After having explored more of the fair, they headed for the energon food and drink area of the fair. They all felt a little low on energon and so wanted to charge up. It didn't take long for the four to enjoy their energon and begin chatting about many different things, essentially getting to know each other, though Scourge, Evac, and Hotshot we're learning more about Lancex than each other.
Curious, Hotshot felt compelled to ask, "what was that book that you were reading as we met up with you at the space bridge?"
"It is a book about demons and fiends?" Lancex replied, figuring this was an easy answer to give.
"Why would you have a book like that?" Hotshot asked, unaware that he was the only one who didn't even have a guess.
"Before Primus called me to join you to save the universe from the black hole, I was a demon hunter, and I like to keep my skills sharp, as demons are very crafty" Lancex replied. Hotshot and Evac nodded. Scourge understood before Hotshot had even asked, but he had a different question – he wanted to know more about the weapon that Lancex had purchased.
"Lancex, I know you are not short for weaponry, as since you cannot transform, you are heavily armed. I would like to ask why you purchased your latest weapon, as you seem to already possess a sword like weapon."
Lancex sighed, as the memory was still painful to him, but he figured that they were owed an explanation. "I bought the weapon, because it was once the weapon of my best friend" Lancex started.
"Was the weapon?" Evac asked, pretty sure where this was headed, but even he didn't see the ending.
"Yes, was….you see I had to slaughter him with his own weapon as a demon had overtaken him. He asked me with his last bit of sanity to do so, to save him. And after I stabbed this weapon into him, he made me promise with his dying breath that I would continue to seek out demons and destroy them, wherever they hide" Lancex finally told them. All three were stunned and sat in silence for a short bit before the trio got up and went to hug Lancex. They wanted him to know he was still the bot they wanted even with this dark secret. Lancex was surprised. "You…. You don't hate me for what I've done?"
"No, we have all heard of much worse" Scourge answered, having even done some of the worse things himself before he changed into an Autobot. Lancex nodded, as he felt better around these bots. Hopefully, this relationship would continue to grow. They soon saw all the sights they wanted to see and then took a space bridge back to Cybertron. They had all grown closer now, but how soon would that grow to more, no one knew.
