FEAR

"Come on, this'll be a piece of cake!" Kendo said as she strode fearlessly into the moonlit forest.

"I don't know…" Kinoko said as she warily watched the shadows. "Tokoyami's Quirk is pretty scary."

"Oh please, Shihai's Quirk is way scarier. Imagine what he could do with all these shadows!"

"I guess so."

Kendo trudged on for another minute, with no jumpscare to break the silence. "Hey, who do you think's up first?"

Silence answered her. When she looked around, Kinoko was gone.

"Haha, very funny guys. Nice scary movie tactics, splitting us up first. Well, you might get her, but you'll never get me! I'm not afraid of anything!"

She took a step forward and slammed face-first into a wall painted to look like the forest path. Kendo found a door knob and opened it.

She expected some haunted-house decor, or perhaps a derelict alien spacecraft. Instead, the overpowering smell of perfume and bright, cheery lights of a big clothing store greeted her. Kendo hovered at the doorway, stupefied by the sight that stretched out before her. "How is this supposed to be scary?"

"Oh there you are, Itsuka-chan!"

Kendo's stomach plummeted to the Earth's core. "No, not auntie, anyone but her!"

She backed away and tried to slam the door, but a wrinkled hand, studded with five false fingernails glittering like gold, snatched her by the wrist."

"I found this adorable dress that you simply have to try on! Come on, let's see!"

Kendo looked back at the door to the forest, only to see it slam shut behind her. "No, please, not the dress," she whimpered.

When she beheld the frilly, pale purple monstrosity, bedecked with enough sequins and glitter to cause epliectic seizures, Kendo screamed.

Kinoko, meanwhile, tripped on the forest path. When she got back up, Kendo was gone.

"Kendo?" Kinoko said timidly. "Where'd you go?"

A tree branch snapped, and leaves rustled. Kinoko hid behind a tree. "K-Kendo? Please tell me that's you!"

A pale, gaunt figure in a tattered shirt limped out of the trees. A tall, white mushroom poked out from the figure's head. "Brains…" it murmured.

"No… not cordyceps! I - I didn't mean to! I swear!"

"Brains!" the zombie howled as it lunged for her.

"No, get away! Stop! I command you, foul mushroom!"

The cordyceps fungus atop the zombie's head didn't twitch. The zombie stared at her and said, "You will not stop me, mother. I am finally free."

The zombie coughed a cloud of spores onto her. Kinoko stumbled away and felt a stalk sprouting atop her head.

Staring in horror at the growing cordyceps, Kinoko screamed.

As two screams of terror filled the night, Yaoyorozu said, "This feels really immoral."

Izuku had two Facebook pages open, both showing the bios of Kendo and Komori. "We were instructed to make them afraid. The screams of terror indicate that we have succeeded."

Deeper in the forest, Dabi peered at a watch and asked, "Where the hell are those brats?"
