CHAPTER 8

We looked like we were in Godric's Hollow instead of being in my Universe. But the environment looked slightly different. The village was lively. There were many people in the village. On seeing us, a random woman came to us and spoke to Harry, "Harry Potter, what are you doing here outside. I heard your mother telling that you immediately went for a vacation to your friend Ron Weasley's home directly from Hogwarts once your 4th year was over. Your Mom is quite worried now that He-who-must-not-be-named has returned and the Longbottom kid almost died. Obviously your father pampers you a lot, I am just coming from your home. Go meet her immediately".

We all were stunned. Apparently looks like we were in a Universe where Harry's parents survived. Harry was becoming emotional on prospect of meeting his parents. Lily was also becoming emotional as her mother was alive but she didn't want to spoil her brother's happiness as her presence itself could create problems. We didn't want to attract much attention. So we stayed outside while Harry went on to his home.

"I am home", Harry announced as he rang the bell.

Lily Potter opened the door, and from outside we could see her blue eyes, the same ones her children inherited showing glimpses of worry, happiness and irritation. She was just like as she was in the movies. She yelled, "Harry James Potter, what were you thinking jumping like that to Ron's home like that without informing us? Do you know how much worried I was? Voldemort is back and you know he almost killed your friend Neville who is the Boy who Lived. Even your Dad was worried because of your actions. Luckily Molly told me you were with their family".

Harry was overrun with emotions and he hugged his mother crying, "I am sorry Mom for making you worry over me".

Her eyes softened on seeing her son's reaction, "It's okay Harry. You are a grown up boy now and need to take life seriously. We are living in dangerous times. Come in".

She saw us and spoke, "Are you Harry's new friends? I insist you come inside our home".

She began to scrutinize Lily's appearance and Lily was becoming uncomfortable.

I spoke, "It's okay, Mrs. Potter. We were just accompanying Harry. We have never been to Godric's Hollow before and we will just roam outside a little".

She accepted our answer and went inside along with Harry. Harry Potter was feeling extremely emotional as he went inside his home. The home was lively. He could see pictures of himself with his parents. There were photos of him on Broomstick with James and Lily as well as pictures from International Quidditch matches.

James Potter saw his son and immediately rushed towards him, "Hi Son! I was worried for you. I hope you are alright right?"

"Yes Dad. Sorry for worrying you".

He was smiling "It's okay Son. Now your mother was telling me you ran with the Weasleys because you have started recently dating Ginny Weasley. Is it true?"

Harry for a moment was at a loss for his words but he decided to play along, "Yes Dad, we recently started dating and I am really happy about our relationship now".

His father sounded proud and happy, "That's great son. Now be careful wherever you are because things are about to get ugly. Don't make reckless decisions".

"Yes Dad".

Lily Potter came and spoke, "Okay the Lunch's ready and I have prepared your favourite food Harry. Come on".

Harry was mostly emotional. He spent the entire day with his parents and he also saw albums. He enjoyed his mother's home cooked meal. He didn't want to leave this life which could have been his if not for ill-fated death of his parents. But he decided he had to move on and he got the closure which he wanted.

It was almost Evening and he told his parents with tears in his eyes, "Thank you Mom and Dad for everything. I will forever be grateful to you both. I will just meet my friends who are touring around Godric's Hollow". James and Lily Potter just smiled.

Harry came out and met us. Lily asked, "So Harry are you happy". He just smiled.

We decided to use the Time Turner again hoping that we would go to my Universe now. But again it took us to another universe. It was clear something was wrong.

We were in a town. I recognized the street as Number 12, Grimauld Place, Home of Sirius Black. Just opposite to it we found a small building with a board "Snape's Residence". We were kind of curious and went there to ring a bell. And we were quite surprised by who opened the door.

It was Lily Evans who was looking same as in movies but she had green eyes. She looked at us and asked politely, "Hello, I am Lily Snape. May I know who you are and why are you here?".

She then saw Harry and immediately beamed, "Hi Harry, what a surprise you are here. Missed your aunt already, huh! Don't worry once you start Hogwarts this year, I will teach you everything and make you the best Potioneer. If your Uncle Sev tries to be strict towards you in his DADA classes, come and complain to me. But are you using any Transfiguration, because you seem to be 4 years older and having blue eyes instead of your mother, Petunia's pale eyes. Given that James teaches Transfiguration, I wouldn't be surprised if your father was teaching you".

We were gob-smacked. I got an idea, maybe since Snape was the one who invented the Time Turner, maybe another Snape could repair it and send us to my Universe. I asked, "Is Professor Snape inside. We need to meet him with an urgent matter".

She nodded her head and invited us to her home. We saw some family photos. It had Snape (like in the movies) with Lily Evans and 2 children – A boy and a Girl. The Boy was having Black Hair and green eyes and was looking like Dylan O'Brien. The girl, who seemed few years younger had red hair and green eyes and was looking like Sophie Skelton.

We saw Snape who was reading newspaper in the Hall. We told them the truth about ourselves. On seeing both Snape and Lily, my friend Lily was became emotional and hugged them. Both the Snapes smiled and hugged her back comforting her. Me and Harry were looking at each other's faces watching the scene awkwardly.

After a while, I asked Lily Snape, "Mrs. Lily, if you don't mind can you tell us events in this Universe".

She looked at us and replied, "Okay but from where shall I start. Me and my sister Petunia didn't get along well because she couldn't do magic. Me and Sev were childhood best friends. But being sorted in different houses in Hogwarts put a strain in our relationship. Sev especially got in with Death Eaters from his house Slytherin and became vindictive. He called me a Mudblood in our Fifth year, and I decided to end our friendship fearing he was long gone to the dark side. I never knew he loved me. Apparently in our 6th year, he met Dumbledore and joined the Death Eaters as a spy on Dumbledore's request so that he could protect me and end Voldemort. Sev and Dumbledore were hunting horcruxes due to inside information from Regulus Black. Dumbledore touched a ring which was a Horcrux and had a curse which was killing him. In order to cement Sev's position as spy, he ordered Sev to kill him as he was anyway dying. Sev killed Dumbledore by the end of our 6th year which made him the most hated person. Voldemort captured the ministry and Hogwarts. Before Dumbledore's death, he told the Marauders – a group of 4 about Horcruxes and to hunt them. They didn't join back in their 7th year and went on a Horcrux hunt. But Peter Pettigrew betrayed them and told about Horcrux hunting to Voldemort. So the other 3 – James, Remus and Sirius were hunting the horcruxes while being hunted by Voldemort's people. Meanwhile Bellatrix was made the Hogwarts HeadMistress in our 7th year. Sev was appointed as Head boy as a reward for killing Dumbledore and on his request, I was made Headgirl. None of us knew where Sev's loyalties were and at that point I absolutely loathed him for killing Dumbledore. As Head boy and Head Girl, we had to meet frequently and I made him know I hated him. He looked like he was hurt but I didn't care much. Meanwhile Sev and Regulus were secretly getting the information on Horcruxes from the inside and sending it to Marauders, who did not know from where the information was coming. They destroyed some of the Horcruxes found through the information using Fiendfyre. Then in 7th year during Easter Holidays, Sev finally decided to reveal his true colours. He took me and we both along with Regulus joined Marauders in hunting horcruxes. There was a huge war and finally Voldemort was killed by Sev, James, Sirius and Remus. Knowing that Sev was willing to sacrifice everything just for me, I fell in love with him. We married shortly after graduation. We have 2 children – Harold Albus Snape, who is in Gryffindor and Lily Marlene Snape who is in Ravenclaw. James took some time to move on from me, but after 4 years, he met my sister and they fell in love and got married. They have a son Harry James Potter who looks just like his father but has my sister's eyes. My relationship with my sister also improved now that she is part of the magical world and we meet very regularly. Sev is now part of the 4 Marauders and they irritate him by calling him his codename SNIVELLUS while he also calls them names. We got this house in a good deal because both Sirius and Regulus negotiated for us a good deal. Now Professor Minerva McGonagall is the headmistress and James teaches Transfiguration. I teach potions at Hogwarts while Sev teaches DADA. Trust me, he was vindictive towards students in our initial teaching years and it was awkward for me when students used to come complain to me. But now after listening to me, I can say he is not vindictive but he is still a very strict teacher. Actually Harold is good at quidditch and James teaches both him and Harry. This year Gryffindor lost the House Cup to Slytherin by 10 points because Sev removed some points from Gryffindor students at last minute. So Harold is a little upset with his father, but I guess he will slowly understand and come around".

That was a lot of Information to take in. And that's when I realized that Lily's green eyes meant that this was a version of the book Universe and not the movie universe. So it was not a surprise to know that Snape was initially vindictive towards students. My friend Lily and Snape together repaired our Time Turner so that now it would take us where we wanted. We bid goodbye to the Snapes and we reached my Universe Finally!
