Just another reason to HATE Black

Chapter One: The Fates

"Sirius, look who it is. Snivelus has come to chat. What do you say, shall we humor him?" James Potter asked, smirking uncontrollably. Severus Snape gilded across the snowy grounds towards the tree the marauders were seated under, enjoying their Christmas holiday. James and Sirius watched as Severus stalked past them, buried in one of his potion books. Sirius gave James a quick nod, and they took after Snape, both wanting to start a little trouble. "Hey, Snivelus wait up." James yelled catching up to the Slytherin boy.

He hadn't even looked up as Sirius and James stepped in front of him to stop him from walking away. Slowly, he shut the book, and slipped it into his bag. "What do you want, Potter?" Sev asked coldly, sneering.

"Now, Snivelus, is that any way to talk to your superiors." James replied, and Sirius chuckled.

"I know your not talking about you, or Black here so I don't see why I can't." Both James and Sirius grew red in the face, as Severus continued. " Your little group, Potter is nothing but flithy Half- bloods, and muggle lovers." In an instant Severus was upside down, hanging by his ankles, over the lake.

James laughed, "Muggle lovers, Snivelus? That was uncalled for. I think I'll have to teach a lesson in manners." With a flick of his wand, Severus was dropped into the icy water, and held there. When James brought him to the surface, he was turning blue and shivering. "Apologize, Snake, or die." James looked at Sirius, who nodded when Sev didn't answer. His silence earned him another plunge into the lake. This time, when James brought him up, there was a crowd watching.

"James you're going to kill him!" A red headed girl screamed. She was being held back by Sirius, who smiled as James dropped him again. "James let him go, please let him go!"

"NO! Not this time, Lily!" James retorted, a crazed look in his eyes.
