Chapter 5
Problems.
Reese and Yang woke up at the same time, but before Reese could pop his neck Yang ran right at him.
"Do we have to do this every time we wake up?" Reese asks.
"I want to be a better fighter." Yang always says.
"Ok then but before we start, your shorts are undone." Reese says.
In that second Yang looked down then next thing she knew there was Reese right in front of her.
POW! Reese hit Yang in the gut.
"Hey that was a cheap shot." Yang says as she regains her composure.
"Any enemy will take advantage of any flaw on you. Focus on them." Reese says as he reads himself.
Yang then gets her fists up and begins the engagement.
HIT! STRIKE! HIT! HIT! POW! SMACK! HIT!
They made their way to the roof and they continued to mock fight each other.
"Your getting better Yang but what are you going to do to end this?" Reese asks.
Yang didn't respond; instead she did a low kick to Reese's legs.
"Saw that coming." Reese say s as he jumps to avoid her kick.
Then Yang stopped midway through her kick then she jumped right at Reese while he was in the air.
"Oh." Reese thought.
WHAM! They both hit the ground with Yang on top of Reese.
"I win." Yang says as she leans in.
"Yep you did. Can you get off please?" Reese asks.
"Hummm nope." Yang says as she kisses Reese.
"Hey Reese you have a letter from someone AHHHHHHH!" Ruby says.
"What?" Reese says.
"Get a room you two." Ruby's says as she looks away.
"Hey you might be in the same situation someday." Yang says.
"Yeah right. Well here your note Reese." Ruby says.
"Who is it from?" Yang asks.
"I think I know who it is." Reese says as he opens the note.
"Market garden." Was all the note said.
"Got to go Winter is here." Reese says.
"How does she move that fast?" Yang says.
"I honestly don't know, it's like I do something and she is there." Reese says as he holsters the dew and his 45.
"How long will you be gone?" Yang asks.
"Don't know but I'll be fast." Reese says as he jumps out the window.
10 minutes later.
Reese was now in the market area looking for Winter but he was on edge, because where she moved she might be being followed by Atlas agents.
"Patty find Winter." Reese says.
"Got it." Patty says.
After a few seconds Patty came back.
"I found her. She is waiting for you." Patty says.
"Any threats?" Reese asks.
"One. A sniper." Patty says.
"How far?"Reese asks.
"A 100 yards." Patty says.
Reese then looks around and sees a high point and with the zoom enhancement on his tac glasses and he saw a guy with a small rifle.
"What are you going to do?" Patty asks.
"Call the authority's and report something." Reese says.
"What are you going to report?" Patty asks.
"Something. Call them." Reese says as he takes off his jacket.
Reese then covered his 45 with his jacket and fired into the ground.
BANG! BANG!
Then the people started to run and panic.
"Hello police department." Said the receptionist.
"Yes there have been shots fired in the market. There is someone on a radio tower." Reese said in his panic voice.
"Units are on their way. Do you know how many people are hurt?" She asks.
Reese didn't answer but instead went right to Winter where she was on edge.
Reese then grabbed her arm and leaned in.
"Come." Reese said.
Winter followed Reese until they were in the clear.
"Sitrep I only have a few minutes." Winter says.
"Lionheart was working for someone but before I can get information out of him he was killed." Reese says.
"How was he killed?" Winter asked.
"Small Grimm ripped out of his chest a very painful death." Reese says.
"Did you get anything out of his computer?" Winter asks.
"Patty transfer files." Reese says.
Winter checked her pda and saw a new file.
"I'll look this over when I get back. Aside from that how is everything?" Winter asks.
"Well we got most of the team back together but we are still missing Blake I don't know where she is." Reese says.
"Well we got a report of a mass amount of faunas getting on a boat and moving this direction." Winter says.
"I don't find that odd sounds like they are immigrating." Reese says.
"After a house burnt down and an attack on the belladonna family." Winter says.
"I'll take that back. Now it's odd." Reese says.
"Is there anything you know right now that could be important?" Winter asks as she leans in.
"No I'm not." Reese says as he stares back.
"Ok. But you should know that there is a massive amount of white fang moving in. Best guess they will be here tonight." Winter says.
"Got it. I have plenty of ammo. What are they planning to do?"Reese asks.
"My guess they are here to take down the academy." Winter says.
"Now I understand what Charles was saying when I interrogated him." Reese says.
"What do you mean?" Winter asks.
"What I mean is he said the White Fang have something planned for the academy's but before he could tell me he died." Reese says.
"So what are you going to do about this?" Winter asks.
"Not let it fall." Reese says.
Later that night.
"Reese you sure that they are coming?" Ruby asks.
"My mothers intel never lies, they are coming." Reese says back.
"Well can you use Patty to confirm to you that they are here?" Weiss asks.
"Your asking if I should use the satellite to see if they are here? Well that satellite is out of range I have to wait six hours before I can use it." Reese says.
"Well then how will you know that they are coming?" Weiss asks.
"The White Fang are 2000 yards out and closing." Reese just said.
Everyone then took a look but didn't see anything.
"Har har Reese not funny." Qrow says.
"Oh I forgot you don't have the technology that I have." Reese says as he puts on his helmet.
Through the scope of the DMR Reese could see them moving in very slowly. They were armed with a lot of outdated weapons, but Reese knew they could hurt someone.
"Well if you can see them why don't you fire?" Qrow asks.
"I could but i don't want to yet. I want them a little closer." Reese says as he holds a detonator.
"What is that to the right?" Yang asks.
Reese then diverts his attention and sees another group of people but they weren't in the White Fang outfits.
"They are some individuals but i cant make them out." Reese says.
"Even with his gear he cant see certain objects or people." Qrow says.
"Well i have the scope that can let me see out to a mile and a half." Reese says as he bends down to a bigger case and opens it up.
"Now this can let me see that far out." Reese says as he loads the 55 cal up.
Now that got Ruby's attention.
"Oh how far can that go?" Ruby asks.
"Well specs say 1.6 miles but it's true distance is unknown." Reese says as he zooms in on the second group.
"What do you see?" Yang asks.
"Well is see a lot of faunas and they are mad at something. i can't make out what they are saying. But i do see oh no." Reese says as he lowers the rifle.
"What? What? What did you see?" Ruby asks.
"The Belladonna family." Reese says as he rubs his eyes.
"That means Blake is there. Why are you worried all of the sudden you don't want to see Blake?" Yang asks.
"No it's not that. It s the fact I have seen her parents at a party a long time ago, and they said if they see me again they would sit down with me and have a talk." Reese says.
"Oh i remember that you told me about that." Yang says.
"What are you two talking about?'' Ruby asks.
"Um a mission where I was sent to "retrieve" a man named Charles. But he was murdered before we got to him." Reese says.
"Who is "we" Reese?" Weiss asks.
"My team Crystal, Jack, and Kathrin. Together we made squad 16 of the Atlas Predator project." Reese says.
"And you were the ones who rescued my brother?" Weiss asks.
"Yep." Reese says back.
"Reese, it looks like they are very close." Yang says.
Reese then takes a look and indeed they were at the gate.
"Well it's time to start this party." Reese says as he grabs the clacker.
Reese then waited for the White Fang to breach the gate and walk 10 feet to where he has a "surprise" waiting for them.
They then entered the courtyard and made their way to the building, unaware that someone had his crosshairs on them.
"Good bye." Reese said as he hit the detonator.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
The explosives that Reese planted contained anti aura dust rounds in them that effectively took out most of the white fang.
Then the white fang opened fire but didn't know where to start.
"Maximum Armor." Reese commanded.
The armor did as it was told and it hardened.
Reese then got out from cover and started to engage the white fang.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Reese's dmr barked and every time it barked some bad guy went down, at the same time the rest of team RWY plus Qrow went down to engage them with their weapons.
Now reese saw something that his dmr wont stop an armored jeep.
"Patty, fast response can the 55 go through the armor?" Reese asks as he picks up the large rifle.
"Yes, hit here with a API." Patty says as she puts a mark on the jeep.
Reese then slammed a mag into the gun and got ready to fire until he heard someone was walking up on him.
"Watch your left." Patty says.
Reese got out of the way just in time to see a red bladed katana.
"I will not let you interfere with my plans." said the guy with hair.
Reese's helmet lit up with information.
"Adam you are wanted for numerous crimes sadly you're not walking away in cuffs." Reese says as he dual wields a stun baton and his anti aura katana.
"Thats new most people don't know my name." Adam says.
"What are you after?" Reese asks.
"Not much i'm after her." Adam says.
Now Reese knew who the most dangerous white fang members were but there was one who Atlas intel didn't know about now all of it, but now the dots connected.
"Blake." Reese thought internally.
"Well your in my way." Adam says as he runs forward to hit Reese.
CLANG! Reese blocked Adam's sword.
"You think it's going to be that easy?" Reese asks.
But before Adam could respond Reese kicked him off the balcony. Then Reese went after him after he locked out his 55 and put the dmr on his back.
WHUMP! Reese landed on the ground.
"What are you?" Adam asks.
"Your worst nightmare." Reese says as he activates the dragon program.
CLANG! WHOOSH! STRIKE! SLICE! CLANG! CLANG! CLANG! SLICE! SLICE!
Reese was making progress but at the same time he got hit to.
CLANG! This time their swords locked.
"You're bleeding." Adam says.
"So are you." Reese says back.
"Reese!" Yang says.
"Humm." Both Reese and Adam looked over.
"He is the one who took my arm off!" Yang shouts.
Reese then looked back and now was mad.
"You hurt her? How about I return the favor?" Reese says.
CLANG! CLANG! CLANG! SLICE! MAXIMUM STRENGTH! KICK!
In one fluid motion Reese hit Adams sword a few times then broke his block then took off Adam's left arm. Where Adam took Yang's arm just below the elbow. Reese took the whole arm off. Then he kicked him away so that Adam was out of the fight.
Reese then heard something new.
"FALL BACK OUR LEADER IS DOWN!" someone among the ranks said.
But Reese wasn't going to let them get away.
BOOM! One down.
Just then Yang punched Reese.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Yang shouts
"My job, have you forgotten what my job is supposed to do?" Reese asks.
"YEAH WHEN YOU WORKED FOR ATLAS! BUT YOUR WITH TEAM RWBY WE DON'T DO THAT!" Yang shouted as her eyes flashed to red.
Reese then turned around and walked away.
"One last thought Yang if you were running would they extend the same courtesy, and i found Blake you both need to have a talk." Reese says as he turns invisible.
"REESE WAIT!" Yang says with tears in her eyes, but too late he was gone.
"You know kiddo, I may not like him but he has a point. I have seen many huntsmen, huntress and others get killed when they decide to run away from a bad situation, so think about that for some time then when you're ready talk to him and apologize." Qrow says as he walks away.
Yang for once ever since the day she was married she had an argument with Reese and he left her alone and now she feels empty.
"Yang we need to talk." Blake says.
"Not right now I need to find my husband and talk to him." Yang says as she runs back to the hotel.
10 minutes later.
Yang entered the room she shared with Reese to find that he left his weapons there but he wasn't, where he was located was on the roof of the hotel the whole team was living in.
"Come on where are you? You always leave clues." Yang says as she looks around.
Then she saw it a drop of his blood. It was small but it led out to the patio, then it stopped no more droplets within 5 feet of the last known position.
"Where could he have gone?" Yang says to herself.
Then the thought hit her. "Roof." Yang said.
She found a low spot and there was another drop but she didn't need to look down any more. She saw a figure in armor and draped with a blanket.
Yang then slowly got closer; she didn't know how he would react when he saw her, then she stopped 10 feet from him remembering that he could hear her from 300 yards away.
"Reese." Yang said.
"5 minutes and 55 seconds. For you to track me." Reese said.
"I'm not concerned about that. I'm concerned about you." Yang says.
Reese then stood up and turned around to look at her, with the moonlight behind him the goggles had a more terrifying look to them.
"Stand your ground." Yang thought.
"Why did you run from me?" Yang asks.
Reese stayed silent.
"Answer me." Yang says.
"I don't have to explain my actions to you." Reese says.
"Yes you do i'm your wife i trust you and you trust me. What is going on that your not telling me?" Yang asks.
"If you trust me why are you standing away from me?" Reese asks.
Now Yang is afraid of Reese; she has seen what his capabilities are in and out of the armor. But it was a valid question why was she standing that far away from him.
Yang then walked forward shaking with fear then she got within 2 feet of him and she reached up and took off the helmet.
"Your turn." Yang says.
"Remember when Winter said I was "Programed"?" Reese asks.
"Yes." Yang says.
"Well one of the commands that was put into my brain was "Eliminate the white fang no survivors." was the exact order in my head that Winter could not remove." Reese says.
"So gen Ironwood made an order you cant ignore?" Yang asks.
"Sadly yes. Thats why i don't trust him." Reese says as he turns away.
"Well you do realize that our destination is Atlas right?" Yang says.
"Yes i know that and he is still going to try to eliminate me. And before you say anything about protecting me, remember I don't exist. " Reese says.
Then Yang hugged Reese and held on.
"You exist here and now and nothing you say will make me change my mind." Yang says.
Reese said nothing but just continued to look at the night sky.
"Come on lets head to bed together." Yang says.
"It's nice out here i was planing to stay out here when you came back." Reese says
Yang then took the blanket and wrapped herself in it.
"Well it looks like your going to have to share it with me." Yang says with a grin.
"Alright." Reese says as he gets next to her.
"Night love." Yang says.
"NIght my love." Reese says back.

Wow this took a long time to write out. I have just a few things to say.
One i am not putting the relics in the story they just don't fit into the plot line for this story
Two the next chapter will be the last one where it follows the show, after that it's all made up.
