Scourge, Evac, and Hotshot finally dragged their slow acts into the red room. They scanned the room, just in case Lancex was no longer in the room. It took a few minutes, but the bot in question was soon located. Lancex was sitting at a table with his back to the trio and was obviously engaged in some type of activity as far as the trio could tell.
"Well, what should we do?" Hotshot asked, wanting to know as he was young and inexperienced.
"I think we should grab our share of energon and then we three go over and try to talk to Lancex. But we best be careful. Primes are known to always keep their wits about them even if they are distracted" Evac answered, wanting the other two to be careful. Scourge and Hotshot nodded and the trio soon grabbed their energon and then headed over to where Lancex was.
It took a minute or two, but soon Lancex detected a presence. He switched how his audios worked and then looked up. He was a little puzzled to see Evac, Hotshot, and Scourge. "Something wrong?" Lancex asked, a bit tense.
"Do you mind if we join you for energon?" Evac asked, as he was the most calm and collected of the trio.
Lancex shook his helm. He didn't mind company. "Please" Lancex replied, offering them seats at the bot sized table.
"Thank you" Hotshot managed to get out. Lancex just glared a bit at the bot, not sure what this was, but he did know that 3 on 1 were not good odds for him should a fight break out.
"We just had some questions for you" Scourge stated, a bit tense as being around so many bots at once made the bot a bit uncomfortable.
Lancex nodded. "I will do my best to answer the questions you ask, however, I must add that there may be some information that you wouldn't be privy to, and so I would not answer those questions" Lancex answered, making it clear that there were some types of questions he wouldn't be able to answer.
"Fair enough" Evac replied, in understanding.
Hotshot noticed the bot was working on something. "What are you working on?" Hotshot asked, curious.
"Well, I modified my gun to use energon bullets, but they hav3 to be created carefully" Lancex answered.
"What are you going to do once they are ready?" Scourge asked, wanting to see if this bot had a penchant for fighting like Scourge did.
"Obliterate Megatron and close the black hole" Lancex answered, stunning the others.
"And what do you plan to do once you are successful?" Evac asked, hoping that this wasn't a wasted effort.
"Well, after Megatron is destroyed, I want to have a family" Lancex replied.
"A family?" Hotshot asked, wanting to know more.
"Yes, a family" Lancex replied, a bit taken aback at their collective shock. "Just because I look intimidating as hell doesn't mean I can't want a family."
"How big would your family be?" Evac asked, trying to steer the focus back to the question asked.
"Well, I don't know as to the number of sparklings, but I have always felt in my spark a deep calling for multiple mates to compete my family" Lancex replied.
"When you say multiple mates, would you being willing to have three?" Evac asked.
Lancex nodded. "That would work, as I believe that the spark can love many. And it would be like days of old when trine seekers would bond with each other and then have a fourth mate to compete the set."
Scourge and Hotshot nodded. "Lancex, part of the reason Scourge, Hotshot, and I came to talk to you is that we feel drawn to you" Evac revealed.
Now it was Lancex's turn to be shocked. "I am an old mercenary bot who can't transform. Why would you want me?" He asked.
"Because it feels like Primus has drawn us to you" Hotshot answered honestly.
Lancex slowly nodded. He wasn't sure about all of this. "Before I say yes, I want a little time to thoroughly process this" Lancex revealed.
Scourge and Hotshot nodded. "Take your time, Lancex. WE know these things are not to be taken lightly. Just let us know when you are ready to tell us" Evac explained before he and the other two left. They wanted to give Lancex time to think over the proposal. All three just hoped what Lancex decided would be good for the trio.
