It was late when the others returned to the scrapyard. Thunderhoof and Metalsound went to the area where Metalsound had been sleeping when she was staying with them before, while Sideswipe headed over to Strongarm's quarters. He prepared to knock when he heard a voice behind him.
"Yo kid, not a wise idea," Thunderhoof says walking up behind him.
Turning around Sideswipe just glared at the Decepticon, he didn't even know the mech had followed him, "Why wouldn't it be a wise idea?" He asked as he folded his arms across his chest.
"Unless you want an angry and protective Wolf-Con all over your aft it's best if you wait."
"Where's Metalsound?" He growled in annoyance that he couldn't speak to Strongarm.
"She's lying down in an area of the scrapyard."
"What are you doing over here?"
"I saw you heading over here and thought I better stop you."
"Oh."
There was an awkward silence for a moment.
"What did you come over here to see Strongarm about?" Thunderhoof asked breaking the silence.
"Just wanted to make sure she was alright," Sideswipe replied with a shrug.
"Hope you're not getting a crush on her."
"What?! No! Why would I like someone as stuck up as Strongarm?"
"I don't know. But good thing you don't as you can't be with her."
"I know, I did some research on Wolf-Cons after what strongarm told us about her and Steeljaw."
"Yes, she now belongs to him, she's his and no other bot can have her."
"That's just great," the red mech muttered, "So how did you and Metalsound get together?"
"We met when she first joined our pack and I instantly started to fall for her, and just recently I told her how I felt and won her spark."
"Sounds nice," Sideswipe says as he looks away, "Well, I'm gonna head to my quarters and recharge," he says before walking off. Thunderhoof watched him for a second before turning to head back to where Metalsound was.
The wolf Predacon was in her beast form, on her back, looking at the stars, "Where'd you run off to?" She asked when Thunderhoof appeared.
"Went to stop the red punk from getting himself killed."
"Let me guess, he tried going in while Steeljaw was with her?" She chuckled in question. Raising her paw she made a small motion before giggling to herself.
"Pretty much, yeah."
With another chuckle she made a shape while looking at the stars, looking for any constellations she had discovered over the years. He sits next to her, "What are you doing?"
"Looking for constellations."
He lays down and looks up at the stars while listening to everything she tells him, "You've never done this before, have you?" She asked as she looked at him.
"Never, this is my first time."
"I used to do this all the time," she replied as she sighed, "Dreadwing would have liked this. Feeling the cool breeze, the sky would have been his for the taking."
"I'm sure he would have really enjoyed this."
With a smile Metalsound scooted her body closer to her mate, resting her helm on his chest, "Arigatou, Tsundahoof."
"What?" He asks with a chuckle.
"I said, thank you, Thunderhoof."
"Oh, no problem Metalsound."
In the morning Strongarm and Steeljaw were woken up by a knock at the door, "Strongarm, Steeljaw, get up and come out," Steeljaw instantly starts growling at being woken up. It doesn't help that he's woken up by the voice of the Autobot he so much despises.
"We'll be right there!" Strongarm called as she stretched her arms over her helm, "Come on Steeljaw, we don't want to keep them waiting," she replied as she got up. After she made sure she had everything on and in place, she went outside. Steeljaw followed her after he had put his armor back on.
Everyone assembled in the scrapyard, except for Metalsound, "Has anyone seen Metalsound?" Thunderhoof asked the group, "When I woke up she was gone," he said before looking over at Steeljaw, "How'd you sleep?" He asked the Wolf-Con.
"Pretty well, until I was woken up."
"At least you didn't wake up by yourself. Where did she go anyway?" He asked as he looked at the scrapyard's door. Soundwave walked over to the duo, his screen flickered to life. Metalsound was just outside the door, "There she is," Thunderhoof said before he turned to see the dark femme walking in slowly towards them.
"Where have you been?" Sideswipe asked.
"Went for a run, now I need to do my stretches," she replied as she put her arms halfway in the air, standing on one foot.
"Well, that's gonna have to wait because it's time to start community service, all four of you."
"Aww, I can't do my stretches first?" Metalsound asked.
"Afraid not. Soundwave and Metalsound will help Fixit, Steeljaw and Thunderhoof will help Danny."
"Should be fun," Thunderhoof grumbled only to get a light tap from Metalsound.
"Just make sure you're careful around the humans."
"Which one is Danny?" Thunderhoof asked looking at the two humans.
"That would be me," Danny says stepping forward.
"Oh, so what do you want us to do?"
"Follow me," he says as he starts walking. Thunderhoof and Steeljaw followed after him while Soundwave and Metalsound followed after Fixit.
Bumblebee then looks at Strongarm and Sideswipe, "Strongarm, you and Sideswipe look over Steeljaw and Thunderhoof."
Thunderhoof glanced over to Strongarm and Sideswipe, he hoped that the red mech wouldn't cause any trouble. Steeljaw releases a low growl so Strongarm can't hear him, "Why does that punk have to come along?"
"Don't go starting any trouble, I've got enough worries as it is with that kid," Thunderfoof tells him.
"Like what?"
"He's just annoying."
"That he is."
"So what are we doing?" Thunderhoof asked Danny.
"I just got in a shipment so you two are gonna help put the stuff where I want them to go."
"Sounds simple enough," Thunderhoof replied.
"Here we are," Danny says as they arrive at the spot, "Pick up some boxes and follow me, I'll show you where to put them."
Thunderhoof looked over to Steeljaw, shrugging at the shipment, it looked like a lot of old music boxes. Carefully picking up a few boxes he followed Danny as he showed them where to put them. Setting the stack on the ground a music box fell to the ground, breaking into several pieces. As it collided with the ground a single note played before it fell silent.
"Be gentle these are antiques!"
"They're what?" Thunderhoof asked as he knelt down to pick up the music box only to stop when he heard a loud pop followed by a yelp, "What on Cybertron was that?"
Metalsound was on her back whimpering softly, "Ow, that hurt."
Bumblebee comes over to where she is, "What happened?"
"I connected the wrong wires together and it shocked me," she replied.
"But I thought electricity didn't hurt you," Jetfire piped remembering his encounter with her in the thunderstorm. She had dropped him for a moment as a bolt of lightning hit her before she caught him again.
"That's only when I'm in the air if I'm grounded or near metal then it hurts like crazy," she replied as she slowly sat up.
"Are you gonna be alright?" Bumblebee asks.
"Yeah," she winced as she shook herself free of the shock, "Now I know how you felt when you fell onto those power lines," the femme said to Soundwave who just looked at her with a blank face.
"Just be more careful from now on," Bumblebee warned.
"I wonder how-"
CRASH!
"Nooo!"
"The heck are they doing?" She asked as she looked out the window. Seeing the broken boxes her jaw dropped as she stared in disbelief.
"Scrap, sorry," Thunderhoof apologized as he tried to pick up one of the now many broken music boxes.
"I said be gentle, they're antiques!"
"What is an antique?!"
"It means that they're old and fragile," Thunderhoof looked up to see an upset Metalsound. She knelt down and gently picked up one of the music boxes, "I think I can save them, Danny," she told the older human as she looked closely at the box, gently poking at it.
"A lot of these antiques are known to make them what they call money, these antiques are practically Danny's living," says Strongarm jumping into the conversation.
"It's basically the same as credits back on Cybertron," Metalsound added as she put the key back in place. Testing it she turned the key as it slowly started to play a soothing melody.
"Oh, I see now."
Strongarm watched Metalsound as she started fixing the other music boxes, "Lieutenant, why don't we have Thunderhoof work with Soundwave and Fixit for a while? Metalsound can help Danny with the rest of his shipment," Strongarm suggests.
"Good idea."
Rolling his optics, Thunderhoof left to join the others. He could hear each music box coming to life as Metalsound fixed them as quickly as he had broken them.
After an hour she had fixed all of the broken antiques, "Where do you want these Danny?"
Danny showed her where to put them.
