Unaware that his older brother was going to be fiercely protective of Lancex, said bot was calmly walking around the base with Vector Prime, who had easily caught up with bot after both bots had left Optimus with Red Alert and Scattershot. "So what brings you here?" Vector Prime asked, unsure.
"I felt called. A call went out for all Autobots to make their way to earth. It was the same call that Wingsaber received" Lancex answered.
"But we gave no call" Vector Prime replied in all honesty.
"No, this came from something else or someone else. I was glad to get the call as I feared my brother and the rest of the Autobots were dead and I was the lone Autobot remaining" Lancex replied.
Vector Prime nodded. "So, before being called here, what did you do?"
"I was a demon hunter" Lancex replied. It explained his unusual weaponry.
"Why did you choose that path?" Vector asked as they continued on towards the rec room.
"I made a promise to an old friend of mine. I destroyed the demon inside him and he begged me to keep going as his dying wish" Lancex replied. Vector nodded and they both headed to get energon from the rec room.
Meanwhile, unaware of Optimus' newest desire to fiercely protect his younger brother, Hotshot, Scourge, and Evac made plans to get to know Lancex. First up was Evac, as they figured he was the least likely bot that Optimus would expect to fall for Lancex if Optimus thought any bot would fall for his brother. Evac made his way around the base before he was redirected to the rec room.
Once at the rec room, Evac scanned the area quickly. Lancex was sitting alone but Evac spotted that Vector Prime was there, and Evac knew Vector Prime made constant reports to Optimus. Evac headed over, figuring he would discuss about how to fix the black hole, as they were all fighting for that. "Hey Lancex, did that information you brought help us find the last Cyber Planet key?" Evac asked, as he as well as all the Autobots were curious about it.
Lancex looked to Evac and smiled. It was just a friendly smile, as Lancex appreciated bots who respected him but didn't fear him. "It would appear so, my friend" Lancex answered, unaware that he was being monitored by Vector Prime.
"So where did it show up?" Evac asked, honestly curious.
"On a planet called Gigantiun" Lancex replied.
"I've never heard of that planet" Evac answered, but then he had been stuck on earth for millennia.
"Most bots hadn't. They searched for it. It doesn't exist in our dimension" Lancex replied.
"Not in our dimension?" Evac asked.
"Nope, apparently it was swallowed by a wormhole and ended up in another dimension" Lancex replied.
"Well, that's gonna make it even harder to find then" Evac replied and Lancex nodded. They chatted for a few more minutes before Evac left.
Only once out of the red room and on his way elsewhere did Evac drop his cover. He figured his line of questioning should not trigger anyone that he had an interest in Lancex and all Vector Prime would report was that Evac asked about things pertinent to the effort at hand. Evac could only hope that other two would do as well.
