Chapter 6: What's up, Iida?
In the days following the battle trials, everyone was settling into life at UA. If the kids were being perfectly honest, not much of their daily lives had really changed all that much. Well, some things were different for others…
Izuku walked into the local convenience store of the neighborhood to get some small groceries. The woman behind the register was a middle aged woman named Mrs. Chin.
"Evening, Izuku." The woman greeted the regular of her store.
"Hey Mrs. C." The boy said.
"Evening Venom." The woman said to the symbiote. The creature waved a tendril in response.
"What-ho Mrs. Chin!" He called.
"He says hey." Izuku said. The woman had learned of Venom's existence after the duo had stopped a local gang member from extorting her. How did the idiot stop? Simple: He was thrown out of the store.
Literally.
The two started getting the things they needed and were about to get the chocolate they needed, but found that the shelves were empty.
"Huh? Hey Mrs. C, where'd all the chocolate go?" The green bean asked in confusion.
"The shipment hasn't gotten here yet. There should be some white chocolate in stock, though." She called back. Venom's Avatar appeared on the boy's shoulder as he looked at the white chocolate for a second. It was made of pure cocoa butter and wasn't like the chocolate it was used to, but still. Chocolate is chocolate.

"Your two favorites in one bundle." Izuku chuckled as he got some off the shelves. His mind then wandered off slightly as he contemplated who else in his class would be worthy of receiving one of his symbiote children. Momo seemed like an ideal candidate, and so did Iida.
These mullings continued to rattle around in his head as he went home, and stopped when he entered his house. The boy then put the groceries in the kitchen and went up to his and Inko's shared room, where he saw the green haired MILF naked and on all fours on the floor, with Submission in its humanoid form standing in front of her and holding a leash in its hand that was attached to Inko's collar. Additionally the woman also had a blindfold on.

"OW!" Bakugo yelled as he pulled his finger out of the mouth of a very angry Dynamight, the small gold, green, orange and black avatar of the symbiote squinting its little tangerine lined white eyes at the boy as it let out a small snarl. "I was trying to feed you goddammit!" He snapped.
"Looks like Dynamight and Bakugo are getting along swimmingly." Venom muttered sarcastically.
"I can see that." Izuku muttered back with slightly narrowed eyes. 'He better not be doing anything stupid with Dynamight at home.' He thought.
It was at this point that Aizawa entered the room. "Alright everyone, quiet down. I went over the combat footage of all your matches and I'm pleased. Midoriya, good use of everything at your disposal to win instead of just brute force and breaking your bones. Glad to see that you're learning. Though I'm still unsure about your quirk splitting off like it did." He said before turning to Bakugo. "Bakugo, you're talented and it looks like both you and Uraraka will most likely have more to do in terms of growth with these symbiotes. So don't sulk like a child because of your loss, use it as a learning experience." He told the boy.
"Whatever." The boy scoffed as he tried to ignore the glare he could feel Izuku giving him. He subtly slipped Dynamight a piece of chocolate covered beef jerky, which the creature ate without so much as a complaint, a pleased smile on its slimy face.
"Anyway, today will decide the course of your future." The man said, causing everyone to tense.
'Is it another quirk assessment test?' The class thought in worry.
"You need to pick a class representative." He told them flatly.
'Oh. Just normal school stuff.' The class thought in relief… Right before the majority of them erupted into chatter that made Venom and the other symbiotes uncomfortable due to the volume.
Everyone who wanted to be the class rep started calling for themselves to be picked, until Iida spoke up. "This should not be decided frivolously. I believe that the best way to decide this matter is democratically." He told them, though his posture conveyed that he wanted to be picked.
'This is gonna go one way.' Izuku thought flatly.
(A few minutes later)
The voting soon ended and the results revealed that Izuku and Momo were the ones who were picked. After that, the kids all went to lunch, where Izuku was quick to voice his concerns about being the class rep.
"I'm not sure if I'm up for this, guys." He told his friends.
"What makes you say that?" Ochako asked as she ate her rice.
"Well, Venom and I share a like mind but we're completely different." The boy said, looking at his symbiote's Avatar on his shoulder as he fed it a piece of egg. "It's not that I don't think we can keep our cool, it's just that I think we'd end up making things become pure chaos." He added, the little Chibi blob on his shoulder giving him a sharp, squinted glare.
"I can see why you're concerned; you believe you'll create more problems than you'd solve." Iida nodded. "However I personally believe that you would do fine. Your strength and ability to think under pressure will surely do you well. That's why I voted for you at least."
"Wait, you were one of the three?" Izuku asked.
"I thought you wanted the role really badly. I mean you do look the part, because of the glasses." Ochako notes, getting an odd look from Scorn's Chibi avatar which was perched on her head. "What?" She asked, feeling Scorn's gaze.
"Wanting a position and being qualified for it are two different things." Iida stated. "Observing the Iida family's hero agency has taught me that much." He added.
"Agency?" The two questioned, causing the boy to tense up as if he had said too much.
"My apologies. I decided not to say anything to avoid being treated differently." He said as he felt their stares on him.
"That must mean you're filthy rich!" Uraraka grinned. Deciding to just go with it, Iida chose to bring up something related.
"Are either of you familiar with the Turbo Hero, Ingenium?" He asked, getting a pair of nods in return.
"Yeah. He's got an agency with sixty five sidekicks working under him." Izuku stated before realizing. "Don't tell me…" He said.
"He's my elder brother!" Iida stated proudly.
"Huh. Fancy that." Venom mused.
"Your family's famous!" The two exclaimed.
"Yes. Ingenium is an unmatched commander who honors the hero code. As the youngest in the Iida family, I aspire to be just like him." The bespectacled boy stated.
The two were surprised not by the boy's words, but by the smile he sported. It was a rare sight on the usually strict Iida. "That's the first time I ever saw you smile, Tenya, you should do it more often." Ochako said.
"What are you talking about? I smile all the time." The boy retorted.
"Not from what we've seen." Scorn quipped. The speedster gave the symbiote a small glare before he looked at Izuku.
"There's also something I've been wondering about your quirk. Does it change quirks in a beneficial way?" He asked curiously.
"From what I've been able to gather, symbiotes take on the attributes of their hosts at a biological level and enhance them well beyond what would be considered that host's physical limits." The boy said, looking at his notebook. "This includes speed, strength, healing, reflexes, etc. and if my hypothesis is correct, they can also copy the powers of other people they latch onto if allowed long enough." He added. "So to answer your question… I'd say yes."
"Hm… interesting indeed." The blue haired teen nodded. It was at this point that an alarm went off. "What?! What's going on?" Iida questioned.
"It's a level three security breach, it means someone's managed to get onto the school campus." A third year said as Izuku, Bakugo, and Ochako clutched their heads as their symbiotes shared their agony with them from the sound of the alarms.
"DAMMIT, THAT FUCKING HURTS!" Bakugo yelled as he gritted his teeth while he and the others were pushed around in the crowd. Izuku jumped onto the ceiling to try and get some breathing room.
As Iida was trying to do the same, he saw that the source of the breach was the press from outside. However he couldn't get his findings to anyone else due to the mob. Then he saw Izuku and got an idea.
"Midoriya! Have Venom use his tentacles to get me above the door!" He called.
"On it!" The green haired teen called back as one of said appendages grabbed the speedster so he could carry him to the doorway. Once there, Venom placed the boy on the pipes above the exit.
"LISTEN UP! EVERYTHING IS OKAY!" Iida yelled from his spot on the exit sign. This caused everyone to stop and look at him. "It's just the press outside. There's nothing to worry about. Everything is fine! We're UA students, we need to remain calm and prove that we're the best of the best!"
Everyone looked outside and finally took notice of the press before they calmed down. Venom, Dynamight and Scorn silently thanked Iida for taking initiative.
(Later)
Once the kids were back in class, Izuku took a deep breath and decided to tell everyone that he was giving his role as class rep to someone else. And he knew just who to give it to.
"Alright. In light of recent events, I've decided to turn over Class Representative duties to Iida." Izuku stated, getting surprised looks in return. "He was able to calm everyone down earlier. So I think he has a better chance at leading us than I would." He added.
Everyone seemed to look at each other and talk amongst themselves in agreement with the idea. Especially given how the boy had taken charge earlier that day.
"Thank you, Midoriya." Iida smiled.
(The next day)
It was homeroom the next day and everyone was waiting for Hero basic training to start. "Alright everyone. Today you'll be having three teachers today. There's me, All Might and another Faculty member." Aizawa told them.
"And what type of practice are we having today?" Momo asked.
"Rescue training. You'll mainly be dealing with how to save people in natural disasters. Fires, floods, rockslides, stuff like that." Their teacher replied. "Now, we'll be going to an off campus facility, so you'll be taking a bus to get there." He continued.
"This should be fun." Venom whispered to Izuku with a grin, getting a nod in return. With that done, everyone then started moving towards the bus after getting changed into their costumes. Iida tried to get everyone in straight lines, but the open layout of the bus ruined that strategy.
"Ya know Iida, you really have to chill." Mina said as the boy despaired about the failure of said strategy.
"If we're pointing out the obvious, then there's something I'd like to say." Tsu said as she turned to Izuku.
"What's up?" The green haired host asked.
"That power move you used, isn't it a lot like All Might's?" The girl asked. This caused Izuku and the symbiotes to go rigid, fearing that they were found out.
"Hang on Tsu." Toshinori chimed in. He had been sick the day of the break in so he had to be filled in about what all had happened. Needless to say he was glad he didn't have to deal with that. "You're forgetting that All Might doesn't hurt himself, that makes a big difference." He added. This made Izuku and his kids silently sigh in relief.
"I kinda wish mine was a bit flashier. All I can do is harden myself." Kirishima said as he hardened his hands. "I mean it's powerful and can destroy bad guys in a fight, but it's not all that flashy."
"Not at all, I think it's a very useful quirk." Izuku told him.
"Really? Seems like it'd be easier if I had something flashy." Kirishima said. "But you wanna know who has real pro quirks, it's Todoroki and Bakugo." He added.
"My naval laser has the perfect combination of pinash and strength." Aoyama said.
"But it's way lame if it gives you a stomach ache, sweetie." Mina told him.
"That is true." Tsu nodded. "Not sure Bakugo's gonna be all that popular, though." She added.
"What did you say?! I'll kick your ass!" Bakugo yelled as Dynamight went spiky like a sea urchin and glared at her, the two having the same expressions.
"See?" The frog girl gestured to the angry Pomeranian and his partner.
"Yeah, I can see what you mean. It's only been a few days and we can already tell that Bakugo's personality is flaming crap mixed with garbage." Kaminari chuckled. "It's even worse that he's basically teaching a baby the same bad attitude." He added, pointing at the said impressionable two week old symbiote.
"We'll make you regret choosing the hero course!" Bakugo yelled, he and his partner glaring at him.
'Kacchan getting teased? Best day ever!' Izuku laughed mentally. A few minutes later, they arrived at a building and were met by a woman in an astronaut suit who was standing at the doorway. This was the Space hero: Thirteen.
"Space Hero Thirteen? Awesome!" The green haired teen said with a grin while Ochako had stars in her eyes along with Scorn.
"Hello everyone. Welcome to rescue training." Thirteen said with a bow. "Please follow me." She gestured as she walked in, revealing that the building inside was full of different disaster zones. "Welcome to the unforeseen simulation joint, or USJ. Here you'll be learning how to conduct rescue operations by using your quirks." The woman told them.
"Just like you do with yours?" The gravity girl asked giddily.
"Exactly. But before we begin I have one thing to say… or possibly two, or three, four or five…" Thirteen said, starting to ramble.
"Get on with it!" Aizawa snapped, causing the woman to cough slightly as she regained her composure.
"Most of you may already be aware that I have a powerful quirk. It's called Black Hole." The woman told them.
"Yeah, you've used it to save a lot of people." Toshinori noted.
"Yes, but it could also very easily be used to kill." She nodded. "Similarly you all have quirks that could also be dangerous. In our society quirks are highly regulated. So it can be easy to forget just how harmful they can be." Thirteen continued. It was then that Izuku decided to speak up.
"Believe me I'm well aware." The boy said, getting everyone's attention. "Back when my quirk first gained sentience, I was attacked by a guy who ran me over to try and mug me. My symbiote Venom quickly healed me and took control of my body before he grabbed the guy and started listing off the things he was about to eat on the guy." He continued. "Then we were shot in the back by the guy's partner and Venom literally bit his head off." He added. "As it turns out it was because he feeds off of a chemical found in brain matter and chocolate, but it was still terrifying." He concluded.
Everyone shivered at his story. 'Feeding Dynamight/Scorn chocolate makes so much sense now.' Bakugo and Ochako thought as one.
"Then you know just how important making sure you keep your partner in check, don't you Midoriya." Thirteen said.
"Yeah." The boy nodded before the kids took notice of something that appeared in the distance behind their teachers.
"Hey, what's that?" Kirishima said as he pointed at the fountain, getting everyone's attention. As the two heroes turned around, they saw a portal behind them and several people of all shapes and sizes walking out of it. And they did not look friendly.
"Everyone, stay back!" The erasure hero baked at his students as he put on his goggles. "Those are real villains!" He growled as he got ready to fight.
The kids all looked on at the people walking towards them… and pure evil stared right back.
