CHAPTER END
"Phew…" Naruto sighed as the darkness before dawn approached. A full seven days past by since his 'adoption' into the Britannia family. He wasn't fully adjusted to his new life, but it was a slow process. Lelouch and Nunnally were happy to be with him, as he learned they weren't the most well liked in the family as their mother was from common birth. So they rarely had close family friends, some like that Prince who tricked Naruto and Lihua's sister was oddly one of them.
The rest seemed to hate Naruto when he threatened that little spoiled brat, Carine, as he was not only someone that the Emperor had an eye on, but the others didn't care if he could join their little side given how he wasn't going to bend over for that girl. Now most try to bully him… if he didn't have any shaolin training and knows how to kill a person with a pencil or even a dull butter knife. But it was annoying for those stupid lessons he has to share with many of children.
By no means was he an idiot, as he was given proper education due to his Master and the Emperor of China wanting him to be intelligent for Lihua, and he rather did remarkably apprentely. Given that he was able to be in the same advanced class as Lelouch and some of the other prodigy's.
"Sha, ssh, ka!" Naruto breathed in and thrusted a Chinese sword into the air, a 'gift' for keeping his skills up by his new leader Bismark. Using the weapon allowed Naruto to keep his old moves fresh, despite him having to also use Britannia's new style of combat as his old fighting ways were a last resort.
"You're up rather early."
Naruto didn't turn as he knew that voice, "What do you want Nonette?" He said spinning to continue his usual swordplay, turning he saw the green haired Knight of the Round smiling at him. "I'm keeping up my skills like Bismark told me to."
She nodded watching the boy's graceful yet dangerous practice he constantly does, "And you're doing a fine job, keeping up with that."
"So then why are you here?" He said, by no means he was annoyed with her appearance nor with the woman herself, considering she was one of the few who doesn't judge him on his past. But he does not want to let his country's secrets or the monk's fighting style be stolen.
"There's people that requested to meet with you."
"Not interested." He declared lifting his left leg as he lifted his free up and placed the sword behind his back. The end of his usual hour-long sword training, time for his Kung Fu.
Nonette chuckled as she watched him drop the blade unceremoniously before practicing kicks and punches. "It's in your best interest that you meet with them."
"Why should I?" Naruto questioned looking back after stopping his practice, "I was told to be part of the Vi family. I don't think it is necessary for me to befriend others… especially when others want me to fail so they can mock me." He said as the young man leaned down to wipe off sweat, "Not to sound like a jerk, but I'm a hostage by all technicalities. If I step out of line, that little promise between me and the 'old man' is gone and there is no reason for me to stay… or China's safety."
"Yes, I'm quite aware of your circumstances." Nonette answered with an amused smile on her face. "All that aside, the reason you're meeting with them is because Lelouch and Nunnally are close to them. In fact, the oldest one is someone I know."
Naruto took a moment to consider it, considering his jail cell when he got to Britannia it would be better to have some people to chat to pass the time. He nodded after coming to a decision, "Alright fine… I'll meet with them. When and where?"
"They're visiting you, but I need to let you know ahead of time that later our King wants to speak to you about your education." She said knowing Naruto wanted to hear the boring stuff last. "So you got another few hours to meet up… want some extra help on your training?" She offered to take out her gun and rapier.
Naruto lifted his hands, "Nohoho, way. Unlike Bismark I know I don't have much of a chance with that." The former guardian of China started with a worried tone, while pointing at the gun. "You don't carry nonlethal ammunition and I don't believe you will hold back."
"Hmhmhm, fair enough." Nonette chuckled. "Very well, I'll leave you to it then." She said, before turning on her heel to leave the young man to resume his training.
Naruto felt a bit relieved from that… Nonette was in many ways like him, a strong fighter and an unpredictable force. But unlike him and Bismark she uses a combination of short and long range moves. It was something that he was not quite ready for. Especially against someone like her.
Although most of the Knights of the round were all people he considered not fighting, compared to Alois, they were far superior to him, at least from what he gathered from their short battle. Bismark had almost uncanny skill when reading opponents moves, save for Naruto, his mother's speed was that of lightning bolt as he barely could get a hit on her, and Nonette's duel style of fighting gives her too many options to catch him off guard.
Though he wasn't inferior to them, most agree that his martial arts were so powerful along with almost Superman strength that he can kill anyone with a well placed hit. His willingness to kill and experience made him at least able to hold his Knighthood.
"Geez, this is such a pain in the ass…" Naruto muttered to himself. Britannia is superior meaning he can't ever be complicit to his own skills. Considering the Knights always made allow new and stronger candidates take the positions.
He could only wonder… if Lihua ever did get that new bodyguard yet?
XXXXXXXXXX
After returning back home and taking a quick bath (which was the norm compared to his county quick showers), Naruto saw his personal maid enter his room. She was a drop dead beauty with snowy white hair and ruby colored eyes that made her look like a snow fairy with her alabaster colored skin. "Liz?" The maid bowed her head in subservience.
"Pardon my intrusion, Sir Naruto," Bowing again she resumed, "But your mother requested your presence in the castle."
"Does it have to be now?" Naruto sighed softly, knowing he had to meet with someone his fellow Knight urged him to see.
The maid shook her head, "She said that it was urgent." She declared before leaving, the teen alone.
Again, Naruto sighed before slipping into his usual attire for meeting his father. Most of the time he wears his usual Chinese clothing when he can. But has three sets of clothes, his royal attire that he wears outside of his home, his civilian clothing when he leaves the castle to learn about the country, and lastly his Knight of the round clothing. "Alright fine, but this better be quick." He put on his appropriate attire before moving to his window, leaving from it to head to the throne room.
It didn't take long but entering it showed Naruto three members of the Round, his mother, Bismark, and lastly a green haired man he had never seen before. The new Knight smiled before nodding his head to acknowledge Naruto, "I'm here." He announced as his father sitting in the throne nodded, "What's up?"
Bismark only sighed knowing Naruto would only respectfully talk to the King when it's in public, but never when it's just the Knights members. As they all know the reason is that Charles allows it due to the immense potential of his adoptive sons strength. "I heard your studies are slightly affected by the other children?"
"What about it?" Naruto questioned. "Is there something wrong with that?"
The King nodded, "You are in an advanced course like Lelouch and many other of my children, but many of those said children do not understand your strength… nor you showing them first hand by instilling fear into them." He reminded the teen who scoffed at the idea of his power being used for little else than intimidation. The powerful should protect the weak. It was something that Jin and the emperor believed in and something they passed onto him and Lihua.
"With all due respect, why should I instill fear into them?"
"For you are now part of Britannia, boy! Power is the one thing this country demands, I require no loss of children who cannot strive to live in the world we live in today!" He shouted his ideals before calming his mood down, "But I do understand that you don't want to cause any issues that could let you lose your pact with me. So… this Knight has given you a choice that will give everyone a beneficial opportunity to grow."
"And… may I ask what that choice is?" Naruto raised a quizzical eyebrow at the King. What was he up to?
"My father can teach you…" the new face Naruto never saw finally spoke, walking up with a weak smile. "Hello, Knight of the Round, Eternal A. Ray, honor to meet China's deadly Corpse Eating Demon."
That nickname sent Naruto warning bells in his head, only Jin and the Emperor learned about his origins as an orphan who had to kill people to survive in the desert. It was one of the forbidden things that monks and servants must never discuss…and no has. Yet an outsider knows it?
"How do you know that?" Naruto's eyes furrowed in suspicion as his stance was suddenly defensive and understandably so.
"Knight of the Round, of assassination and intelligence gathering." Marianne answered kindly although she made way towards her son making sure to get near him in case of anything, "Due to his unusual gift of being unnoticeable he can go weeks under the enemy's countries or our Number Areas to check the land. It is no secret that bandits speak of your kill count."
"…Dare I ask what else he uncovered?" Naruto couldn't help but ask, as his own curiosity outweighs any thoughts of holding any information that might cause him trouble.
"Surprisingly nothing, odd isn't it?" Ray chuckled, scratching the back of his head. "You think a child like yourself would have a birth certificate, DNA matches to anyone in any nation database… but nothing. I was afraid to come back, thinking they lobbed my head off for my first failure in history." He even made a chopping motion with his hand, no doubt worried that it was indeed going to happen. This man made Naruto relaxed yet tense. He acted comical but his words had a double meaning that caused the teen to not let his guard down. "Good thing you're on our side."
Naruto couldn't help but give him the stink eye. Something told him that there was more than he was letting on.
The green haired man looked frazzled as he lifted his arms, "Uhh… now now, truth be told I know it's not wise to speak of secrets but you got none… well save the fact three lovely Asian beauties hand wash him is something even I-"
"Don't remind me~!"
"They what?!" The female Knight grabbed the weak man and hoisted him up by his collar, "That wasn't in your reports! Tell me, did they do anything else?" Shaking him violently as she said this the man replied in a comical and equally shaky voice. "Don't hide the truth!"
"Ugh…" Charles had the audacity to pinch the bridge of his nose in annoyance. Fools these days…
"W-Well anyway," Ray said after calming the wife to the King down, "My father, a former ally of the King personally, would be willingly to teach you. My son is also being taught by him, so it could be a fun time given that my old man isn't prejudiced to people outside our nation."
Naruto looked at his 'father' who gave a rare warm smile, "Indeed he tells the truth, his father is a childhood friend of mine. Despite him leaving the empire to live a more peaceful lifestyle he has done great things to warrant a peaceful retirement." The fact he spoke kindly to someone outside… well his wife, Naruto's new mother, practically worried Naruto. This man truly had done great things if Charles allowed him such comfort and continued to speak fondly of him. "Though my one gripe on the old goat was that he believed everyone is equal… a counter to mine, Not all Men are created equal, ideals."
"That's my old man for you, contradictory as ever. Hates people's guts but still believes in peace for them." The assassin states with a soft laugh.
"I… see." Those were the only words that Naruto could say. What else could he really say?
Ray claps his hands to catch Naruto's attention, "Well anyway, here's a problem, since my father lives outside the castle, it's going to take at least an hour trip back and forth for lessons. You might stay over for weekends if you don't do well either, trust me not even an army will help you doing remedial lessons from him." He warned leaning closely as Naruto leaned back from the odd friendly man leaning face.
"I'll make a note of that…" Naruto muttered with a slight deadpan on his face… but something was off… Naruto looked at the man before noticing something, "Hey Ray?"
Naruto's hand lifted his pockets where he had placed them aiming for the man's throat! And reached his intended target… while the man seem to vanish-
"Wha…?!" Naruto gasped when his view started to distort and soon fell to the ground. Looking up to see Ray looking apologetic.
"Oh damn, I didn't mean to do that!" He quickly helps the young man up as he dust off the blonde. "I mean the second you tried to attack with killing intent, it was already past the point of no return." The green haired man rapidly said as Naruto's mind seemed to recover enough to speak.
"What… the hell did you just-" Naruto tried to comprehend what just happened.
"Judo…" Bismark sighed, clearly annoyed on the fighting style, "He used an eastern style of combat that allowed him to shift your force-"
"Nah, it's more like I got lucky!" Ray smiled, chuckled softly, clearly downplaying his abilities.
Bismark clearly wasn't amused with his answer. Unlike Naruto who was modest, this Knight always acted like he was weaker and completely makes it like he gets lucky. Luck is a factor but this man made the whole knighthood of their elites seem to be weak. But he does know that if he had to, Ray could kill everyone if he had the proper time and effort.
Judo… Naruto had seen styles from other monks who were lucky enough to also see or practice in it. It's mostly throwing their hands and feet.
But that wasn't right, it was like the force he used was also in the attack… How could that man do that? However he turned to the King and looked back at Ray, "…Why me?"
Charles gave a nod to Ray as the Knight spoke, "My dad seemed interested in you." He shrugged, "Old man seems to think you have the potential to help his dream."
"Surely, there has to be more than that…" Naruto frowned in suspicion.
"Well it's not like Men of totally different principles can never act together." He said, chuckling as he pointed up as the king and knights looked up… save for Naruto whose eyes widened in shock.
That was one of Jin's favorite sayings in China, it meant that even if people can never get along they can still fight and work together for their dream… it was no secret that if any Britannia, besides a few, can say different languages, sayings or even clothes from other countries or areas they captured… they will be put to prison or death. "I accept." Naruto looked at Charles Zi Britannia… who smirked at this choice.
But when turning to Ray, it was the blonde's turn to smirk as he found an ally, maybe two. Ray put his life on the line for Naruto to capture that saying… he would at least see where this gesture can lead him.
Charles looked back at Naruto. "You've made a wise choice, young man. It would be in your best interest to stay with this professor… Even if you hate him, I was kind enough to allow this generous choice." Standing from his throne in an attempt to look down at Naruto even more, "Otherwise, it would be spitting at your father's face if you were to suddenly say you wanted to stop or find another teacher."
The blonde nodded knowing he was trapped anyway, it's not like one man could make his life worse than the royal brats in class tend to do. Charles glares down at the rest as Marianne pulls her son to leave.
She smiled sweetly as she made him and her leave the area. "Now that we have dispensed with important matters, we best be off to meet with your new siblings."
…
As they left, Ray looked to Charles who's stare seemed to make him shallow unconsciously, "Yes, your majesty?"
Only one thing left from the emperor's mouth, "Never speak of Chinese sayings again…" he warned once as the son of the man he respected seemed to deflate his words. "If you were not the son of my oldest friend… the one who helped me survive the horrors of what I endured. I would have asked my Knight of One to cut your head, ask my wife to spit at your severed head and my new son to burn it."
Soon the Knight lost any passion or jest in his face as he spoke in an icy cold tone, "Yes, Your Majesty. My apologies." Ray apologized, bowing to him when getting on one knee. "It will not happen again." '…For now…'
"Your father… give him my regards." Charles let a cocky smirk as the green haired man scratched the back of his head in slight worry.
"Sure… if he even lets me after saying your name." He bluntly whined, the only man to argue and even insult the king was his own father. If anyone in the country knew that person, the factions like the Pure Bloods or even the small teams under the knights would kill him for speaking such things. While his only friend, the emperor of the country, is the only one who continues to speak to him.
XXXXXXXXXX
"A team?" Naruto asked, as his mother and him return home and change their clothes, thankfully a screen blocking their bodies from each other's sights. "I have to make one?"
"Yes dear." Her head popped out from the screen, blushing as she dodged back into it. "Oh dear sorry!" She mumbled, getting an eye full of his rigid body. "Do wear that Chinese clothing if you want." She kindly started before resuming back to humming.
"Uh… sure." Naruto blinked
As she was finished, she spoke waiting for her son to continue dressing up, "Yes, all the knights have one, or a royal guard when not in duty. Like I have." She explained as Naruto indeed met her personal guard, all males who idolize her as a goddess.
"Okay, does it require a specific number of people or I can have as many as I want?"
"Ummm…" the woman cutely placed a finger on her lips, "I heard one used his harem for his team so… ten?" She questioned at the largest amount she could remember.
*PFFFFFFFFT!*
Naruto did a spit take, "Excuse me?!"
"Oh no, it's not like that!" She started as Naruto sighed, "She was a woman and her harem was full of men. Don't worry about that!" She smiled warmly despite Naruto turning pale at the suggestions.
"I'm… going to have to take a… reasonable approach…"
"Understandable… they didn't survive very long…" Marianne deadpanned, "But two teams I could give as prime examples were Alois's Dead Knights and The Knight you met, Ray, the Silencers. The knights were all men who had nothing to live for but death… which they are thanks to you." She pointed out as Naruto realized the men he killed were Alois men from Tianzi being kidnapped, "While the Silencers are a ghost network for Ray, from whores to royalty, where areas or the homeland… he has a spy in every corner."
"You don't say…" Naruto muttered. That was something worth making a note of.
"But be warned," Marianne said, walking to Naruto despite him being shirtless, and making Naruto walk to a wall… she leaned forward. "These people… are an extension of yourself, find loyalty to yourself and only you." She muttered in a serious tone, a gaze in her eye that made Naruto's heart beat from the sheer intensity of it.
"…Yes ma'am." Naruto could only nod, blushing as he coughed. "Mind… moving so I can put on my shirt?"
Marianne blinked, before looking down and noticing he was still not dressed, "Sorry~!" She cried out, stepping back.
"And she's one of the best knights…" he chuckled… but honestly like her, this woman wasn't like some kind of racist nor treats him differently just because he isn't like a Britannian. This woman… who is so childish and yet strong. Fearless and comical, ferocious and forgetful, devious and overly sweet.
That was the mother he always wanted…
Once Naruto was fully dressed, Naruto wore a traditional Chinese shirt and loose black pants. It was one of his nicer ones. As he walked out his mother was in her usual orange dress smiling as he led him to where his siblings were waiting. Lelouch casually played chess with himself where he was no doubt training against their brother Schneizel who was an unbeatable opponent that the young prince could not best.
Nunnally was drawing a rather crude yet cute drawing of the blonde of the family as their mother clapped her hands to grab their attention. "Alright, time to go to the Li family." She sweetly reminded the two kids who had excited smiles as they nodded.
Lelouch looked at his older brother with a worry, "Will he be ok dressed… like that?" He asked, knowing that despite Naruto's odd taste in clothing from other lands, the other members of the family would cause some trouble for it. "I know the girls will be but their-"
The mother of three children placed a finger on her lips, "Nothing of her concern, she will be sipping her necessary juice." She winked, making Nunnally confused and Lelouch stifled a laugh, "Let's go~!" She raised her fist into the air and marched with her kids.
The young blonde looked at the young prince as he spoke, "I thought I was told that the people are kind?" he asked, remembering Nonette words, and she never really lied to him before… besides mutual pranks.
"Long story, the mother of the family is the exact opposite to mother." Lelouch started as Nunnally went on ahead to hold hands with Marianne. "Our half sisters are the ones who we are happy to meet."
"How come?" Naruto asked as Lelouch sighed at the annoyance, it wasn't like he hates Naruto. Ever since he defended his honor and more importantly got even for Nunnally from the bullies of their family, Lelouch saw Naruto as a real brother. But at times it seems like Naruto really knew nothing of their family, it took awhile for him to connect the dots. But Naruto wasn't Britannia, but Chinese, a hostage in order to keep his country safe.
But it didn't matter as his mother and sister like him, and Lelouch will admit that...in his head only. "Mother is a commoner, the fact she got her title from marriage and being a knight rather than being born is still something the other wives of our father hates. Not to mention, we have a bigger home than most of them, better maids, and generally have father bend to her whims than most."
Naruto couldn't help but compare his new mother to Lady Lihua's own mother, it seems that she won Charles' heart. The family quickly reached another villa almost as big as their own, the mother of the group knocked on the door to show a butler bowing to them. "Lady Marianne, is it already two days?" He said as the woman nodded rapidly in a comical manner. "You're in luck, Lady Ophelia just finished her usual drink…s."
'…was there a plural in there?' Naruto wondered in his mind as the man kindly allowed them to enter their home and even gave Naruto a kind smile.
"Allow me to get the young ladies." He declared as the butler left the room, as Naruto looked around and wrinkle his nose. It was… full of lavender… the smell, color and pretty sure nearly all the plants were that as well. It causes his sense of smell to gag on the scent, it was one thing if used sparingly it was a delightful one. But…
"Rather like being choked by it right?" Lelouch gave a strain smile as he cracked a window to allow some air to help dilute the awful smell. "Their mother is infatuated with the plant, so be prepared to enjoy long baths to get the smell out if you hate it." He warned as Naruto chuckled, he didn't hate it but he would at least take a good bath.
"Auntie Anne!" The siblings turn to see the butler walk back with two girls in tow, one of them with pink…
"Huh…" Naruto mumbled as he felt… a pain in his heart when seeing that particular color in his sights. Like… something that he couldn't help but missed dearly. But yes… this child seems to be the same age as Lelouch, wearing a yellow-orange frilly dress with a big red ribbon around her neck. She had amethyst colored eyes like Lelouch but a slightly lighter shade.
"Oh it's… him." Another girl said, walking towards the group clearly not too fond of the sight of Naruto. However his mother gave a soft yet sad smile to the girl.
"Cornelia… please be kind to my son. If only for my sake at least?" The fastest Knight of the Round requested as kindly as she could. Which the younger female nodded, walking towards Naruto who eyes widened at her beauty when gazing at her beauty.
She was wearing a plaid skirt and light coat with a light lavender blouse with a blue ribbon tied to around the collar. She had short purple hair and indigo colored eyes, she nodded to his presence, "My name is Cornelia Li Britannia, I'm… honored to meet you." She said with a slight pause as Naruto gave a nod back to her.
He turned to see the pink haired girl meeting his gaze, "M-My name is Euphemia Li Britannia, nice to meet you." She said as Naruto smiled back and bowed to the young girl.
"Honored to meet you." He replied as he watched Nunnally and Euphemia walk to another room, while Lelouch talked to his mother leaving both of the oldest siblings of the Vi/Li households. He looked at the girl before she shifted in place from his gaze.
"Yes?" She said clearly, a bit disturbed at his intense gaze.
"…Beautiful…" He said without realizing he actually meant it.
The girl eyes widen at the compliment and so direct that she suck in oxygen that went down the wrong pipe, "*Cough* I- *Cough*!" She tried to speak until she calmed her heart. "I… am uhh…"
Naruto raised his hands, "Wait, I didn't- No! I did but-"
"Appreciate it/Apologies!" They said at the exact same time… until they just stared at each other from the incredible timing and crack smiles.
The girl lost it as she spoke, "My… siblings speak well of you." She looked at the younger girls with a motherly smile.
"I could say the same to you." Naruto chuckled looking at his only male sibling as he spoke, "Your mother is-"
"I… don't wish to talk about her." Cornelia whispered, showing a soft side in her stern look, she turned to him with a curious look. "A knight of the round?"
Now the blonde lost his smile, "For now I am the knight of twelve, nothing really special. In fact outside of that role, I'm not really a knight. Bismark and the others say I am worthy of being one but my age and inexperience in this country isn't enough for me to be in the field yet." He knew this already when he was forced to attend classes and his workload was heavy on Britannia's history.
The purple blink at that information, "I see… that must be unfair." She suspected she too would one day join her homeland forces to protect and enforce their rule. But her respect for the Knights of the Round was something that she can reach. Nearly all children's stories revolve on the original knights of the round table or the ones that are currently on duty. She always saw them as the valiant knights of her country. So hearing someone having the honor of one but cannot perform his duties due to his… unique way of becoming one is rather sad in her view.
However she didn't expect a cocky smile on Naruto's face as he shook his head, "Not really, but I can spend the time getting to know my little brother and sister." He mused as Nunnally and Euphemia wave at them holding drawings of the two. The older siblings gush at their sisters' talents as they once again laugh at their similar reactions.
"…" After what seemed like hours Cornelia smirked, "I trust you, far more than some of the other siblings in this area." She spoke truthfully as she turned to Naruto. "If you need to talk to someone about anything, I can lend an ear." She offered as the young smiled at her kindness.
From the corner of her eye, Naruto's mother smiled as she achieved her goal slowly making her adoptive son gain more people he can trust. This was good… and soon he will meet her friend perhaps…perhaps he will join her in bringing peace.

The young Knight of the round was driving with Nonette who was smiling in a smug manner, "Told you," she started playfully on his shoulder as Naruto chuckled at her attempt to create some better atmosphere. "I told you those girls would be good for you."
"Alright… you were right." He said as Nonette hummed in victory, although he spoke with a confused tone. "Why are you taking me to my new teacher shouldn't that man Ray be doing that?"
She shook her head as they were out of the castle walls, "He is there apparently dropping someone off there as well."
Naruto raised an eyebrow, "Who would that be?"
The green haired knight shrugged as she slowed down her vehicle as she and Naruto stepped out to see Ray with… a younger version of himself standing beside him, waving at Naruto cheerfully. They looked at each other with slack open jaws, "…Apparently he has a clone…" She muttered as she and the young man moved towards them. "Hey Ray, I got him and who's… the clone?"
The man chuckled as he pulled the younger man from his side in front of the two knights, "This is my son, Ribbons, introduce yourself." He whispered as the teen scoffed and looked away from the two, but relented and gave an indifferent tone.
"My name is Ribbons Almark. It's an honor to meet you." He replied rather robotically.
The young man could only glare at the fellow teen as he felt that snobbish nature rubbed him the wrong way… more so than the other royal brats he had to deal with. Like… a certain duck butted haired teen talking the exact same way… ok he might have issues with people lately. First pink is a trigger and now this rude jerk, he should talk to his mother.
"You'll have to forgive my son," Ray apologized. "His social etiquette is… a work-in-progress."
"Tch…" He said glaring at his father, "Why should I? I hate those royalty snobs. We're all the same, so why must we act like that for those idiots who never lift a finger in their lives!" He shouted as Nonette suddenly grabbed the collar of his shirt with an empty look on her face.
"...Next time you say that near me, you're going to be spitting out your teeth…after I shove them back in your throat." She warned coldly as Ribbons nodded shakily as she pushed him away from her and on his rear end. "The reason why is not to appease them but to remind you of your own station, that we are protecting them. They need to understand that they can be 'Royal Snobs' because we are able to let them feel like that. Understood?"
Naruto gulped as he slowly stepped back. 'Better not get on her bad side…' he really hoped that one day that he would never get on her angry side, the fact he was a bit daunted on her fighting abilities just made him vow to never pissher off.
Although she was on the right, she closed one eye as she scratched the back of her head, "Uhh… sorry Ray, didn't mean to rough house your kid." She apologized as the man smiled and lifted his hand to wave it off.
"No, it's fine, really." Ray then cleared his throat, looking at Naruto as he helped Ribbons up. "Naruto, this will be your fellow student as Ribbons was also kicked out of his school for causing too many fights. So please try to get along, it is better for you two to have a friendship with each other."
"Uh… sure, I'll try." Naruto said, unsure of how this will even play out during the next several weeks, perhaps even months.
"Well come on," Ray said, pointing to a car nearby where he was going to take them, "It's an hour away but we can make it if we take some shortcuts." He offered as Nonette paled and slowly walked away as Ribbons made an audible gulping sound.
"Cool, let's do it~!" Naruto said as the next hour… was-
XXXXX
"THAT WAS AWESOME~!" Naruto shouted when leaving the car, "I didn't think driving off a cliff would cut down time so much!"
"I… I don't feel so good…" Ribbons moaned, as he held his stomach and his complexion being rather pale. "I think I'm going to puke… urrrp!" His cheeks bulged, trying to hold in his vomit.
"Oh dear Ribbons! I told you that the sandwich wasn't good to eat!" Ray rushed to his son's side who had a 'are you serious' glare at the older male. But didn't say anything as his father never saw his driving was a problem. "C'mon your grandfather has some stomach medicine in the kitchen, Naruto," The knight gestured Naruto to his home, "Come along now."
The young man hurriedly moved to the home, which was modest in size, almost bigger than most commoner families as he saw when leaving the palace in China. Entering the house and watching the two green haired teens walk towards another room, Naruto looked at their living room.
"Huh… I have to admit, it's not half bad." Naruto commented offhandedly. He saw a watercolor painting of a forest, and a golden flute sitting on a table. "Its worn down…" he said, noticing some of the metal slightly used and oxidized. "He has a love of fine arts, yet…" he turned back to the painting where he could tell it was more beautiful than most art he had seen. "He-"
"It's more of a hobby than something I wish to show to the public." A stern voice said from behind Naruto who turned to see an older gentleman walking towards him.
He was an elder man who looked to be in his 40's with short brown hair, his hair line being on the right side of his head with dull eyes, covered by circular glasses and a pointed goatee to match his angular face. Wearing a light colored suit that most men outside of royalty would wear to make themselves seem important.
"You're that child that Charles asked me to teach… the one from China." He started with a stoic look, "I do not appreciate him forcing me to teach you."
Naruto sighed as he crossed his arms, "Because I'm a savage?"
The man sighed as he looked at the young man's eyes directly, there was no hate… for the first time in his life Naruto only saw… understand yet sadness in that man's eyes. "You and so many others in Britannia are prone to casting away those who do not understand you, have you ever tried to reach out to others despite your differences? Have you?" He asked as Naruto glared as he shouted back.
"I do, I…" His words hitched in his throat as he realized...he hasn't not one has he ever tried to understand those who hated him. "I...didn't…" Naruto whispered in a low tone at his mistake.
The glasses wearer closed his eyes as he continued, "You at least can admit that, listen child...I do not hate you but I don't like how you close your mind to others." He started as the man took a moment to glance at Naruto's fists which were rough and bruised from his training from his young career. "But as long as you are my student, I will teach you about how to understand others."
"What?"
The man sighed as he gave Naruto a serious look, "As I said what I hate are people who misused their abilities and knowledge, the ones who get so caught up in their own beliefs and prejudices. Which leads to misunderstandings, discord and finally conflict. If I can get you to at least understand others...then I can at least have some hope for this country."
Naruto blinked, he wants him to be understanding? "Really? From what I gather you seem to rather not give a shit on this place, uh excuse the lack of tact and curse word."
The man seemed to be okay giving a curt nod, "I do care but it's a losing battle, but people must change or less even if Charles conquers the world it would just cause bigger wars to happen." He cracks a smile to catch Naruto. "And that would be a sad thing…"
"...Heh." The former guardian of the princess of China grinned widely, "Alright uh, sorry I don't know your name sir." Naruto asked as the man gave an annoyed sigh at that.
"Of course Charles would not miss the chance to aggregate me…nonetheless, like you would not be called 'boy' or 'child' in our lessons. You may call me Aeolia Schenberg, no need for a mister or professor." He curtly explained as Naruto nodded as he pointed to the room behind him. "Your class is in my study, wait for my grandson and we shall start the lesson." Watching the blonde earnestly nod to his words and hurry to the room made the man rather...hopefully. "Perhaps if he's anything like Jin and Yao, he might be a valuable ally in the future of this world." He muttered not realizing Ribbons heard that and look at where Naruto was waiting.
A person who would also change the world for the better like him? Ribbons chuckled at the implications of that, perhaps Naruto could work for him but...Ribbons Almark will be the one who change this world...no one…
Not even Britannia would stand in his way.
