Kobi and Makkuro understood the situation in this part of Spine Woods. There was a real bonafide Wicked Blow Gang hideout here. Clustered rows of thin, spiny trees soon began to morph as a foreboding tune started to ring. Right inside of a Mystery Dungeon.
The hideout structure was a poorly fashioned tree house and three huts. Strangely it seemed like a comfortable lodge despite imitation of disaster that radiated from it. Besides that, all the Feral Carnals seemed to be hidden away. So there would be no interference.
Hmm, two Pokemon approaches, one at a breakneck speed, the other a modest pace. The psychic-type couldn't turn off her senses and flinch. They are probably allies of Hatchet's force.
The Espurr's friend; Hatchet Axew and his team, a Pikachu, a Charmander, a Totodile, and a Treecko nodded amongst themselves. "I have a hell of an itch to go over there and say hi." Kobi groaned before she put a leash on her excitement.
"We probably would get in their way, we don't want to lose the goods either." Makkuro bowed before he pawed at their bags.
"We'll wait till all the fighting is done to introduce ourselves. Unless things seem really bad or one of the enemies goes after us." The psychic-type meowed, her whiskers twitched before she widened her eyes. "Oh, right these guys aren't expecting you."
The Rockruff tilted his head. "Is that a good thing or a bad thing?" he asked before he sniffed frantically. "Sorry. It's so hard getting used to all these different scents."
"Ah, it's okay bud." The cat licked the puppy's chest fur slowly. "I wonder how this will work at the League regarding going to a team. I hope I get to do as promised and make a team with Hatchet."
Makkuro lowered his ears. "Awah, I hope I'm able to fit into your plans right. I'm excited to meet them." His curly tail wagged.
After some time of waiting the Totodile in Hatchet's team picked up some Geopebbles that were in the grass and pointed up. "Open the door, or I'm gonna throw rocks through your windows, you dumb whores!" The gator threatened loudly, with a wide expression of impatience. Her tail thrashed as the wind picked up.
Immediately Hatchet and the next to him Pikachu began to laugh. "Bruh they are gonna beat yo ass if you keep this up." The electric-type grinned as their long ears twitched. "Shimmer down some."
Totodile smiled right back as she adjusted her ragged cape. "Ah whatever, I'd like to see them fucking try! These bitches need to get down from there!" She yapped out fervently, her foot stomped with each word.
"They are criminals but ya shouldn't call them whores ya know?" The Axew put wiping away a tear as he tried to contain his giggles. "I was beginning to feel a bit tense and uneasy, thanks."
"Glade. Was that necessary?" Asked the lanky fire-type behind the Totodile. Their tail flame pressure spiked while they stared at the treehouse. There was mild commotion from the raised structure on the multiple pines. "Now those guys have noticed us! Weren't we supposed to sneak up on them?"
The tree gecko beside the Charmander chopped this 'Glade' Pokemon's head. "Nah it was necessary, I wanna tear this place down!" The grass-type chucked a jagged rock and it smashed through some glass panes. It shattered violently and everyone shielded their face. "Wait for the grunts to come out before we charge!" He ordered.
"Alrighty, show us your orders city boy!" Growled back the striped Axew before he tightened his scarf in a sharp pull. Kobi tilted her ears just so slightly. Linus, ah that's one of his brothers.
The fluffy Pikachu next to the dragon looked surprised before they clinched their paws and sparked. "I'll do my best!"
They had some interesting grey fur and deep teal eyes. Not to mention the energy, it tastes like sour candy. Kobi drank in her substitute's presence and noticed Makkuro did the same.
"Think they're a former human like us?" Gently asked the Rockruff with a bark.
"Maybe, let's see." The Espurr mewed in reply.
In front of Team Sharp Claw was a Corivsquire and a Snubull, both wearing the same three-striped scarves. The flying-type calmly opened up, releasing her impressive wingspan. "Amelia." She cawed once there was apparent stirring inside the treehouse.
"Oh, wow, you finally made it." Drawled out a cold voice, it dripped with glee. It came from a slim and scruffy-built Weavile who had gently opened the door. This brought the inside of the building into view. "Also, I actually liked that window, you assholes."
Like zubats out of badlands, many Pokemon poured out the house settled in the pines and dingy shacks below. They surrounded their opposition with every tile they could on the Mystery Dungeon floor.
A teal and light blue Sandslash knelt to say something to a Poochyena before tying something onto the dark type's scruffy neck. Then the hyena cub disappeared. Quickly the ice-steel-type rolled back to her leader's side.
Amelia extended her dark right arm and fractals of ice spouted from her fur. "Astesia, I'm surprised you have friends." Quickly the Weavile snapped her other white fingers. "This many, anyway." She then ran a claw up her dark coral crown. "Brave enough to come here."
Six Pokemon under the gang leader rushed forward to stop Team Sharp Claw. Each was now busy skirmishing with a foe. The green dragon grappled against an Oddish. To the left Charmander was dealing with a Carkol. A Tsareena kicked at Glade while the city boy Treecko was wrestling with a Joltik. Finally, the Pikachu fought a Skovet.
After checking out the battles below Amelia pulled her black and white bandana over her wild grin. "Maybe I should take them from you. Sounds fun." She cackled as she narrowed her eyes on her potential targets.
"Shut your fucking mouth." the Corivsquire interjected sharply.
"You are gonna have to get them over my dead body." Demanded the flying-type. Her Snubbull partner returned to her side with two small gems, one yellow, the other blue. He set the bluestone on his silver bracelet. The other was passed to Astesia's dark grey talon. Then she notched an emera into her leg's Looplet.
Deep in some underbrush, Makkuro felt uneasy. "What's going on?" The Rockruff asked his mentor with a whisper. He knew her emotional analysis would rattle her brain.
There was strangely bloodthirsty but noble energy coming from the Corivsquire and Kobi had clamped her eyes shut. The grey cat placed her paws above her muzzle. " I think they know each other or something."
"Ahaha! I can't wait to crush you again!" The dark-ice type jumped off the balcony right in front of the raven. The Weavile hurried and used Triple-Axel. "Oh, you seem so full of yourself! Well, dodge this!" She snarled as her hind paws fell.
Taking the initial blow the Corivsquire silently blocked the other two kicks with her wrapped wings. The impact caused Amelia to hop backward before she dashed away. "Oh sure, block it like it's nothing, you cocky bitch!" The Sharp Claw Pokemon snarked.
The fairy-type standing behind Astesia looked down to their exploration bag and pulled out an orb before he smashed it in his paws. CJ then dodged a burst of poisonous gas from the Toxapex and then chased into the hallway after him.
Amelia flashed a glimpse of her fangs to Astesia before she ran up the stairs to the next floor. The Weavile also scattered some icy caltrops, in the air and on the grass. "Catch me if you can!"
With ease, the raven behind her maneuvered around each burst of shards before she flew down and beat her wings. The crystals shattered. Every single one in the Corivsquire's way. She could not be deterred.
That Amelia, hmm she is the notorious criminal that Hatchet warned me about. The hidden Espurr grimaced and her claws came out as her fur bristled. I want… I want to kill her, just give me a reason, my blood is boiling! Her evil energy, it's off the charts, filled with malice and unrelenting hatred! Such should not belong in this world!
Behind the apparent League members were a slightly brawny Combusken and a lean Quiladen. They were wearing black armbands with orange and blue flairs. "You know why we are here so just give up!" The spiny grass-type put with a deep growl. There was a large wooden cart that sat right beside her, with numerous spools of rope and other materials strung about.
The fire-fighting-type raised his leg in a battle stance and squawked. "Team Three Point of the Strong Will Guild will not allow this any further!" He flexed his thighs before he began to chant.
"Oh really now!?" Chuckled a red blur that tackled the bird's partner. It was an Orbeetle that latched onto the hedgehog's front.
Try as she may, the grass-type couldn't land a hit on the ladybug as she was weighed down. "Ignis!" she cried out as she decided to try to lift and pry off the beetle.
"I got you Arbora!" The Young Fowl Pokemon cried before he lunged forward and kicked the bug-psychic-type. Orbeetle let go. She decided to scatter backward. Her heavy head limited her speed and left her open.
Seeing this chance, the Quiladen used Bite, her sharp fangs pierced through the black shell of the Seven Spot Pokemon. Once she tasted the bitter blood of a bug-type Arbora released her jaws just to be pelted with a Psywave.
Before Ignis could do anything else he was punched in the back. This strong blow sent him flying towards a tree. "Argh!" He cried out as he recoiled in pain. "Who could have!?" the bird questioned as he glanced around.
Snickering behind the Combusken was a pink-red and green Pokemon. He had long black fur atop his head with a sinister grin on his face. "Oh, you should pay better attention to a battle buddy." At the comment, Ignis's orange eyes caught a glimpse at his new target.
"Whatever Morgrem!" The fire-fighting-type was on his feet in a flash, he dashed backward to quickly think of his next action. Gah, we have to deal with these guys on our own! They are pretty tough!
Back on the second floor separated from Asetsia, CJ frantically searched from the Toxapex that nearly poisoned him. The Snubbull wanted to sniff out the Brutal Star Pokemon but knew a deep breath was not an option. Suddenly the air around him tasted different, a cold and metallic presence snapped him out of his trance.
A giant ball of steel drove right over the tile he was standing on, the fairy-type barely jumped out of the way in time. "Woah!" He gasped. The ball unfurled and revealed a Sandslash. Her dark teal spines shined brightly, while she stood back to look at her opponent. "You are Amelia's right paw Pokemon, aren't you?!" CJ wanted to confirm.
"Yes. I can tell you are the one who cared for Astesia." She stretched out her thick claws and exhaled a deep mist. The pink Pokemon grit his teeth before he dashed forward suddenly. "Thank you." the Sandslash whispered.
Why thank me? Bah, whatever! The Snubbull concentrated as he formed powerful dark energy into his jaws and fangs.
"What is your name?" The large mouse asked before she took the brunt of the dog's Crunch. The impact was strong, a loud clang filled the air, chips of her hide broke away and ice-steel type winced. "Hrg." She groaned in mild discomfort, narrowing her eyes. But it wasn't enough.
"It's CJ!" The Pokemon barked in response, his maw curved in a frown. I'm still in close range, not good.
On instinct, the Sandslash struck back with an Aerial Ace. This attack sent the Snubull flying away, his snout being buried into the dirt. A thick mark on the dog's shoulder bled so he quickly fastened his scarf on the wound to stop the bleeding. Then he glanced back.
Conscious of the Mystery Dungeons layout the fairy-type decided to run off towards scattered emera shards. "Not going to attack again CJ!?" The light blue Pokemon questioned as she slowly followed the Snubbull down a hallway, her left arm clutching her side.
Around the corner, passing dark rows of pine trees, Sandslash found herself in a small room. There was a single Cheri Berry on the floor. The bright red flesh tempted her. So she stashed it.
CJ looked at the enemy. "See, I can't expect to win against you, I just wanna ask you some questions-" The dog Pokemon sniffed and sighed. "Why, why didn't you hit me?!" his large pink ears perked up when he felt the frigid temperature drop.
"What do you mean?" the ice-steel type gently put, before she glanced over her wide shoulder. Two Pokemon approaches, I can sense one's heat. "You could win." She explained.
"Take me seriously!" the fairy-type growled before he popped a violent seed in his jaws. "Just who are you!?" His eyes flashed red as his offensive stats were heightened.
"I'm the one they call Zasha." The large mouse swiftly answered. "I always take my opponents seriously, I just happened to miss my first move." She sharpened her claws and jabbed forward with a silver shimmer. "It's nothing personal."
The Snubull under her gasped as he was pierced by the Metal Claw. "Boufshit." the fairy-type cried out. Blood slowly poured out his wound. He fell over and fainted before one of his reviver seeds activated.
"Oh?" Zasha murmured as her opponent recovered from his damage. "Well, come on, who's gonna lock me up?" she taunted before she beckoned forward with her claws.
Stunned after the light flashed all around him, CJ quickly pressed a paw to his injury. "It'll be us!" He answered and jumped back before he used Play Rough.
"Gah, damnit the wrong move!" He barked as the pixelated tackle just bounced off the Sandslash's spines. Scampering away the League member widened his eyes. Zasha grinned. She lowered her claws and stood back. "Wait, what are you doing!?" he whined.
The mouse lowered onto the grassy floor, her heels digging up the earth. "I said I would take you seriously didn't I!" She curled into a ball and began spinning. "Even though I want to stop running with this gang I still have to follow orders!"
Before Zasha could ram her quilly back into CJ a flaming hot blast launched her away. "WHY?! It was you!" a loud voice shouted.
Searing hot flames engulfed the ice-steel type, steam rising from her body. It was a Combusken, shit. Despite the strange grey molt on his head to his waist the bird's shape is unmistakable, and he is wearing the same armbands as those kids! Not good.
The moment the melting Sandslash unfurled Ignis shot his right leg out twice in a Double Kick directly at her ribcage. Zasha's thin bones shattered on impact. In agony, the gang member spat out blood before doubling over. "Submit!" the fire-fighting-type commanded when he saw the mouse's claws move.
In this gesture, she strained to use Drill Run to bash her pronged claws into her new opponent. "I'm sorry but I take every mission seriously, it's a matter of life and death for me!" The ice-steel type replied earnestly as she spun rapidly.
Zasha pulled her thick arms backward, ripping through her enemy's flesh before she pushed him away. Ignis screamed. His blood drops splattered. They stained his feathers as he was propelled backward.
Her combatant was caught by his Quilladin partner so he wasn't tossed aside. She placed the fire-fighting-type down and pivoted behind him to launch out a Roll Out. Unfortunately only Arbora's first powerful rock-charged assault managed to connect.
"This does not mean anything in the end!" Ignis yelled, his passion reignited in his fists. The mouse was smashed with a Thunder Punch, the uppercut at her jaw sent her flying back. "You killed!" the Young Fowl Pokemon screeched as his foe convulsed violently on the ground.
The Sandslash rolled over to try and catch her breath. "I wish, I didn't." she puffed before her head was forced to the earth by a clawed paw. Judging by the weight it must be the Quilladin's. Suddenly she felt a searing pain against her temple. "D-do, do what you must." the ice-steel-type lamented then everything in her sight went black.
Zasha was tied up and barely awake as she was dragged behind the two Pokemon. Ah, I'm alive? Her snout felt odd. Like it was throbbing. With a whine she licked her chops, tasting metal. Her blue eyes caught glimpse of a large caged muzzle clamping her jaw shut.
She then glanced up at the Guild Members, the Pokemon who had all the reasons in the world to kill her. But they didn't. "Oh," spoke up the spiny grass-type. She held the chain that restrained the Sandslash. Of course, she's lugging me around, they're right to arrest us all.
Arbora nudged her Teammate and tightened her grip on the bonds."You sure are tenacious, waking up after that." she continued before releasing the brace on Zasha's snout.
Ignis took it, placed it into a large bag, and bent down to wrap an extra material onto the bind on the ice-steel type's claws. As they traveled in silence he patted his ruffled feathers and sighed. The Young Fowl wasn't interested in his enemy anymore. Neither was the hedgehog beside him.
"Why?" Sandslash asked before she had a fit of dry coughing.
"Why what?" Interjected the strange grey feathered Combusken.
"Why did you let me live?"
"Oh that's simple, it's what they would want."
"What?"
"Franklin and Jonah, our apprentices."
"I-, I killed those young Pokemon! Don't you hate me?!"
"I hate what you did. I hate Wicked Blow. Yes, but I can tell every action you've made is not your own. You were forced."
"Yea but I could have refused! I was a fucking coward! I'd rather betray my Sentinels Oath than die."
"You feared death. But you still brought others to theirs. Despite the blood on your claws, you aren't evil."
"I, I don't need your pity! I shouldn't be alive! I should have let Amelia and her lackeys kill me back then!"
"I'm letting you live so you can reform yourself. I believe in you, you are stronger than you think!"
"You don't know anything about me! I-"
A violet slash clanged across from another room, then another loud bang.
"I, I should save my breath."
Blades of ice sliced through the air but then a powerful gust of wind tore throughout the area. Flurries of kicks smashed against Astesia's body before she shrugged it off and took to the skies again.
She pushed past her pain threshold and slammed directly into the Weavile with a Brave Bird. The weasel's body went limp for a moment before she was aware of her new situation. Shit! She's fucking carrying me! Though her shoulders were locked by the penetration of the Corivsquire's sharp talons Amelia slashed across her face and breast. With hatred in her eyes, the raven coated her wings in a sheen of silver before beating down on her enemy and releasing her iron grip, so the smaller Pokemon was launched away.
Decisive attack after attack landed after each previous successful bout so Asetsia thought the battle was over and ruffled her feathers. That damn Weavile faints after every blow, why won't she fall?
Jagged knives of ice danced in front of the flying-type, her instincts allowing her to dodge the initial barrage. "You think I won't knock you down again!" The enraged weasel raved before she raked her claws through the bird's thigh. Noticing the little effect she backed away before dashing off towards another room.
"I'm not the same!" The raven screeched before she swallowed stat enhancing seed after seed. Her looplet had two new emeras inside, a red and green.
Then she darted up the stairs to the third floor. Amelia tried to escape with a worn and bruised body, her pitiful tail behind her legs whilst she staggered. Her beady eyes widened when she glanced behind her to spot the Corivsquire approach.
The flying-type battered the Wicked Blow member with another Steel Wing. This sudden blow shattered the remaining strength that the Weavile had in an instant and she crumbled to the ground. Astesia wasn't satisfied. "I'll kill you! You deserve to die!" She roared irately. "You didn't keep any of our promises! Our Keeper's Promise!"
"Ones who break the Sentinels Sacred Oath need to be purged! They should repent with their deaths! Eliminate all those who fail!" The flying-type felt her pulse skyrocket. Death. Death, death! Kill. Kill. Kill! Kill her! Before her talons could tear before her beak could stab before her wings could slice before she fell down the downward spiral. The Corvisquire was stopped.
"Please Astesia, mate I don't know what she's done besides being a Wicked Blow member but you shouldn't kill her." Started an unfamiliar voice. When the raven craned her head to notice the Dewott, she was embraced under his plush fur. "It won't solve anything." He was wearing the Bristberg League scarf, so was his partner. Astesia relaxed.
Kneeling beside her, a Pignite started to tie up the unconscious Amelia. The black and orange Pokemon restricted her arms, wrists, and legs. He then placed a muzzle and blindfold over the Weavile. "Alrighty. Nice work." The swine called out happily. "Let's get going."
The pair slowly began to make their way out of the room to find the stairs and left the bird alone. Astesia sat along the floor as she slowed her fury. She stretched her wings before she began to fly. "You two are the guest members from Nebula correct?" She asked the foreign Pokemon once she caught up to them.
Remembering the raven was above him, the otter flashed a thumbs up. "Yea, I'm Tidal."
The tall ears on the fire-fighting-type who carried Amelia fell. "The name's Coal." He turned away and blushed.
"Ah Tidal and Coal, well what Team are you filling in for? The Corivsquire asked.
"Team Aegisdrip."
Back on the outside of Spine Woods Mystery Dungeon Kobi noticed an alarming presence. It all started with a thick cloud of purple haze, so she used Psychic to destroy it. "Makkuro." She meowed, her fur rising. The two were trailing far behind Team Sharp Claw, who followed a cart filled with practically every one of Amelia's grunts.
"Yes?" He swiftly responded.
"There's a Wicked Blow member trying to escape." The Espurr stated. "Be careful."
Makkuro stood up and sniffed the air before he glanced to the left and right. "There was a puddle with a body sticking out."
"Well it's not the Poochyena is it?"
"No, it was teal, purple, and yellow."
"Toxapex." He explained, his ears folded further against his skull. "I-" the puppy Pokemon was cut off when he was yanked from his position.
A large spiked tendril held him in the air. "Let him go!" Demanded Kobi, before she finally sensed the Brutal Star Pokemon's bloodlust. She launched out a Psychic that shook the water-poison type violently.
Makkuro slammed and dug his paws into the skin of his enemy with ground energy to knock him off-balance. "Who the heck are you?" He snarled.
The surprised Toxapex spat out blood. "I'M VOm!" He giggled maniacally before a large current of water enveloped him. Vom tossed the rock-type into the air and crashed his body into his. Instantly the Rockruff fainted from the Liquidation.
The Brutal Star Pokemon soon placed a Bubble Beam over the brown puppy's head. The Rockruff thrashed with all his might as the water completely engulfed his body. The Toxapex just laughed hysterically. His plan was to try and drown an incapacitated foe.
Once Kobi's purple eyes caught a glimpse of her protégé's intense suffering and instantly her ESP took control. The grey cat's white-tipped ears rose and it was over. Vom was already dead. A large explosion blasted through the area, rows of pine trees torn to pieces, the earth shattered. It was over. Team Sharp Claw, Team Rebirth, and Team Three-Point noticed the Espurr and her hurt companion.
"Wait, so this is your old partner?!" Linus gestured to the large Espurr beside his brother. She walked on four legs and carried a drenched Rockruff in her maw. There were two small saddlebags on her flank. "She's amazing! I couldn't recognize her because she's so big now!"
Hatchet looked up at the night sky, he then reached out with his free claw and ruffled the cat's matted fur. "Yup, this is Kobi." He then grinned. "I wish you came back home sooner."
The Espurr carefully placed down the puppy. Before she pressed a Reviver Seed into his mouth. "I'm sorry for the wait everyone, I've been waiting for this moment a long time," Kobi explained.
"Voltaru, you did a good job as a substitute." The Axew smiled.
The electric-type's ears twitched before they waved their slanted tail. "Thanks. But we aren't done yet, we still have to drop these guys off at the Wicked Blow Department." The Pikachu pointed to the various knocked-out Pokemon being pulled in a cart. Each one was bound by thick rope, whilst the stronger ones had their claws and muzzles bound.
The Pokemon continued on their way out of the forest. "Zasha told me something important," CJ spoke up suddenly as the group approached the red gates to Midori Mori City. "A Pokemon that was supposed to join us months ago, one we feared dead is alive."
"Wait," started the Totodile. "You can't mean-"
Nevada grabbed Glade's shoulder to calm her. "M-maybe."
Finally, Amelia Weavile's gang had been sent off with the Green Forest police. They were separated by how many crimes and violations they were known or revealed committed. Except two. Vom Toxapex had been slain and Poochyena was missing. Team Sharp Claw decided they were going to handle the dark type's escape. After all, they had special clearance.
Despite that fact, Team Three-Point went back home to the Strong Will Guild. "Farewell, see you all on the next joint mission!" Ignis chirped.
"Goodbye Bristberg League members, stay safe." Arbora waved.
"S-so this Rockruff, Makkuro. He's your new partner and he is a Keeper." Nevada repeated out loud whilst the League Members walked through the Bristberg Mountain range just outside of the town's reach. A sharp breeze bit around the corner. "You traveled through some dangerous places right?"
Kobi nodded. The Rockruff she had carried was now up, he was introduced to the other teams and was filled in on the situation. "Yeah, I found him in a village far past Pebble Creek. Then we secured the mana key and lock of water and bug from Mist Ravine Mystery Dungeon."
The rock-type shook his fur and sneezed. "Kobi must have talked about me while I fainted." He sniffed the Charmander before he wagged his tail. "What else did you all talk about?"
The Espurr beside him waved her short tail. "Not much, Hatchet wants me to be the team leader." Suddenly she felt a gentle tug in her head. Someone gentle, they approach and they plead for sympathy.
"Our new team?" Makkuro asked.
"Yep, Voltaru," The Pikachu snapped their head at the mention of their name. They widened their deep teal eyes. "You picked out the name right?" Kobi smiled into her question.
The electric-type grinned as well. "Yup, we are Team Deliverance! We promise to deliver the world from Wicked Blow!"
"That's a great name." CJ barked softly. "But it won't be finalized till we get back home."
It was eerily silent in the Bristberg Mana Research League. The tired travelers assumed it was simply because it was night time but once the chamber doors opened. "Halt, you in the shadows," Kobi commanded before everyone closed the gates. "Reveal yourself, now."
All the teams primed for battle and were on their guard in the painfully empty moments a black puddle of ink sloshed and bubbled.
"Uh, I'm sorry for hiding in the dark like that." A weak voice calls out before a grey and black-furred Pokemon completely materialized from a matte pool. It was a Poochyena with a wild unkempt mane of scruffy fur.
"Why the hell were you following us? You know who we are right?" Glade rightfully snarled at the unknown follower.
"Yes, yes I do, this is the Bristberg League." the hyena answered.
"But why are you here!?" Nevada was fearful as well and their tail flame grew. "We don't have time to play games!"
"Sorry. I, I'm finally able to join you now." the cub responded, her ears flat to their skull. Voltaru and the other Pokemon all stared at the hyena.
"Go ahead, we'll handle this." The Treecko and Corivisquire at the rear of the party narrowed their eyes. "Do you have any proof?" Astesia asked once all the other Pokemon were out of earshot.
She flew right in front of the cub and sat at her paws, Linus following. "I, I have this." The dark-type held out a folder. The Treecko scanned over the contents and then immediately rushed over to embrace the Poochyena.
"Oh goodness, Ariel, we were so worried about you! We thought you-, we feared the worst." He sobbed slowly. "I was so tired of losing, I am so tired."
The startled cub flinched under the warm hug of the Wood Gecko before they closed their eyes. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry." she whimpered out, a blush growing under their muzzle. The two sat still for several minutes.
"Can you call me Ars?" Linus heard the simple request from the flustered dark-type.
"Okay. Ars, you don't need to be sorry." the grass-type wiped a tear away from his yellow sclera. "It's fine. Don't be sorry."
Meanwhile, inside the building, the Teams were about to report to the Chief and Coordinator for the night when they noticed everything left on the front table. The room was dark, barely illuminated by about "A set of detailed instructions?" Hatchet lifted up a red folder labeled with his name. "Would they normally just leave notes for us?"
CJ rubbed his chin. "No, something seems off, I'll go check on them." The Snubbull then headed upstairs.
"Our new team mission is to go to the town of Pebble Creek to find our new transfer members." the striped dragon read.
"We are picking up four Pokemon." Kobi placed a white paw on the page. "Interesting."
Hatchet narrowed his eyes. "Then we're gonna look for Lua Buizel, a Keeper who was set to join our ranks." his crimson gaze hardened. "Then we need to deal with Kanamori Leafeon, another Wicked Blow gang leader. That's all for our Team, what are y'all ordered to do?" the green Pokemon glanced at his former teammates.
Nevada held the paper in their claws, eyes wide. "We, we have a long mission for the StrongWill Guildmasters-" The Charmander started before they were cut off.
"Woah wait! What!? It's back in my fucking hometown," Glade panicked. "What the hell is happening in the wetlands?"
