Lucina and Dr. Mario finally arrive at the infirmary with Joker, where Dr. Mario plans on performing surgery on the young Phantom Thief. Meanwhile, Robin has tried to calm everyone down, but everyone is still in a state of panic.

"Will you all please calm down!" Robin pleaded.

"How are we supposed to calm down, Robin! People are dying, and you want us to remain calm!" Richter snaps.

"It's better than staying in a mass panic!" Robin replies.

"So what should we do?" Rosalina asked.

"Try to stay with those you trust the most. Until then, I'm not sure what else to do." Robin answered. About a minute later, when groups were beginning to be made, Lucina returned with some news.

"Lucina! How's Joker?" Chrom asked.

"He's doing alright. Doc just finished the surgery, and Joker's expected to make a full recovery. Until then, Doc and I want you and Link to watch over him." Lucina replies.

"Why us?" Link interrogates.

"You two are skilled in using a sword. Father is more skilled than I am, and, well, you're the Hero of Time, Link. Plus, You two are the most trustworthy of everyone here." Lucina answers. Chrom and Link leave to watch over Joker, and Robin fills Lucina in on what is happening.

"So since we're splitting up into groups, should all of us stick together?" Marth asks. The only people left around were himself, Lucina, Robin, Rosalina, Byleth, Yoshi, Terry, Richter, and Daisy.

"Sure, why not? Plus, you and Lucina can practice your sword skills, which can work as a distraction for us. Hell, maybe we can even get some training in, if that's alright with you, that is." Terry points out.

"That sounds great!" Marth exclaims.

"Should we go out to the training grounds?" Lucina asks.

"Yeah! Let's go!" Yoshi replies, somewhat rushingly. The group finally gets to the training grounds, however, some of the swords some fighters leave there were missing.

"Huh? Where's my Falchion? I could have sworn I left it here yesterday." Lucina mentions.

"That's weird… I saw you leave it here yesterday. Everyone left their swords here, but your sword, Joker's dagger, Robin's Levin Sword, and even Richter's whip are missing. Who took them?" Marth questioned, "And where are Byleth's weapons?"

"I keep mine on me at all times." Byleth replies.

"What should we do?" Rosalina asks, "Should we investigate the missing weapons?"

"I suppose we should." Byleth responds, "But you guys should still train. Me and Rosa here will be fine looking around."

"I can just use my father's sword in the meantime. I know he won't mind. Thank you guys for going to look. And be careful!" Lucina calls out as Rosalina and Byleth head back into the mansion. After the two went back into the mansion, Lucina and her idol, Marth, began to spar. The clashing of the swords was the only thing the group could hear. It was quite the intense fight, but both refused to stop. The rest of the group was in shock because of how furious both of them were fighting. The Hero King and the Princess of Ylisse clashed swords again, but this one sent them both backwards.

"Come at me!" Lucina taunted.

"I won't lose!" Marth responds.

However, before the two could continue, a sword suddenly came out of nowhere, headed straight for Lucina.

"Watch out!" Byleth yells out. However, it is too late, and the sword, which happens to be Lucina's, impales the young Princess. Blood begins to soak her clothing, and slides down both the sword and her body. Lucina then falls to her knees, begging to see her father one last time. The rest of the group can do nothing but cry as their friend's life slowly fades away. Weakened, Lucina cries out in pain one last time before she falls to the ground, dead.
