KAMINARI

"Anyone else want to go?" Kaminari asked as Mineta shuffled aside, shoulders slumped in defeat.

Izuku picked up the controller. "This game looks like fun. What is the objective?"

"Dude, you haven't played before?" Kaminari asked. "Don't expect me to hold back. I have a reputation to keep."

As Izuku picked his character, Kaminari asked, "Water Hose duo? Mid tier at best, and hard for beginners. Try someone else, as long as it's not All Might."

"This is fine."

Kaminari shrugged. "Your funeral."

Once the match began, Izuku pressed random buttons, making his characters jump, strike, and spray water randomly. Meanwhile, Kaminari deftly maneuvered Endeavor through the unfocused onslaught and launched Izuku off the stage. The two heroes plummeted aimlessly into the void.

"Try using Up-B next time," Kaminari suggested.

For the second stock, Izuku moved with a greater sense of purpose, avoiding Endeavor's hitboxes and blocking projectiles. When a block turned into a parry, Izuku played around with the mechanic before Kaminari blasted him off stage. Izuku jumped to the ledge, but Kaminari deftly slapped him off.

"Last stock, better get ready to feel the burn."

Katsuki, watching silently from the corner, said, "Don't let your guard down. Robots are sneaky little shits."

"Well, that's rude," Kaminari said as he threw everything he had at the Water Hose duo. Izuku parried every hit.

"Download complete," Izuku said. "Commencing attack."

On the next hit, Izuku attacked immediately off the parry. The two heroes worked in tandem, slapping Endeavor back and slipping him up with water until a well-timed combo attack spiked Endeavor off the side.

"Holy shit, that desync," Kaminari said, his jaw slack with shock. "How long have you been playing this?"

"Three minutes and twelve seconds."

Kaminari played more cautiously, but the slightest mistake turned into a thirty-hit combo and an unceremonious off-stage dunking. When Izuku's victory stage came up, Kaminari demanded a rematch. Izuku picked the Water Hoses again, while Kaminari hastily selected All Might and pressed start.

"Dude, that's not manly," Kirishima said, scowling.

"Whoops, it was a misclick," Kaminari said with a wolfish grin. "Ah well, let's play it out."

Kaminari rushed in, throwing a barrage of punches that could shatter shields and KO in one hit. Izuku parried each one and caught All Might in a combo. All Might took zero damage and barely flinched from each strike, but Izuku kept the combo going, using consecutive blasts of water to slowly but surely raise All Might higher. Eventually, All Might reached the top blast zone, soared towards the screen, and gave the camera a thumbs up before jumping back onto the stage.

"I didn't even know he had his own K.O. animation," Kaminari whispered in awe as All Might rose once more. In the end, the game was forcibly declared a draw, though everyone knew who really won.

"Well, at least that wasn't a tournament match," Kaminari said. "My reputation is secure."

Jirou smirked and held up her phone. "Fifty thousand views already."

Fifty points if you can guess which characters I based the Water Hose duo off of.
