Welcome back, Ultras to the next chapter of The Ultra 10 Chronicles! At last, there is a little more of Ben and Gwen in this chapter. They haven't been forgotten about, but they both are actively trying to avoid confronting their feelings for each other. That, coupled with all the craziness that's been happening in the story, and there just hasn't been much of it lately. But rest assured, there is a little bit this chapter!

Also, there is the first use of my first original alien for these Chronicles, an alien known as TailWhip. Kind of tooting my own horn here, (Toot! Toot!) but I think that he's pretty cool.

Trigger warnings: There are multiple instances of choice language this chapter. The first case is in the paragraph following the one that says, "BigChill! Ben shouted..." There is also another instance in the paragraph immediatly following.

The next instance is in the paragraph that follows, "She was all alone in the cell..." The next case of choice language is in the paragraph following, "Yeah, not my type..." The next one is in the paragraph after the one which reads, "Thompson isn't going anywhere..." The last two instances is in the paragraph which starts with, "You were supposed to be..."

I didn't really have a soundtrack planned out for this chapter. Perhaps there's one of you readers would like to suggest? That's all I got for up here.

Enjoy the chapter!

The Ultra 10 Chronicles: Volume 2: A Hero Earth Needs

Chapter 52: Breaking In to Break Out (Part 2)

Ellie's cabin, outside of Bellwood, the next afternoon

"Yes! Finally!" Cooper shouted as he stood up from the workbench he'd been leaning over for the last several hours.

"What is it?" Julie asked, running over to him.

"I just finished designing the NanoMech Mach III," Cooper explained. "This stuff is going to be a major improvement to our armor."

"So what does it do?" Julie asked. Cooper's eyes glowed blue as the black mech as fine as dust swirled into the air in front of him.

"Its structural formations have been completely recoded, meaning that I can form them into almost any design," Cooper explained. "They can imitate wood, steel, stone, even skin or bone!" As he talked, the NanoMech morphed into the various materials. "It's not a complete replacement for them yet, but it'll stop a bleeding, and facilitate a quicker recovery to a wound."

"That's seriously impressive," Julie congratulated him. "How much of it do you have?"

"Right now? Just what you see in front of you," Cooper's eyes went back to their normal shade, and the NanoMech fell back onto the table. "It's going to take me some time recycling out the old NanoMech for the new, but I think that this will let Maddi walk again without the pain!"

"That's great!" Julie congratulated. But just as they were celebrating, an alarm on the security grid went off, startling them both. "What's that?"

"I don't know yet," Cooper said, forgetting all about his NanoMech and rushing over to the laptop that the alarm was blaring from. He quickly accessed the grid. "Looks like its the proximity sensor. Something big is coming our way!"

"I'll go get-" Julie started to say before she was cut off by an explosion that ripped a section of the wall open. Burning wood splinters flew in every which way as dust mingled with smoke filled the air. In the newly-created entrance stood several Vilgaxian drones.

"He's found us," Cooper shouted. His eyes glowed blue as Morph flew towards him, encasing his body in his battle armor. In little more than a few seconds, Cooper was armored up and charging up his arm cannons.

"I'll draw their fire," Cooper shouted to Julie. "Get Maddi out of here!"

"Already on it!" Julie shouted back as she ran up the stairs towards where Maddi had been.

"You want a piece of this?" Cooper shouted as he fired several laser blasts at the drones' heads. It seemed to get their attention as he immediately dodged to avoid a laser blast shot his way. Out of the corner of his eye, Cooper saw a Black-and-white clad figure erupt in a flash of green.

"BigChill!" Ben shouted as he appeared as the alien moth.

"How the hell did they find us?" Ben shouted as he flew at one of the drones, phasing through it. In his wake, large ice crystals formed over the shell of the drone.

"How the hell am I supposed to know?" Cooper shouted back, the stress of dodging another laser blast clearly on his mind. "It's your watch he tracks!"

"Well I haven't been using it!" Ben shouted back as he blasted his drone with his icy breath. He was caught off guard by the third drone swatting him with its hand.

"Fulmen!" Gwen shouted as a massive lightning bold crackled out of the cloudless sky, striking the drone that had just swatted Ben. Smoke billowed out of its charred black armor from where the lightning bolt had struck.

"We have to draw them away from the cabin," Gwen said in between gasps. "Levitatum!" Her body glowed purple as she rose into the air. Like a bullet, she zipped in between the drones, out into the woods outside. Cooper activated his own jetpack, following Gwen's path as he fired at the drones.

"Ben, you coming?" He asked through the comm link.

"Yeah, I'm just behind you," he replied. Cooper heard the large, lumbering machines following them.

"Julie, it sounds like they're leaving the cabin," Cooper spoke.

"Thanks," Julie replied. "I've got Maddi. We'll find a place to lie low until you guys finish them off."

"It won't take us long," Cooper replied. He saw Lucky Girl stop in a small clearing of trees, like a meadow. He quickly zoomed into the meadow himself, turning around to see BigChill enter last.

"Get ready, here they come," Ben said, his comm link relaying the message in all of their ears. The first of the drones stepped one of its three legs out of the tree line and into the meadow.

"Kavistr!" Gwen shouted. The tree immediately to the left of the drone bent down, hitting the drone like a baseball bat. The drone didn't budge hardly at all, although it had a line of dented armor where its waist would normally be.

"You're going to have to hit it harder than that," Ben shouted as he reached up and hit his Omnitrix, vanishing in a green flash of light. "TailWhip!" The alien he emerged as was one that Cooper hadn't seen yet. It looked somewhat like a large scorpion, with its insectoid body being covered in a chitinous shell. He had two large claws, like crab claws, but tipped with three, rather than two pincers. The tail curved over its body in the distinctive scorpion way, but was ended with a large metallic blade.

The creature scurried forward on its eight tiny legs at a deceivingly-fast speed. The drone tried to blast him with a laser blast, which he dodged, moving even closer to the drone. When he was only a couple of feet away, Cooper and Gwen heard a loud crack as the alien's scorpion tail delivered a whack to the drone's chest plate, the blade on Ben's tail tearing it open like a can opener. Another couple of cracks of his tail revealed several more deep cuts in the drone's exterior.

"Petra anima!" Gwen shouted as she threw several pebbles at the two other drones, which were also coming through the tree line. The pebbles grew as they changed, looking more and more like animals. Within a short amount of time, the three golems had grown to their full size of around five feet tall. The three creatures rushed at one of the drones, which swatted away one of them, before being attacked by the other two.

Off to the side, Cooper had started battling the third drone, flying around with his jetpack and firing lasers into the drone's exposed neck, before blasting away to avoid a beam of laser fire. His helmet was blaring an alarm at him, reminding him that the energy store for the jetpack was quickly running out, which would mean that he would be grounded.

"My lasers aren't having much of an impact against their armor," Cooper admitted, breaking hard to the left to avoid a metallic swipe from the drone's fist.

"Find a weakness," Ben shouted. His alien form had crawled its way onto his drone, using its pincer-like claws to peel away at the opening his tail had made. Exposing the wiring underneath, he jammed one of his claws inside. Giving it a hard yank, he pulled out a claw-full of fizzling wires.

"Terra bombarda!" Gwen shouted. All around her, purple-covered boulders emerged from the ground and flung themselves at Cooper's drone. The impact threw the drone to the ground, where the boulders started pummeling into again and again. Gwen's drone wasn't faring any better, as the three golems smashed and tore at it. Its armor was starting to get very dented, even starting to break off in pieces.

Ben's drone finally stopped moving, standing frozen. Then it started to lean, then tip as it fell to the ground with a large thud. Ben jumped off of the machine just before being squished underneath it.

Gwen's drone fizzed and popped as its chest caved in. Cooper's drone did the same, the head exploding from a strike from the boulders. Finally, with all three drones out of commission, the magical boulders fell to the ground, becoming stationary again. Gwen's golems shrunk down, back to their normal pebbles, which Gwen picked up and placed in her pouch behind her purple sash.

"I think that's the last of them," Gwen sighed, sitting down in the grass to catch her breath. "That was pretty intense." Cooper's NanoMech armor melted off of him, revealing him underneath it all.

"Sorry, I was kind of useless in the fight," he apologized. Ben came scurrying over to stand beside him, before he was engulfed in a red light.

"Well we were trying to get them away from the cabin. And we did that, so I say it was a success," Ben comforted him.

"But how did they find us?" Cooper asked. "Have you used your watch?" Ben shook his head.

"Not until just now," he said. "Haven't touched the Omnitrix in over a week."

"It could have just been a coincidence," Gwen suggested. "If they are still looking for you, then they could have just come across the cabin."

"And just tear into a random cabin?" Ben asked.

"It makes sense that they'd come prepared for a fight," Cooper chimed in. "With as much tech as we've got hooked up to that cabin. Or had hooked up to it. I don't think that much survived." He said the last bit with a great deal of bitter in his voice.

"We still have whatever is in your garage," Gwen tried to cheer him up. "And who knows how much is still functional in the cabin." Cooper nodded to that. "I guess that I'll go take a look. Any way we look at it, though, those drones surely sent that video feed back to Vilgax's ship. They'll be swarming all around here in no time."

"Then it's back to undercover," Ben grumbled. "If you're headed back to the cabin, you'd better make it quick." Cooper nodded. His eyes glowed pale blue for a second, before returning to their normal color.

"My suit's got some recharging before it's ready for flight again. I'd better get going." With that, Cooper jogged off in the direction of the cabin.

"So, where are we headed?" Gwen asked her cousin.

"Back to the city," Ben answered. "I think that we'll blend in better with people, then we would out in the woods all alone." The two fourteen-year-olds started walking back towards the city.

"Could you at least have packed a coat?" Gwen complained. "It's cold!"

"Sorry, I didn't plan ahead," Ben joked back. "But aren't you the one with the magic?"

"If I could cast a spell without falling asleep, believe me, I would!" Gwen shot back. The two shivered as they walked through the forest.

"So what the heck kind of alien was that you turned into?" Gwen asked.

"I don't know, that was the first time I tried him," Ben replied.

"So… TailWhip?"

"Well, he has a tail," Ben replied back. "I didn't have any time to come up with a better name, alright?"

"So why do you name them anyway?" Gwen asked. "After all, you're still you."

"It strikes fear into the hearts of my enemies!" Ben said.

"We were fighting giant robotic drones," Gwen replied, matter-of-factly. "And beside, they're not that scary of names."

"Yeah? Well…" Ben trailed off. "If I wanted your opinion, I'd have asked for it!" They walked in silence for almost a minute after that.

"You really don't think they're scary?" Ben broke the silence.

"Scarier than your normal pizza-face?" Gwen teased him. "Not really."

"Hey! I haven't had pizza stuck on my face since that time when we were in kindergarten!" Ben protested.

"And the image still haunts me," Gwen laughed. Ben even joined in at the laugh at his expense. After a moment, the laugher died down, and they continued walking towards town. Gwen felt eyes on her, so she looked at Ben, wondering what was the problem. Ben quickly glanced down, trying to avoid eye contact.

"No! Stop it!" He whispered.

"Stop what?" Gwen asked, confused.

"N-Nothing," Ben answered, sounding flustered. "I just can't wait to get out of the cold." Almost as an answer to his wish, the Omnitrix beeped, signaling that it had finally recharged. "Yes!" He pressed the button on the side, and slammed down the dial.

"Accelerate!" Ben shouted as he emerged from the blinding light as the speed-lizard.

"Who's the enemy now?" Gwen asked teasingly. "I hope it's not me?"

"Nope, you're Dweeb number one!" Ben hissed out in Accelerate's serpentine voice.

"Good, 'cuz I defiantly wasn't frightened," she continued to mock him. Ben picked her up in his arms and slung her around his back.

"Of course," he whispered to himself.

"Hold on," he said to her. "Wouldn't want a dweeb flying off into a tree or something." Gwen Barely had time to lock her arms around his neck before he sped off, the cold air whipping around him forcing Gwen to bury her face into his shoulder. Secretly, Gwen didn't mind it at all.

"Stop thinking like that!" She commanded herself.

Max's group home base

"Alright everyone, load up!" Max shouted. "Everyone that's a Trojan, get inside the van. Everyone else, you know where you're supposed to be!" Several people in PLUMMER suits got into the cab of the PLUMMER transport van, while several more crammed into the cargo hold of the van.

"We're moving into position, Max," Wes spoke through his communicator. "My team already has eyes on the entrance."

"Stay in view, and stay hidden," Max replied. "If something goes wrong, it's your team that's first in to pull us out of there."

"They know the plan," Wes reassured him. Max watched the transport vehicle pull out of the warehouse.

"Van is on the move," Max confirmed.

Inside the PLUMMER van

"Are you nervous?" Ellie whispered.

"A little, yeah," Sam replied. "But let's hope that all goes according to plan."

"Right," Ellie answered, more to reassure herself than to reassure Sam. "Once the van is in the armory, we exit, and book it to the doors." The van hit a bump in the road, which served to quiet their chatter.

"You kids have already done a lot," Jack whispered. "This is going to be a piece of cake." He was sitting on the bench opposite of Ellie.

"We're almost there," Sarah spoke from the driver's seat. Then, into her comm link. "Max, we're pulling up now." She pulled the van to a stop in front of the tire store that served as the front business entrance to the PLUMMER headquarters.

"Where are you guys coming from?" The PLUMMER agent asked them.

"We were out on patrol," Sarah lied to him. "Just returning for a debrief."

"Your van isn't showing up on the register," the agent replied.

"It took a rough beating on the road," Sarah said. "Our communications console got banged up pretty bad. Comm Links have been out for a while. Probably damaged the tracking beacon too."

"I'm still going to have to check it out," the agent said.

"Go right ahead," Sarah replied. "I'll wait for you to finish." The agent nodded and walked around towards the back of the van. Ellie could hear every step he took. Jack gripped his canister blaster, checking to make sure the power dial was adjusted correctly. Suddenly, the door opened up.

"Surprise," Jack said as he pulled the trigger on his blaster. The blaster made a slight buzz sound as it shot the energy wave at the agent. He was caught completely by surprise, dropping his weapon as his arms went slack, and he fell backward onto the pavement, completely unconscious. He was out without so much as a word. Jack, as well as the other soldier in their van got out and lifted the unconscious agent into the van.

"So far, so good," Jack muttered as he lifted the agent's PLUMMER badge off of him. "And I'll be sure to put this to good use." He reached into the van and pulled out a microphone.

"You guys… check… out," Jack played back the spliced clips from the unconscious agent into the his comm link. Handing the badge over, he climbed back into the van, leaving the other soldier to close the door to the van.

"Good luck!" He said as Sarah pulled the van through the bay door, and into PLUMMER headquarters.

"We're in," Sarah spoke into her communicator as they drove down the runway towards the hangar that held the fleet of PLUMMER vehicles. Everything from space-worthy fighters and atmospheric gliders, to tanks and transport vans. Sarah was inwardly glad to see that none of the fighters were operational, as every single one was being disassembled and pulled apart to try to root out Josie's virus.

"Jack, Josie is probably still being held in the detention hold," Sarah said as she pulled the van into one of the open stalls. "I'm on my way to the cafeteria to skip debrief, so it's up to you and the two kids to get to her, as well as open up the doors."

"I'm fourteen," Ellie complained in a hushed tone. "We're not kids."

"Whatever," Sarah hissed. "You know what I meant!" She turned off the van and got out. "Good luck!" With that, she walked as nonchalantly as she could towards the cafeteria.

"You two follow the hangar back towards the front doors," Jack instructed them. "It's just about a straight shot the entire way. As soon as they're opened…"

"Wes's team will follow us back in," Sam cut him off. "We've gone over it a dozen times already!"

"Then try not to mess it up," Jack replied. He carefully opened up the door, peeking his head out to look around. "Looks like the coast is clear." He stepped out, allowing Ellie and Sam to emerge too.

"The front doors are that way," Jack said, pointing in the direction that they entered the base.

"Yeah, the way we came in," Sam replied. "Don't mess it up, we got it!"

"Sheesh," Jack muttered. "And that is why I stopped at only one kid." With that, he did his best to look natural as he made his way towards the detention block. The two teenagers waited a moment for Jack to distance himself before they headed towards the entrance, trying their best to keep to the walls.

"We're almost done here," Ellie reminded Sam. "As soon as we open those doors, we can suit up and quit all of this sneaking business."

"Don't speak too soon," Sam warned her. "Things tend to happen." They heard several agents heading down a side hallway toward the hangar. Both teens just about lost their cool, as they took cover behind several weapons crates that had been left. Ellie held her breath, not daring to even breath as she listened to the three agents chatter as they walked into the hangar, and past the duo.

"Let's keep going," Sam suggested after what felt like forever. "I think that they're far enough away." Ellie nodded, finally allowing herself to suck in a breath of fresh air. They continued their way until they made the front gate that led to the tire store.

"Do you have the badge?" Ellie asked Sam, who nodded.

"Yeah, right here," he said as he pressed the badge up to the scanner. After a moment, the scanner buzzed at him before unlocking the door. Automatically, gate opened up, offering them a clear view into the back of the tire store's garage. Upon seeing them, the soldier they'd left out front opened up the bay door, offering a clear shot into the base.

"That's it, let's move!" Wes's voice came over the comm link that Max had left for Ellie to use. Suddenly, almost two dozen soldiers came out of the building across the street from the tire store, booking it into the garage.

"Well done, kid," Wes said as his team moved past the two.

"Teenagers," Ellie grumbled as she and Sam followed the soldiers.

"Time to make some noise?" Sam asked her.

"You betcha!" she said as he pulled out her NanoMech suit.

Elsewhere in PLUMMER Headquarters

"Detention hold, detention hold, detention hold," Jack whispered to himself as he quickly walked down the hallway. "There you are!" He approached the door, pressing his badge up to the scanner. After a moment, it beeped, allowing him to enter the prison.

"You there!" A gruff voice shouted after him. "What are you doing there?" Jack turned around to see two agents standing only a few feet behind him.

"I was just doing a routine maintenance check down here," Jack tried to lie. "Making sure that it's still top notch to keep resourceful prisoners inside." The two agents walked closer, prompting Jack to turn back around to face them.

"You don't look like maintenance," the second agent said. "Where's your badge?"

"I had it right here," Jack extended one hand into the air, as if to show off his PLUMMER badge for all the world to see. "But it's not there anymore. Perhaps it's right here." Jack raised his other hand up, mimicking his other hand. The two agents watched it, clearly unimpressed, but looking for some sort of a trick.

"Oh, I remember!" Jack exclaimed. "It's right here!" With that, he clapped his two hands together, shoving the two agents' heads together, knocking them out cold.

"Time is running out," Jack spoke into his communicator as he entered the prison. Across the room, he saw the cell that was holding Josie. The image just about made him sick.

She was all alone in the cell, her arms bound to the wall with energy cuffs. Her face was cut and bruised, with burn marks all over her face. She had both fresh and dried blood caking her face and hands, as well as spots of blood staining her clothes, which had multiple holes burned through them.

"What the hell has Alpha done to you?" Jack whispered as he quickly make his way to the cell. He tried to unlock the cell, but the electronic lock wouldn't take his passcode.

"Come on, think!" He muttered to himself. Inside her cell, Josie was starting to come to, obviously very weak from her time inside the cell. Jack heard mumbling behind him, which caused him to turn around. One agent was starting to come too.

Jack ran at the guy kicking, catching the agent's chin on the tip of his foot and sending him sprawling onto his back, again unconscious. The second agent started to move too. Jack wasted no time as he punched him hard in the face. His head bounced on the concrete with a painful thump, before he was out cold as well.

Jack looked at the canister blasters that the two agents had been holding before dropping when they were knocked out the first time.

"That might work," Jack muttered as he picked up one of the canister blaster. "Max, how long until your team are inside?" He asked into his communicator.

"Wes is already inside," Max responded. "I'm just heading in now."

"I'm going to need some firepower here at the detention cell," Jack said nonchalantly. "The sooner, the better. These guys are going to be swarming me." Jack twisted the cylinder on the back of the canister blaster and pressed it down. The gun started making a beeping noise, like a countdown. Jack quickly jammed the gun into a nook beside the cell lock and took some cover. The countdown intensified until the canister exploded, blowing a hole in the side of the cell lock, and deactivating the door.

"I could… have told… you…" Josie weakly said as she dropped to the floor of the cell.

"Yeah, not my type," Jack said as he walked into the cell and picked Josie up. "You're the brain, and I'm the brawn." He swung her arm over his shoulder, and the two made their way towards the exit. After scanning his badge to open the door, he helped her down the hallway when he ran into someone he hadn't expected to see.

"Bree! Damn it, it's you!" Jack shouted in surprise and relief. "We're breaking Josie out!" Jack took a few steps towards her, but was confused when she didn't move.

"Come on, Bree, help me with Josie," Jack tried again.

"Thompson isn't going anywhere," Bree said coldly. "She stays in PLUMMER custody."

"What the shit, Bree?" Jack asked, confused. "Come on, help me get her out of here!" He took another step forward, only for Bree to draw he pistol on him.

"You can go, but Thompson stays," Bree said again coldly. "I suggest that you take the offer."

"What's gotten into you, Bree?" Jack shouted at her.

"It's Agent 10," she replied. "And I am fulfilling my assignment. Now drop Thompson, before you join her in that cell."

"Alright, you can stop the act. I need to get her out of here, and I never saw you here!" Jack tried to take a step forward, only for Bree to fire her pistol. Jack cried out in pain as the laser bolt burned into his knee.

"Thompson is staying," Bree said again, just as coldly as she had before.

"Then I guess that we've got to resolve this," Jack murmured. He removed Josie's arm from around his neck and stood up. "Because I'm not leaving her." Bree pointed her pistol at Jack, who quickly pushed it away, just in time to avoid taking a shot to the chest. Her pistol went clattering away, down the hallway. Seizing on the moment, Jack kicked his foot at Bree, trying to sweep her off of her feet, but she was just too fast. She avoided his leg sweep, and punched him in the jaw.

Jack felt his jaw crack into place as he aimed a punch to Bree's face. However, she caught his arm, and used her other to strike his knee, right where she had shot him.

"Agh!" Jack muffled his scream as he sank to his knees, white-hot pain coursing over his body.

"Do you surrender?" Bree asked him. That split second of distraction was all that he needed. He swung his fist at her face, which Bree blocked. However, she hadn't anticipated his second punch, which had gone for her throat. With careful accuracy, Jack punched her throat, causing Bree to stumble backward as she struggled to breath.

"It wasn't hard enough to completely cut off your oxygen," Jack responded. "But it'll give you a nasty headache." Bree sank to her own knees, coughing and struggling to catch her breath. Jack grit his teeth as he stood back up onto his feet. Bree looked over to him right as he kicked at her. Like the agent in the detention cell, Jack caught her chin on his foot, knocking her out cold as she sprawled onto her back.

"You were supposed to be on our side," Jack sighed. "What the hell has that bastard Alpha done to you?" With a groan, he bent down to again wrap Josie's arm around his shoulders, and help her make her way towards the exit.

"I… tried to tell… you," Josie mumbled.

"Yeah, well I didn't believe it anyway until she shot me," Jack replied. A moment or two later, Max came around the corner, flanked by three of his soldiers.

"What happened?" Max asked, as two of the soldiers took over for Jack, carrying Josie in between them.

"What happened was Bree Albright," Jack grumbled. "I don't know what Alpha did to her, but she's not on our side any more. I'm starting to think that she might be the reason Josie is in as poor shape as she is." The group made their way back towards the entrance. Sarah and another soldier even managed to steak a couple of vans, stocked with guns and grenades. She pulled up, allowing Max to help Jack and Josie into the van, before she drove out.

"That's it, men," Wes shouted. "We're pulling out of here!" His team made their way back out the entrance. "Max, we're outside!"

"Got it!" Max replied, pressing a button on his gauntlet. A dozen or more explosives that lined the entrance to the base blew up, completely blowing away the tire store, and collapsing the entrance to the base. "That'll keep them from following us out," Max concluded. "Everyone, back to our base!"

A/N:

Hope you readers enjoyed the breakout chapter! What were your thoughts? As for Bree... Yeah, she's got a lot of choices in front of her, and she's not making many good ones. What about the fight that Cooper, Ben and Gwen had with those drones? Has Vilgax found a way to locate them, or was it a random coincidence, like Gwen seems to think? What were your thoughts on Bree and Jack's fight? How about your view on original aliens being included into the story? I'm going to stay mostly to canon aliens, but I'm willing to throw in original aliens every so often too. Any other comments, thoughts, critiques? Do what you do, and do it well! Thanks for reading, following, loving and leaving reviews! Have an awesome day!

Review Responses:

yraj2004: Ow, Bree crazy bois! Also, the way Wes asked them to come with him to scout out the base entrance, why do I have a teensy-tiny doubt that Wes is a traitor?

Yeah, Bree is at a crossroads, and her confusion is costing pain and suffering on her account, as well as Josie, and as we see in this chapter, Jack and Max. As for Wes, whether he be a traitor or not, he hasn't betrayed them yet. But could he be Alpha's version of Bree Albright? I guess that time will tell. Thanks for reviewing!

Ushindi: Awesome title of this chapter. Well if Bree meet Max and Overwatch, she's got a lot of explaining to do. Alpha knows Max will try to stop him so he's preparing himself though when he will attack he doesn't know. It's good Sam is back to help and face his fears.

Thanks for the review! I'm glad that you liked the title, I thought it was a little deep, but hopefully not too deep. Bree... (Takes a deep breath.) Yeah... As for Alpha, he and Clyde were both absent this chapter. Was that because they were busy fighting Wes and Max's teams, while we followed Jack, or is there another reason? Thanks for reading!
