CHAPTER 7

The Yule Ball was a fun event. Heck, I didn't know how to dance and kept on tripping on my toes but luckily Lily was there to guide me. Snape was glaring at me seeing I was spoiling his daughter's dance. She was laughing at this wholeheartedly and was teasing me every time she got the opportunity. She was in good spirits nowadays.

Snape confessed everything to Lily and desperately asked for her forgiveness. She decided to forgive her father and recently they spent a lot of time together making up for the lost time. Apparently Snape was awkward expressing his emotions and being a parent was new to him. He began showering Lily with lot of gifts, went into overprotective Dad mode and started glaring at any guy who came near her. He started openly showing his favouritism towards her which was shocking a lot of people. Lily joked that with his new behaviour, he might become the Dad of the year. But anyway I was happy for the man given how sad his life was.

Dumbledore had a theory that since Lily Evan's blood protection was working for Harry through Petunia, maybe if stayed with us, the same protection could be applied through Lily, since she was his sister and shared her mother's blood. Snape was kind of against it initially saying that Harry's influence on his daughter would not be good and feared she might end up becoming reckless. But he finally relented after lot of persuasion. We were still thinking on how to tell the news to Harry, that he had a sister.

But nobody saw what was coming. And since I did not remember the plot, the Triwizard tournament proceeded as it should. Voldemort was revived. But there were slight deviations as well. Namely, Cedric was alive and not there on that graveyard of little Hangleton when Voldemort got revived. And the biggest shock was that when Voldemort summoned his death eaters to that graveyard, Snape also went there, sacrificed his life so that Harry could get out using the portkey in the cup with the little time he could buy. There was no Priori Incantatem scenario here.

"Run Potter! Stay safe with your sister and don't let your mother's sacrifice be in vain", were Snape's last words to Harry before he was killed by Voldemort.

Snape's dead body was later given a proper burial at Hogwarts. The majority of people who felt sad by his demise were Slytherins. Lily was a heart-wreck and even I was crying with her. Harry was still shocked that Snape sacrificed his life for him. This time around Cornelius Fudge could not try to hide the news that Voldemort was back as it was Snape who had died. And Harry shared his memory with the Ministry, so it was publicly declared that Voldemort was back.

Dumbledore decided that it was best to tell Harry the truth. So before we returned to our home after 4th year was over, he called Harry, me and Lily once to his room.

Harry spoke, "Hello Professor Dumbledore, may I know why you called us here".

"Hi Harry, I actually called you here to tell the truth about Snape. You might be wondering why he decided to die for you".

And so he told the truth about Snape. About the prophecy, about Snape's love for his mother. Harry was just shocked trying to process the Information. He was kind of shaken.

"I couldn't thank him for protecting me. What did professor Snape mean by my sister", Harry replied slowly.

"Ah Harry about that, Lily Prince here is actually your Half sister. She is the daughter of Snape and your mother Lily Evans".

"What?"

"Let me explain it to you properly", and Dumbledore explained about Lily to Harry. He was dumbfounded and looking at Lily awkwardly. Dumbledore explained that if Harry wanted, he could live with us since he assumed that Lily's blood could keep the sacrificial protection running. He said he might need to tweak the Blood Charm a little bit. Harry decided to come with us.

The journey to our home was awkward as both Lily and Harry didn't know how to speak with each other.

Lily spoke slowly, "I can understand if you hate me Harry given the fact that I am Professor Snape's daughter and I have Voldemort's blood running through me".

Harry replied, "No it's not like that. You are family and Dumbledore said that Mom's protection will work by being near you. So I must actually thank you. It's just pretty awkward now what to speak. Even at Hogwarts, we never spoke with each other much. I am just not sure how to react when you suddenly have a sister".

They were making small talk as we reached home. Harry started staying in another room. And it was clear the siblings were bonding slowly with each passing day. One day Lily decided that it would be better if we went to my world so we can see Harry Potter novels/series so that we can have a headstart on what to expect from the future and get information. We also told Harry about the truth of my world. So the 3 of us used the Time Turner to get back to my Universe, but there was something wrong as we ended up in another universe.
