Hello BOTW fans, I hope you are all having a wonderful day, and I hope it's even better now that I'm updating this story and the good news is it will be as fun as the last time, I hope. anyway, leave a like review and all that good jazz

AOC side stories update: I won't do any of these until I finish the main plot for the story, as it might confuse people, and I don't want to be juggling timelines, so once I'm done here, we will get started.

"I can't believe I let you and Impa talked me into this," Link muttered

"Oh, so you do have a voice," Urbosa smiled, they pair wherein the middle of the desert their destination was Gerudo town "and here I thought you were mute" she smiled at him as he let out a grumble "oh, get over it" she smiled "I have to say, that outfit does look great on you" she has to hide her laughter as Link face turned bright red

"You will tell no one about this," Link muttered, "do you hear me, devil women."

"Oh Link," Urbosa tried to sound hurt, but her teasing nature slipped through, "why would I do such a horrible thing."

"I don't know," Link muttered, "this better work," he muttered. Why was he in this situation? You ask, well, the princess he was charged to protect had been making many trips to Gerudo Town. Not anything out of the ordinary; however, it had been going on for months. It ramped up a bit after Zelda had another outburst at Link, in which she said to stop following her. Now she was staying in Gerudo town due to the town's ban on men he couldn't follow, so he went to Urbosa with this problem, and she and later Impa had a plan. so now here he was stuck in a female Gerudo outfit that was blue in color so he could sneak into town so he could keep an eye on the princess from a distance "guess you could say I have trust issues."

"Really now," Urbosa asked. Link said nothing as he continued forward. "I must say, though, that outfit does look dashing on you," she teased. Link grumbled out something. She had gotten the outfit the previous day, and she would never forget Link's face when she showed it to him. Impa even started laughing, apparently. It was her idea as well. "Relax, Link," Urbosa told him. "I can agree with you that princess behavior is," she paused, "unethical, I'll say," seeing Gerudo in the distance, she smiled, "but you need to understand there is a lot on her plate, and the pressure is getting to her."

"I understand that," Link said, "it just," Link sighed "she acts like I'm not pressured either," he stated, "it's not just her that people are looking to," Link muttered. "I have people I care about, people that mean the world to me that are all counting on me to defeat an ancient evil."

"If you don't mind me asking the" Urbosa stopped looking down at him "what is your story, Link," she said

"Lady Urbosa" Link asked. His voice was quiet as if he remembered something dark "have you ever felt out of place," he asked. She looked at him.

"Among the Zora, among the Hylians," he sighed, "I'm a person who is still looking for a place to belong" he looked to the sky, "and every time I feel Like I find it feels that something tears it away from me" he whispered.

"Link," Urbosa started, but he stopped her.

"it's alright," he said, "besides my duty, leaves no place for my personal feelings."

"don't say that," Urbosa told him. Her voice was loud as she came to a stop in front of him, bending down to look him in the eyes "sure, we all have a duty, but that doesn't make how you feel any less important." she ruffled his head. 'there's more to this kid than I thought, I can see why many look up to him.' she thought as she started to continue to Gerudo Town.

"Oh, and from here on, can you call me Aryll," Link told her

"Aryll," Urbosa asked, "while I understand the need to go by another name, but why that name"

"When I was younger," Link started, "my mom often would talk about having a daughter, and she always said that if she did, she would name her Aryll" Link smiled "if I ever" he stopped, a solum look coming over his face

"You wanna talk about it," Urbosa asked. Link just shook his head. She smiled as "well, if anything, Aryll is a lovely name" she placed a hand on his back, smiling at him. As they approached the gate, she could see Link grow nervous

"Lady Urbosa," one of the guards spoke, "welcome back" she looked to the person next to her. She smiled

"And my, I see you brought a lovely young vai with you," she smiled. "Vasaaq," she smiled, "I do hope you enjoy your stay."

"Umm," Link couldn't help but smile. He knew this guard on the few times he had come with Impa hear before his assignment to the princess "Sarqso," he said

the guard smiled as he and Urbosa passed, but as he passed, he noticed her give him a wink meaning that A she most likely saw through the disguise and B she wouldn't tell anyone

Link was impressed; he was possibly the first male ever to enter Gerudo Town in a few thousand years. And it was a sight to behold people walking from the shop's food store's home, and on top was where Urbosa would stay. Link noticed the jewelry shop. His urge to explore struck him fast, but he needed to focus.

"Well," Urbosa asked, "what do you think."

"it's a nice place," Link told her. "Never thought I'd end up in here."

"Not many Voe have this opportunity," Urbosa teased, "so try not to abuse it."

"I promise I won't." he smiled as he walked through the town, people waving to her. She would smile as the little children would run through the street. he had to admit Gerudo town was an excellent place to be

"Come on, Link," Urbosa, "we can head to where we train," she said "they might have an idea what the princess is doing" they made their way through the town soon Link was in the small training meant for members of the Gerudo guards they all looked and greeted Urbosa as many looked towards him.

"Now," Urbosa asked, "Have any of you seen the little bird? I know she came here yesterday," Urbosa asked.

"No, lady Urbosa" the captain answered the previous day. Urbosa had informed them that she would be bringing the Hylian knight that was supposed to watch over the princess into the town. but they weren't expecting her to force him to put on vai clothes, but they would have to admit that was clever

'She probably went to the divine beast.' Urbosa said she looked at Link a part of her felt bad for having Link come all the way here she was impressed with how easily he put aside his pride "well, we need to find her" she looked at Link smiled, "Aryll," she said, "while they do that, you and I go around town" she smiled "there are some things I want to ask you."

"Aryll," the captain asked, "that is a lovely name."

"Yes, it is," another said

ignoring this, Link nodded as he started to leave. He decided to place the master sword with some other weapons 'wait here,' he said to himself as he got a look from Urbosa, "if I'm seen with it, people might realize who I am," he said as he started leaving Urbosa going to see if Zelda was at the Divine beast.

The town was bustling. Link had no idea where to start. People would often greet him, and he would give a small smile while trying to avoid as little contact as possible though a few would come and make small talk. As he was getting nowhere, Link stopped. He looked up to see a small Jewelry store in front of him "maybe I could," he went inside, looking around. He remembered when he got the necklace for Mipha. He knew she enjoyed Sapphires so he could get something similar.

"Well, what a lovely vai we have," someone said. She smiled as he approached one of the displays "can I help you with anything."

"Umm," Link spoke, making his best female impression. Apparently, it was enough "just browsing."

"Oh," she said, "looking for anything. something that will make the Voe's jaws hit the ground."

"Oh, it's not for me," Link muttered, "it's for a friend."

"Oh, so a gift for a friend," she asked.

"Yes," he looked away, "I'm thinking of getting her a small bracelet." he said, "would that work."

"I'm sure she will love it" Link pulled out some rupees along with some flint. "Oh no, please, I have all the materials I need to make sure it's perfect. Please sit back and wait, and I'll have it out for you in a second" she smiled at him as she left. Link looked around. 'Maybe I should get Kiana something too," Link thought to himself as he looked around the store "does she even like jewelry" he added, he had never seen the women wear any, but she was always in her armor.

Soon the person behind the counter came back holding a beautiful piece of jewelry "thank you," Link said as he took it, smiling at her as he looked back at the bracelet. He smiled once all this fighting. Once the Calamity was gone, he could give it to her. he smiled. The thought of spending time with his best friend eased all his nerves.

" I wonder if Urbosa found Zelda yet."

Zelda paced around the interior of the Divine beast. Her purpose for being here she didn't know. She just really needed to get away from the stress, the burden, and him, yes, him, the Hylian champion who she had come to know as Link. 'Champion is putting it lightly.' it was the eyes and so quiet she has no idea what he's thinking 'there no doubt he's looking down on me,' she frowned.

"You know, little bird," a voice called, making the young princess jump. As she turned around, she was faced Urbosa, giving her a smile "running off in the desert is dangerous," she said

"I know," Zelda said, looking away. "I just wanted to get some research in," she said

"Well, why don't we take a break," she said, sitting down patting the area next to her Zelda complied as she went to sit down "so how are things going," she asked, "you and your little knight friend getting along."

Zelda let out a huff. as Urbosa chuckled, "something wrong."

"he's a creep," Zelda said, "watching me at every turn no matter where I go. He's there."

"he's your personal guard," Urbosa said, "he's just doing his job."

"that's not what I meant," Zelda told her. "He's just so," Zelda stopped "he's so quiet," she said, "always looking at me, and I have no idea what he's thinking," Zelda sighed, " everything he does seems to go his way. and he probably has little repercussion for his actions."

Urbosa sat there. She figured she would let Zelda rant for right now. then, maybe she could try to bridge the gap between them. "And it's not without effort either. I mean, it's like every time he touches something, it works out for him, in the end, cause well why no" Zelda finished looking into the distance the sun slowly starting to set on the horizon "perfect parents, perfect life a good tutor."

"Has he told you that," Urbosa asked

"No," Zelda admitted

"So how do you know all this" Urbosa asked "

"Mostly what others have told me," Zelda said, "many of the knights talk about it."

Urbosa had to admit she had also heard a few of the knights talk about how easily he got through training his parents, whom she personally never seen, only the women known as Kiana. and when asked, both seem to get this solum look on their face before dodging the question, "well, how can you say it true" she asked, "if it's nothing more than rumor."

"But it's not," Zelda told her. "Well, I believe it," she said, hugging her knees, "when he was knighted, a few Zora had come to greet him and congratulate him," Zelda said, "if was lucky enough to be raised in Zora's domain, he has to be important."

"Ah yes, I remember that," Urbosa said "how did he come to live in Zora's Domain," Urbosa asked.

"I don't know," Zelda said, "but" she stopped " he seems to have his life figured out," Zelda said

"So that's the issue," Urbosa asked, thinking back to her conversation with Link how the boy, while he managed to conceal it, seemed to have his own turmoil that he keeps behind the calm face he has one that would take work to crack through she was pulled out of her thoughts when she felt Zelda lean against her.

"a while back," Zelda said, "I shouted at him," she said "it wasn't the first time," she sighed, "but he looked so confused, my research was getting nowhere, and when he showed up, I just let it all out at him."

"Little bird," Urbosa smiled, "I'm sure that things will work out" she stopped when she felt Zelda breathing slowly. She looked seeing that the princess had finally fallen asleep soon she had summoned her guards, telling them to bring Link to her. she had to admit he had arrived faster than she thought he would

Zelda ran as fast as she could. Behind her were several Yiga clan members, traitors to the crown and servant of Gannon, and right now, she was their target. She had awakened earlier, and again he was there sitting across the room. Hence, she snuck out; she needed to get away from Link. She probably should have asked one of the guards to accompany her. She ran as quickly as possible, but she could hear them that creepy laugh. She came to a stop as they surrounded her, making her fall to the ground.

She could feel him approach her as he raised his weapon

"Hyah" a voice screamed. She saw the man fall to the ground looking up; she saw Link standing before her. He looked back to see if she was okay before turning back to face the Yiga.

And in a flash, he started to face them, his blade dancing across as each tried and failed to match him. Link ducked and dodged around as if he had been in this battle a hundred times. Zelda was impressed. She could see why he was hailed. Link seemed to be aware of everything that was going around him.

Link blocking one Link kicked him into his friends as they stood up Link tuned placing the master sword back in his sheath. The battle was clearly one as to get to her. They would have to cross him. he turned around; a look of anger flashed across his face. "Because we are in her grace's presence," he spoke, his voice was cold, all most unmoving. "I will allow you to leave this battle with your lives" the Yiga started to get up, debating if they should continue "now leave before I change my mind," the yiga started to limp away.

'I've never heard him speak before,' Zelda thought to herself as he walked up to her. He held out a hand she hesitated. 'I've been horrible to him,' she thought to herself, and yet he saved me' she scolded herself 'without a second thought' she reached up and took his hand as he helped her to her feet.

"Princess," a voice called. She turned to see Urbosa running up to her "are you alright," she asked. She could see the worry in her eyes. The fear in her voice as she whispered her name. she could only nod words at the moment escaped her as she felt Urbosa pulled her in, feeling her embrace. Zelda could only wonder one thing.

'How much do I know about my personal knight.'

It was many hours later Urbosa had sent her and Link back to Hyrule castle, seeing as it was the safest place for her at the moment, so she had personally seen that she had made it back. She tried to argue, but even Link agreed with Urbosa surprising her, so she found herself with a half escort back to Hyrule castle. Her father, much like Urbosa, had given her a lecture on how dangerous it was to travel alone. She could only nod in agreement. but none of those matters now it was the sun had just recently set the cool night air breezed past her hair as she approached the place where Link was said to live 'a small apartment' Zelda thought to herself it was in the barracks many of the knights typically had homes outside of castle town or personal house, but here he was the Hylian champion staying in a small apartment slowly she knocked on the door

"One second," a feminine voice called Zelda admitted she was confused about who was here with Link. Then, finally, the door opened, revealing the last person she expected to see, the knight Kiana she had come to know was Links mentor. Kiana turned "princess," she said she was in a black shirt and Hylian trousers on. Her hair was down. It was clear she wasn't expecting any guests.

"Um, hello," Zelda admitted this was a little awkward "umm does Link stay here," she asked. 'it, makes sense though' Zelda thought to herself from what I hear he's only a year or two older than me

"Yes," Kiana moved to the side, "please come in" Zelda came in to find the place Link and apparently Kiana called home a small couch sat in the middle, a table sat in the front, the faint smell of food coming from the kitchen a small hallway leading to three-rooms "please take a seat."

"Umm, thank you," Zelda said

"Link is in the restroom right now," Kiana told her. "He should be out in a minute, he" Kiana stopped "never mind, can I get you anything."

"No, that is quite all right," Zelda said as Kian went into the kitchen to continue cooking as she looked around. she noticed a few and a book on the ground "actually, umm Kiana, is it."

"Yes, princess," Kiana answered

"How often does Link stay here."

"We got this apartment," Kiana stopped looking over the pit she was cooking, "I think we got this a year after he became a knight."

"I see," Zelda answered before she could elaborate. The door opened she caught a glimpse of Link. He was wearing a blue shirt with a lobster in the center and pants. He looked overseeing her. He quickly bowed before walking into his room. She assumed to dump his dirty clothes before he came out again.

"Umm, Link," Zelda said, "I just stopped by to say thank you," she said, "for what you did today," she said,

"it's no problem." Link told her she could hear the nervousness in his voice, "just doing my duty, princess."

"Yes," Zelda muttered, "and I think you for that."

he smiled at her "anytime," he said, "I promise until I'm told. Otherwise, I will be in your servitude" Zelda couldn't help but smile as Link started to walk away "would you like to join us for dinner

Zelda wanted to say no, she should get back to the castle, but another part of her shot that down 'maybe I should try to get to know him that the food that was being smelled really good. She smiled "yes, that does sound lovely."

and that was the start of the bond between Link and Zelda. Now I'm going to avoid going into most of the memories from the breath of the wild story. But this one ended up here because it's an essential part of developing Zelda and Links' relationship that and I needed to introduce the Yiga clan

next chapter. We finally will get all the champions in one place, a chapter I wanted to do for a while, so see you then
