In a dimly lit room, a Pokemon stirred. "Ah. Good morning." the light brown and blue dog finally murmured once she gathered her bearings. Her eyes adjusted in the darkness whilst she leaned down to stretch.

"Urgh, Mcbone honey what time is it?" grumbled the pink Pokemon beside her. "So many damn things to do today, I need coffee."

"It's about 5 in the morning darling." the normal-type gently answered before she thought about the medals that gleamed in the faint glimpses of light. "I'll go and wake everyone up." Mcbone grew annoyed with the atmosphere. "Considering almost all the actual teams left we have to teach the young ones."

Cooper's large ears folded against his skull while he rose. " Sorry, I need a couple more minutes." Granbull gnashed his large fangs and fell back asleep.

"Alright, I understand." The Stoutland climbed up out of the large bed and headed for the wide set of curtains. She grabbed at a tether with her teeth and pulled the cloth to the sides of the glass panes. Mcbone rested on the window still. "What a beautiful skyline, thank you Mew for another wonderful day."

At the Riegel Post office, the delivery Pokemon get ready for their daily routes. Inside the garage, about 2 dozen various employees prepared carts, wagons, and all sorts of bags. Back in the building, about 6 workers sorted through bails and piles of mail.

A Linoone gathers up sectioned and separated letters, then small packages, finally he signaled to the Clobopus who had a dumbbell in her tentacles. "Seems like the Research League has been getting lots of mail lately." He nestled 6 boxes into the cart the Octopus was going to pull.

"They probably got lots of new members, I was thinking about applying there months ago." The water-type slowly walked out of the station while the black and white raccoon tailed right beside.

"Why didn't you apply?" Asked the punk normal-dark-type with a lull of his tongue.

"It was too scary, I didn't want to go on missions with such stakes." Shook the light orange Pokemon.

"Ah I see, I applied four times. But couldn't pass any of the exams." The raccoon-dog ran a paw through his striped fur.

"Mon, it sure is tough to get in over there at those Leagues, not to mention those Guilds either." Groaned the Invertebrate, before she sent two more arms to pull the cart as they went uphill towards the commercial district.

"Okay, first business right up here, they have one of these big packages." The red-eyed Pokemon reminded her.

"Ah right, just a couple of letters too."

Chief Mcbone and Bernard padded up to a fairly large mailbox, about a short 4-minute walk from the League Building. The fully-evolved Pokemon maneuvered a bronze key to unlock the first door.

"Woah, we've got so much mail this time!" Barked the Lillipup once he marveled at the hefty pile of various-sized envelopes inside the shute. "Maybe Anabelle and I should finally form a Team with everyone and then we can get mail."

His mother nodded. "Remember you all have to pass the exam first." She delicately pushed her snout into the container. With her teeth, the Stoutland carefully lifted 2 letters at a time. The smaller dog held open the travelers' pack and in no time they had every package addressed to someone at the Research League safely inside the large beige bag.

On their way, they spotted some familiar residents bustling about through the streets. Then as soon as the Chief saw a Dewott and a Pignite, fresh new faces. She remembered the letter from Anthony Dragonite. Did he inform them of me?

"Good morning," Mcbone started with a bark when she stared down the Pokemon. Her light brown and dark blue coat shined like the sun's bright yellow rays broke through patches of the cloud for a moment. There were skies of dark pink. Dotted with faded blue cumulonimbus and altostratus. Chief of the Bristberg Mana League could never be too wary of travelers. She didn't have that luxury.

The water-type had a wide scar that went between his eyes. The fire-fighting-type had a thin and long mark on his cheek, from his left eye to his right. Both Pokemon were quite muscular, so it seemed like they were adventurers or a similar profession.

The Discipline Mon twitched his whiskers at the formidable presence as his partner nervously glanced up. "Uh 'ello, are you the Bristberg Mana Research League Chief?" His Nebulous accent was thick on every word.

Stoutland did not change her expression. "Yes, who wants to know?" Her son stood back as he took in the foreign scents.

The Otter bent his ears down to hear the mumble of his friend. "Is she gonna fockin' kick our asses if we answer wrong, or something? Damn, so uptight." The worried pig whispered.

"Mon, shut up Coal." Softly laughed the Otter before he pushed the fire-fighting-type. "I am Tidal Dewott of the Strike True Guild from Nebula." He spoke up with a smile.

"I'm Coal Pignite, also from the Strike True Guild." Shoved back the swine, with his clawed hooves. "I'm much, much stronger than this short loser cunt over here." He gestured above his ears and between his legs.

Chief Mcbone raised her brow. "Interesting, something tells me you don't fancy one another's company."

"Na, this bloke just likes to get on my nerves sometimes!" Dewott replied as he swiftly closed the distance between himself and the Pignite. "Quit acting a fool or I'll put you through hell," he demanded curtly.

The fire-fighting-type formed a shit-eating grin on his muzzle. "Are you upset because I lasted longer than you?" He then turned to the two dogs and flashed his thumb up. "Don't worry Chief, I fight fair."

Enraged, Tidal took out one of his scalchops and slammed it on the boar's head. "Shut the fuck up you retarded bitch!" He bore his fangs when his partner punched him in the gut. "Apologize!"

"Oi! Why don't you come and make me with those fat-" Coal tried to yell before his partner kicked him on the side.

In the commotion, Bernard tilted his head with a smile, "Why are you two fighting each other?" He asked while his tail wagged. "If you don't last long it doesn't matter."

Dewott and Pignite stopped what they were doing and looked down at the Lillipup. Then they glanced up at his Stoutland mother. They blushed nervously.

The Bristberg Chief stared at the two silently before she let out a chuckle. "Hahaha, gotta love Bernard, the poor guy doesn't know any better!" The dog laughed as she put her large fore-paws on the new members. "You'll fit right in, thanks for coming all the way here!"

After a quick walk, the 5 Pokemon made it back to the League Building and the rear entrance. "Cooper, you have quite a few letters here for you!" The Chief poked her head out the sliding glass door with a woof. "Also the reinforcements we called from Strike True Guild are here."

In the backfield her Granbull mate watched the newest trainees, Nekotetsu, Hikari, Aoijo, and Brambella practice their moves. They were trying to practice the best attack positions in pairs, but it didn't work well.

He turned his ears to the side before he clapped his paws together. "Alrighty kids, let's take a water break while I go and read the mail and greet the new League Guest Members." The fairy-type smiled before he began to walk towards the main building's deck.

The four young Pokemon stopped what they were doing and followed after the pink dog through the grass. "Wooh, hoooo!" Cheered Hikari as she ran with wild abandon. The soles on her feet ignited with excitement and determination.

There were blackened patches of grass in the bunny's wake. "No one is faster than me!" she taunted.

"Oh yeah? Think you can take me?" Yowled the steel-type Meowth beside her. He bolted forward in large leaps and strides, which tore up the tall grass.

Nekotetsu extended his dark grey claws just before he and his Scorbunny friend both crashed onto the wood patio.

His Grookey teammate just shook her head while she caught up. Brambella used the wooden drum stick in her fur to deflect some debris.

The Sobble scrambled away from the blast. "Ahhh, what the heck guys!" The worried lizard shot out a Water Pulse at his peers.

"Oi, you two! Don't get wood chips and splinters all everyone." Cooper shielded his face from the debris. The Granbull sighed, "Another repair… I'm docking your mission pay."

Despite the modest wreckage Tidal and Coal sheepishly stepped onto the deck. Gently this time, the pig elbowed his water-type companion. "'Ello Coordinator Cooper!" The Dewott bent down and waved, a bright grin on his face.

The Pignite nervously looked down. "G'day Mister Cooper." The boar's eyes never made contact with the pink dog's body. Only his tall black ears twitched.

"Ah, you must be Tidal and Coal, welcome to the Bristberg Mana Research League." Started the Granbull before he reached for the door. "Mcbone honey, I'll go get their things and some drinks." The Coordinator regretted that he had left the new League member items all the way back in the office.

"Okay." His Stoutland mate emptied the mail onto a table and then organized each envelope and letter. Team Sharp Claw, Team Rebirth, Monthly Sentinels Master Zeraora, and Mrs. Miriam Glaceon Boey. She skimmed over each address and remembered where everyone was.

"Young Pokemon, feel free to ask these guys lots of questions. Because they are going to head out to help our Rescue Teams soon." Chief Mcbone spoke up after she cleared her throat.

Some of the former guild members freaked out at the site of the new Pokemon. "Woah you guys have scars!" panicked Aoijo, covering his light blue face. "Those must have hurt…But they look kinda cool."

The white rabbit beside him tapped her feet on the ground in excitement. "And you have accents!" Hikari then tilted her head to the side in thought. "What's life like on the Nebula Continent?"

"Your old teammates, what Pokemon are they? Your Bosses or whatever, them too." asked the Grookey.

"How crazy is your training?" the Meowth mewed."What are the Mystery Dungeons like over there?" He added quickly.

Flabbergasted, Dewott looked down at the young trainees and rubbed behind his head. "One question at a time kid." Then he began answering every single inquiry.

Cooper arrived back with the scarves, badges, and a tray. On that tray was a pitcher, kettle, and some small mugs. He got himself some tea before he turned to Tidal and Coal.

"I'll be over reading the letters from Team Sharp Claw." The Granbull sat down and carefully opened Voltaru's letter. He stirred in a spoonful of sugar and a drizzle of honey before he carefully lapped it inside the mug.

His black eyes narrowed at the neat words on the faded yellow paper. "Nekotetsu is apparently one of their old friends. Brambella informed them that the Strong Will Guild wanted to talk with them."

The fully-evolved dog opened up Hatchet's letter and was puzzled to see the same claw-writing. "They had dinner with his cousins after the talk with the Guildmaster. Susei and Meadow are their names, I've heard of them! Those two have countless great expeditions under their belt."

He then opened Nevada's letter. "The Strong Will Guild wishes for them to go to the Twin-Star Continent after dealing with Amelia and some other Wicked Blow gangs. To help locate some members with another Team, not an urgent mission."

"Hmmm, I believe that once our other members arrive this will be a great experience for everyone. I'll write to the Guildmasters further." Cooper said aloud.

"The whereabouts of Amelia Weavile and her gang is something they'll find out about

soon." Glade's writing piqued Granbull's interest. "Going to assist Team Rebirth with subduing and apprehending the weasel's lackeys but, will need additional support." He looked over to Tidal and Coal, who were busy answering all sorts of questions from the younger Pokemon.

Linus wrote out an expansive detailed report on Astesia's condition before and after the surgery. This included the Rookiedee's evolution into Corvisquire. "Astesia has evolved?! Mcbone!" Cooper excitedly barked, his voice dripped in pride.

"Yes?" His mate padded over to the table and peered at the paper. "By Mew! She's a Corvisquire! Some Keepers managed to restore and seal the stolen flying-type energy back to the world."

Cooper's jet black eyes lit up with worry once he read the flying type's letter. "Tidal, Coal!" He called out, with a mighty woof. The two Nebulous Pokemon immediately turned to the Coordinator. "I need you two to depart for Midori Mori City, put on your equipment so I can guide you on the fastest route."

"Yes sir!" They both replied earnestly. Tidal and Coal waved goodbye to the trainees, Chief Mcbone, and her children before they went back into the building. The Dewott pulled the new exploration bag onto his shoulder while his Pignite partner dumped the contents of their old pack inside.

Cooper wagged his tail as he led the young adults out of the League Building and down into the middle of the cobblestone paved city. "I'll show you the fastest way to Midori Mori! It's across to the north-eastern side."

"When you get to the city ask for directions to the Strong Will Guild. Then find out where here Team Three-Point went. That is if you don't spot Team Sharp Claw or Rebirth. They have the same patterned scarves you now wear." The Granbull finished.

Then there was a silence as the 3 Pokemon hurried through the streets. "Could you tell us the names and species of all the other League Members?" Coal put out a question while he walked on the other side of the Dewott.

The Granbull sensed the Pignite's unease and lowered his wide ears. He cleared his throat as they walked down past a Move Tutor and specialist item shop. "Well, we have Silas Salamence, Aerith Comfey, Libra Riolu, Fred Froakie, Spyla Skorupi, Wally Shieldon-"

Back in the League, the Stoutland had just finished all the letters, she neatly placed them back into their envelopes. "This is quite worrying, Mrs. Boey said that Lua set out for Bristberg a month ago. The Buizel only traveled from a small village just outside of Palm Shore, it shouldn't take them much longer."

I could send some teams to look for Lua, they may need some help. The world is such a dangerous place and I don't want the family to suffer another loss. Mcbone stared at her dark navy overcoat in thought for minutes until the doorbell rang three times.

All the young Pokemon perked up their ears in confusion while the Chief nodded in realization. Team Aegisdrip and Team Blue Heroes have finally arrived back in Bristberg! "Wait out here until I call for you alright, Bernard, Anabelle you too." She instructed with a deep woof.

The trainees sat upright in their chairs and her children scampered out the room towards the patio, then dashed far back into the field.

Out front, in the gate of the League, six Pokemon waited before they used their badges to open the black-barred doors. They swiftly entered the courtyard and then opened the steel doors to the building. Paws tapped on stone, and claws scuttled on top of the hard tile, wooden doors creaked open.

Soon the group reached the expansive living room, where one end of the establishment was."Chief, Chief!" Cried Spyla, as the Skorupi scrambled close to where the Stoutland was while her companions followed.

"Yes?" Mcbone exited the deck and closed the sliding glass door. Tightly the bug-poison-type clung onto the normal type's fur in an embrace before she sobbed.

The Stoutland glanced at the two red-black vases that were placed on the counter by Riolu and Froakie then felt her heart sharply drop. She could take in the faint scents of those not present.

Far back into the wide hallway Salamence folded his red wings tight against his back and stared at his superior. No, his mentor. Silas's grey eyes gleamed brightly, he drank in the familiar site.

Aerith floated up to her Chief and solemnly glanced down. She tensed up and clenched her eyes close before she sighed. "We lost them. Chad and Diamond were found by Lord Zeraora and Lord Tapu Koko down in the Scarlet Cliffs." The Comfey said before she tenderly laid down on the dog's head. "They fought to the very end."

Wally saw the mix of emotions in Stoutland's eyes and looked away. "No, no this can't be!" Mcbone began to see red. "How could this have happened!?" She angrily demanded an answer, her teeth bared.

A whimper unconsciously rose out Riolu, the emanation Pokemon shook as she felt the pure rage and fury from the larger Pokemon. Once the normal-type realized her subordinate's position she had to de-escalate. The Stoutland took in deep breaths and she laid down on her side.

The Shieldon reached into his bag and pulled out two scarves and badges before he walked over to the Chief. Froakie nervously glanced over at his fighting-type partner to see how she was faring. Riolu had tried to hold back all her emotions, but her tail raised unconsciously.

"They were caught up in a landslide, they had found the keys of fire-type and electric-type. Just like they said they would." The steel-rock-type cried beside his partner. "But they didn't, they didn't come back!" Wally broke out in tears and sobbed. "I was gonna help them raise enough for them to go buy a blimp! That was their dream! They were gonna teach me more about exploration, and markets, and all sorts of things!"

The jackal picked up the urns and placed them down on a lower table. Her green eyes were puffy and narrowed fiercely. "Lord Zeraora has taken the key and lock of electric-type to their domain, they wrote that Lord Moltres has taken the key and lock of fire back in the Sand Continent." The jackal softly woofed uneasily, her words wavered.

Suddenly Mcbone's tall ears swiveled towards the back, noticing a ruckus from in the backyard. "I understand, you all are discharged for today. Team Blue Heroes I will need your assistance with the ceremonies and paperwork, expect your orders soon."

The mighty Stoutland then gently embraced Wally and Spyla, her forepaws holding them tight. "I won't force you to go out, Team Aegisdrip. The two of you may take however long you need to rest and grieve." She stood up solemnly and walked towards the patio. The Chief couldn't bear to stay in the League Building any longer. She had to leave.

Hikari, Aoijo, Brambella, and Nekotetsu had goofed off, they used their moves at each other. In their battles, they ignored the commotion inside the building and nearly tore up the lawn. The grass was frayed. The soil seemed drenched, and slightly singed. Now after they scruffed and tumbled around the Pokemon had lots of dirt, grit, weeds, and stalks covering their bodies. They were filthy.

"Alright, I'm taking over for Cooper." the Stoutland warmly gazed over at her young trainees. "Come on kids, let's go do requests for some Pokemon, I'll let each one of you pick a mission from the board."

All four of them shook their fur and scales. "Really?" asked the Scorbunny as she hopped around.

"Yes." Chief Mcbone replied.

Nekotetsu sharpened his thick claws with a wild grin. Then he lowered onto his belly, primed to pounce."We can go beat up some Pokemon?!" The steel-type hissed as his tail waved left and right.

The Stoutland nodded her head and panted, her long pink tongue rolled out her maw and she looked at the morning sun. Tears slowly rolled down her cheek while the children gathered their supplies. Soon the League Trainees piled up all the equipment, berries,d seeds into their travel bag for the long haul.

"Wait, where are Bernard and Anabelle?" Chief Mcbone noticed the absence of two Pokemon then bent down and sniffed the ground. She lifted her ears and then headed around to the back. "We'll head out after I get them, let's go!"

About 10 AM, down in Midori Mori City, at the Fourtree Inn, Team Sharp Claw awoke to see a letter on the counter. Hatchet opened his crimson eyes. The Axew hopped out of his bed and walked over to see what the envelope contained.

"Ah, hmm is this from the Strong Will Guild?" he asked gruffly. He read the address on the cover. "Yeah, it's from Team Three Point of that Guild."

Glade stirred under her sheets as the dragon-type opened the first set of blinds. "Errm," she groaned before she loudly yawned. "Good morning Hatchet." The Totodile rolled over in her bed and sighed.

The dragon-type picked up the blue and grey parchment and walked over to his bedside, he then glanced over at Nevada and Voltaru. The two enbies were peacefully fast asleep, despite the hour on the clock. "Want to read this letter with me?" his deep smoky voice put out.

"Eh, I want to go check on Linus, Astesia, and CJ before I do." the gator pulled off her covers and hopped onto the light brown wood. "Considering they are dealing with this too."

"Alrighty, I'm gonna wake up everyone for breakfast." Hatchet folded back the letter with care and placed it down on his nightstand. He gently shook the Pikachu with his burly claws to rouse them out of their slumber. "Wakey, wakey." the green Pokemon softly whispered.

Glade opted to slam her body onto her Charmander teammate's. This instantly woke them up with a shout. "What the ever-loving fuck!" The lizard raged before they raked their claws on the water type's scales.

The electric-type cheeks flickered before their eyelids stirred. "Hmm, ah." Then the fluffy mouse got up. "Ha, good morning."

After walking across to the other inn Glade rapped down on Team Rebirths' room door. "Ayo, wake yo asses up!" the Totodile began to knock harder until her lanky Charmander teammate pulled on her arm.

After about 1 minute CJ swung the door open. "Oi, what the hell do you want?" he lowly barked, eyes low.

"We have a letter from the Strong Will Guild," Voltaru answered with a deep voice, they placed their paw on their throat. "In our own letters, we told Sir Cooper we needed assistance in advance."

The fairy-type wiped the corners of his eyes. "The Strong Will Guild is also providing support?

"Yes." sternly replied the Pikachu.

The fairy-type shook his whole body. "Any place you want us to go to grab a bite or whatever?"

"I want to read the newspaper with Astesia while we get breakfast down at this place across the street." Nevada bent down to say.

"Okay." retorted CJ before he rolled his wrists and neck.

"She needs to have her nerves calmed before we head out, also I want her to explain what happened between her and that Weavile." the tall Charmander reminded.

"We have some details to discuss, our plan on how to deal with Amelia and her crew." Hatchet's deep red eyes gleamed with conviction. "

Snubull kept his left paw on the door and then scratched his belly. "Sooorrry, I'm bad in the morning." He yawned loudly.

"We can't just fucking waltz into the Hideout ya know!" Glade snapped impatiently.

The juvenile dog glanced up. "Alright, I'll get everyone." he closed the door.

Soon Linus, Astesia, and CJ exited their rooms and followed the rest of Team Sharp Claw. The League members now sat in a breakfast joint and just received their meals.

"Before I explain what happened I need to know the information included in da letters." The Corvisquire questioned sternly.

Nevada sighed as they rolled up the weekly news back on the table. "M-maybe later." The orange Pokemon whispered to themselves.

"Here." The Totodile who sat across from Astesia slid the paper in front of the bird. "The team that is going to help us said that the Weavile is hiding in Spine Woods in west Midori."

The black and blue Pokemon plucked a bunch of berries with her large beak and swallowed them whole. "Okay, CJ and I will go solely after Amelia and her highest mons with the reinforcements."

Everyone glanced at one another and nodded. "Team Sharp Claw will deal with the rest. We won't let them escape. No matter what." As Team Leader Linus decreed.

"I'll explain now." Astesia blinked and twitched her tail feathers as she nestled into the dining booth. "When we were younger Amelia and I was young explorers. The year of the Disruption she had grown violently impatient with many things. Our rank, her strength, the missions we went on, where we lived, and most importantly a shopkeeper who sold the Razor Claw and other various evolution items."

"He mocked her year after year after year, saying she wasn't ready or worthy to use the claw. I told her it was because we were kinda stuck at the normal rank for a while and to wait, but she didn't listen. She wanted to become powerful at any cost, no matter who was hurt."

"The Sneasel, in cold blood, killed the shopkeeper, stole the Razor Claw, and then blamed the situation on me. She also stole an item for flying types and scattered my feathers everywhere. I had found her after she evolved and tried to confront her but wasn't strong enough. She then tried to clip off my wings but settled with my bones, shattered and broken then left me for dead." The Corivsquire finished with a low call. Then there was a silence.

Voltaru pounded their paw on the table in anger, their ears low and cheeks brimmed full of electricity. "That monster!" The Pikachu growled before their other League members glanced around. "But what are we gonna do?"

After he placed his fist into his palm Linus raised a glass. "We end this reign of terror today, she and her gang will pay for their crimes!" The grass-type declared gruffly. "I've heard of her most recent actions; attacked countless Pokemon, and tried to steal from the League down in Palm Shore."

"Mind you this was after she was able to get her claws on the key of ice from another Wicked Blow Member who fled to another Continent. The most painful crime was the deaths of two of the Strong Will Guilds apprentices, they were so young, stripped of their lives."

His brother finished eating his stack of waffles and opened his old satchel. "I think we are going to need some rope to wrangle all those grunts she has." Hatchet started before he took a glance outside the restaurant window. "Wait how many Pokemon does she have with her?"

Nevada patted him on the shoulder with a smile. "I-it doesn't matter,"

"How can it not!"Angrily shot back the Axew. "We don't know what we're getting into!"

The Lizard flinched at the outburst. "I, I just meant that Team Sharp Claw can, no will get it done. That's all. I'm, I wasn't saying it wasn't important or anything like that!" They protested fervently.

Their Totodile teammate reached over to latch on their shoulder. "That's the fucking spirit! Balls to the wall, we'll kick those bitches asses, tie em' up and that'll be it!"

In the early afternoon, two Pokemon flew past the tree-covered mountainside. While he dashed through the rocky and rough soil the Tidal unraveled the map given to him by Sir Cooper.

His dark blue eyes scanned through the paper and he drew a path from a large trail outside the hills to the light green forest. "Yoo, we are almost at the City, Coal! Just about two more kilometers!" Dewott called out to his Pignite partner.

With a blast of fire the pig responded. He had blasted through a thick clearing of dead and rotting trees and shattered the rocks that remained in the travelers' path. "That's focking great! I don't wanna show up late to the party." the fire-fighting-type grinned before he slid under some low hanging branches his partner collided into.

The Otter smashed his muzzle onto the wood and fell backward onto his tail. "Shit! You could have warned me, you dick!" He dusted himself off and then chased after his partner down the dark teal mountain-side.

A day after they secured the keys Kobi and Makkuro made their way out of the Mist Ravine Mystery Dungeon and through the surrounding Riverlands. Now, on their second day of travel, the pair hurried along a hidden section of boggy wetlands. A Morass hid many potential watery threats to unsuspecting travelers so they had to be careful. The two Keepers had in their possession two elemental keys and locks, so they did their best to hurry into the red gated settlement.

A cloudy skyline was clear of wide cypress and pine trees so the Espurr spotted a glimpse of the eastern entrance to the city. "There it is, that is Midori Mori." the psychic-type meowed while her wide eyes narrowed. "We still can't let our guard up!" she ran through the fen, stalks of cattails brushed her side and her hefty adventurers' saddle bounced in every step.

Her partner bounded over the same stretch of marshland. "Why are we heading for this city instead of going to Stone Creek village? They have a research league down there don't they?" asked the rock-type in a low bark.

"This is the closest city to the League I am requested at." Kobi then shook her head. "Also the other nearby league is actually in Palm Shore City. The town where we need to go is called Bristberg." the grey cat replied before she paddled through a moss-covered pond.

The Rockruff opted to go around the murky water and kept his fur dry. "Kobi, could you tell me how the area looks and the weather?" He woofed softly. "I don't wanna be muddy or end up somewhere humid again."

Kobi turned to her side and scanned the area, then flicked her short tail. "Bristberg is known for its teal mountains and cold air year-round." She meowed.

"Nice," Makkuro replied.

The Espurr leaped over large collections of pebbles and stone out of the marsh onto some sandy grass. All traces of wetland soon began to blur into more shrubbery and grassland.

As they approached the clearing that ended with the entrance the Rockruff noticed a gradual change in his partner's four-legged gait. Her normally rapid trot was slowing down, almost as if something was weighing her down. "Hey, what's up?" The puppy Pokemon asked in a whine.

"There is suddenly a strong burst of aura and emotions, but one of the auras is strikingly familiar." Kobi stopped to respond. Her dark purple eyes gleamed when her ears slightly moved. "It's him." She said a smile on her muzzle.

Her Rockruff companion chased after her when she dashed off the path and headed towards a powerful feeling. "Wait, is it the old partner you mentioned? That Hatchet Axew guy?!" The puppy Pokemon let out a yap when he struggled to keep up.

"He's been my friend for a long time!" The Espurr excitedly purred just before she leaped up a tree. "I can always recognize him when he is determined, dragon-types have such strong emotions." She launched herself off a branch, careful to land on the ground safely. "I haven't seen him in about a month!" "He and I were supposed to form a team and work for the League-"

But when the pair got closer to Spine Woods Makkuro could see another change in his companion. She was furious, pure hatred inundated her body. It was a mirage and blended pinks and purples.

"Kobi!" He pleaded when the psychic-type used her ESP to rip out saplings, hedges, and bushes out of her way. The large Espurr didn't respond to his call; she just continued down her maddened, aggravated, and galvanized descent.

"Don't get involved, this isn't your fight!" The rock-type knew he wasn't strong enough to stop her possible rampage so he had to beg. "Please! I don't know who the bad Pokemon are. You don't know either, you have to think this through." Her triggers were all together, many vicious and malice-filled Pokemon, some oozed an unholy quantity of horrid bloodlust.

In a low clearing was a large amount of Pokemon, separated into multiple groups. The cat briskly located each emotion and began to calm down. Hatchet, he's with many righteous Pokemon… She then remembered her travels, the vital contents in her bag, and the precious puppy she guided. "Alright, I'll sit tight, I'm sorry."
