Dirty secrets
The time it read on Reese's helmet was zero dark thirty, but yet with the moons light it felt like it was mid day for Reese.
"Why are you standing on the roof, looking at the moon?" Yang asks over the radio.
"I don't get to have peaceful moments when I'm on missions so I'm taking a moment to appreciate its beauty." Reese says back.
"Well I hope you realize that your mother is watching you too." Yang says.
"I know she is. Winter probably has a secure link to my armor's camera so she can see what's going on." Reese says.
"Wait Winter is there? Hi sister." Weiss says.
"She can't hear you, but she can hear me." Reese says.
"Not fair." Weiss says as she walks out of view of the camera.
"Your objective is to find incriminating evidence that Lionheart is suspected of having." Winter says.
"Got it." Reese says as he grabbed his smg and loaded a mag in it.
"Mission start." Winter says.
CLACK! That was the sound of the bolt loading a round into the chamber.
Reese then activated his speed enhancement on the armor where he ran and jumped across the rooftops of houses.
"How does he move like that?" Ruby asks.
"What he is doing is called enhanced urban movement. He spent a long time training for that." Winter says to Ruby.
"So how does he know where to go?" Yang asks.
"Well the a.i has plotted a course for him to traverse and all Reese has to do is move in that direction and the armor will do the rest." Winter says.
"Humph fancy tech." Qrow says.
"Well that fancy tech can outdo most skills that normal huntsmen can't achieve." Yang says.
"Even without it I can still keep up with a huntsman in terms of speed and fighting skills." Reese says.
"I have yet to see those "skills" you have." Qrow says.
Reese then stops on one rooftop.
"Yeah me too listen I'm on a mission right now so why don't you wait right there, and when I get back I can show you the skills." Reese says.
Reese then gets to the very top of Haven academy and finds the only point of entry is a window that's 15 feet down.
"Wonderful. Now how is he supposed to get down, he is not packing any rope." Weiss says.
"Watch." Winter says.
Reese then looks at his gloves then mini spikes came out of his hands and his feet then he goes inverted and starts climbing down.
"He is upside down and he is climbing down. Now I've seen everything." Ruby says.
Reese then opened the window with his knife, and as he entered he activated his active camouflage.
"Patty enter the security system and tell me where Lionheart is?" Reese asks.
"Done. I have control over the system. That was simple." Patty says.
"Ok talk to me what is he doing?" Reese asks.
"At his desk working on something. I'll take a look." Patty says.
Reese then waits a moment then she comes back.
"Well the building's security was simple to get in, but his computer that's another story." Patty says.
"So we are going to have to be direct." Reese says.
With his memory Reese was able to get to the door that led to the office, now Reese had to wait.
"Come on leave." Reese said quietly.
Then Lionheart left.
"Your clear go." Patty says.
Reese then opened the door and entered the office and went straight to the computer.
"Humm he locked it, need a password." Reese says.
"Connect me." Patty says.
Reese then touched the computer and she jumped to the computer from the armor.
"Reese did you do a thermal scan of the building?" Winter asks.
"No. Why do you ask?" Reese says.
"Because there are two signatures on the same floor. And the other one is not yours." Winter says.
Reese then went into high gear the spike of adrenaline in his system was making him move more precisely.
"Where?" Reese asks.
"Door to your left." Winter says.
Reese then looked at the door and approached it and slowly turned the knob.
Just then something flew out at Reese, well he did not get a good look at it but it started attacking him with multiple blades on the end of it's long appendages.
PEEW!PEEW!PEEW!PEEW!
Four shots was all Reese needed to take down the mysterious creature. Reese then got to look at it and he noticed it was black and red like a Grimm.
"What are you?" Reese said.
"Who are you?" Lionheart said.
Reese then looks up to see professor Lionheart standing at the doorway with a weapon.
"Busted." Yang says over the radio.
"Reese k.o him we need him alive." Winter says.
Reese then drops his smg.
"Smart man now how about you remove that helmet." Lionheart says.
Reese then slowly removed his helmet while it said ARMED in the visor. Then he tossed it near Lionheart.
"You! You were with Qrow. Explain yourself." Lionheart says angrily.
Reese didn't say anything but instead pointed to his helmet.
Lionheart then looked down at it, when his eyes made contact with the helmet.
BANG!
The helmet flashed and made a loud noise to disorientate Lionheart, and gave Reese enough time to disarm Lionheart.
"Don't kill me please I'm begging you." Lionheart says.
"Wow from aggressive to cowardly in a few seconds." Reese says.
"Nope today is your lucky day your not going to die instead you're going to tell me what's up starting with what is really going on?" Reese asks.
"What do you want to know?" Lionheart asks.
"Where are the huntsman that are supposed to be here?" Reese asks while he picks up the helmet.
"What do you mean?" Lionheart asks.
"You know what I mean when I say look up section 29 of the town's charter." Reese says.
"We had increased Grimm activity for a while." Lionheart says.
"Go on." Reese says.
"Well I don't want to waste your time so how about we…" Lionheart was about to say but was cut off.
Reese first deactivated his radio then his cameras so that the team could not see him. Reese then grabbed Lionheart by the shirt.
"Maximum strength." Patty said as Reese lifted Lionheart over to the balcony.
"Gee I wonder if your aura could handle a drop like this." Reese says.
"No don't drop me! I have a job to do!" Lionheart says.
Reese then threw him back to his chair.
"What job?" Reese asks.
"It's only for her benefit." Lionheart says.
"Who is she?" Reese asks.
"She is the one who will rule this ack!" Lionheart says but is now clutching his chest.
"I'm familiar with false tactics to fake a medical condition. Get up." Reese says.
Just then Lionheart coughs up blood.
"That you can't fake. Commander target is having a problem." Reese says.
"What kind of problem?" Winter asks.
"Target is coughing up blood." Reese says.
"I've dispatched the medical team. They will be there in a few minutes." Winter says.
Just then a new sound came up.
RIPPPPP!
That was the sound of flesh being ripped apart.
"WHAT THE SHIT!" Reese shouts as he draws his Blackhawk (DEW).
Reese was now the first witness to see a Grimm come out of Lionhearts chest killing him instantly, what the Grimm looked like was a small beowulf about two feet high when on all fours.
But Reese was not going to let it live.
PWEEEWEP! BOOM!
The little monster blew up leaving no trace of it's existence.
"Winter Lionheart is dead, Grimm came out of his chest." Reese says as he walks to a window.
"What are you going to do?" Winter asks.
"Go home." Reese says.
One hour later.
"It's been over an hour Yang. Reese is going to be out for a while, go to bed." Ruby says.
"I'm his wife, I'm going to wait." Yang says.
She didn't have to wait for too long. THUMP!
Yang then ran out to the rooftop to see Reese.
"Don't come close." Reese says as he walks back in.
Yang then noticed the blood on the armor.
"What happened? Did you do what I think you did to him?" Yang asks.
"No I didn't I was a witness to a new type of Grimm." Reese says.
"What kind?" Qrow asks.
"One that kills you from the inside of your body." Reese says.
"How is that possible?" Ruby asks.
"Don't know, don't care, I've seen enough for tonight I'm going to bed." Reese says as Yang follows him.
"What else is new?" Ruby asks.
"Well don't be surprised when you turn on the news and see something new." Reese says as he closed the door.
