Here is my very own Bakugan fanfic. I've always wondered what happened to Preyas after he was defeated by Klaus and Sirenoid. So here's my vision of what I think happened to Preyas. Enjoy!
It was a calm night outside. The crickets were chirping and the wind blew softly. The stars were shining high in the sky above. Inside a helicarrier, Dan Kuso and his friends were getting ready for bed. They've had a long day today and were really tired. They had been busy fighting Masquerade and his growing army of corrupted Bakugan Brawlers. He was getting stronger everyday with his Bakugan Hydranoid and soon he would be unstoppable. Masquerade was also affiliated with the evil Bakugan Naga who uses him as a pawn for his plans. Dan and his team try their best to stop him, but their efforts are in vain as the days pass.
But not all is lost, as they've managed to save Julie's childhood friend Billy and his Bakugan Cycloid from Masquerade's grasp. Shun had also saved Komba and his Bakugan Harpus as well. But Klaus, Chan, and Julio were still under the villainous boy's control. Masquerade had been able to take control of the top 6 best brawlers and made them into his own personal army. But Dan and his friends were prepared to take them on one by one. They've managed to hold them off for as long as they could, losing some of their bakugan in the process. Masquerade gave the top brawlers Doom Cards to allow them to send defeated Bakugan straight to the Doom Dimension!
The Doom Dimension is an alternate dimension in which no Bakugan has ever returned from. All Bakugan are afraid of being sent there as it's a very barren and inhospitable place. Even the teams' Bakugan are afraid of being sent there as well. But so far, they've been able to avoid being sent there. Well, not all of them were so lucky.
Nikita and her Bakugan Pegatrix went outside to get some fresh air. They were both exhausted after all that battle practice they did with the gang. They were both ready to turn in for the night. Nikita and Pegatrix looked up at the stars in the night sky and smiled. They had never seen such a beautiful display of stars before. Pegatrix had never even seen stars before until now. She loved looking at the bright lights in the sky and the shooting stars passing by.
"Wow, Nikki! Look at all these stars!" Pegatrix said with awe. "I know. They're so beautiful." Nikita said. "I could just stare at them all night." Pegatrix said. "Me too." Nikita said. "I wish Dan and the others could see them too."
Suddenly, they heard a silent cry a few feet away. They turned around to see Marucho sitting on the table all by himself. He was moping around and had tears coming out of his eyes. Nikita and Pegatrix felt sorry for him. Marucho had recently lost his Bakugan Preyas in a battle with Klaus, one of Masquerade's henchmen. Marucho and Preyas both decided to take on Klaus and his Bakugan Sirenoid, even though he was the number 2 brawler in the world. They refused help from the others as they were confident that they could defeat Klaus together. But he proved to be too strong for them and Preyas was lost in the process. Marucho was devastated and has been depressed about his loss ever since.
Nikita and Pegatrix went over to Marucho to try and comfort him. Marucho had his head down on his arms, so he didn't see them coming his way.
"Hello, Marucho." Nikita said. "Is everything alright?"
Marucho looked up to see Nikita worried about him. He knew that she wanted to cheer him up, but she didn't know how.
"Oh... hey." Marucho said, wiping his tears with his hand. "I'm fine, really."
But Nikita and Pegatrix knew better: they knew that Marucho wasn't alright. They knew he missed his friend Preyas very much, but what could they do about it? They both felt helpless over the situation with their friend. He was too devastated to even talk to them about his problem.
"We both know that's not true, Marucho. You miss Preyas don't you?" Nikita asked. "Yes! I miss Preyas so much!" Marucho cried out.
He began sobbing like crazy as Nikita and Pegatrix watched. They felt more sorry than ever for Marucho. They too missed Preyas very much as he was like family to them. To Pegatrix, he was like a brother. The others also felt sorry for Marucho as well. Dan felt that he should've helped Marucho fight Klaus and Drago blamed himself for not doing enough. Runo and Tigrerra felt sympathy for him and tried their best to cheer him up. Shun, Julie, and Alice also took pity on Marucho as well. The remaining Bakugan: Drago, Tigrerra, Skyress, Gorem, and Pegatrix mourned the loss of their friend. They couldn't imagine him being in the Doom Dimension all alone. They also worried about their own fates as they began practicing to become stronger.
"I miss him too." Pegatrix said. "Yeah. So do I. He always made me laugh." Nikita said. "We should've done more." Pegatrix said, mournfully. "We should've helped you defeat Klaus." Nikita said.
Marucho saw the guilt in their eyes. He saw how bad they felt for him. He knew that his friends were doing their best to help him get through his crisis. But deep down, they knew that their efforts were in vain. Marucho was feeling more and more saddened by the loss of his best friend. The others felt sorry for him, but there wasn't anything they could do about it. Once a Bakugan enters the Doom Dimension, they are never seen again. Marucho had to face the hard truth: Preyas was gone forever and he was never going to see him again.
"No! It wasn't your fault. It was mine." He said. "But Marucho…" Nikita said. "It's the truth! If I hadn't chosen to fight Klaus all by myself, Preyas would still be here." Marucho said.
He knew that Preyas was gone because of him. He had been so stupid believing that they could take on Klaus and Sirenoid without the others' assistance. Now because of him, Preyas was trapped in the Doom Dimension forever. If only Marucho had let Dan or one of his other friends help him. Why didn't he let any of the others join him in battling Klaus? Why did he have to battle him alone? Marucho felt so dumb thinking that he could defeat the 2nd best brawler by himself. What would Preyas think if he saw him now? He'd probably blame him for his fate, that's what.
"Hey. Don't blame yourself for this. It's not your fault." Nikita said. "Yes, it is! Because of me, Preyas is gone forever!" Marucho cried out. "No, it isn't! Preyas is gone because of Klaus." Nikita said. "No, he's gone because of Masquerade. If he hadn't recruited Klaus, then you wouldn't have battled him and Preyas would still be here with us." Pegatrix said.
But they knew that blaming each other or someone else won't bring back Preyas. There was a moment of silence in the air and a slight breeze kicked in. Nikita knew it was getting late and she had to get some sleep. She also knew that Marucho needed some sleep as well, even though she knew it wouldn't make him feel better.
"Well, it's getting late. We should probably get some rest." Nikita said. "Yeah. We need to get ready for more practice tomorrow." Pegatrix said. "You coming, Marucho?" Nikita asked. "I'll come in a bit. I just need some time alone." Marucho said. "You know we're here for you, right?" Nikita said, worryingly. "Yes. If you need anything, we can get it for you." Pegatrix said. "Thanks, guys." Marucho said.
Nikita and Pegatrix went back inside the helicarrier as Marucho looked up at the night sky.
"Are you out there, Preyas? Are you even still alive?" He wondered sadly.
