It was a normal day in Smash Ultimate Mansion. Every room was now full since the inclusion of Sora. Some were happy with Sora joining them, others had some resentment. They would prefer it if it were another character, but it couldn't be helped. To celebrate the mansion finally being full, Pit suggested that everyone play a game of mafia, as it would last a while since there were more than a small group of 6 people. Kazuya thought it was a stupid idea, as it takes away time for training, but ultimately agreed to play, as one of his closest friends is surprisingly Pit, even though Kazuya dropped him into lava when he joined the roster. It's a weird friendship, but the two are close.

Corrin (F) brought in a deck of cards (with added cards from another deck, as one deck isn't enough). The roster agreed upon having 4 killers to make the game go by faster since there were 86 fighters. Pit explained that the Jack was the killer, Queen is the doctor, and the King is the seer. Pit explained the rules, and the cards were dealt out. The killers were Steve, Kirby, Olimar, and Wii Fit Trainer. The doctor was ironically Dr. Mario, and the seer was Duck Hunt.

It looked like it was going to be a quick game, because the roster were able to figure out 2 of the killers instantly, those 2 being Wii Fit Trainer and Olimar. Kirby was able to hide his facial expressions, and Steve had no expression at all since he's basically a block. About 30 minutes go by, and there's about 25ish people left in the game. The others who were out went to sleep, and Kirby was just found out by the remaining players. He was "killed off" by the villagers, and Kirby went to sleep. The game was just about finishing up. For some reason, some of the smartest people living in the mansion were still in the game. So Robin (M) was reading people's expressions, and making a note of how they act. Using his skills as a master tactician. Joker was doing the same, as he is another intelligent tactician. A few more minutes go by, and Joker and Robin finally figure out that the final killer is Steve, and the game ends. The remaining members all say good game and go to bed. However, that night would be the last time they would ever see each other as a group.

"Good morning everybody! I made breakfast!" an usually cheerful Lucina exclaimed. You see, Lucina is usually serious and formal, always trying to get better with her sword techniques. But this was one of the rare mornings where Lucina was happy.

"Uh… good morning, Lucina. You sure seem happy today," the still drowsy Richter asks, "did something happen?"

"Nothing too exciting, but the Hero King learned some new sword techniques, and he said he would teach me! It's always such an honor to learn from him!" Lucina replied, still happy.

"Lucina, how many times do I have to tell you? You don't need to call me the Hero King. You can call me Marth like Chrom does. We are related after all." Marth says. Now for those of you who don't know, in the Fire Emblem universe, Marth was the Prince of Altea, and obtained the name "Hero King" after defeating Medeus. Fast forward 2 thousand years later, Chrom is the prince, and eventually exalt (which is defined as hold (someone or something) in very high regard), of the Halidom of Ylisse. In his game (Fire Emblem Awakening), his daughter, Lucina, arrives from the future to help Chrom and Avatar (Robin) fight off evil, as Lucina's future is a dark one. She never returns, as she can't go back to her dark future, so she stays with her family. Additionally, Marth happens to be the ancestor of Chrom and Lucina.

"My apologies M-Marth. It's still a little weird, but I'll try my best." Lucina responds.

Rosalina steps in and asks, "Wait, why are you up so early anyways? Doesn't Mr. Game & Watch usually cook for us?"

"Well, I woke up at 4 and couldn't go back to sleep. So I got up to get a drink when I saw the light in Game & Watch's room was on, so I knocked and asked if I could cook today, and he said yes." Lucina adds, "Everyone's plate is on the counter over there, but I guess everyone else already figured that one out. I'm sorry for keeping you guys from eating."

"Don't worry about it." Marth responds.

Now would be a good time to explain some of the larger groups. This means how the fighters are grouped up. The first group is the swordies, which consists of Marth, Lucina, Chrom, Robin, Roy, Corrin, Ike, Byleth, Link, Young Link, Toon Link, Pit, Dark Pit, Pyra/Mythra (basically the same person, but only one can be present at a time), Cloud, Sephiroth, Ganondorf (Ganon for short), Joker, Hero, Shulk, and Mii Swordfighter. The second group are the animals, which include Yoshi, Ridley, Sonic, Incineroar, Lucario, Isabelle, King Dedede, King K. Rool, Banjo & Kazooie, Fox, Falco, Wolf, Greninja, Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Bowser, Bowser Jr, Piranha Plant, Pikachu, and Pichu. The third group is the princesses. This group includes Lucina, Peach, Daisy, Rosalina, Zelda, Sheik (which is just Zelda in disguise), and Corrin. The fourth group are the iconic ones. This group consists of Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Link, Zelda, Pikachu, Marth, Sonic, Captain Falcon, Bowser, Ganon, Peach, Daisy, and Rosalina.

Now onto the friend groups. Some of the more important ones are Pit, Sora, Kazuya, Kirby, and Jigglypuff. Another is Lucina, Robin, Chrom, Marth, Link, Yoshi, Steve, and Mii Brawler Colonel Sanders (who will be referred to as Colonel Sanders). The final important friend group is Mario, Luigi, Marth, Lucina, Corrin, Diddy Kong, Pyra/Mythra, Terry, and Lucario. Back to the story.

"Hey guys, where's Sora?" Pit asked in a somewhat confused manner.

Kazuya, a little confused, says "His plate is still over there. Maybe he slept in?"

"I suppose that's possible, but that's not like Sora. He usually gets up early to annoy us. It's nice to have some silence for once without hearing 'Back off!' or 'Take this!' every 2 seconds of my life." Dark Pit says, interrupting the conversation.

"Shut it, Pittoo. Remember, I can take away your powers with the snap of my fingers." Palutena replies.

"Don't call me that!" Dark Pit snaps.

"Just stop talking and I won't call you that. Anyways, back to the topic at hand, I heard Sora isn't here." Palutena replies.

"Dark Pit's right though, Sora usually is up early bothering us. Should we check up on him?" Kazuya asks.

"I think so. Wait… where is his plate?" Pit points out. Just then, from the halls of the mansion, a loud scream can be heard from throughout the halls. Most of the fighters freeze in shock while Robin, Marth, Chrom, Link, Yoshi, Steve, and Colonel Sanders all run, calling out for Lucina in a worried tone. Shortly after, the rest of the fighters follow after the group of friends. Robin is the first to get there.
