KODA
'Thank you for coming with me,' Koda signed as he and Izuku approached a cat cafe. 'I've wanted to come here for a while.'
"It is no problem," Izuku replied as he held open the door. "I am very good at opening doors."
Puzzled, Koda walked in with Izuku. Cats roamed about the fuzzy furniture, bounding up perches and across catwalks overhead, lounging in people's laps and swiping food off of tables..
The waitress brought over cappuccinos the moment they sat down. While Koda sipped his, Izuku shoveled the entire mug into his mouth.
"Are you going to eat that?" Izuku asked, pointing at Koda's empty cup.
Koda passed his across the table, and down the hatch it went.
A cat hopped onto Izuku's lap. Purring like a motor, the cat leaned into Izuku's warm body.
'Wow, that cat really likes you,' Koda signed.
"Cats like me a lot. Mom never let me get one because they scratch anytime someone tries to pry them off me."
Hearing the sounds of feline bliss rumbling from the cat by Izuku, more cats came stalking over. Within minutes, Izuku had cats draped across his shoulders, clinging to his arms, rubbing against his legs, and otherwise taking up every square inch of available space radiating heat.
'Are you okay, Izuku?' Koda asked.
"I am in optimal physical condition," Izuku answered, his voice muffled by the sheer volume of purring cats covering him.
Koda tried reaching for one, telling the cat that it needed to come off, but the cat scratched his hand. Koda gawked, as for the first time, an animal refused to listen to him.
Screams came from the cafe's entrance, and customers ran for the emergency exits. Bigger cats barged in, a lion, a tiger, and a cheetah in a bear costume, oh my! The larger felines growled, and the army of small cats hissed and arched their backs, refusing to give ground. Koda backed away, his face nearly white from panic as the felines exchanged racial slurs and threatened genocide on their species.
Izuku stood, the cats covering his body like armor, and approached the lion. "You are a big cat," Izuku said as he scratched it behind its ear. "Who is a good boy?"
The lion gave a contented purr and rolled over for Izuku. As he rubbed its belly, the others came over, and before long, Izuku had three big cats clinging to his body.
'Are you sure that's safe?'
"I will not crush the cats," Izuku replied. "I learned how to control my strength."
As Koda pondered that worrying statement, the ceiling burst apart in a thunderous crash. A giant eye peered through the hole and widened when it saw Izuku.
A giant, furry body squashed the roof, burying half the cafe, as a cat the size of a skyscraper glomped Izuku.
From underneath the titanic cat, Izuku scratched its chin and said, "You are a very big kitty."
The cat's purring registered on seismographs across the world.
