A/N: I have no excuse.

"You all alright?"

"I'm always alright."

It was true. He was always alright. Always alright, always there, saving the day, always surviving. Coming through alive in body if not in mind. Lonely. That word could sum up his entire existence. Lonely trapped on that stuffy planet, lonely when they were gone, the lonely god, her lonely angel. And he had just had to grin and carry on. Bury it deep, so deep the darkness became ingrained into his very soul. Bury it because if he didn't, he wouldn't be able to carry on. And without the Doctor, the last of the Time Lords, everything good would disappear. It might be the Daleks, in 200,100 or the Krillitains in 2006 but while evil was there, he had to be. The pain of every loss left a scar. But scars heal. He was the Doctor. And he was always alright.

If anyone knows how to spell Krillitains, please say. Anyway, reviews are good.
