Must be doing something right if I am getting more reviews then I was on Mobile Suit Rwby and on certain chapters of my Lone Wolf series. Must be because of the legends material I am using from before Disney's purchase of the franchise. But that doesn't mean I am going to include my own twist to certain characters from the Clone Wars and changing the fates of quite a few soldiers and Jedi who died during the war. But that is a long way away.

Onto reviews

Aya Song: I'm still trying to figure out the whole Galen paring part right now. Now that doesn't mean that Galen will or won't have an interest in someone from Remnant.

Infinite Chronicles: Thanks for those words. Like I said, I'm still working on the whole paring idea and I have no idea what a Force Dyad is.

ChunkyFunkyMunky: You may have not seen a successful Galen pairing in some crossovers because of the OOC of characters, but that's not going to happen here. As for my hatred of Harem's, lets just say I've seen a few harem themed stories where there are a lot of… Lemon scenes and I don't like those either.

Zephry47: Glad you like this story. There's a reason the Magna Guards were on Remnant but that will be explored later on. Not sure if the pairing will Yang and Galen, but I could always have Yang try and help Galen come out of his shell. As for Vader and the Empire arriving on Remnant, that's not going to be for a while.

Darth Cody: Thanks for those words. Now depending on what I do for the pairing. I'm not going to force it but have it develop over time.

To the Guest reviewers: I will agree Fordo is one of the best Clones, but Rex is always my top favorite. Speaking of Clones, there will be a special surprise involving certain troopers and a favorite Togruta of mine along with the Kel Dor she respects. The Force isn't pushing all these people to Galen, but he just runs across them. As for where Raven got the saber from, there are many secrets on the world of Remnant.

Alright, let's get started. Disclaimers are the same as always please enjoy.

Chapter 3: The Shining Beacon

Ruby's amazement was quick to turn to shame as Glynda paced around the room of the police station they were sitting around and she could clearly tell that the Huntress was not happy. "I hope that you realize your actions tonight will not be taken lightly, young lady. You put yourself and others in great danger." Glynda scolded.

"They started it!" Ruby protested.

"If it were up to me, you'd be sent home… With a pat on the back…" Glynda began, noticing Ruby's smile. "…And a slap on the wrist." She added, demonstrating with her riding crop, which Ruby narrowly avoided and squealing in the process. "But… there's someone here who would like to meet you."

Moving out of the way, a surprised Ruby watched as a man in green came through the doorway holding a mug and plate of cookies. "Ruby Rose." The man began before leaning in to look at her face. "You… have silver eyes."

"Uh, um…" Ruby said nervously.

"So! Where did you learn to do this?" the man asked, holding the tablet Glynda was holding which recorded all of her fight between herself and the goons.

"S-Signal Academy." She hesitantly replied.

"They taught you to use one of the most dangerous weapons ever designed?" the man asked.

"Well, one teacher in particular." Ruby answered.

"I see." The man began before putting the plate of cookies down on the table in front of Ruby. Unsure of what the man was getting at, she picked up one of the cookies eating it in one bite before shoveling the rest into her mouth. "It's just that I've only seen one other scythe-wielder of that skill before. A dusty, old crow…" the man stated.

Ruby said something through her full mouth which neither the man of Glynda could understand but she was quick to swallow the cookies and wiped her mouth, embarrassed at how she said her last sentence. "Sorry. That's my Uncle Qrow! He's a teacher at Signal. I was complete garbage before he took me under his wing. And now, I'm all like- Hooowaaah! Witchaaaa!" she explained, making some karate-style poses and noises.

"So, I've noticed." The man said placing his cup on the table as he leaned in and took a seat on the opposite side. "And what is an adorable girl such as yourself doing at a school designed to train warriors? The man asked.

"Well… I want to be a Huntress." Ruby said.

"You want to slay monsters?" the man inquired.

"Yeah! I only have two more years of training left at Signal! And then I'm going to apply to Beacon! You see, my sisters starting there this year, and she's trying to become a Huntress and I'm trying to become a Huntress 'cause I wanna help people. My parents always taught us to help others, so I thought, hey I might as well make a career out of it!" She said talking faster and faster with enthusiasm in her voice. "I mean the police are alright, but Huntsmen and Huntresses are just so much more romantic and exciting and cool and really, gosh, you know!" she said with a giggle flipping out at the last part and staring at the two with a wide, crazy smile.

Both Glynda and the man studied her for a moment before the man spoke. "Do you know who I am?" he asked.

"You're Professor Ozpin. You're the headmaster at Beacon." Ruby stated.

"Hello." Ozpin said with a smile.

"Nice to meet you." Ruby answered.

"You want to come to my school?" Ozpin asked.

"More than anything." Ruby answered.

Ozpin looked to Glynda who disapproved of the idea, before turning back to Ruby. "Well, okay." He said. Ruby smiled while hers went wide and her mouth opened with excitement.

Ruby was soon escorted out of the police station where she headed back home more excited than she had ever been before in her life while Glynda looked to Ozpin. "Are you sure it's wise to let her in? She's far too young for the school." Glynda said, voicing her concern to Ozpin.

"She's more than ready for Beacon. But I think we should turn our attention to the 'Wandering Huntsman.'" Ozpin told Glynda as the two went to the next room where Galen was sitting. When they entered the room, they found Galen sitting on the floor in a meditative pose. "I'd never thought I would lay eyes on another Jedi in my life time. I heard from the last one before he passed that your kind were being hunted down. Tell me, who is your master?" Ozpin asked.

Galen's eyes opened up and he looked to both Ozpin and Glynda. "So, you know about the Jedi? I take it one of them survived Order 66 and made their way to this planet. Well let me clear something up. I'm not exactly one of the 'traditional' Jedi." Galen began, getting up from his pose and took a seat at the table.

"Why don't we start with your name." Glynda demanded.

"First off. My name is Galen Marek. Second, I'm sure you believe me about my origins or who my master was." Galen answered.

"Try us." Glynda answered.

Galen sighed and told them everything. He told them about how he witnessed the death of his own father when he was a year old before being taken by the one who killed his father and raised him into an assassin. He told them about the lies Vader had poisoned his mind with, the cruel and harsh training he underwent so his skills would be more powerful then many of the Jedi he would encounter.

He then went on to explain how he tracked down and killed several Jedi including Kazdan Paratus and Shaak Ti. He told them about how he was betrayed by his master and almost killed before being ordered to gather those that were willing to fight the Galactic Empire together so they could overthrow the Emperor only to be betrayed again and left for dead for a second time.

But when he was asked about how he arrived on Remnant, Galen didn't hide the fact about how one minute he was on a gigantic unfinished battle station pushing back the Emperor's attack providing his allies the chance to escape before he blacked out and found himself in a settlement in Vale. He would have said something about Summer and Sienna, but he didn't want to mention anything about them at least not yet.

"Well, I must say that is quite the story you have told us." Ozpin said. "You've made quite a reputation for yourself among the people. I've heard from one of my associates that the people you've helped have all said great things about you. You've given them hope when they needed it the most. Which is why you have two choices. One, we let you leave the police station and you can continue traveling aimlessly trying to find your new purpose. Or you could attend Beacon."

"You want me to take classes at Beacon?" Galen asked.

"You are of age to attend classes at Beacon or any of the other academies and we can provide you with everything you need from books to the uniform our students wear. That and I am sure that you are well aware that during your travels that the Grimm are becoming stronger and stronger with each day and we need those who are capable of protecting the people." Ozpin explained. "I won't force this on you, but I have a strong feeling that the reason you're here is at Beacon. Whether you wish to except this offer or not, I'll respect your choice either way. We'll also provide you with a place to stay and everything you need. We'll also return your weapons to you."

Galen thought for a moment. On one hand, he didn't want to keep wandering around the planet. On the other hand, he thought back to the vision he had where Summer asked him to protect her daughter which he was starting to believe is Ruby and there was something else about her that caught his attention. "I except." Galen answered.

Ozpin smiled. "Glad to hear it. Everything you'll need will be at Beacon tomorrow. Oh, and do try to keep your identity as a Jedi a secret. I'm not sure many people will believe that the stories about those from beyond stars coming to our planet are true." Ozpin added before he had Glynda hand Galen his sabers back.

"There's something you should know." Galen spoke up, getting Glynda and Ozpin to turn around as they exited the police station. "Those machines from earlier, those were battle droids from the Clone Wars. There may be more of them out there and if there is someone on this planet strong in the force, the Empire might come here." Galen warned.

The following day, Galen was looking out the window of a large airship that was taking him and the rest of those who were going to be attending Beacon much like him. All through out the journey he kept wondering what it was about Ruby that he sensed.

His thoughts were broken when he spotted the red-haired girl being hugged by a blonde-haired girl in brown, yellow and orange clothing. The girl had also had a pair of yellow gauntlets on her arms, but if Galen had learned anything from his time on Remnant thus far is that not everything is what it appears to be. He walked over to the two and heard some of their conversation.

"Really Sis, it was nothing." Ruby said as if what she did wasn't really that big of a deal.

"What do you mean? It was incredible! Everyone at Beacon is going to think you're the bee's knees." The blond-haired girl said with a cheery tone.

"I don't want to be the 'bee's knees, okay? I don't want to be any kind of knees! I just want to be a normal girl with normal knees." Ruby countered. She didn't want to be given any special treatment because she stopped a robbery.

"What's with you? Aren't you excited?" the blonde girl asked.

"Of course, I'm excited… I just…" she began before sighing. "I got moved ahead two year. I don't want people to think I'm special or anything." She answered.

"Then don't try to be like you are special." Galen spoke up getting the two to look at Galen. "From what I saw last night, you're very skilled and getting into Beacon this early is a testament of your skills as a warrior." He said.

"Wait! Aren't you the Wandering Huntsman? Ruby do you know him?" the blonde girl asked.

"Not really. He showed up last night and helped me out. I never did get your name." Ruby answered.

"Its Galen. Galen Marek." Galen answered.

"That's an interesting name." the blonde girl said. "Well, Galen. I'm Yang Xiao Long and this is Ruby Rose. My younger sister." Yang said holding out her hand for Galen to shake.

Galen grabbed Yang's hand and shook it before he asked a question. "Wait. If you two are sisters, why do you have different last names?" he asked.

"We're half-sisters." Yang answered before she turned back to Ruby and brought her sister into a one-armed hug. "But he is right. You are special." Yang assured her younger sister. The trio then turned their attention towards a newscast talking about the robbery from last night and the recent Faunus Civil Rights Protest last Saturday turned violent when the White Fang disrupted the ceremony. The newscast soon ended and a hologram of Glynda appeared in its place.

"Hello and welcome to Beacon! My name is Glynda Goodwitch." The hologram answered which answered Yang's question about who the women was. "You are among a privileged few who have received the honor of being selected to attend this prestigious academy! Our world is experiencing an incredible time of peace, and as future Huntsmen and Huntresses, it is your duty to uphold it. You have demonstrated the courage needed for such a task, and now it is our turn to provide you with the knowledge and the training to protect our world." The hologram then disappeared and Ruby among with several other students gasped in awe at the view.

"Oh, wow! You can see Signal from up here!" she said in amazement at the view. Galen wasn't impressed as he had seen higher views from his time, when he was Vader's apprentice. "I guess home isn't too far after all!"

"Beacon's our home, now." Yang reminded her sister. However not all of the passengers were enjoying the view. All three of them turned to see a blonde-haired boy wearing white, black, orange and blue clothing which was covered by armor. The boy was groaning and hunched over before he ran to the back of the ship. "Well… I guess the view isn't for everyone." Yang said with a roll of her eyes.

"It was a nice moment while it lasted." Ruby added as the shup made its approach to Beacon. "I wonder who were gonna meet! I just hope they're better than Vomit Boy." Ruby added. Seconds later, the two half-sisters were arguing as the blonde-haired boy from earlier somehow had vomited on Yang's shoe and the Ruby was trying to keep Yang from getting the vomit on herself.

Galen let out a chuckle at the sight of these two sisters before he turned back to the view as the ship touched down at a dock at the entrance of the school followed by several other ships. 'Vomit Boy' was the first to emerge from the ship and headed for the nearest trash can, hunched over and hurled as the other students headed down a paved path to the school.

Galen, Ruby and Yang stood and looked at the entirety of Beacon Academy with the two sisters both amazed at the school. To Galen, it reminded him of the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. "Impressive. Most Impressive." He said.

"View from Vale's got nothing on this!" Yang stated in amazement. Before either she or Galen could say anything else, Ruby became starry-eyed and more excited at something she saw from a few students that passed by.

"Oh, sis! That kids got a collapsible staff! And she's got a fire sword!" she exclaimed and tried to get a little closer, only for Yang to pull on her sisters hood and bring her back to reality. "Ow! Ooww!" she cried out.

"Easy there, little sister. They're just weapons!" she reminded her sister.

"'Just Weapons'? They're an extension of ourselves! They're a part of us! Oh, they're so cool!" Ruby protested.

"Well why can't you swoon over your own weapon? Aren't you happy with it?" Yang asked as her sister who immediately transformed her weapon into its scythe form.

"Of course, I'm happy with Crescent Rose! I just really like seeing new ones. It's like meeting new people, but better…" she explained.

"I don't think I've ever seen someone who's obsessed with weapons like you before." Galen said under his breath.

Playfully pushing her sisters down over her face, Yang spoke to Ruby. "Ruby, come on, why don't you go try and make some friends of your own.

"But… why would I need friends if I have you?" the red-haired girl asked, taking her hood off.

All she got was her older sister leaving her behind in a cloud of dust as she dashed down the road along with a group of other students. "Well… Actually, my friends are here. Gotta go catch up. 'Kay see ya, bye!" Yang said super-fast.

Spinning and dizzy eyed from her sister's sudden leave, Ruby asked numerous questions which she didn't get answers to and would have fallen back onto a luggage cart had it not been for Galen grabbing her. "Oh, thanks Galen." Ruby said.

"What are you two doing?!" an annoyed voice from behind asked. Both turned around to see a girl of seventeen years old with white hair, a vertical scar down her left eye and face and blue eyes wearing white and red clothing which to Galen almost looked to be something like a dress. However, what caught his eye was the crest on back of her jacket which belonged to a certain company he heard about.

"Uh, sorry!" Ruby said trying to keep things civil.

"Sorry?! Do you have any idea of the damage you two could have caused?" the white-haired girl asked. Opening one of the cases the girl pulled out a vial of dust. This is Dust- mined and purified from the Schnee Quarry!" the exclaimed.

Ruby was a little confused but the girl kept going. "What are you two, brain-dead? Dust! Fire, water, lighting, energy!"

"I… I know…" Ruby said, coughing from the Dust pouring into her face.

"Are you two even listening to me? Is any of this sinking in? What do you have to say for yourselves?!" the girl asked, completely ignorant of the fact that Ruby was about to sneeze. When she did sneeze, an eruption of flames, snowflakes and electricity went right into the girls face while the bottle she was holding flew over the courtyard and at the feet of a girl in black, white, purple and gold clothing who was reading a book.

Galen, who was quick to take cover brushed himself of the dirt on his clothing as the girl in white hair continued to rant, now covered in soot which disappeared quickly. "Unbelievable! This is exactly the kind of thing I was talking about!"

Ruby tried to apologize but the girl continued to speak. "You complete dolt! What are you even doing here? Aren't you a little young to be attending Beacon? This isn't your ordinary combat school. Its not just sparring and practice, you know! We're here to fight monsters, so watch where you're going!" she exclaimed, barely giving Ruby a chance to speak.

"Hey! Maybe if you stopped shaking that vial and noticed that she was about to sneeze, this could have been avoided. And one more thing, how were either of us suppose to know that you were right behind us with all your Dust!" Galen remarked.

"Excuse me?!" the girl asked in surprise.

This time it was Galen who didn't give the new girl a chance to speak. "Look princess, I don't know who you are and I don't care. This mess was your fault and you were putting the blame onto Ruby here, so maybe it should be you who should apologize!" he added.

"Its heiress, actually." A new voice said. Galen, Ruby and the white-haired girl looked over to see the girl who picked up the vial approach them. Right off the bat, Galen noticed something about the girl but kept it to himself. "Weiss Schnee, heiress to the Schnee Dust Company, one of the largest producers of energy propellant in the world." The new girl said.

"Finally! Some recognition!" Weiss said smugly.

"Isn't that the same company known for its controversial labor forces and questionable business partners?" Galen asked. The new girl nodded and Ruby chuckled at Weiss's change in expressions before grabbing the bottle from the new girl and walked off in a huff while her helpers gathered the other luggage and followed her.

"I promise I'll make this up to you!" she shouted to Weiss who didn't even bother to look back at her. "I guess I'm not the only one having a rough first day…" she began and was about to thank the girl who helped her but to her surprise saw that she was walking off. She then collapsed to the ground on her back. "Welcome to Beacon…"

She stayed like this for a few moments before a shadow appeared over her and the face of a familiar looking individual. "Hey… I'm Jaune." The blonde-haired boy said, helping Ruby up to her feet.

"Ruby. This is Galen." Ruby introduced the two before she remembered his face. "Aren't you the guy that threw up on the ship?" she asked.

Sometime later, the trio was in one of the courtyards as Jaune was trying to explain the whole 'situation' that had occurred on the airship. "All I'm saying is that motion sickness is a much more common problem than people let on." He explained.

"Look, I'm sorry! Vomit Boy was the first thing that came to mind." Ruby said while still laughing.

"Oh, yeah? What if I called you Crater Face?" Jaune countered.

"Hey, that explosion was an accident!" Ruby countered back.

"Well, the name's Jaune Arc! Short, sweet, rolls of the tongue – ladies love it!" Jaune said proudly.

"Do they?" Ruby asked sceptic of Jaune's statement.

"They will! I-I hope they will. My mon always says that… Never mind." Jaune said before sighing a bit. This got Ruby to giggle, but Galen figured the guy could use some advice.

"Word of advice. Just be yourself and don't show off for the ladies. It will be a lot better for you that way." Galen said to the boy. This got Jaune to lift his head up a bit and smile.

Ruby giggle for a bit before she spoke. "So… I got this thing!" she said proudly and pulled out Crescent Rose, stabbing it into the ground, much to the surprise of Jaune.

"Whoa! Is that a scythe?" Jaune asked in surprise.

"It's also a customizable high-impact sniper rifle!" Ruby answered. Jaune was confused but Ruby soon cleared it up. "Its also a gun." She added, cocking the rifle with a smile.

"Wow. Cool!" Jaune answered.

"So, what've you got?" Ruby asked Jaune.

"I got this sword!" Jaune answered with confidence. "I also got a shield too." He added.

"They do anything?" Ruby asked.

"No, not really." Jaune answered. "Never really considered a ranged mode for my weapon." He added.

"Well, I'm kind of a dork when it comes to weapons, sooo… I guess I did go a little overboard when designing it." Ruby said with a giggle.

"Wait-you made that?!" Jaune asked in shock.

"Of course! All students at Signal forge their own weapons! Didn't you make yours?" she asked Jaune.

"It's a hand-me down. My great-great-grandfather used it to fight in the war. So, I guess you could say it's more like a family heirloom. Sure, it might be a classic, but not many people have a lot of respect for the classics these days." He admitted, sheathing his blade. He then looked to Galen. "What about you? What's your weapon like?" he asked.

"Oh, they are awesome! He's got a pair of laser swords that can cut through anything!" Ruby said like a rabid fan girl and reached for one of Galen's lightsabers, only to have Galen stop her. "Awe. I want to hold it!" she pouted.

"Its not exactly a toy! You'll cut your arm off if you mess around with it." Galen stated.

Ruby pouted even more before she turned to Jaune. "So why did you help me out back there? In the courtyard?" she asked.

"Well, my mom always says 'Strangers are just friends you haven't met yet.' Plus, it looked like you could use a friend." Jaune admitted. "Hey, I think we're heading the wrong way." he stated and led them towards the auditorium.

When they arrived, they found it loaded to the brim with people. Ruby looked around before she spotted Yang and heard her voice. "Ruby! Galen! Over here! I saved you two a spot!" she called out and waved to the two.

"Oh! Hey, I-I gotta go! I'll see you after the ceremony!" she said to Jaune, leaving the blonde knight behind.

"Ok." Jaune said before he turned to Galen. "Hey, Galen. If its ok with you, you think you could give me some pointers in swordsmen ship? I know only a few techniques so maybe if you'd taught me a few things, then I would appreciate it." Jaune asked.

"I'll think about it." Galen answered and headed off after Ruby. Jaune smiled and moved on, not noticing a girl in red and gold clothing watching him with interest.

Back with Ruby and Galen, the scythe wielding girl joined her sister with her arms crossed. "How's your first day going, little sister?" Yang asked.

"You mean since you ditched me and I exploded!" Ruby countered.

"Yikes! Meltdown already?" Yang questioned.

"No, I literally exploded a hole in front of the school! And there was some fire, and think some ice…?" Ruby tried to explain.

"Are you being sarcastic?" Yang asked with broadly smile.

"I wish! I tripped over some crabby girl's luggage, and then she yelled at me, and then I sneezed, and then I exploded, and then she yelled at me again, and I felt really, really bad, and I just wanted her to stop yelling at me!" Ruby exclaimed with a scoff.

"You!" Weiss said from behind.

"Oh, God, it's happening again!" she exclaimed, jumping into her sister's arms.

"You're lucky we weren't blown of the side of the cliff!" Weiss said with anger.

"Oh my God, you really exploded." Yang said with a deadpan expression. Galen just shook his head.

"It was an accident. It was an accident!" Ruby tried to explain to Wiess after getting out of her sisters' arms, only for the Schnee girl to hold up a pamphlet titled 'Dust for dummies and other Inadequate Individuals' in Ruby's face. "What's this?"

"The Schnee Dust Company is not responsible for any injuries or damages sustained while operationg a Schnee Dust Company product. Although not mandatory, the Schnee Family highly encourages their customers to read and familiarize themselves with this easy to follow guide to Dust applications and practices in the field." Weiss listed off to Ruby who seemed to be going faster and higher pitched with each word, getting confused.

Lucky for Ruby, Galen snatched the pamphlet and ripped it in two. "Look here, Ice Queen. The whole incident was your fault. You're the one who shook the vial in Ruby's face who didn't even know you were standing right behind her. You didn't own the path you were walking on and just because your name means something from where you're from, it means nothing here." Galen stated to Weiss who only looked in anger towards Galen.

"How dare you!" Weiss protested.

"If you're going to make friends in this place, you might want to change that attitude of yours before you do something you'll regret." Galen added.

Almost immediately, Yang stepped in to try and break the ice. "Look, uh, Weiss was it? It sounds like you two got off on the wrong foot. Why don't you start over and try to be friends, okay?" She suggested.

"Yeah! Great idea, sis!" Ruby exclaimed and held out her hand before clearing her throat. "Hello, Weiss! I'm Ruby! Wanna hang out? We can go shopping for school supplies!" she offered.

"Yeah! And we can paint our nails and try on clothes and talk about cute boys, like tall, blond, and scraggly over there!" she said pointing to Jaune in an enthusiastic tone. Jaune heard her and looked over, but said nothing.

"Wow, really?!" Ruby asked hopefully.

Weiss glared at Ruby in dead silence before simply answering. "No."

Before anyone could say anything, their attention was drawn to the stage where Ozpin was readying a microphone with Glynda right beside him. "I'll… keep this brief. You have traveled here today in search of knowledge, to hone your craft and acquire new skills, and when you have finished, you plan to dedicate your life to the protection of the people. But I look amongst you, and all I see is wasted energy, in need of purpose, direction." Ozpin began, getting most of the students to whisper among themselves. "You assume knowledge will free you of this, but your time at this school will prove that knowledge can only carry you so far. It is up to you to take the first step." He added.

As the headmaster of Beacon stepped away, Glynda stepped up to the microphone to speak. "You will gather in the ballroom tonight; tomorrow, your initiation begins. Be ready. You are dismissed." Glynda spoke.

"Not exactly an inspiring speech, wouldn't you all agree?" Jaune asked to Galen, Ruby, Yang and Weiss.

That night, the students were splayed out in sleeping bags across the ballroom floor. Ruby was in her pajamas which included a sleeping mask was writing in a journal as Yang plopped down next to her younger sister, also dressed in her pajamas. "Its like a big slumber party!" Yang exclaimed.

"I don't think dad would approve of all the boys, though." Ruby stated.

"I know I do!" Yang said with purr as she watched several muscular and shirtless guys were joking around with each other as Jaune walked past them and looked to them and waved. The blonde-haired boy was wearing a black sleeping tank top and white shorts. Yang then turned back to her sister. "What's that?" she asked.

"A letter to the gang back at Signal. I promised to tell them all about Beacon and how things are going." Ruby answered.

"Aw, that's so cuuuute!" the older blonde-haired girl said in a teasing tone to her sister, only to receive a pillow to the face.

"Shut up! I didn't get to take my friends with me to school! Its weird not knowing anyone here!" Ruby said with a pout.

"What about Jaune? He's… nice! There you go! Plus, one friend! That's a hundred percent increase!" Yang said with encouragement.

Ruby rolled onto her back, looking towards the ceiling. "Pretty sure Weiss counts as a negative friend. Back to zero…" she said, still depressed.

"There's no such things as negative friends! You just made one friend and one enemy." She said trying to make her sister feel better and getting hit with another pillow." Look, its only been one day. Trust me; you've got friends all around you! You just haven't met them yet! Actually, come to think of it, two friends if you count Galen." She added, looking the direction of Galen who was in another corner of the ballroom far away from the rest of students wearing no shirt and black pants. What caught the attention of the two sisters was the account of cuts and bruises all over his body. "Whoa, looks like he's been through a lot." Yang said shockingly.

Both sisters noticed a nearby candle being lit nearby and turned to see the same girl from this morning leaning against a wall, a book in her hand. "That girl…" Ruby began.

"You know her?" Yang asked.

"Not really. She saw what happened this morning, but left before I could say anything." Ruby began.

"Well now's your chance!" Yang said, grabbing her sisters' arm and lifting her up, much too her sisters surprise. Blake looked over her book to see Ruby struggling against Yang's grip with no success as she leads the red-haired girl towards her spot. "Hel-looooo!" Yang said in a sing-song voice, letting go of her sister's arms. "I believe you two may know each other?" she asked.

"Aren't you… that girl that exploded?" the girl asked.

"Uh, yeah! My name's Ruby! But you can just call me Crater…" she said trying hard to start a conversation and smiling while still embarrassed. "Actually, you can just call me Ruby."

"Okay." The girl said turning back to her book while the two sisters whispered to each other about the situation.

"So… What's your name?" Yang asked.

"Blake." The girl answered with a sigh as she is distracted from her book yet again.

"Well, Blake, I'm Yang, Ruby's older sister! I like your bow!"

"Thanks!" Blake said with an irritated tone.

"It goes great with your… pajamas!" Yang said, still trying to get the girl to talk to them.

"Right…" Blake said, still annoyed.

Ruby laughed uncomfortably as Yang still tried to get Blake to talk with them. "Nice night, don't you think?" Yang asked.

"Yes- it's lovely! Almost as lovely as this book! That I will continue to read. As soon as you leave!" Blake answered as she tried to get the two sisters to leave her alone.

At last Yang admitted defeat, but Ruby had something she wanted to ask. "What's it about?" Ruby asked, getting a surprised look from Blake. "You book. Does it have a name?"

"Well its about a man with two souls, each fighting for control over his body. One of light and one of dark." Blake explained.

"Oh, yeah… That's real lovely!" Yang said with sarcasm.

"I love books. Yang used to read to me every night before bed. Stories of heroes and monsters… They're one of the reasons I want to be a Huntress!" Ruby said.

Blake laughed a little before she spoke up. "And why is that? Hoping you'll live happily ever after?" she asked.

"Well, I'm hoping we all will. As a girl, I wanted to be just like those heroes in the books… Someone who fought for what was right, and protect people who couldn't protect themselves!" Ruby explained.

"That's… very ambitious for a child." Blake said before her smile turned into a frown. "Unfortunately, the real world isn't the same as a fairy tale." She added, before noticing Galen's bruised and scared body. "And it's also not without hardships."

"Well, that's why we're here! To make it better." Ruby said optimistically.

"Oh, I am so proud of my baby sister!" Yang said happily, pulling her sister into another tight hug which Ruby didn't like most siblings, started a small brawl.

Blake laughed slightly and was about to speak when Weiss came over to them, in her own pajamas, clearly annoyed. "What in the world is going on over here?! Don't you realize that some of us are trying to sleep?" she said with anger before she noticed who was fighting.

"Oh, not you again!" Both Yang and Weiss said to each other as Ruby tried to break up the fight, but seemed only to escalate. Blake rolled her eyes, closed her book and was about to reach for her candle when much to her surprise, Ruby, Yang and Weiss quickly stopped fighting and just walked back to their sleeping bags.

Unsure of what happened, Blake blew out her candle and went to sleep. She didn't know that Galen used the force to get the three girls to stop fighting and go to bed. "Those three aren't as loud as a TIE fighters' engines, but they are still just as loud." He said to himself and went to sleep as well.

And finished with the third chapter. I would have posted this yesterday, but I had to work a double shift and let me tell you, I was tired when I got home.

Anyways, first off. I want to say thank you to Spartan-626 and Darth Cody for giving me two OC's for Galen's team. I've got a third one of my own based on several figures from the Old West/Railroad who will appear in the next chapter. So, I don't need a third member for Galen's team. I also have figured out their weapons, semblance and attire.

Second, I got my hands-on Jedi Fallen order, so I can see what the big deal about the game is. Sure, I prefer the Legend's universe, but I also find the universe that Disney has created is ok, especially with the Bad Batch, who I will say will appear later on in the story.

Third, Jaune is a lot different than he is in the canon. Does he have a secret or is it something else? You'll have to wait and find out.

Anyway, please read and review and I will see you all next time.
