Slightly Adjusted February 2022
In this world, whether we like it or not, some Pokemon can't keep their promises. It's not the end of the world if they don't, either; Mystery Dungeons will still form, and the world's balance will eventually be rebuilt. Well...not without some cooperation between Pokemon. Again, to make life easier, it would be best if all promises were kept...especially a Keeper's.

Somewhere deep in the human world, in the Unova Region, there is a wonderful nature trail with a view of a mighty river. For some reason, no Pokemon or Pokemon Trainers were allowed or rather able to step foot onto the area. Thus it was rather secluded.
Very few adventurers travel out to this secluded site. This is because to reach this spot one has to hike through an extremely dangerous forest. Those who haven't been a Pokemon Trainer weren't those who usually traveled the out beat path either. The maze of pine trees is attached to a rough mountainside, so it was best to be cautious. Many were not properly equipped to climb through the jagged stones and ended up hurt.
At the top of the hill, there was a rustic old stone platform where a person was standing alone. The person was a built young adult with reddish tan skin and jet black hair. It was a chilly day, so the youth was sporting a dark grey jacket with bright yellow stripes. They had on light grey shorts, they had black calf-length socks, and wore grey-yellow shoes.
While they admired the distant cloudy skyline and freshwater breeze the person couldn't help from feeling uneasy. The wind was slowly picking up and they were far away from any sort of building.
Their spiky hair bounced with every descending step the youth took off the ground, the cold air beginning to circle the bend. They decided it would be best to go to one of the pavilions, eat a small snack, then head down the trail and back home.
Before raindrops fell the hiker had made it back near a rest pavilion and was able to catch their breath. As they stood there, their feet felt unusually warm. The black-haired youth looked down and noticed a faint light coming from their ankles. "Huh, I'm glowing? There shouldn't be any Pokemon who do that around here," they said in their soft, rather higher-pitched voice.
The light started to overtake different parts of their body, causing them to look around frantically. Soon the young adult had thrown off their jacket and took a glance under their shirt to find out that their skin had the source.
"What, why is this happening?" they asked out loud. But the light continued to cover their entire body. "Okay, what in the world is going on?!"
Then as soon as the overwhelming shine became a ray that blinded the youth heard something. A voice from all around their surroundings. "Do not be afraid, my child, we have found a purpose for you in another world," a mysterious force sparkled in the air, filling the silence. "The transformation will only take a minute, then you will end up where you need to be."
The person wanted to shake their head and cry out but they found out that their throat felt like it was clamped shut. "What in the distortion world is going on?" they started to think. My purpose or some nonsense, what type of role would I have somewhere else? Why?
"You will make a promise to those in need, each time without fail you will keep it. I will check in with you later on my child," the foreign voice tried to make it clear before they tapered off.
"Later?! What the hell is that supposed to mean?" the person thought. When the whole ordeal had come to an end all that remained was smoke. The youth had been taken from this world and was whisked away into one they weren't quite familiar with.
Floating off the eastern shore of the Grass-Continent of the Terrestrial Hemisphere there was a heavily fortified fortress. Deep inside the chambers numerous Pokemon work.
"It is time," Cresselia suddenly declared aloud.
"Really now?" Darkrai asked, blinking their eyes as they turn around.
"The Mjolnir has been separated for quite some time now," Cresselia explained, mulling further over a large clear stone.
"What about the Dawn Stone?" Darkrai folded their arms.
"They have been united for the past fourteen days," Cresselia sighed.
"Nice," Darkrai smiled the best they can.
"What about the other group?" Cresselia pondered. "Doesn't the Mjolnir need to have the hammer reforged?"
"The lightning that will be embedded inside will fuel the flames of change and their bond will be tested time and time again," Darkrai asserted.
"I see," Cresselia said. "Follow the accordance of the dream marks you sent to the ones already here."
Darkrai held up a thin slab of pearlescent material and swiped upward. "The strength of the voltage will seem weak at first but then the current will realize its true power spirals within."
"Hmm, the scratched surface of the hammer is worrying," Cresselia tilted their head. "Also, the key-shaped hole needs to be filled or else it will overflow with mana."
"The lightning will also have a fragment that needs to be aligned," Darkrai scrolled to another page. "Only, it will be less visible until the moment is right."
"Ah, this is enough preparation," Cresselia floated back to her station. "Let us send a human to be this Pokemon."
"Let me find the right candidate," Darkrai offered.
"Very well," Cresselia used some psychic energy to lift some papers off their desk.
"But do remember the Fangs of the Fallen and the other Sentinels that are destined to assist in the balance as well," Darkrai picked up one of the sheets from the stack.
"They don't need our guidance," Cresselia waved one of their big arms. "Those Pokemon will be right where they belong."
"Ah, understood," Darkrai phased back into the next room.
Ah. I am not who I used to be. Something extreme within my new being barreled into me. Damn, it felt like a bolt of lightning struck me! This is fucking unbearable!
Woah. I felt something strange run haywire throughout my nerves. Now it's so sensitive and tingly. Agh! The pressure is gonna drive me to the brink of insanity! It's too much!
What the hell is this? My limbs ache, feel tense, and are sore simultaneously. All the muscles and tendons in my body act like they are being squeezed and compressed tight enough to shrink.
The pain came to a stop and my body relaxed during these moments of relief. But why did this happen? My nose feels strange as it takes in some smells and scents. It's easy to tell I wasn't in my home anymore. For one, it's not raining, and the air doesn't hint that it has recently. I can't smell rain. Not anymore.
My whole body felt tense as it was a locked spring. The skin on my face began to feel like it was burning, then the sensation spread down to my chest, and soon all my torso ignited in irritation. It painfully pulsed its way through my shoulders. Then forearms, and hands. Finally, the bursts of agony traveled in my abdomen, it violently flared up down at my groin. Then settled down whilst the jolts maneuvered through my thighs and legs.
The pangs I had bravely endeavored ended. After all, I felt soft and fluffy. like my neighbor's Pokemon. But why would my skin be covered in enough hair to be like fur? What is going on?
Hmm. I finally opened my eyes to see a strange smoke floating above me. Thankfully the thick fumes lifted with every passing moment. My surroundings were a forest. Like where I was earlier, how fitting. I was laying on my stomach, which felt different. Where am I?
In a field of fresh grass. Underneath the shade of some strange trees. Once again I felt weird like my knees were hugging my chest. As if they were placed somewhere else. Strange.
"Okay, I should probably get off the floor," I reminded myself out loud in a somewhat different voice, it was much deeper than normal. My mouth and nose felt strange and felt odd as if they were farther away than normal. I ran my tongue around my teeth. They are all thin. Like I had way fewer molars and smaller canines.
Eh, whatever. I probably just need to drink some water. I glanced down to see two vibrant, plush yellow objects in front of me. Are these pillows or something? To get off the ground and take a better look at them I moved my arms.
The fuck? "These things are attached to me, what am I?!" All sorts of thoughts flashed into my mind when I stood up, then I felt a tang. It feels like my foot is standing on my back. Do I, do I have a tail? "What the?"
I look down to see my foot, which is now a three-toed foot, no, a paw on top of a large rectangle of another limb. Is it coming from between my legs? "Oh," I gasp. "That's different," I place my hands, no wait, my paws through my fur, and feel something very interesting. It wasn't my tail. I tried to reach further before I realized something else.
My tail or whatever must be much longer than this. I can't grab it from here. Much less see it. I kinda want to know what it looks like, it can't all be a thick square. So I start leaning back to get a glance at my whole body.
After I tried and failed to gain my balance I fell over onto my back. Two long yellow things with black tips loomed over into the top of my vision and so I looked down. They seem familiar..."What am I?"
Yellow body, fur, new teeth, new knees, three-toes, rectangle tail thing, black-tipped things. "Wait, this is!"
"So I'm a freaking Pikachu in this world?" I sighed once I finally managed to pull my tail into view. A tail. Is in my hands. No, my paws. This tail is a Pikachu's. My tail. I'm a Pikachu. "Why!? Am I a Pokemon!?" Something on my face twitched. Whiskers? "Yep, I knew it. I've lost my mind," I groaned aloud, dropping my tail.
It swept across the grass and then began to rise. "Wait a damn moment," I reached around to grab my tail and study it. It was thin and firm. My paws traveled towards the base and then all the way to the top. It's so cool! Anyway, this long jagged appendage didn't have the default shapes on the end. It was slanted on one half with a round half circle on the other half. It wasn't completely heart or flat so I wasn't about to complain. Didn't know that was an option. Sweet.
"I do look different-" I gestured between my legs, feeling my ears twitch. "I now have what I wanted with all this," I pat all across my body, running my paws through every part. I confirmed my suspicion when I felt something exciting, of course I'm not completely non-binary in this Pokemon, but I have what I'm finally okay with. "Maybe I can feel the way I want and be treated how I want in this body," I might as well start walking if I want to be treated by anyone, no one is here.
My new front and rear legs, er, paws were hard to coordinate even when walking slowly, so I opted to begin walking on my hind legs alone.
Augh, man, what a pain. I have a much smaller stride than what I'm used to, but I think I can end up with a faster gait if I tried four legs… Ugh, so difficult. Since there isn't anywhere else to go I decided to head further on this dirt pathway. "Oh?" I was surprised at my paw pads' durability. It didn't feel too strange when I touched the ground.
The rich chalky soil I walked through was soon replaced with thick grass. The blades became taller and taller until they appeared to be stalks of some sort, so naturally, I lifted my head. When I did so I was able to see where my journey was taking me.
"So this leads to a hilltop with a gentle slope, that lets me get a nice view of where I am," I marveled at the fantastic change in landscape. There is a large reach of stones and rises that stretch far into breathtaking massive sets of teal mountains. I stopped. I felt something odd. Like a powerful force pulled at my core. It urged me to venture up into those rocky hills. Something that tasted like light blue shaved ice, had an odd feeling of reverence. Wait, why did I taste it?
I really don't have many options to head towards, unfortunately. My tail flicked to the side when a strong breeze passed by, reminding me of my condition. My new condition, a Pikachu. "Since I transformed into a Pokemon I will probably have to actually fight my problems, not just run away from them," But I don't wanna have to take part in battles again…. Being a small little Pikachu I don't want to hurt this new body. In a battle or climbing or whatever. Well, Pikachu isn't a weak Pokemon, I think. Begrudgingly, I take a peek back at the forest, I can't find an easy way through that one.
This seems like a fairly decent place to start looking for shelter, food, and or a friendly Pokemon. By the water running down some of the mountains, there appears to be some sort of stream that runs through it. After I spotted that little creek, I was really, really thirsty. It won't hurt to run over there and get refreshed. I began to take some steps down this slope, soon I trotted. Dashing down this hill feels amazing, I'm full of so much energy! "Okay, let's try all fours!" Front two paws, back two paws, front, back, front, back, left, right, rightleftright, oh crap!
But running down this hill, I lost my footing and now I'm flying down to the bottom. "Woah, ahhhhhhh!" I panicked, just before slamming into a thick tree. Shoot! A strong and slow burst of pain swam through my back. I'm slowly losing consciousness, damn it. I should have not…
In a forest that was on the other side of the lake that the Pikachu pined for there was another Pokemon. With a presence. Another Keeper. An Axew. The Axew had a set of peculiar stripes of dark green scales on his body. His eyes were a shade of bright crimson, much lighter than others in his species.
This Axew was atop that tallest tree he could climb and smiled before opening his satchel. Soon he placed Oran Berries into a separate hard container further in the bag. "I sure did need those extra supplies before I head on out to Bristberg," the Axew said to himself. Woo, hopefully, I can find another Keeper before Wicked Blow does. I've heard they're on the hunt for strays and other Pokemon they can find right now. "It's their fault for not livin' in a village or whatever, not my problem."
The Axew sighed as he climbed up another tree. Consarn it. Kobi ain't living in our village, she wouldn't ever claim to either. She told me that she had a dream mark of a stony Riverland. There's only one place I can think she'll be needed in; Pebble Creek. That Espurr went out there to find some important things, another Keeper and them there mana artifacts. She's quite a tad stronger than me, but I wish she would let me help. The Axew foraged through the leaves to look for more fruit.
Kobi is specifically looking for a brown rock-type Pokemon with Keeper energy. At a place with rocks of those same colors. I understand dream mark callings well enough. I've been seeing Sitrus Berries and flashing lightning at night this past week.
This Axew had a fairly muscular build so he accidentally broke a couple of branches that were previously holding him up, which then fell and crashed onto the forest floor. Ignoring this, the Axew kept foraging through the bushes and treetops for some seeds and berries. When he had found some Blast seeds and a Pecha Berry there was a large cloud of smoke in the distance and then followed by a booming thud that rang across the area.
Was that an explosion?! I still should go and check no matter what. The Axew clasped his bag and began to run, his tough claws digging up the soft ground in his wake.
There weren't too many Pokemon that lived in the area because it wasn't the farming season, so the Axew wasn't disturbing anyone. Everyone was back preparing for Spring in Hunters Plains, the little village he was leaving.
He was able to see the lake, but he still couldn't tell where it was coming from until he heard a loud knock. At the base of a Sitrus Berry tree, there was a Pikachu, spread out on their back who was knocked out cold.
"Doesn't seem to be a wild Pokemon. Those bastards are rarely alone," the Axew stared harder. "They better be a lost traveler! Because feral Pikachu don' live 'round these parts," he peered over their whole body and found no accessories hidden on them.
This Pokemon doesn't seem to belong to any organizations or teams, but is someone looking for them? Thought the Axew as he narrowed his eyes. He waited patiently and found no traces of other Pokemon.
"Well thank Mew, it wasn't one of those Wicked Blow members or something. I would probably have to get blood on my claws," the Axew said before he further approached the Pikachu. Now that he had a closer look he could tell there was something odd about this mouse Pokemon. "That's a lot of fur for a Pikachu, theirs is so spiky on their head."
"Even on their belly and on their chest, there are many pointy clumps of fur, which makes me wanna rub them," such a bright color, I never knew Pikachu could have fur this bright. Wait, this fur. The Axew thought. "This seems like the dream mark that I had last week."
The Axew glanced over the Pikachu's stomach, all the way down to their tail, and sighed. "I wonder if Lady Cresselia summoned another strange Pokemon. She always lies to them too, I wish she'd come over here from the Grass Continent."
"Why is their tail slanted and round in such an odd way? Oh well, let me wake them up and introduce maself," the Axew reached into his pack and pulled out a Chesto Berry. He wiped off the purple and yellow fruit, tenderly crushing it.
Then the Axew pressed it into the mouth of the Pikachu. I can sense the rich electric Keeper energy in them, they should be able to notice mine. It's a nice flavor, like a sour berry. He thought with excitement.
The Pikachu opened their pale teal eyes and saw the Axew, who sat down beside them and was surprised. "Ah shoot!" they held their chest in panic, legs splayed out.
Woah, I'm finally awake again. The Pikachu thought as their mind cleared. Their nose twitched in worry, before standing upright. "Wait.. you're a Pokemon!?" t
The Axew looked down at his body and raised his brow. "I hope so," he stared back at the Pikachu.
"Wait, I know! You're an Axew!" the Pikachu said. "You must have woken me up, thank you so much!" they said, tail wagging.
"Yes, I'm an Axew," the Tusk-Dragon opened his maw to yawn. "Oh, and no problem."
"It wasn't a big deal I guess huh?" the Pikachu asked.
"No, but what I'm about to ask is one," the Axew covered his mouth as the other Pokemon sprang up to the lake's edge.
"You can ask me whatever you want, it's only fair," the Pikachu dipped their paws into the cool water.
"Are you a stray or are you a traveler?" the Axew behind them questioned.
"Stray? I don't really understand what you mean by that," the Pikachu began. "Traveler? Well, I wasn't exactly planning on traveling, either," they waved their paws.
"Well, then how in the voids did you get here?" the Axew suddenly became cold. "I don't have time to deal with a damn wandering feral," he spat. "You better not be one of those-"
"Chill man!" the Pikachu cut him off. I was in a mountainside forest and then some strange things happened to me and I found myself here," they explained. What's with the change in his tone? The Pikachu thought. "I won't be treated like some damn wandering feral. Actually whoever they are, they shouldn't be treated badly."
"Easy there," the Axew walked over to the Pikachu.
"What?!" they stepped away from him
"You said a mountainside forest, right?" the Axew tried to change the direction of the conversation.
"Yeah, I did," the Pikachu crossed their arms.
"There were some villages over there," the Axew nodded his head in recollection. "Alrighty, well I have a feeling you can help me."
"That's kinda strange honestly," the Pikachu flattened their ears. "What do you want with me?"
"I need you to come to fill in some vacant spots with me at an important place," the Axew folded his arms in dismay. "Listen buddy, did some lady tell you something before you woke up?"
"No, I haven't heard a lady say anything… I know I just need to keep some promises to some Pokemon," the Pikachu sheepishly twitched their ears. "That does sound kinda scary, can I really do it?"
The Axew nodded. "Yep, you can," he then folded his arms. "So you need to keep some promises and I need a replacement. Our goals are aligned."
"Oh, we are?" they peered into the dark blue water, their reflection showing a Pikachu with bright teal eyes. "Well, coming with you doesn't sound terrible. But-"
"But what?" the Axew questioned." I mean, do you not want to come with me?"
"Yeah, but I don't know you, pal," the Pikachu spat.
"But you're a stray, you gotta follow the advice of a Domestic like me," the Axew demanded.
"I guess you are familiar with the area way more than me, but what's a Domestic?" the Pikachu puzzled.
"Someone who lived in a settlement with a name," the Axew quipped. "Which you haven't as it seems."
"Well, okay then, you aren't better than me! We are both Pokemon," the Pikachu clarified. "I'm not gonna let you off the hook so easily buddy."
"I guess you aren't as dumb as other strays. You seem to be a special stray," the Axew panicked, glancing at the trees behind them. "You'll join me as my teammate to do some missions. I can also help find your family or the town you came from."
"Am I really able to help other Pokemon?" the Pikachu asked sadly, gloom pouring from their words. "I feel like I'm not supposed to be doing anything like that, or rather that I can't."
"Don't worry, you are a Keeper," the Axew waved his claws."Just like me."
"Just like you huh?" the Pikachu sat down on the grass for a moment. "And you are?"
"My name is Hatchet Axew but you can call me Hatchet," the Axew questioned. "What's your name?"
This caught the Pikachu off guard and they leaned forward in thought. Wait, what?
Why can't I remember my own name?
Their long ears drooped down, and the Pikachu stood up to pace around the water's edge. Then they shook their head. "I'm sorry Hatchet, I can't remember. Can you just explain this Keeper thing?" the Pikachu asked, staring into the distance.
Hatchet knelt to get a drink of water and then began washing the fruit in his bag. "I guess if you were a stray no one told you so it's fair," his claws moved methodically. "Being a Keeper means being able to directly influence the balance of powers in the world."
Pikachu nervously glanced at the grass, their teal eyes strangely started to dim. "That's fricking crazy! How do we influence a force of that caliber?"
"The way you have this ability is through artifacts of each element," Hatchet shifted through his satchel. "There is a lock and a key, but both have different purposes."
"Woah, how many keys and locks are there?!" the Pikachu wagged their tail in excitement." What do we have to do about them?!"
"Slow down there buckaroo," the Axew raised a claw. "The keys are used by Keepers for tapping into power, the world's and then possibly your own," he paused to glance at the sky. "Then the lock section is to balance out the world's energy and seal in the excess."
"Wait, so other Pokemon like us can unlock themselves?" the Pikachu also looked into the air, noticing the passing clouds. "Then they can seal back others-"
"Oh right, the word we use for the world's energy is mana. Now the important thing about the keys and locks of the same type is that we have to find the Mystery Dungeons that they are in."
The Pikachu rubbed their cheeks. "We have to go and search through those places to go and get them? Those uh places with Pokemon that you have to battle."
"Oh right, we best be on our way through the Underpass Mystery Dungeon," the Axew finished cleaning off the berries and seeds. "You ready to go, Pikachu?" he looked over to the other Pokemon who had an enlightened look on their face.
"Yeah, I'm ready!" the Pikachu grinned, which bore their white set of teeth. "I decided I want to pick a name while we walk."
"Oh wow, sure," Hatchet scoffed. "You probably didn't have one as a stray."
"I doubt that all strays didn't have a name Hatchet," the Pikachu folded their ears in annoyance. "But let me see."
"Fine, whatever. I'll give you a sec," the Axew requested whilst he began his stride. His claws crushed dried leaves and grass every so often, breaking the silence every time the Pikachu felt uneasy waiting. Ever so hesitantly they followed Hatchet before finding their rhythm.
The Pikachu tilted their head with a quizzed look of wonder. "Ah, I've got it!"
"You do?" Hatchet snapped. "Well, what are you waiting for bud?!"
"My new name will be Voltaru," the Pikachu beamed right back with a raised paw. "It's from Voltage and Haru."
"That's a swell name partner," Hatchet replied. "I like it."
"Thanks, yours is nice too, partner," Voltaru grinned. "Are we partners?"
"Well, we just met so I don't know if a partner is the right word," their new companion smiled. The Axew extended his claw and shook the Pikachu's paw. Then Hatchet started walking up the grassy hill, the same one Voltaru had rolled down. "Follow me Voltaru, I have an appointment in Bristberg soon," he firmly explained. "It's not too far but now we should hurry."
"So where are we going in this Bristberg place?" The Pikachu questioned, following the native Pokemon. "Is there a specific place we need to be at?"
"Don't worry, I was asked to come to an organization based somewhere in the town," the Axew said. "For us Keepers, there are several Leagues and Guilds that we could join no problem."
"I'm glad we don't have to be fugitives or castaways," Voltaru sighed. "Being barred from going into places or businesses or whatever."
"Well, only because we are Keepers bound under the Sentinel oath," Hatchet cleared up. "Not just any."
"Hmmm, an oath," whispered Voltaru as they trailed behind him. "So which one are we heading to?" the Pikachu's eyes darted left and right. "Well, technically you were headed to."
"Ah, I don't mind your company bud," the Axew corrected as he continued onward, the shade of trees darkening his view.
The Pikachu's ears folded down in confusion. "I'm not a bother to your journey or whatever?"
"Nah. You are a stray Keeper and we aren't far from the Mana Research League in Bristberg," the Axew waved a claw. "Which is a place where we will belong."
"We will?" Voltaru pondered. "You really would do that?"
"It's something I don't mind doing," Hatchet said. "Helping a good stray like you integrate back into society."
"What do you mean by that?" the Pikachu stepped back in surprise.
"I said I didn't mind having you tag along," Hatchet ran a claw along his chest. "It's much safer this way for me too, I'm not that strong ya know."
"No, I meant what did you mean you said that I was good- bah never mind," Voltaru sighed. "I would belong to this League place?"
"Yeah," Hatchet slowed down his pace."Hopefully."
"Even for a Pokemon like me, an unusual Pikachu, I don't conform," Voltaru questioned.
"Ah, it doesn't matter. I was sent a letter asking me and another Keeper to come work for the League doing missions and help secure the balance," Hatchet replied after he adjusted the strap of his bag. "There is a new mandate that was passed. Since Kobi hasn't returned you'll have to fill in for her."
So I'll be a substitute for whoever this Kobi is, 'Ceus some great start. The Pikachu narrowed their gaze before their aquamarine eyes brightened faintly. "Earlier you said I was your new partner."
"Yes," the Axew nodded. "And don't worry I'm not going to ask you for money or whatever."
"Hahaha, that does feel kinda strange as of now. But this reminds me of this Kobi person. Was she your former partner?" Voltaru asked, their ears twitching as the two Pokemon got closer to the edge of the forest. "Why'd or how did you end up apart?"
"Yea, sorta. It's pretty complicated, but the Espurr had to go out on a quest far off across the Continent to find someone and then do some research," Hatchet then lowered his voice. "Kobi, she's a mighty special Pokemon trying to do such a task like that alone."
Voltaru was so entranced with the scenery; the face of the dark teal mountainside to make out what the Axew whispered. "Hmm?" they pondered.
"I think we should hurry, so we are gonna have to talk about this after we go into this Mystery Dungeon," the Axew said as they approached an underpass that led into a small cave.
"What's a Mystery Dungeon?" the Pikachu asked. "Some old Labyrinth or whatever that we gotta go through to get to that so-called important place you need me to be at?"
"Kinda, but there are lots of annoying feral Pokemon we have to battle," Hatchet cleared up." And the layout is a maze of different rooms every time you enter."
"Other Pokemon that we have to fend and a maze of some sorts," Voltaru said. "What's the point to going in? Can't we just go around it?" they questioned.
"Mystery Dungeons have lots of resources but you have to be strong and smart to get them," the Axew explained.
"Hatchet, I don't know how to fight very well!" the Pikachu worried, their red cheeks shooting out flares. "Also a place like that sounds scary."
"Don't worry it'll be easy fighting any of the Pokemon in this Mystery Dungeon, don't worry Voltaru," Hatchet answered, a tinge of confusion laced in his voice. "Also, it's not scary bud, it's gonna be just fine."
"It will, why is that?"
"You'll understand when we enter. It won't be too bad, come on."
