After about five years, which seemed like an instant in transformer time, Lancex and the trio had grown to know each other well, and while they hadn't yet sparkbonded, they already felt like a family. Lancex had learned so much about the three and even himself, as did the other three. This day saw Lancex heading out, as he felt compelled to tell his older brother about what he planned on doing.
Optimus wasn't hard to find and soon, Lancex found the bot. Optimus was working away in his office, which was where he worked when he wasn't out helping build new space bridges. Lancex headed out, with good news he couldn't wait to share.
Meanwhile, Evac, Hotshot, and Scourge had grown closer together as they had grown closer to Lancex. The trio had decided on something but felt the need to talk to some bot first. And then it came to them, Landmine, Jetfire, and Snarl would listen to what they had to say and give them good direction. So, in wanting to tell their news and get advice, Evac, Hotshot, and Scourge headed out.
Before the trio could reach the bots they sought, Lancex reached his brother. Lancex was so excited, he burst into the office without knocking. Thankfully, Optimus wasn't too busy nor was he upset when he saw who it was. Optimus just sighed, as he didn't like it when Lancex did this. "Where's the fire?" Optimus asked, clearly not in the mood for games.
"No fire. I just have important news. You know the bots I have been getting to know. (Optimus nods). Well, I plan on bonding to them tonight" Lancex revealed.
Optimus smiled at that. "So, the saner of the two of us has settled down" Optimus replied.
Lancex smiled, as he realized that Optimus had accepted this. "You know, bro. You could have what I have if you wanted to. In fact, I think Jetfire has a crush on you" Lancex stated, trying to help his brother.
Optimus shook his helm. "I will be fine. You go and enjoy your family" Optimus replied, and soon dismissed Lancex. After the younger bot left, Optimus thought about what the bot had said about Jetfire. Optimus just shook his helm. He doubted Jetfire felt like that, and so Optimus went back to work.
Meanwhile, Evac and the other two finally found the bots they sought and soon revealed the plans Evac, Hotshot, and Scourge had. Jetfire merely nodded as did snarl. Landmine offered a bit of advice, and all three gave their support. Soon, not only was Lancex heading home, but the trio that made up the rest of his family was heading home as well. Tonight, the four would bond and become a complete family, unaware that they would become more like a family then they realized, thanks to something none of them knew about Lancex's systems.
