Hey, so before the chapter starts, I wanted to say that since there are so many characters, I'm just trying some things out. Some things later on in the story are just me going through some ideas. Some of them won't last, but just remember it's just an idea to see where things go. Finally, I'm not sure if I said this, but every character that dies has already been planned out, so apologies if your favorite dies. Anyways, time to continue where we left off
"Lucina, are you alright? Are you hurt?" Robin asks in a somewhat scared manner. Lucina can't do anything but cry due to the horrors she has seen. Just then, Chrom runs into the room with the rest of the group.
"Is everything okay?" Chrom asks.
Lucina finally speaks up, "Over there… h-he's dead."
The group looks over to where Lucina points, only to stop in horror at the sight of Sora, who has become nothing but a lifeless corpse. Meanwhile, Lucina continues to cry.
"Robin, get Lucina back to the dining area and get her some water. Yoshi, go get Dr. Mario. Everyone else stays here." Chrom orders. Everyone follows, but Yoshi doesn't make it a few steps before he runs into the rest of the fighters. He explains the situation to the best of his abilities and is able to get Dr. Mario into Sora's room.
"Mamma-mia! What happened here?" Dr. Mario asks.
"I'm not sure. All I know is Lucina said she was going to deliver Sora his food, and the next thing I know, Lucina just screams." Marth explains.
"The best thing we can do is call the cops. But based on the location on the mansion, it could take weeks for them to get here, maybe even months!" Dr. Mario exclaims.
"Alright. You examine the body the best you can, and then call the cops. I'll close off this room for now, and we'll all head back to the dining room and talk about it." Chrom says, establishing a leadership kind of role. Dr. Mario complies, and everyone slowly returns to the dining area, but not before getting a glimpse of Sora's lifeless body lying in a pool of his own blood.
An hour passes, and everyone is still waiting for Dr. Mario to return, slowly growing impatient. Finally, Dr. Mario returns with some news.
"Alright guys, I don't think it takes a professional to figure this out, but Sora was murdered. Stabbed over 30 times. Whoever did this wanted to make sure Sora wouldn't survive. On a separate note, I called the police. They'll be here in a month. No sooner, no later. All we can do is wait." Dr. Mario points out.
"So we're just going to be left in here WITH A MURDERER FOR A MONTH?" Zelda yells.
"Zelda, SHUT UP!" Sephiroth snaps, "Your yelling isn't going to get us anywhere!"
Link steps in and draws his sword, saying "If you have anything to say to her, then you'll have to fight me first."
"Great job Zelda, always relying on your bodyguard to step in and protect you any moment someone does anything around you. Hey, I figured it out! Maybe Sora said something to Zelda, and good ol' Linky boy here killed him!" Sephiroth replies.
"Excuse me?" Link replies.
Link draws his Master Sword from his sheath, and Sephiroth does the same with his Masamune. A huge fight starts between the two, with some of their friends getting involved as well. Sephiroth is about to kill Link when gunfire can be heard. Everyone stops frozen is fear, thinking yet another person has been murdered. However, that is not the case. It turns out it was Joker.
Joker, with his gun raised in the air, saying, "Can everyone calm down! What the hell is wrong with you guys! Someone dies, and the initial reaction for you guys is to try killing each other?"
Everyone remains silent. But then, Link speaks up, saying "I'm sorry. I get so defensive over Zelda because I'm sworn to protect her. If something happened to her, I could never forgive myself."
"That's no reason to start a fight! Now I suggest we all go back to our rooms for the rest of the day. Grab as much food as you'll need. We have a long day ahead of us. As for Chrom, you stay with Lucina. She still seems pretty shaken up." Joker replies, "Understood?"
Everyone complies, grabs some food items for the rest of the day. Chrom escorts his daughter back to her room where he will spend the day as well.
Location: Lucina's Room
"Are you doing alright? You still seem pretty shaken up." Chrom asks.
"No, I just saw Sora dead as soon as I walked in. There was blood everywhere. Was there anything I could have done? Could I have saved him?" Lucina had so many questions. She thought she might have been able to save Sora if she had gotten then sooner.
"I don't think there was any way for you to save him. He looked like he was dead for a while. You shouldn't blame yourself for his death." Chrom responds.
"I suppose you're right." Lucina answers, "Wait, does this have any connection to the murder mystery game we played?"
"It might. Could the killers be one of the 4 from last night?" Chrom asks.
"Maybe. Wait, I have an idea. Lucario can read people's aura, right? And Mewtwo is a psychic type, so maybe he can figure it out as well, right?" Lucina questioned Chrom.
"You're right, they can! We have to get to them, and fast. Their lives might be in danger!" Chrom replied in a worried manner. The duo quickly run out of the room, causing a commotion to begin in the halls of the mansion.
"You check on Lucario, I'll check on Mewtwo!" Chrom called out as they both separated.
"Understood!" Lucina called back. The two split up, with Lucina headed to Lucario's room and Chrom headed to Mewtwo's. With all of the commotion, more fighters began to come out of their room to see what was up, some of them thinking there was a fight going on. However, none of them were ready for what Chrom and Lucina would find.
