"I really miss that feeling, but if I waited for that feeling every time, it'd be 2022 by the time this story got to 10k words."

- Me, 2020

I really have no excuse for this taking so long. I could go on about how sorry I am that I've essentially been on hiatus for 2 years and then some but it really wouldn't make up for it and I know some people are somehow still excited for this chapter. So, without further ado: I DO NOT OWN HARRY POTTER OR THE GAMER BOTH ARE OWNED BY WARNER BROS. AND WEBTOON RESPECTIVELY.

The Next Day

After making the Dursleys their breakfast and finishing his chores (getting another level in gardening in the process) Harry went outside for a walk to avoid his relatives. As he was walking around Little Whinging, Harry noticed something odd. One of the windows on one of the houses was glowing! Realizing that this was probably part of his new powers he decided to just go with it and cautiously walked towards the window, making sure that no one was watching him. As he approached the house, he realized that it belonged to none other than Arabella Figg, the weird old cat lady who took care of him anytime the Dursleys couldn't find anyone else to take care of him. As he peered through the window, he saw Ms. Figg sitting on her chair petting one of her many cats while the rest of them were surrounding her, waiting for their turn.

'What's so important about Ms. Figg petting her cats that would make my power bring me here?' thought Harry. He soon got his answer as Ms. Figg stood up and walked over to the coffee table in front of her fireplace and reached out towards a bowl on the table.

She took a pinch of a mysterious green powder which she then threw into the fire, as she did so the fire went from a normal reddish orange to deep emerald.

Then she called out in a loud and clear voice, "Albus Dumbledore!" Moments later a floating head appeared in the flames. The floating head looked very old with a wrinkled face, a long magnificent white beard, and a pair of semi-circle glasses resting on a large, crooked, nose. 'Who is this guy? And why is his head floating in Ms. Figg's fireplace?'.

"Hello Arabella, how have you been?" said the large floating head.

"Hello Albus, I've been doing okay, thank you for asking. But I called because I needed some cat treats from the Menagerie in Diagon Alley."

"Okay Arabella, I'll have an order member go pick it up and bring it by Floo."

'Floo? What's that? I wonder if it has anything to do with that weird powder Ms. Figg threw in her fireplace?'. Deciding to test out his theory, he waited until Ms. Figg had left the room to go do something else and he quietly inched open the window and climbed into the house. Holding a finger up to his mouth he tried to keep the cats quiet as he carefully tiptoed across the living room, making his way to the coffee table. He picked up a small handful of the green powder as he'd seen Ms. Figg do earlier and tossed it into fireplace. Just like before, the flames changed from red to a mesmerizing green.

'It worked! It wasn't just me going crazy,' thought Harry.

Realizing that he just broke into someone's house, Harry decided to clean up any trace of him being there and slipping back out the window.

"Okay, okay, this was here, that rug was there, and this scratching post was turned diagonally." Harry muttered to himself not noticing the fire throb as he talked to himself.

As he walked backwards towards the window, he didn't notice the cat toy behind him and stepped on it. A loud squeeeeeeeeak broke out and suddenly every cat in the house had turned their heads and locked on to Harry. The poor boy, fearing for his life slowly backed up as the cats cornered him back to the fireplace when suddenly his foot got caught on an uneven section of the rug and he fell backwards into the still-emerald flames.

'Welp, I guess this is how it ends. A bunch of cats and a fireplace are what do me in.' were his last thought's as he fell into the green fiery abyss.

As Harry fell into the green flames, Ms. Figg returned to her living room with cat treats in hand. "Hmmm, something feels off", she said to herself. "Must be my imagination, I really should be more careful when giving cat nip to my babies." she muttered as she went back to the kitchen to make herself some tea to clear her mind.

Just as Harry thought he was about to die, he was overcome by the most nauseating sensation and was spat out face first onto some cobble stone. Cleaning the soot from his glasses so he could see properly, he looked behind him and saw a fireplace different from the one in Ms. Figg's house. Turning around he surveyed his surroundings and realized he must be in a pub of sorts. There were booths and tables filled with people in weird robes, some seedy individuals, and plates of delicious looking food. "Are you alright there lad?" asked someone as they came to help him up.

Once Harry got to his feet, he turned to the person who helped him up, "Yes, I am. Thank you Mr.?"

"No need for all that mister business boy. The name's Tom and I'm the owner here of the Leaky Cauldron." he said with an outstretched hand.

"Well thank you for the help Tom, I thought I was going to die. My name's Harry," he said while shaking Tom's hand.

"Don't mention it, Harry. You look like you're about Hogwarts age, do you have your wand yet?" Tom queried.

"My...wand?" Harry repeated confused.

"Hmm guess not, alright then don't worry I'll open up the gate to Diagon Alley for you then." Tom said as he made his way to the back of the pub beckoning for Harry to follow him.

'Diagon Alley? Isn't that the place Ms. Figg mentioned to that floating head in her fireplace? Albus Dummlewhatever?' Harry thought as he followed Tom through the back door of the pub and saw him pull out a stick from his pocket.

Before he could ask what Tom was going to do with the stick, Tom looked at Harry and said, "Now remember this Harry, whenever you need to make it to Diagon Alley through the Leaky Cauldron just take out your wand and tap the right brick on the wall. Just look at the rubbish bin, go up 3, and 2 across."

After tracing the path with the stick, he tapped the brick and suddenly the entire wall began to shift as every brick rotated and moved until the brick wall opened up into a doorway leading to a large bustling center of activity. Harry was awed at the sight in front of him: hundreds of people in rather odd clothing moving in and out of different buildings. 'Ollivander's Wands, Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlor, Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions, Magical Menagerie, who names these places?' Harry thought to himself.

"Alright then Harry I need to get back to managing the pub, but I recommend you go to Gringotts to get some money before you do any shopping," Tom said as he made his way back to the Leaky Cauldron.

Harry's dumbfounded staring was interrupted by a screen in front of him.

Thank you for reading to the end of this chapter I hope you enjoyed it. I know it's been a while since a new chapter has dropped and again, I'm extremely sorry for nearly forgetting about this story but thankfully this new motivation is here to stay. From now on I'll be writing new chapters and hopefully finding a good flow until the end of book 1 where I'll have to take a quick hiatus to go and edit these early chapters into something hopefully intelligible and even more enjoyable for future readers. Thank you to everyone who has left reviews and shared the story. Until next time (which hopefully won't be another 2 years away).
