I sat in my room with a piece of paper and a pen in hand. I sighed and put my stuff down. I went outside, hoping the fresh air would clear my mind as I walked along the shore. The sun had begun to set, and brilliant colors of pink and yellow streaked across the sky.

I gasped and held my stomach. Everything around me started to blur together, and a wave of dizziness swept over me. I fell to the ground, struggling to maintain consciousness. "Tidus..." I whispered as my eyes closed.

"Yuna!" Tidus ran up the small hill where I sat down watching the sunset. He sat down, and crossed his legs. "Whatcha doin'?"

"I was just... thinking," I replied softly. I gazed out past the horizon, as the brilliant colors of the sky seemed to melt into one.

I opened my eyes. What had happened? I looked around. No matter where I turned to, all I saw was an endless field of white. Suddenly, a stream of images rushed past me and I struggled to stay standing upright.

When the wind died, I gasped at what I saw. The images were memories... saved like movie spheres of my past. I approached one and touched Tidus' face. I stepped back as a ripple effect began to take place. All the other images seemed to fall in an endless abyss, and the one I just touched seemed to expand in all directions.

"Yuna, don't worry about it. After you beat Sin, that's when you can worry about your future, right?"

I smiled. He was so innocent, yet he had stayed by my side without a second thought. I stepped back in surprise as the screen disappeared and another clip took its place.

"That's right... guardians are supposed to protect the summoner. Yuna, wherever you go, I'll follow!" Tidus said.

"Anywhere?" I saw myself ask. Tidus nodded.

We looked at each other and nodded in unison. "Let's go!"

"He was more than a guardian, he was a friend," I said to myself. "A friend who helped me find love... and held me up."

You didn't let me fall... and you saw me through it all... through... to the end.

The clip faded and the screen turned black. I closed my eyes and cleared my mind. The screen suddenly started to play another clip, and I noticed it was the first thought that had come into my mind once I cleared it.

"I can fly. Believe."

Tidus watched in horror as I watched myself jump over the Bevelle temple ledge. In truth... it was because Tidus had believed and trusted me, that I was able to summon Valefor. It was because of his strong will that Sin... his father, Jecht, was defeated. It was because of him Spira was able to enjoy the Eternal Calm. It was because of him... that I was everything I was now. I felt a tear slide down my cheek. I was able to become High Summoner... simply because...

"You loved me."
