Disclaimers: I don't own Tak or any other part of the game.

Author's note: Sorry if this story sounds bad. I'm a sucker for older sibling fics. Also, in the game Lok is not Tak's older brother. In my story, I didn't make Lok the way he is in the game. I made him a protective older sibling. This is reinvented version of my idea for a story about two brothers that are in my school.

Chapter 1: The Job of a Big Brother

Tak, my baby brother. My mom had him when I was ten. I guess you could call him my kid brother….hmm….I don't know….kind of strange to think of him as my kid brother Lok thought.

"Lok! Where are you" Tak yelled as he ran towards him through the field.

"Right here little bro" Lok called to him. He was now responsible for Tak since their parents were killed when Tlaloc first turned evil five years ago. Lok spotted his little brother running towards him. He opened his arms as he bent down. Tak ran into his arms and Lok spun him in circles.

"I think Tlaloc's back" Tak said suddenly. Lok pulled back in his embrace.

"What makes you think that" he asked.

"I don't know. I just have a feeling" Tak said. Lok smiled.

"Looks like you're a shaman like your big brother" he said. All of a sudden, a loud explosion sounded and Lok threw himself and Tak to the ground. He remembered the night his parents died quite clearly.

Flashback:

BANG!

"What the heck" Yok asked. He walked to the window to see fire. His wife, Mao, was standing in the kitchen doorway. Fire rained down on the windowsill. Mao screamed.

"Hid the children" Yok yelled to his wife. Mao ran to ten year old Tak's room and took him out of bed.

"Mom" 20 year old Lok asked sleepily as he walked out of his room to see what the commotion was all about. There was another explosion and Mao grabbed Lok's hand guiding him to a closet.

"Stay in here and make sure you protect your brother" Mao ordered Lok. A couple of minutes later, they heard Mao scream and then it became silent. Lok held Tak close to him while the ten year old cried for his parents.

"Get behind me" Lok ordered. His mother's orders echoed in his head. Tak obeyed as Lok grunted looking around for any signs of Tlaloc. Then he heard Tak gasp. He turned around and saw something that stayed with him the rest of his life.
