Hello Ultras! And welcome to anyone who's new! This is chapter 40 of The Ultra 10 Chronicles! Sorry for the late upload, but my schedule has been busy. I am going to try really hard to get the next chapter out in a week, but it might just end up being two weeks before I upload the next chapter. I'm not loosing interest in the Chronicles, it's just the busyness of the summer.

A lot is happening this chapter, and it is picking up the pace! Just to let everyone know, I am updating the rating on Volume 2: A Hero Earth Needs to be rated M. This is for violence, as well as the amount of swearing. I'm not totally sure it needs to be changed, but I decided that I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Trigger warnings: There are three instances of choice language. The first one is in the paragraph that starts with, "That's good, Max replied." The second one is in the paragraph after the one that starts with, "All four of them shot a glance towards the window..." The last one is in the paragraph after the one that starts with, "Yeah, no kidding! Ben shouted."

There is a few graphic descriptions of injury in this chapter. It begins in the paragraph that starts with, "Max's helmet kicked in his respirator," and continues for a total of three paragraphs.

There is a soundtrack for this chapter. It is "It's My Life" by Bon Jovi. In addition to having the song stuck on and off in my head throughout the week, I felt that the song's lyrics and feeling well accompanied the fight the PLUMMERs are having against Vilgax, as well as Team Ultra's fight against the evil they encounter.

Enjoy the chapter!

The Ultra 10 Chronicles: Volume 2: A Hero Earth Needs

Chapter 40: Not a Moment to Breathe

Cooper's garage

A purple orb appeared in the middle of the room, and grew in size, expanding into a ring. Gwen and Ben stepped through the portal, emerging from the old bait-n-tackle shop. Expecting the rest of the team there, they were entirely unprepared for the scene that laid before them.

Cooper and Julie leaned over a worktable, with Ellie hovering nearby. On the table Maddisen was lain, and she was unmoving and unresponsive to Julie's frantic actions.

"What's going on here?" Gwen asked. Ben roughly made his way to one of the benches and dove into it. Gwen approached towards where the three teammates huddled. However, they seemed to be ignoring their entry.

"Cooper, I need you to extract an image of her femoral artery," Julie commanded. "I need to know the extent of the damage."

"On it," Cooper replied. His eyes glowed blue, as an image flickered to life on a computer screen which was hovering around them.

"Ellie, what's going on?" Gwen tried again. Ellie turned away from her cousin to look at Gwen, tears staining her eyes.

"It's Maddi," she stuttered through her tears. "Cooper brought her back like this…"

"Alex," Gwen put two and two together. "He must have attacked her before we got to him."

"It was his beasts," Cooper said, still staring off into space, his eyes glowing blue. "They attacked Maddi."

"Cooper, can your mech rebuild some of the artery wall?" Julie asked, oblivious to the world outside of Maddisen.

"If it's big enough, yeah," Cooper replied. "Where do you need it?"

"Right here," Julie pointed to a spot on the hovering screen. "And right here. The rest of the teeth missed the major arteries. Thankfully, it didn't sever any of the large branches, so it's a simple tissue replacement."

"I can do that," Cooper's eyes returned back to their normal color, and he quickly walked over to his cache of nano-mech, and began working on programming them for the job.

"How bad is it?" Ben asked, rising from his chair.

"It's bad," Julie said. "I don't know how the cut got infected so quickly, but there is a lot of necrotic tissue inside it. We're going to have to cut it out."

Alex Animal's Base

"You kids take a breather," Agent 10 said as he stepped into the low-hanging room. A little off-centered in the room was a large dent in the ground, which Max's PLUMMER helmet was telling had a lifeform inside it. Off to the side of it Lucky Girl was kneeling on the floor, leaning over the shape of a teenage kid.

Hearing his voice, Lucky Girl spun her head around, spotting Agent 10 standing there. He was quickly flanked by additional agents. "We'll take it from here," Max said. Lucky Girl smiled from beneath her mask, her green eyes and white teeth standing out from among the dull surroundings of the underground room she was in. Max got a flash of his grandkids in her features, both of them having the same color of distinctive green eyes. However, just as quickly as the thought surfaced, he forgot about it. It almost felt like something was suppressing it.

"Thanks," she said. She stood up and helped Ultra 10 to his feet. Max let go a sigh of relief to see that the kid was still alive and, for the most part at least, unhurt. There were only a few things he disliked about his job. But one of them was when he'd come across hurt or killed children. It was in his line of work, but he absolutely hated seeing it. Lucky Girl slung Ultra 10's arm over her neck and helped him walk towards the exit, leading out of the cavern.

"We should be thanking you two," Max relented. Several PLUMMER agents ran over to the crater, spotting Alex still lying in the middle of it. He was still groaning in pain. "It turns out that the whole plan failed miserably, and it's only because you took Alex on alone that we're able to lock him up."

"Where are you sending him?" Ultra 10 asked, sounding like it was more of a groan of pain.

"To a pocket dimension, called the Null Void," Max told the young hero. "It'll keep him out of trouble, at least for Earth." Ultra 10 nodded. They continued their way up and out of the cavern.

"Get that criminal up and locked up," Max commanded his team. Several agents picked Alex up by the arms and another handcuffed him with energy restraints. Behind Max, several agents brought a large machine into the room. Although complex and futuristic looking, it resembled a sort of a cannon.

"Power up the projector," Max commanded. An agent punched several buttons, the machine whirling to life as light and sounds were emitted from it.

"Wait, you can't just toss me through there!" Alex protested.

"You're too dangerous to leave on Earth," Max said. "You've left us no choice." Max nodded to the agents who were surrounding Alex. They nodded their acknowledgment, and pushed Alex towards a clearing in the room. The projector seemed to warm up, and began to spin really fast. An energy bolt was formed, which shot forward, opening a portal only about ten feet from where Alex was being held.

"No! You can't send me in there!" Alex protested. The two agents flanking him pushed him forward, closer to the portal. Alex fought with his strength, trying to avoid inching any closer to the portal.

"No! I-I have rights! I'm an American!" Alex protested.

"Push him through the portal," Max sighed. He absolutely hated this about the PLUMMERs.

"No! Stop! PLEASE! I'll change!" Alex protested as the agents pushed him towards the portal. His foot inched through the barrier, slipping on the loose dirt on the other side.

"The restraints will deactivate as soon as the portal is closed," Max sighed.

"You can't do this to me!" Alex shouted, almost halfway through the portal.

"You've left us no choice," Max said again.

"My computer! It's set to-" Alex's shout was cut off as the portal sealed up. It was oddly silent, as the Null Void projector turned off, spinning to a stop.

"What… do you think that was all about?" Agent 55 asked Max.

"Probably just trying to avoid getting sent to the Null Void," Max replied. Just as he did so, a machine in the far corner booted up, drawing the attention of the majority of the agents.

"SELF DESTRUCT SEQUENCE INITIATED," the computer announced in its inhuman voice. "THIRTY SECONDS TO SELF DESTRUCT."

"Does that answer your question?" Max shouted. "Get to the exit now!" The agents scrambled, trying to grab the projector and haul it out of the room.

"No time, leave it!" Max commanded. The agents readily complied, dropping the heavy machine where it was, and running for the exit. Max turned to run out of the cavern along with them. All the while, the computer counted down the seconds until destruction. Max was repeating every awful second in his head.

"TEN."

"NINE."

"EIGHT."

"SEVEN."

"SIX." Max was getting closer to the entrance tunnel.

"FIVE." Max could see the light shining from the closet up ahead.

"FOUR." Max burst through the closet, running through the old shop. There were only a couple of agents in front of him, most of the agents still trying to scramble their way out of the tunnel.

"THREE." The countdown rang out in Max's head. Tucking his head into his shoulders, he burst through the glass lining the storefront.

"TWO." Max looked back into the shop, seeing the agents scrambling out of the closet.

"ONE," Time ran out.

"GET DOWN!" Max shouted as he himself dropped to the ground. Immediately, there was a deafening sound, forcing everyone present to clutch at the sides of their heads. For a nanosecond, flames came bursting out of the tunnel before the blast ripped through the store, sending shredded splinters of whatever was in its path into the night sky. Hooks, netting, bait, counters, wood, metal, even a few agents who hadn't gotten far enough out from the tunnel. The explosive force was indiscriminate in who or what it sent into the air, some things absolutely obliterated, other things mostly intact.

Immediately, the debris began raining down again, littering the entire area with odds and ends of what was leftover. There was red mist in the air, as well as the smell of gore. And the smell of burning. There was a fire burning away the splinters of what used to be the bait-n-tackle shop. Concrete dust mingled heavily in the air with vaporized blood and smoke. Still, Max couldn't hear a thing, the ringing in his ears too loud to distinguish anything.

Max's helmet kicked in his respirator, providing him with filtered oxygen to breathe. However, his other sensors were on the fritz. The infrared scanner was glitching, and his thermal sensors were altogether useless after the explosion. He'd have to rely on his own sight. Max stood up slowly, cautious about a possible second explosion going off. The ringing in his ears was still deafening, although it was finally starting to subside.

Max caught a glimpse of another agent, and stumbled over to him. However, he was horrified to see that the entire backside of his suit had been burned away, leaving his skin burned and torn away from the shrapnel. His right hand also had been torn apart, barely anything left. The agent spotted Max and stumbled towards him. He tripped, falling onto his face. He tried to grasp at Max, but gave up, abandoning himself to his fate. Finally, the ringing subsided enough for Max to hear himself panting, both from stress as well as from shock.

"Team, report," Max commanded into his communicator. There was only static to answer him. "Team, do you copy? Does anyone copy?" Still, there was nothing but static. As the dust settled, Max caught the silhouette of another agent lying only a few paces away. But as Max stumbled towards him, he was horrified to see a splinter of steel imbedded through the agent's helmet. The woman had died instantly. Max felt sick in his stomach and leaned over, emptying his stomach on the ground. After regaining his breath, Max slipped his helmet back on.

"Is anyone there?" Max tried the communicator again. Still, he got nothing but static. Finally, he saw someone stumbling around. "Hey!" Max called out. However, the person didn't turn, or acknowledge him. They just continued stumbling around. Max took off his helmet, and shouted again.

"Hey, can you hear me?" Max shouted. This time, the figure seemed to hear him and turned around. Spotting him, the person stumbled their way through the rubble towards him.

"Max!" The agent gasped. "I thought… I thought I was the only one!"

"Calm yourself," Max commanded, not even caring that the agent had used his name instead of rank. "Are you hurt?"

"I-I don't think so," the agent responded. "I was pretty far out the door when the explosion happened."

"That's good," Max replied. "You can help me look for any other survivors. Just as soon as this damn dust settles, that is."

"It's bad," Julie said. "I don't know how the cut got infected so quickly, but there is a lot of necrotic tissue inside it. We're going to have to cut it out." All of a sudden, there was an enormous explosion that rocketed through the streets of Bellwood.

"What in the-" Julie started to shout in surprise.

All four of them shot a glance towards the window closest to where the sound had come from. In the sky above the city, there was smoke rising up from where they'd just taken down Alex.

"Damn, the psycho took out the entire block," Ben gasped. "That must have been his backup plan. Blow the entire area sky-freaking-high!"

"The PLUMMERs," Gwen gasped. "Do you think…"

"We've got to focus on one thing at a time," Cooper said. Julie looked back down at Maddi, who was still out cold.

"Cooper, didn't you invent the mech to fix your paralyzation?" Ben asked.

"Yeah, I did," Cooper replied.

"Wouldn't you be able to use your mech to repair the nerves in her legs?" Ben asked.

"It's not quite as simple as that," Cooper said. "I was young, and still had a lot to grow. My body still had changing to go through, so it could heal from a lot more. Maddi's already a teenager. Her body isn't going to be able to heal from quite as much."

"What does that mean?" Gwen asked.

"It just might be enough to let her walk again," Cooper said. "But if it is, it's going to be really painful. I can reestablish the connection, but I can't stop the pain signals from constantly being sent."

"This is a question she needs to be making," Ellie interrupted. "She gets to decide if she goes through with it or not." Julie nodded.

"Right now, I need help with removing the infected tissue," she said. "The rest of the decisions can wait until she's awake." Cooper nodded his agreement.

"Ben, you might want to go out and see what exactly what that explosion was," Cooper suggested. "At least as soon as you feel you can. There could be people hurt, or something." Ben stood up.

"You're right." He activated the Omnitrix. "It's probably late enough that GhostFreak would be of better use than Accelerate." He switched through the silhouettes until he came on the one he was looking for, and slapped down on the face plate. An explosion of green light revealed the form of GhostFreak.

"I'll let you know what I find," Ben's wispy voice said, before he phased through the ceiling of the garage. A short time later, Ben was flying as fast as this form could go towards the explosion. During the day, this alien was somewhat limited in what he could do. However, he was entirely free at night. As soon as the sun went down, he could fly by at incredible speeds, or do all sorts of other ghostly powers.

Ben came upon the scene of the explosion in a short time, and he started to use his audio "sight" to look for anything unusual or alive.

"Cooper," Ben spoke into his communicator. "I haven't seen anyone yet, it's pretty ghastly. And that's coming from GhostFreak too. Whatever the explosion, it was pretty big."

"There isn't much that can set off that kind of an explosion," Cooper said from the communicator. "It's got to have been aided by other detonations all around the area."

"I guess that was Alex's back-up plan," Ben said. "If he couldn't kill me, he'd keep me there long enough to kill me with the explosions."

"That's a theory," Gwen said through the comm link. "But we won't know for sure."

"Are there any PLUMMERs that got out safely?" Ellie asked.

"I haven't found any yet," Ben admitted. "There's a lot of rubble strewn everywhere, which is making looking for them even harder."

"Hopefully that means that they've already been packing up out of there," Julie suggested.

"I don't think so," Cooper interjected. "They'd probably try to lock down the part of the city until they can be sure to have the situation under control."

"So that would mean…" Gwen started.

"Possible," Ben said. "They wear that body armor, so they could probably take a pretty strong blast and be fine. They're probably around here somewhere." Ben continued to listen as he searched through the rubble. Finally, he heard movement up ahead.

"I found something," he exclaimed as he flew over. One movement turned into the stumbling around of several PLUMMER agents, who were trying to lift a slab of concrete off of another agent.

"I can help with that," Ben said as he changed directly into the form of FourArms. With a grunt, he lifted up the concrete, the several agents pulling the bloodied body of an agent out.

"Thanks, Ultra 10," one of them said.

"Is he going to be alright?" Ben asked. The agent nodded.

"We'll get him back to our headquarters. He'll be alright," the agent said. There were about eight or so agents now all together. The dust had mostly settled, but there were still fires here and there, which were putting up thick, black smoke into the sky. Ben heard something pass by overhead, causing him to look up into the sky. Although his sight was choked with the black smoke, he saw some lights passing over. The movement of such a massive object in the sky sent microbursts that swirled the rising smoke, and rustled the branches of the trees.

"Max! What is happening?" One of the agents shouted.

"Max?" Ben whispered to himself, the name distracting him from whatever was in the sky. He looked over towards the agents, and toward Agent 10.

"I don't know what's happening," Agent 10 replied. "But whatever it is, we've got to get back to headquarters now! If this is who I think it might be, we're going to need to run an all-out defensive array!" Ben stared at the agent in disbelief.

"Grandpa?" Ben whispered, staring at the older man in the PLUMMER uniform.

"What transports do we still have operational?" Agent 10 demanded.

"They were too close to the shop, and were caught up in the explosion," one agent stuttered. "I doubt any of them would be functional."

"Search them for a communicator," Agent 10 commanded. "We'll need to call for a pick-up to get these wounded back to base. And unless your helmet comms are intact, that's the best thing we've got!"

"That voice," Ben thought. "It's just like what I heard him talk like in the hospital!"

"That's my grandpa, I know it," Ben muttered. He took a step forward to confront his grandfather. However, just as he did so, a booming voice filled the air, being projected from the spaceship overhead.

"PUNY EARTHLINGS! I AM VILGAX THE CONQUERER OF TEN WORLDS, THE DESPOT OF VILGAXIA! I HAVE COME TO YOUR WRETCHED PLANET, NOT TO ANNIHILATE IT, BUT TO RIGHT A WRONG DONE TO ME! I DEMAND THAT THE CRIMINAL ULTRA 10 TO BE BROUGHT TO ME! DO THIS, AND I WILL SPARE YOUR MISERABLE PLANET! RESIST ME, AND YOU WILL FEEL MY WRATH, AND WITNESS THE ENTIRE DECIMATION OF YOUR SPECIES!"

The sound of Vilgax's voice over the speakers sent a chill down Ben's spine. Realization dawned on him as Ben looked up at the massive object that was now revealed to be Vilgax's ship. The fires were just about all burned out, or blown out from the wind, and Ben could see clearly the underside of Vilgax's Chimerian Hammer ship, the Spirit-Breaker. Immediately, dozens of drones started to swarm out of hatches all around the ship. The drones shot towards the Earth, either to look for Ben or to enforce Vilgax's will, Ben had no idea. But either way, it was bad news.

"Team!" Ben shouted through his comm link. "Are you seeing what is happening?"

"How could we not?" Cooper's shout came back. "Those speakers were loud enough to be heard all throughout the city! Sound's like Vilgax has it out for you!"

"Yeah, no kidding!" Ben shouted. "Sounds like he's ready for round two!"

"How the hell did he escape the Null Void?" Gwen shouted. "If he escaped, other criminals could escape as well!"

"Not the priority right now," Julie replied. "Ben, get back here, and help us get Maddi somewhere safe! Then we've got to hide you!"

"Got it!" Ben shouted. He activated his Omnitrix. "GhostFreak!" He shouted as he took off into the night sky, flying towards Cooper's garage. He landed and detransformed, just as the garage door opened up. The four teammates were carrying the worktable out with Maddisen still lying on top of it.

"It's just me he's looking for, right?" Ben asked as he ran up to them.

"Yes, but all of us were involved in taking him down," Julie said. "So it's probably not safe for any of us to be out. We're links to finding you."

"Good point," Ben said as he activated the Omnitrix again, transforming into FourArms. He carefully picked up the worktable in all four of his arms. "So where are we going?"

"We need somewhere off the grid," Cooper said. "Somewhere where Vilgax won't be able to find us."

"Right now, Maddi needs to be taken to my apartment," Julie said. "I've got some supplies that will help her recover. I can stay with her until she recovers, and Cooper can keep us safe. But the rest of you should go underground." Ben nodded.

"To your apartment it is, then," he said. He took off down the street, heading towards Julie's apartment. "I'm kind of prone with Maddisen here!"

"I'm on it," Gwen said.

"So am I," Cooper said. He pulled out his suit and transformed into Morph.

"Ellie, you're with me in my car," Julie said. "We'll go ahead and get the apartment ready for Maddi." Ellie nodded, and climbed into Julie's car.

Not far from Wally's Grocery Store

"Alright, men!" Max shouted. "One transport is functioning, and we're giving priority to the wounded. We'll have to come back for the dead. Headquarters is not responding on the radio, so there's no telling when reinforcements are going to arrive." He looked around at the bedraggled group of PLUMMERs.

"Until we get orders from up top, your job is to hamper Vilgax's invasion as much as possible. Find your weapons and use them. Use anything that you can find. Take out those drones. We're going to buy as much time for headquarters to deploy the defensive array as possible!" Max looked at his agents. "Agent 12 is going to lead the transport back to command. I'm staying here and doing some damage to that old squid!" The able-bodied agents cheered and began searching through the rubble for the weapons, or bricks or anything else they could use.

"Max," Agent 12 said. "You're higher ranked than I am, you should be heading back to command first."

"Phil," Max called the PLUMMER by his name. The act of him breaking from his habit definitely got his old friend's attention. "That is why I am staying here. I need to rally these agents to do as much damage to Vilgax's forces. I can't retreat back. If I went, that's all they'd see, and we'd have even less chance of stopping him. You've got to go in my place."

"I understand," Phil sighed.

"Do me a favor, though?" Max asked, resting his hand on Phil's shoulder.

"Anything," Phil responded.

"Get back out here as soon as you can. With any luck, there might still be a few of us alive to bring back."

"I'll be back for you as soon as absolutely possible," Phil responded without a moment's hesitation.

"Then go!" Max commanded his previous partner. "Get those agents to Headquarters, let them know the situation, and get back out here!" Phil saluted and hobbled off towards the transport van, trying his best to run on his messed-up ankle. The doors closed, and the van sped off, swerving around any rubble that was too big to go over. Max looked around, finding a pole of twisted metal.

"This will have to do, for now," Max said, using the suit's exo-skeleton to rip it out of the concrete chunk it was imbedded in. "Come on, men! Let's show Vilgax what we're made of!"

Ben felt odd, ignoring several drones as he ran past them with Ellie's worktable in his arms. He didn't have a moment to spare, and he was trusting in his teammates, who did not disappoint. One of the drones he'd just past exploded into flames, as Gwen's outstretched hand still had a jet of fire coming out of it.

In front of him, Morph was clearing a pathway, using his energy cannons to blast his way through any drones ahead of them. Glancing up, Ben saw scores of more drones shooting out of the alien's ship. It didn't seem like they were putting a dent into Vilgax's forces. He had hundreds, if not thousands of drones.

"Lucky Girl!" Ben called behind him. "Keep up!"

"Got it!" Gwen's reply came.

"Almost to the apartment," Cooper called out from in front of him. It was only another minute or so before FourArms jogged up to the apartment. Cooper walked inside, still in his suit, and Ben tenderly picked Maddi up off of the table, and handed her to Cooper, who took her with care and laid her on Julie's kitchen table. Julie and Ellie were inside, and Julie immediately started digging through her first-aid kit for supplies.

"You'd better scram," Cooper told Ben. "The farther you get from here, the better." Ben nodded. He palmed his badge, detransforming back into his human form.

"Gwen, you ready?" He asked, looking at his cousin. She nodded. Ben took off his mask, feeling his suit fold up into its cargo mode, which Ben slipped into his pocket.

"Onscuro!" She chanted, her Lucky Girl suit fading into her street clothes.

"Don't go back home," Cooper said. "At least not right now. We don't know how much Vilgax knows about us, but he was able to find out where Julie lived. It may become safe enough for you to go home, but for the time being, don't risk it." Julie nodded in agreement.

"Ellie's probably the one least at risk. She'll act as a liaison. If you need something from your house, she'll get it for you," Julie said. Ellie nodded her agreement.

"Lie low, and stay on the move," Cooper said. "Don't get into a fight, it'll only attract attention…" The group of them silenced as they heard a drone march by the apartment.

"You'd better head out now," Cooper continued. "Keep your comm links on. That's how we'll keep in touch." Ben nodded. He took Gwen by the hand and the two of them ran out of the apartment.

A/N:

That's it for the chapter. Yeah, the chapter title said it! They aren't getting even a second to catch their breath! Vilgax was waiting for just the right moment, and he could tell from the radio chatter that the PLUMMERs were both scattered and weak. And the explosion was the final domino. He is launching an all-out invasion of Earth to find Ben, and to exact his revenge. Any idea how the PLUMMER Headquarters is going to react to Vilgax's attack? How about Team Ultra? Any other comments, critiques, or ideas? Leave them in a review, and don't forget to follow and favorite the story! Have an awesome day! Thanks for reading!

Review Responses:

debaruncy12: Another cool chapter. The whole fight was awesome. But Alex scanning and turning into aliens did not really make sense, unless he has an Albedo-like sponsor. And did Ben actually turn into vamp-Accelerate by just willing it? Dude that's like...like really OP. And another query, how in Merlin's name did Alex import mountain lions and wolves in an urban city? Anyways, a great chapter, hoping Ben gets Master Control soon and beats this new villain easily. Kudos! PS: I prefer Debarun as you asked earlier.

Thanks for the review, Debarun! I'm glad you enjoyed the fight! To answer some of your questions, I'll have to explain some of the world making. The alien that gave Alex his powers, Keldth B'tha, was a member of the Prositic-D'rn species. They are the species that gave Azmuth the idea to create the Omnitrix. The species can mimic the physical attributes of other species they come into contact with. In addition, they communicate telepathically, as they don't have a natural mouth or vocal cords. These abilities Keldth gave to Alex when he died.

The DNA scanner Alex had was masterminded by Animo as a weapon to use against Ben. Before separating, Alex stole the plans from Animo, and set up his base, building the scanner from Animo's plans. It in essence extracts samples of DNA and presents it to Alex to absorb. However, when Alex's DNA was scanned along with Accelerate's, his ability to change forms was also scanned. The Omnitrix, coming across the Prositic-D'rn DNA for the first time scanned it, and absorbed some of it. That is why the mashed-up forms. However, it wore off rather quickly, and Ben lost the ability.

As for Alex getting his animals, he can communicate telepathically with them, and if they are smart enough, he can get them to follow orders. Also, the section of town that his base is in is burned out, and pretty much abandoned. So there wasn't cars, pedestrians, or really anything other than Alex to distract or notice the animals. It was just a matter of Alex finding the animals, and then telling them what to do. It's a bit of a stretch, and I probably could have written it better, but that's the idea I had.

Signed2TheHeat: Mmmhmm... Final fight with the dude delivered, but I got a feeling we're gonna be seeing him pop back up
some time in the future, maybe under different circumstances. (Got some thinking 2 do.) The man can't catch a break, lol!

What's up, man! Yeah, if you thought he was over his head this last chapter, then he's kind of blown away this chapter! However, Cooper's paranoia is finally coming in handy, as he kinda just jumped into action. Glad you enjoyed it!

Amanny: Amazing chapter! I'm glad that Alex has finally been defeated and got the beating he deserved. I believe that Alex will come back for revenge. I mean when has any enemy from Ben 10 ever give up on trying to kill him? As for the next villain, well you can surprise me.

Thanks for the review, Amanny! Yes, Alex avoided death at Ben's hands, but how seriously is he going to take the threat in the future? At least for the time being, he's out of the picture! Here's a tease, the new villain? It's not Vilgax. The new villain shows up after, or maybe during, the Vilgax arc. Glad you enjoyed the chapter!

uchihaNaruto247: Jeez, I'm glad Alex is taken down. I think the next villain is Vilgax, he was around the corner before we got Alex, I'm sure he'll make his official debut against the team soon. That PLUMMER Lynn got it the worst, she got mauled like crazy, especially when Tiger Alex just teared her face apart with his claws, and she survives? Yeah I hope the PLUMMERs have advanced enough tech for them to fix her face...or everything actually.

Thanks for the review, Uchiha! Yes, the next villain is Vilgax, but he's not the new villain soon to be revealed. Yeah, Lynn got it pretty bad, and it's going to leave her scarred. What Cooper said about Maddi is taken to the next step with Lynn. She's an adult, and her body's ability to heal is limited even more than Maddi's. However, yes, the PLUMMERs do have much better tech than Julie working out of her apartment or Cooper's garage, so she's going to be able to recover somewhat better.

yraj2004: Thank you! As for Mr. Wyatt, if he made the reboot (idk for sure) then he DOES need to learn from you.

Thank you for the compliment! As far as I can tell, Derrick Wyatt wasn't involved in the reboot, which is a shame as I'm sure he'd have helped it to be much better than it was. Still, I appreciate the love for the story! I'm glad you're enjoying it so much!
