RESCUE

"We need to get Deku away from the League of Villains!" Katsuki roared.

The assembled 1-A students exchanged surprised looks. "Wow," Sero said. "I didn't expect you to want to rescue him, given, you know…"

Iida adjusted his glasses. "Well, I find it quite commendable that you wish to come to the aid of your fellow classmate. However, it is against the rules to use our Quirks in public without the permission of our instructor, and Aizawa-sensei instructed us all to stay out of trouble while he deals with the hungry vultures." Iida blinked. "I was not aware that Japan had a vulture problem."

"Screw the rules!" Bakugo shouted. "If we don't act now, then humanity will be doomed! The whole world as we know it will be lost!"

"Dude, Midoriya's your whole world?" Kirishima asked. "I didn't think you swung that way, but it's super manly to be so open about it!"

"I'll swing at anything that's a machine! Microwaves, television sets, defibrillators, they're all plotting to take over the world!"

Kaminari shuddered. "I better keep my game consoles away from you."

"Harboring the enemy?" Katsuki grabbed Kaminari by the collar and scorched his shirt. "Where are they hiding, and how soon are they planning to kidnap the mayor?"

"The League's planning to kidnap the mayor?" Kirishima asked. "Then we better hustle!"

Ochako strode up and held out her fist. "We'll rescue Deku!"

Kirishima added his own fist. "We'll get back Katsuki's world!"

Katsuki thrust his own hand between them. "We'll stop their nefarious plans!"

One by one, the other students added their own hands. Iida hesitated, then said, "We shouldn't be doing this, but I can't let you go unsupervised! I shall join you all in whatever punishment you receive!"

"Alright then! Let's go rescue Izuku!"

"Yeah!" Katsuki added, "And smash Deku to pieces so the League can't use it!"

"Yeah!" Everyone echoed. "And smash Deku so - wait, what?"

"Katsuki!" Ochako shouted. "That's not rescuing him!"

"Did I ever say I was going to rescue that robot?"

Another hand joined the pile. "You are rescuing someone? Who are you rescuing?"

"We're rescuing… Izuku!" Mina shouted. "How did you get out?"

"The door was ripped off its hinges, so I walked over it."

"No, I mean… never mind."

Mineta dusted his hands. "Well, looks like we rescued Midoriya. Great job everyone!"

A shadow fell over them. "Did I just hear that correctly? You… rescued Midoriya?"

The students collectively gulped and looked up. Aizawa stared down at them and menacingly drank from his juice pouch.

"Uhm…" Mineta said, sweating, "We rescued him from… his boredom! Yes, that's it. So very bored! But now we're not bored anymore, right guys?"

Izuku frowned. "That is not what you said. You were saying you rescued me, were you not?"

Mineta trembled. "Y-you must have m-m-misheard me…"

Aizawa sighed. "Detention, all of you."

As everyone groaned, Izuku said, "I have not had detention before. Should I order pizza?"

And Izuku never got detention again.
