Welcome to Kairi's Resolve, I hope you enjoy the trip.
Brought to you by the fact I decided it would be fun to have Kairi travel with Final Fantasy characters instead of Disney ones.
Kairi was reading Jiminy's Journal when she had an idea of how to find Sora.
Tron. She could talk to the computer program, he'd know of worlds that Sora had been, or maybe even worlds that Sora hadn't been.
As helpful as Ansem has been, a part of her didn't trust any of them with this.
Couldn't trust them with this.
"Tron? Are you there, can you hear me?"
There was no response to her question.
"Tron, please, the password is Sora, Donald and Goofy, I need your help to find Sora, I'm Kairi."
"Sora's in trouble?" The computer asked.
Kairi jumped about a foot, before nodding.
"He's missing, I need to find him, please, help me find him."
"What do you need?" The computer asked.
"Do you have a list of Worlds that he could have ended up in? Might not be ones he's been to."
"Unfortunately, the list of worlds I have are mainly ones Sora's been too. The organization as far as I can see went to most of the same ones." Tron answered, bringing the list onto the screen. "But there may be someone else who can help. His name's Cloud Strife, and according to Sora and other sources, he traveled to worlds without a keyblade or ship it seems. He's not the talkative type, but he might be your best bet." A picture of a spiky haired blond appeared. "May I access your phone?"
"Of course." Kairi pulled out her phone and plugged it in where Tron directed her.
"I'll keep your information safe, but I'll be able to see your location, we'll be able to chart the worlds."
"Deal." Kairi watched a button appear on her phone's screen.
The Restoration Committee is surprised by her asking, but point her to a dark building where someone's been working on a couple gummi ships.
Cloud Strife is working on something with dark colored gummi blocks and is silent as she explains what she wants.
"That's dangerous, the paths we'll go down … they're easy to get lost." Cloud informs her.
"I'm not scared. It's my turn to search for Sora!"
"Show me your resolve then." Cloud summoned a sword that was as big as he was.
Kairi was used to Heartless, and even training with Axel hadn't been like this- Cloud didn't let her fall back to recover and she ended up on the ground.
Kairi struggled up, because she couldn't loose now! She hadn't even gotten started. She stumbled and was surprised when Cloud caught her.
"Drink this."
The potion tasted awful, but Kairi felt better afterwards. Well enough to stand on her own.
"I have to find Sora, I can't... I can't keep doing the same thing over and over."
"Hold on to that resolve. The roads I traveled... aren't easy." His side shimmered, darkness that was oil black formed a wing, and a claw formed on his hand. "They can change you. That said, I'll take you to someone who might know where Sora ended up."
"What's this?" Kairi asked as he started up the machine he'd been working on.
"A motorcycle gummi ship. I call it Fenrir. Hop on and hold onto me." The wing and claw vanished.
Neither noticed that a third person had heard their conversation and had stowed away in Kairi's hood.
I'm writing this how I imagine it would play as a video game.
Cloud's the tutorial battle, and Fenrir is just the starting gummi ship.
