Chapter 2: Tutorials the Chapter
Part 1
"I'll go with the Structure Deck: Advent of Ragnarok."
My reasoning for this was because I believe that Polar Gods can beat Z-arc under the right circumstances.
As for I didn't choose the other decks. Well it's true that I have a chance to gain the Egyptian God's with Dark Memories, it's only a chance. With Ragnarok, I'm guaranteed to get Loki, Thor, and Odin from the get go.
As Destiny's Call, well Destiny HERO - Plasma is powerful card on his own right, he's nothing compared to the Gods and Z-arc
"Alright, enough waiting. Let's get this over with."

"Thank you for selecting your Deck. The [Shop] is now available and some new features have been unlocked!"
"Your structure deck choice has been transported to your [Inventory]! Happy Dueling Gamer!"
After those messages left the screen, my left eye suddenly began to burn.
"Shit... What the hell is going on?"
I feel to floor trying to not let out a scream. Fuck! My eye hurts lik hell! It felt someone was poking it with their fingers and was not removing it from said eye ball.
After a minute, the pain finally subsides. And when that happened, I stood up and went to my mirror to look and see what happened to my eye. I whistled once I saw it.
"The Rune Eye."
As I looked in mirror. I saw that my left eye had trademark "Rune Eye" of team Ragnarok from Yugioh 5ds. It kinda like "Signers Birthmark", It was a Symbol of their power. A smile slowly crept into my face. It was likely due to my excitement. I'm the proud owner of the Polar Gods now.
"Now, let's see if I can I hide this eye."
From what I can remember in 5ds, Harald, the leader of team Ragnarok was able to turn it on and off by will and after a minute of experimenting, I was able to do the same. It seems that it activates/deactivates via my thoughts. I'll experiment with more later. Time for the meat and potatoes.
"Okay, onto my deck. [Menu]"
As video game screen appeared, I saw two new feature that appeared on the screen. [Challenges] and [Quest]? What's this? The message from earlier did say that I unlocked some new features.

I got sidetracked because I don't have focus. I decided to look up the first 3 challenges.
Challenges
Mr. Perfect:
Defeat any opponent without taking any damage.

Title: (Mr. Perfect)
It gives me Dueling Points or DP nice. Dueling Points is the in game money of the Tag Force Games. Nice! Plus this Challenge also gives me a Title! Do I know what the purpose of Titles are? I don't fucking know! I'll figure it out later.

Summon atleast 1 Fusion, 1 Synchro, and 1 XYZ in 1 turn.

I won't be doing that anytime soon. Which is a shame really. Dimensional Barrier is one hell of a card especially in the Arc - V universe.
Lord of the 9 Realms:
Summon "Loki, Lord of the Aesir", "Thor, Lord of the Aesir", and "Odin, Father of, the Aesir" in just 2 turns by using "Nordic" Monsters.

Two turns?! How the heck is that even possible!? One of them is hard enough, but all three!? This is absurd!

Huh? So if I become friends with Masumi, she'll have a chance of becoming a Lancer huh? Interesting. As much as I hate kids, having another ally to fight Academia is always a good thing. Plus unlocking more card packs and Structure Decks is always important in the Tag Force games.
But forming a friendly relationship with Masumi is going to be tricky. She sees me as rival, not a friendly rival. That's going make befriending her hard.
As for the Childhood Sweetheart quest... Eh... I'll think about it when she's older. I'm not interested in young girls.
"Well, I've got 2 year time limit. So I wouldn't have worry about it for now. Let's see the next one."

So it even counts my last five duels? Nice, but a hundred duels is going to be a tough grind. Lucky for me it doesn't have a Time Limit, like Masumi one. Also, what's the difference between the [Challenges] and [Quests]? Meh... I'm not going to question it.
Welp, that's all my [Quests] for now. They'll probably increase in the future. But on to more pressing matters.
"Okay! Enough of me getting sidetracked! Let's crack open my Structure Deck!"

I opened my [Inventory] and took out the Structure Deck. It was like the Gamer webtoon, as I was able to pull the Deck out of thin air. Damn! I'm so excited right now. Nothing beats getting a new deck.
As I opened the Structure Deck, it had 44 cards in total. 40 in the main deck (15 Monsters, 7 Spells, and 18 Traps.) and 4 in the Extra Deck ( 1 Link Monster and 3 powerful Synchro Monsters.).
"Nice! Nice!"
Who ever designed this Structure Deck is awesome. Destruct Potion and Torrential Tribute in tandem with the anime of Loki is broken. Plus the Video Game version Jormungardr and Fenrir is also a nice touch. And in addition to that, the currently Anime only Trap Card Raging Sacred Curse is great in action duels, which would become relevant in the future.
"I never knew this but, anime Tyr really suck. But anime Valkyrie and Ljosalf are huge upgrades."
Then lastly the three Polar Gods were right infront of me. I was fanboying so hard right now. Team 5ds vs Team Ragnarok is one of my favorite Yugioh duels of all time afterall.
"But as much as I want to. I shouldn't use the gods for now."
I don't want to get unnecessary attention. Plus I could probably win against my current opponents without using them, due to how powerful some of my Trap cards are.
"Now then, I'll look at the [Shop] for a bit and do some window shopping."

As I opened It. Only 3 boosters are currently available for me to purchase. Which was typical of a Tag Force game.
Booster Packs
Monsters for Rookies : A beginner pack. Contains a lot of useful monsters like Sangan (Errata'd) and Breaker the Magical Warrior.
1 x Pack : 150 Dueling Points
Sangan is really useful. Even though it's not the Pre-Errate'd version. It searches 70% of my monster lineup. Man I really wished that had some Dueling Points at the moment.
Spells for Rookies : A beginner pack. Contains a lot of useful Spells like Cynet Mining and Reinforcement of the Army.
1 x Pack : 150 Dueling Points
Hmmm... My deck doesn't really utilize those cards. Onto to the next one then.
Traps for Rookies : A beginner pack. Contains a lot of useful Traps like Dimensional Prison and Bottomless Trap Hole.
1 x Pack : 150 Dueling Points
Another great pack for my deck. I'll reiterate once more. Anime Loki plus Trap Cards is always good a good combination.
"Okay, I'll move onto the Structure Decks. Let's see what they're like."

The only one that was available and it was called "Structure Deck: Monster Mash". Dark Memories and Destiny's Call were not for sale, it seems. They removed them so I couldn't cheat the system.
Structure Decks
Structure Deck: Monster Mash
A structure deck that consists of only monsters like Gallis the Star Beast and Battle Fader.
1 x Structure Deck : 3000 Dueling Points.
Only monsters? Usually decks like these are bound to have good cards inside of them. I'll probably save up for this Structure.
"Okay, let's see the singles."

I decided to see what to the most expensive card was first. But as I saw the card my eyes widened instantly. Heck the top cards were all expensive.
Singles
1. The Wicked Avatar (Anime) : 10,000,000 Dueling Points.
2. The Wicked Dreadroot (Anime) : 9,000,000 Dueling Points
3. The Wicked Eraser (Anime) : 8,000,000 Dueling Points
Well shit. The Wicked Avatar (Anime) is the most unkillable card that I know off. It's ATK will always be he highest and its also immune to all forms of removal. If I had this, Z-arc won't even have a chance against me.
"But it's so expensive."
From what can I remember from the Tag Force games, I'll need to do thousands upon thousands of duels to gain that much Dueling Points. Which was basically impossible, unless I finish the Main Quest, and by the time I finish the Main Quest, The Wicked Avatar (Anime) will be pretty useless at that point. I let out a sigh decided to look for other cards instead.
"I'll look for cards that can benefit my deck instead then."
I decided to look for a card that I can abuse with Loki's Trap recursion effect. And after a minute or so of scanning my memory, I remembered a certain Trap Card that Kaiba used in past.
"Let's search for a Ring of Destruction."
Ring of Destruction is Trap Card that destroy a monster on field and then inflict's damage equal to that monster's ATK to both players.
I could use it destroy Loki, then I'll use Loki's effect to recycle "Ring of Destruction" once more. I can also pair those two cards with "Destruct Potion", which mean that I won't take damage while my opponents will always take 3300 damage during each turn. Because Loki's revival effect was not once per turn.
Luckily for me the shop had a search function. Two searches appeared on the screen once I finishd typing Ring of Destruction.

"What the fuck...?"
I cringe once I saw the prices. They were even more expensive than the Structure Deck that was for sale. This shop really incentivizes the purchases of Booster Packs.
"Welp, while I'm here let's look up how much a Ghost Ogre costs."
Ghost Ogre is very effective hand trap against Pendulum Monsters, that's why I decided to look it up.

You know what? Never buy from singles. It's not worth it.
"Young master! It's time for school!"
Damn it! I wanted to tinker with my abilities some more. This is so annoying. Grade school sucks.
Part 2
"Alright Masumi, can you answer the question on the board."
Masumi nodded and followed our teacher's order like good student that she is.
As I looked at Masumi, I started to plan out ways of trying to befriend her. Let's recall anime first. The onscreen person that she cared about the most was Marco, her teacher for Fusion Summoning.
What If we form a relationship similar to that. What if I became her teacher! I'll gain her friendship that way... Pffft! Yeah right!
"Easier said than done."
I said to myself out loud. I didn't mean to do it though. This caused the ire of my teacher who was explaining to the class some basic math.
"What was that Sawatari? Is there a problem with teaching methods young man?"
My teacher asked in a intimidating tone. Shit! I thought that I was doing a inner monologue.
"Uh? I can explain?"
I said weakly, trying to reason with my teacher.
"Yes, explain it to me later during detention young man."
Ah shit. Rule number one of inner monologues, never say them out loud.
Part 3
After I finished with detention, I saw that Masumi was waiting for me. I'm guessing she wants a duel.
"I want another rematch."
She stated in a calm manner. Perfect, I'll try my plan now.
"Sure, where do you want to duel?"
"I'm not taking a no for an answer! I'm not stopping until we du-... Wait what did you say?"
"Sure, where do you want to duel?"
Masumi's was surprised by my reply. I decided to snap her out of her stupor.
"Are you still there?"
Masumi gives me a glare then motions me to follow her.
"Fine then, follow me."
"Sure I guess."
I shrug my shoulders and follow her without any arguments. As much as I don't want to do this, I need to do this. I need to be prepared for the future.
Part 4
Both of us were near a riverbed getting ready for our upcoming duel. It's certainly nice place though. The sunset is also a great back drop.
"Bring out your duel disk already!"
Masumi shouted. This cheeky brat really has no respect for her elders. No wait... We're the same age. I keep forgetting that.
"Fine."
I stated whilst placing my new Nordic Deck in my duel disk. I don't plan of summoning any of the gods though. I don't want any unnecessary attention. Especially from the Leo Corporation. I'll make my presence known to them in the future.
Masumi saw me place my deck and the we both nodded at each other.
"Duel!"
"Duel!"
Masumi grins at me then does something unexpected. Well to me atleast.
"I'll go second."
"Oh?"
It seems like she's learned from our previous duels. Gem-Knight's are at their best when they are going second after all. That is she isn't playing the Gem-Knight FTK variant.
Shingo's turn

I smiled at cards that I drew. Not bad, not bad. I can win with this.
"I'll Normal Summon Garmr of the Nordic Beasts in ATK position."

A large red wolf appeared on my side of the field. Masumi's eyes widened when she saw my new monster.
"After that I'll set four cards and end my turn."

"My turn draw!"

"Didn't you have a different deck yesterday?"
Masumi asked me with a hint of curiosity in her tone. I decided give her a my answer.
"My old was really weak, So I decided to get new one instead."
"But why, you were able able to beat me with it two times in a row?"
Masumi was confused by my actions. Well, I can't really blame her. I did beat her two times with my Armed Dragon Deck after all.
"I don't feel like telling you."
Masumi frowns in annoyance because I didn't give her an answer.
"Fine! It doesn't matter anyways! You're still going to lose to me!"
She exclaimed whilst pointing at me. Dramatic much? Well anime characters are always like that, so I shouldn't be surprised.
"I'll Normal Summon Gem-Knight Amber in ATK position!"

A yellow armored knight appeared on Masumi's side of the field. She Normal Summoned? What is she planning?
"After that, I'll activate Double Summon!"
My eyes widened. Double Summon? Holy shit, is she doing what I think she's doing?
"Double Summon allows to do another Normal Summon this turn! Come! Gem-Knight Iolite!"

A knight with light blue armor appeared next to Gem-Knight Amber.
"Now I have two level 4 monsters on the field."
Okay then, she's actually going to do it. Did my presence invoke this change on her? That's the only plausible reason that I could think of.
"I'll overlay my level 4 Gem-Knight Amber and Gem-Knight Iolite! Oh knight of the purest material! Appear before me and bring justice upon my enemies! XYZ Summon! Appear! Rank 4! Gem-Knight Pearl!"

A white colored knight with smooth looking armor appeared onto the field.
"How's that! I learned how to XYZ Summon just to beat you!"
She stated proudly. I couldn't help but grin at what she did. Not bad Masumi, you're now infinitely better than your anime counterpart. In the anime, Masumi only did Fusion Summons which didn't really work that well for her.
"I'm not done, I'll activate the Field Spell Gaia Power!"
A giant three appeared behind Masumi due to her Field Spell.
"Field Spell Gaia Power increases the ATK of all EARTH monsters on the field by 500, but they also lose 400 DEF."
Gem-Knight Pearl: ATK 2600 to 3100 and DEF 1900 to 1500
Masumi's Hand: 1 card
"Impossible! A monster with 3100 ATK!?"
I pretended to be afraid/surprised by her monster. Masumi grins once she saw my response. Nice, she took the bait. She's a kid after all. They're all easy to fool.
"Gem-Knight Pearl attack Garmr! Pearl Blaster!"
The Gem-Knight floated up into the air. The it unleashed a powerful blast of energy upon my Nordic Beast.
"You fell for it! I'll activate my Trap Card, Sakuretsu Armor!"
"What!?"
White armor with very sharp spikes appeared and covered my monster.
"When an opponent's monster declares an attack, I can target the attacking monster to destroy it!"
The energy beam that was fired by Gem-Knight Pearl was reflected back to it by the Sakuretsu Armor that Garmr was wearing.
BOOM!
"Gem-Knight Pearl!"
Masumi exclaimed in surprise as her XYZ Monster was destroyed. She then turns towards me with a angry/annoyed glare.
"You tricked me!"
"Hey, think of this as a lesson. Never attack when your opponent's backrow is full."
Masumi glares theb frowns at me before she reluctantly ends her turn. And once agian, you don't scare me Masumi, your just a seven year old.
"Grrr... Fine I'll end my turn."
Shingo's turn
"My turn draw."
The duel became boring afterward. Masumi kept on drawing bricks and I won in a very convincing fashion once again. I didn't lose a single LP during that duel which gave me the "Mr. Perfect" title. Oh yeah, I also got some Dueling Points from that duel. Horray for ingame currency!
Part 5
After I got home and finished my dinner, I decided to change some things in my [Stats]. First off, I decided to change my "Reincarnator" title to my newly acquired "Mr. Perfect" title. Then I changed my Armed Dragon Deck to my Nordic Deck. Then lastly, I decided to set "Loki, Lord of the Aesir" as my Ace Monster for the time being.

Abilities
Gamers Mind: Gives you access to the Gamer menu.
Rune Eye : Enhance reflexes. You are immune to mind altercations and carding. You can also summon the Polar Gods out of duels.
Trickster : You will gain this ability if your Ace Monster is "Loki, Lord of the Aesir". If Loki is face-up on the field, you can change your draw during the Draw Phase into a Nordic Spell/Trap Card instead. (You can only use this once per duel.)
Divine Blessing : You will gain this ability if your Ace Monster is a DIVINE Divine-Beast. Your chances of drawing a brick hand at the start of the duel is reduced by 100%.
Pefectionist : You will gain this ability if your title is "Mr. Perfect". You will gain a 25% boost to your Dueling Points when you don't take any damage during your duel.
Interesting. So depending on the what I have equipped, I will gain a certain Loki as my Ace Monster gave me two skills that are very useful to Dueling. The "Mr. Perfect" title gavis me a great ability for farming.
"I'm curious of what what would happen if I changed my Ace Monster into Thor or Odin."

After I change my Ace Monster to Thor. My Trickster ability changed to Enforcer
Enforcer: You will gain this ability if your Ace Monster is "Thor, Lord of the Aesir". If Thor is face-up on the field, you can change your draw during the Draw Phase into a Nordic monster instead. (You can only use this once per duel.)
It's a monster version Loki's, not bad. Let see Odin's.

I decided to go for Odin as my Ace Monster instead of the other two. I mean why the fuck wouldn't I? It's basically the combination of both Trickster and Enforcer! Of course I would choose this over the other two. But just as I was getting ready to do more things with my Gamer ability. I suddenly let out a yawn.
"Haaaah... Man I'm tired."
I'm sleepy already? Curse my child body! It's only 8:00 PM damn it! I tried to stay awake, but my eyes wouldn't let me. Must not sle-
"Zzzz..."
Part 6
As I came to. I found myself in a lounge area of all places. I suddenly got a weird sense of deja vu. Something similar to this happened to me in the past. Ah shit... Did I die once again...?
As I scanned the area, I saw a sofa, two doors, and a reception desk with...
"What are you doing here you shitty Goddess?!"
I pointed to the being who was responsible for my death in the past. Did this bitch kill me again. Also why was she wearing a Tour Guide of the Underworld cosplay...? The fuck?
"Can we not argue right now. Wearing this outfit is bad enough."
I'm not letting my guard down against this woman. After the shit she put me through last time. I'm not taking any chances.
"Answer the question you shitty Goddess. What are you doing here? Did you kill me again?"
I said in a very annoyed tone. Got into a combat stance and got ready to fight.
"First of all, my name is not Shitty Goddess, it's Mithra. Secondly, the reason why I'm in this place is because it's my punishment."
Her punishment? Was this the thing that God told me earlier.
"What kind of punishment are you talking about?"
"I'm stuck here in the place until you die."
I instantly became wary once more. She noticed my actions and tried to calm me down.
"Look calm down, I basically lost all of my relevant powers now. I can't kill you even if I wanted to."
I nodded reluctantly. I'll believe her for now.
"Good. Let's get back on topic. You asked me earlier if I killed you."
She let's out a tired sigh. It felt like she was dead inside when she said those words.
"Like I said to you earlier, I wish that I could kill you. But I can't and you are not dead. Your in this place because of your Gamer ability. This area that you are currently in, is the boundary between dream and reality."
Ah shit. We're getting all Persona here. For those who don't know, Persona is popular JRPG from my previous life.
"In this place, you can challenge Duels Spirits to duel. Think of this place as the Free Duel function of the Yugioh World Championship series. You can come here every night whenever you sleep. Also time moves slower here that in the real world. One day here is one hour in the real world."
A couple of things that she stated caught my ear. Free Duel and time moves slower. I can definitely abuse this if it's true.i
"Hey shitty Goddess. How do I access these free duels?"
"I told you. My name is Mithra not shitty Goddess."
"My bad, shitty Mithra. How do I access these free duels?"
The shitty Goddess gave me a deadpan stare before she let's out a sigh.
"Do you see those two doors over there. The White door is where you can have your duels. And while I'm at it the Red door is the exit."
I nodded at the shitty Goddess before I decided to make my way towards the White door. But before I could, she grabs my arm preventing me from going forward.
"Wait, you still haven't chosen your opponent."
"My opponent?"
"Yes. You must choose from three of the Duel Spirits here. More will be unlocked in due time."
She then shows me a device that looked like an IPad. Said device showed 3 pages of different Duel Monsters. It ranged from a Skull Servant to a Slacker Magician. But at this moment, I decided to go with the easy choice.
"I'll go with Allure Queen LV7."

Allure Queen was a "LV" monster. One of the weakess monster types like Gemini. That's why I chose her. The shitty Goddess gave me a half-hearted thumbs up once I picked my opponent.
"Alright. The door should be open now."
I nodded and made my way towards the door. But before I entered the door, I asked the shitty Goddess a question.
"Your not planning anything are you? If I walk through that door, nothing bad would happen to me right?"
"No, I just... Can you just do your Free Duel already. I'm getting a headache just by looking at your face."
I nodded and left the shitty Goddess alone to do whatever she does on her free time. Time to see what this Free Duel is like.
Part 7
As I entered the White door. I was blinded momentarily by a bright light. It took me a couple of seconds to regain my sight.
"Shit man, this is epic!"
Having the Gamer ability is fucking epic! The area I was currently in is a large castle that you would commonly see in the medieval period.
"How long a you going to make me wait?"
A feminine voice with authority called out to me. My eyes widened once I saw who it was. She was the Duel Spirit, Allure Queen LV7 and fuckin hell she's a God damn beauty. The card arts don't even do them justice. I wonder what Dark Magician Girl look like if I see her in person. But enough fantasizing. It's time to duel.
"Alright, I'm ready!"
I activated my custom duel disk and got ready for battle. This caused the Duel Spiri to back off slightly and I didn't know why.
"Your Deck... it's frightening. What are you?"
Did she sense them? The Polar Gods? Is that why she's afraid? Wait... That's right the Polar Gods! In here at this place, I can use them without the worry of being discovered! This is going to be fun!
"Hey your majesty, let's begin our duel!"
"Ah yes, my bad. Let us begin!"
The Duel Monster nodded and started our duel.
"I'll go first!"
"Sure."
I decided to let he go first. Let's she what she has up her sleeve.
Allure Queen's turn

"I'll first activate Allure Palace!"
The field that we were in was transformed into a much more brightly colored one. Allure Palace! This is a anime only card! Alright, this is getting interesting.
"Then I'll follow that up by Normal Summon Allure Queen LV3 in ATK position."
(Allure Queen LV3/DARK/Level 3/Spellcaster/Effect/ATK 500/DEF 500)
A woman with an elegant looking dress appeared my opponent's side of the field.
"Due to Allure Palace's effect all my Allure Queen monsters will gain 500 ATK!"
Allure Queen LV3 : ATK 500 to 1000
Here it comes, the broken effect Allure Palace is about to begin.
"When a Allure Queen monster that I control is Normal or Special Summoned to my side of the field, I can Special Summon a Allure Queen monster with the same name to my opponent's side of the field! Appear! Another Allure Queen LV3!"
A Allure Queen identical to my opponent's monster appeared on my side of the field.
