Confessions & Work Shifts
The rest of the morning flew by. The girls spend hours on the couch just talking, eating pancakes and ofcourse... kissing. Neither of them really wanting the moment to pass. But at 4 o'clock Brittany sighed, she had to go get ready for work soon. "Whats up Britt?" Santana asked quietly seeing the blondes expression had changed. "Don't want to go to work today?" Brittany didn't say anything and just nodded. "I understand, but we will have plenty of time to do this all over again soon" Santana smiled grabbing the blondes hand, entwining their fingers. "And besides I bet Jax will be there aswell so he will...-" Santana let it slip before she could realize. Brittany's eyes widened "Jax?" she asked "How do you know Jax? And how do you know I work with him?" she asked confused. "Britt.. I am so sorry" the latina started while grabbing the blondes other hand into hers aswell, wanting her as close as possible. "Last Saturday I was having a girls night with Quinn to take my mind off things and she took me to your work, which ofcourse I didn't know was your work.." the latina rambled looking away from the blondes confused gaze "Jax is Quinn's boyfriend" Santana explained.
"But Saturday... I was working that night... San, did you- you see me?" The blonde whispered. The latina looked back in Brittany's eyes and nodded. Brittany sighed and dropped her hands a little "why didn't you tell me San?" the sighed "You saw my sister and Dylan aswell than I guess?" she added receiving yet another nod from the older girl. "Why didn't you come up and say hi? Why didn't you mention it later? You pretended like you never saw my sister before when she came round for dinner." Brittany asked sounding a little sad. "I am sorry Britt I don't know what to say" Santana started "Saturday night I just couldn't go and see you, I didn't know what to say ..." she explained looking into Brittany's eyes "but you are right, I should've atleast said something when we met again afterwards.. I guess I was chickening out of it" Santana said. Brittany nodded sadly "Are you scared Santana?" Brittany asked boldly receiving a small nod from the older girl next to her on the couch. Brittany sighed and placed her hand on Santana's thigh. "What are you afraid of San..?" Brittany whispered.
"You were the reason Quinn took me out in the first place you know.." Santana mumbled quietly "to take my mind of you.. When I came home that Friday night Quinn was waiting for me at home. We talked about you and about you asking me to move in" Santana said. Brittany just nodded, letting the latina finish her explanation. "I told-" Santana stumbled "I told Quinn that night that I think I'm falling for you Brittany... and it scares the hell out of me" she said looking away from the Blonde.
"You think you are falling for me?" the blonde asked smiling sofly. "I am falling Britt, but it scares me so much. The last time I gave my heart away someone took it for granted and stepped on it before giving it all away" Santana sighed. Brittany smiled at the latina "San, I would never take you for granted I promise. I am falling for you too San…" the blonde breathed. "I wish you'd be able to see how much I adore you, you are all I think about nowadays, whether you're around me or not. I have you on my mind constantly" Brittany said while taking the latina's hands in hers.
Santana smiled at her not really knowing what to say. "What did she do San?" Brittany asked all of a sudden. Santana sighed when she realized the blonde was talking about Sarah "This Sarah girl, what did she do to you?" Brittany continued. Santana didn't want all the memories coming back to her. But she knew that if she wanted to be with Brittany she needed to let the blonde in. And that meant, sharing her past and her fears. "Sarah was beautiful" Santana started "I met her at school, she was one of the popular girls and openly gay. I was attracted to her straight away. I think Sarah has always known that I would do anything for her. After a while we started dating in secret, Sarah conviced me that was best for us. I thought she wanted that because of the talks and the looks we might've gotten at school. But turned out she was cheating on me all those months with plently of different girls…" Santana sighed. "That's why she didn't want us to be a couple in public, she was living this double life. After my work at intership she came over to my place, in all those months I've only been to her place 2 or 3 times." Brittany wrapped her arm around the latina, slightly pulling her closer in to her. "I forgave her Britt, I have no idea why but I was so in love with this girl. She told me she'd never do it again and I believed her… But a few weeks later I wanted to surprise visit her at her place. The door wasn't locked so I just walked in. And then I caught her, in bed.." Santana whispered almost to embarresed to say it outloud. "Oh sweetie" Brittany sighed. "I still don't know why I believed her. I should've known better, she could never change her ways" Santana said softly "I have a hard time trusting people Britt, the past year I was too scared to start something serious with anyone. Apart from a few kisses and one night stands, I haven't been letting myself feel anything.. Until a few weeks ago.." the latina started.
Brittany just smiled and said "I'm glad you told me Santana, I understand you have a hard time trusting new people again. I promise to always be honest to you, and until you are sure, I'll be waiting for you" the blonde wrapped her arms tighter around the latina and sofly pulled her against her "I've never felt this way about a girl before" she smiled. "Aren't you scared? Santana whispered. "Not anymore, I trust you San and I know that you wouldn't do anything to hurt me. You are moving in soon… my family likes you.. I have nothing to be afraid of" the blonde smiled. "You are something else Miss Pierce" Santana sighed before kissing Brittany softly on her lips. "I have a plan" Santana started. "How about you do get dressed and I will take you to work?" Brittany's wide smile dissapeared a little at the word 'work' but she knew she had to and just nodded at the brunette. "What shift do you have?" Santana smiled at the blonde seeing her smile fading. "5 o'clock till around 11" Brittany sighed. Santana grabbed the blondes hand and rubbed it softly before saying "I'll be there… I'll be sitting at the bar around 11. You can make me a drink and after that I will take you home." Brittany's smiled appeared again. "I'll be in the same spot where I was last Saturday, and this time I will come and talk to you, I don't want to be scared anymore Britt" the latina finished softly. "Now go get your butt dressed Britt" she laughed slapping her blondes ass when she got of the couch laughing while walking towards the hall.
A bit later the girls sat in the car Brittany was looking outside, it was snowing a little. "I love the winter" the blonde said. Santana smiled at the blonde next to her "I love christmas, but don't tell anyone. I will deny it…". "I thought you were such a badass, but I guessing I was wrong" the blonde smirked. Santana just smiled and placed her hand on the blondes lap, driving in silence just enjoying eachothers company. "There you go Miss" Santana said after a while, parking her car on the side of the road next to the bar "I live there" she said while pointing at a huge building on the other side of the street. "I will go home for a few hours and I'll be back to pick you up okay?" Santana said. Brittany nodded at her previous sentence "Can I kiss you?" the blonde asked receiving a smirk from the latina. "Why do you ask Britt?" she almost whispered. "I don't know, since we're in public.." the blonde replied before getting kissed passionately on the lips, the two never shared such sweet and slow kissed before. "Woa.." was all Brittany said when after a while the brunette had pulled away. " You are never going to be my secret Britt" was all Santana said. Brittany sofly rubbed her thumb on the back of the latina's neck before pulling away "I can't wait for tonight" the blonde said while giving a small wink at Santana before unbuckling her seat belt and leaving the car. Santana gave Brittany a small wave when the blonde looked around at the latina before walking through the door.
Santana decided to leave her car there, it was just a few minutes walk anyway. This way she knew that later that night the car would have a spot near the door for Brittany get in after work. The latina was still wearing the bright red hoodie from Brittany's Cheerio Squat from highschool. She got out of the car, grabbing her backpack and jacket from the backseat and started to walk home. Looking around a few times to see if she might see Brittany. When she got home and there was no one in the kitchen, she sat down for a cup of tea while scrolling on her phone for a little Instagram scrolling before making herself some dinner. She figured Brittany would eat something during work or during a break? She was happy every roommate seemed too busy to be home this saturday night. During week nights the kitchen was usually packed around this hour. After she ate her salad she prepared she went to her bunk for a towel and headed the shower afterwards.
While washing her hair all the brunette could think of was the blonde in the bar now. She let her mind slip to last night, when the girls were really close too being intimate. Santana felt her body heat up of the memories. How Brittany had pinned her to the bed with her hands next to her head on the pillow. The brunette shivered, it felt amazing and she wished they would've gone further. But not if Brittany wasn't 200% in it. The brunette was seriously turned on by now, but she decided not to make her feelings for the girl just about sex. She didn't want to just get herself off now while thinking of the blonde. She had plenty of that the past year. After a long shower Santana stood infront of her closet starting. Wondering what she was going to wear tonight. She felt the need to impress the blonde, she changed outfits a few times before she was ready. She was totally falling in love with this girl. She was looking forward to tonight.
