(Plot Summary)

Some small parts of the original timeline have been tweaked, this a UA of how the story went after Renesmee was born .

Let me set the scene for you.

Imagine if Jacob never imprinted on Renesmee, and never made the angry decision to tell the other wolves. What if no one knew until after Bella gave birth, what if they were able to judge Renesmee by meeting her instead of assuming. This story takes place when the Volturi find out about Renesmee from Irina, and Alice leaves to find witnesses.

That is all from me, onto our story.

Thank you for reading,

xoxo Eden.

PROLOGUE:

It was there that I had my human life ripped from me by a nomad that thought that I would be an easy target. That was until he discovered the fact that I was a shield, and my blood was able to deflect itself from his selfish ways. My gift stopped him from draining me dry. Unfortunately it wasn't able to repel his venom that was able to gain access to my bloodstream. It was three painful days of complete agony, three days until I finally took my last breath.

CHAPTER ONE:

I felt unsure of my decisions I had made a week ago. Why am I starting over yet again? Why of all places did I choose to move back to Seattle, Washington? Why am I coexisting with humans in an apartment downtown, where I could potentially run into various issues that wouldn't be good for my reputation in my world? Especially when it comes to the Volturi, that would be the worst punishment of all.

The Volturi are the worst group of vampires I have ever been in contact with. Their leader, Aro, well he was something else.

He's been trying to get me to join them since we first met. As soon as he was able to tell that I had one gift, he decided that I would be a great asset to their coven, but I kindly declined, and have unfortunately been doing so for the past 54 years. Thankfully Aro, and his disciples weren't able to figure out what other gifts I have, as my mind was unreadable, this gave me a great advantage. I was envious of other vampires that didn't have to deal with these unwanted gifts, I know they're usually considered a huge deal with others but with me it never felt the same.

I was born in 1931, two years before both of my parents would go missing. My mother Rosalie Lillian Hale gave birth out of wedlock, and her parents didn't approve as this would tarnish their reputation. Although they were only a part of my life for a limited amount of time, my parents gave me all their love. I never truly knew what happened to them, as I was very young when they disappeared. One day they were there, and the next they were gone and I was being dropped off at an orphanage.

I spent many years there, longing for my parents to run in and tell me that it was all just a bad dream, but they never came. I had been there for 16 years, when I finally decided to leave and create a new life for myself. When I left the orphanage, I moved to Seattle, Washington. It was there that I had my human life ripped from me by a nomad that thought that I would be an easy target. That was until he discovered the fact that I was a shield, and my blood was able to deflect itself from his selfish ways. My gift stopped him from draining me dry, but wasn't able to repel the venom that was able to gain access to my bloodstream. It was three painful days of complete agony, three days until I finally took my last breath.

At the moment, I'm currently walking back from a hunt. I know for a fact there are two of my kind following me, I can sense them. I don't use my gifts for anything unless I feel threatened, and at this moment I'm not too sure if they're apart of the Volturi or what.

"Can I help you?" I questioned my pursuers as I froze time, so we were the only ones aware of our current position. I looked at both of them, there was a shorter woman with a pixie haircut, honey coloured eyes, and the biggest smile on her face. The man she was with was of a medium stature with short blonde hair, and the same honey coloured eyes.

Just by looking into their eyes, I was able to feel every emotion and read every thought that ever ran through their minds. Why were they looking for witnesses? Just as I was asking myself this question, I saw images of the Volturi, and of a little girl these two and their family were trying to protect. As great as this gift is, it doesn't always allow me to see the faces of people I haven't met before. I know there is a big group of witnesses that have gathered together, I know they need my help. "Eden McCarty?" the female asked me, I nodded my head and she practically threw herself at me. "We've been looking everywhere for you."
