And I am back with a new chapter to Remnant Unleashed. Sorry for the wait, I was trying to start work on my Gundam Seed: Defender story. A Gundam Seed Fanfiction with an original mobile suit of my own, plus character. Haven't figured out the pairing yet and I'm thinking that story might be a bit of a challenge. But I'm always up for a challenge.

Now, its time for the next chapter of Remnant Unleashed. But first onto the reviews.

42: If they are bringing back the F-117, I'll be surprised if they upgrade it and make it more of a stealth fighter like the F-22 than its old stealth attack aircraft it is. Maybe they might upgrade its payload and weapons system. Aside from that, please just leave a review regarding the story instead of real life please.

Jack Smith1: You are indeed correct. The Galactic Civil War will make its way to Remnant, but not for a while. I have special plans for what comes before the war makes its way to Remnant, but I can assure you that you will hopefully like what I come up with.

Spartan-626: Glad you like what I did for my last chapter. I worked hard on it and figured I'd do something special for you, since you've been very supportive of my stories the last three years. I'd figure I would give the Penwolfs some ranged capabilities for their weapons. I will admit, Arthurs gauntlet guns are good, but they lack the range of a rifle. Plus, seeing as Artoria in the Fate series is basically King Arthur, one of the kings of England, the Lee Enfield was the right choice to give her sword for a rifle mode.

Alright, reviews done. Lets get started.

Disclaimers are the same as before, please enjoy. Oh, before I forget, I need ideas for Galen's semblance. So please leave you idea in a review.

Chapter 17: A Minor Hiccup

At long last, the day had come for the two teams to begin their investigation into the White Fang activity, but there was one last class to finish before they could begin and unfortunately, that class was one of Professor Ports classes.

As usual, the bearded professor was telling one of his ridiculous stories which seemed to have no point in the making of a huntsmen or huntress. Weiss patiently waited out the last-minute left on her holographic clock, ignoring the advances of a male student who was trying to ask Weiss out, much the humor of Jaune who was sitting next to her.

"So, Miss Schnee. I'm thinking the two of us could maybe go grab a bite eat, maybe see a movie if you'd like. I heard the new Spruce Willis movie is awesome. Maybe after the movie we could study together for that upcoming test in Professor Ooblecks class." The student asked.

Jaune groaned at the student's stupid attempt to ask Weiss out on a date, silently thanking himself that he wasn't one of those people, desperate to get Weiss's attention. Jaune was about to say something when the clock beeped and changed to 4:00 while Port was still telling his story before he noticed that class had ended. "And then I- Oh. Timed that one wrong, I guess. Well, the stunning conclusion to this story will have to wait. Until next time!" Port said.

"Uh, did you hear what I said?" the student asked.

"No, no, no, yes." Weiss answered, walking past the student who groaned and planted their face to their desk.

"Word of advice. Don't try to pick up a girl like Weiss. She's way out of our league and I think she might have someone else in mind." Jaune said to the boy who continued to groan in defeat.

When Weiss returned to her dorm room, she and her teammates wasted no time in changing their clothing. Weiss's clothing consisted of a white, double breasted pea coat with black piping, cuffs and buttons covering her pleated full skirt which had black lace trim and a pair of lace-topped black stockings and white, thigh high boots with black heels.

Blakes outfit consisted of a white, v-neck, zip-up crop shirt with a black hem and three-quarter sleeves. Her emblem was printed in off-white on the left side of her shirt. She had on a pair of black pants with a vertical gray stripe on the outer side of each leg, a black belt while attached to the rear of the belt was a black piece of fabric that covers her from hip-to-hip. Underneath the belt was a longer, translucent, purple piece of fabric, while of a pair of black high-heel boots with two straps, buckles and purple underoles that reached mid-calf were on her feet. She still retained the black ribbons on her forearms and black bow.

Yang's outfit consisted of a deep-collared cream vest worn over a low cut black shirt, both of which are covered by a dark gray shrug with a raised collar, with both three-quarter sleeves adorned with a single black stripe down the outside of each sleeve with gold cuffs while a black mini-skirt was underneath her vest. A pair of crooked black belts with gold accents were slung around her hip, with a purple piece of fabric attached to the left-rear section of the lower belt. A pair of thigh high stockings were attached to her miniskirt by a pair of garter-belts on the front and back of each thigh, decorated with four golden studs above her knee with her emblem on the outside of each thigh colored in gold. Covering her stockings was a pair of black ankle boots with multiple buckles and white ribbons on the back tied in a bow while a purple pendant in silver was around her neck.

As for Ruby her outfit consisted of a long-sleeved light gray shirt with black belted cuffs near the ends of the sleeves while over the gray top was a black pinafore with two vertical lines of red stitching that resemble lacing on a corset. A red skirt with a large black print of her emblem was on the side with a matching black tulle underneath. Her stockings and shoes remained the same, but her boots lacked the red trim that decorated the top. A few pieces of metal were arranged in the shape of a rose were attached to the shoulder of her sleeve while her cloak's hood had been wrapped around her neck in a scarf-like fashion while the rest of it hangs down like normal.

Team GARM entered the room after the girls were done changing. Instead of his armor, Arthur wore a pair of black combat boots, jeans held with a black belt with a white cross buckle, dark blue t-shirt and a black leather jacket.

Rose wore a short of 'skimpy' type of attire, consisting of a semi-reveling bikini top covered in dark stripes below an open, dark buttoned vest with a similar colored skirt adorned in a series of light stripes hanging down the from it in the middle parts covered her lower body. A pair of high-heeled boots with matching stripes covered her feet while around her wrists were simple long bands. A pair of armbands circled her biceps, and her usual hat was replaced with a darker one with a curved-up brim adorned with a light-colored band covered in large studs. "Never thought I'd be wearing something like this." She commented.

"Speak for yourself." March chided as he entered the room. His clothing was mainly a pair of black sneakers, khaki style cargo shorts, a light green vest which covered a darker green sleeveless shirt. "I feel naked without my top hat." He added.

"Your top hat would stick out like a sore thumb." Arthur reminded the rabbit faunus.

"So, where's Galen?" Ruby asked.

She soon got her answer as Galen entered the room. Instead of his usual jedi robes, he wore a white sleeveless hoodie, urban camo pants, black boots and black fingerless weightlifting gloves. His lightsabers were attached to his belt and the hoodie barely hid his impressive six-pack abs which he got from all his training. "What is it? Is this too much?" he asked Ruby who was looking a little red in the face.

"Oh, n-no its good." Ruby stuttered, trying to hide her blush.

"I thought that class would never end." Blake said, tightening her wraps as she approached Ruby's bunk.

"Alright, guys, today's the day! The investigation begins!" Ruby exclaimed, leaping off her mattress and onto the floor with arms raised excitedly, almost landing on top of Weiss.

"I'm glad to see we're taking this so seriously." Weiss said sarcastically.

"Hey, we've got a plan! That's… moderately serious." Yang said, trying to assure Weiss.

"Right! Everyone remember their roles?" Ruby asked, still excited.

"You, Galen, Arthur and I will head to the CCT and check the Schnee records for any other Dust robberies or inconsistencies. Seeing as I'm in the family, it shouldn't be a problem." Weiss stated.

"The White Fang has regular faction meetings to hand out orders and recruit new members. If March and I can get in, we can hopefully find out what they're planning." Blake said.

"I have an old friend on the shady side of town that typically knows everything going on in Vale. Getting information out of him shouldn't be too hard for me and Rose." Yang said.

"Lets just make sure you leave your friend in one piece. I heard the last time you asked someone for information, you smashed his face, busted his stuff, bashed his men and nearly gave the guy a blood clot." Rose reminded.

"Trust me, this guy will talk." Yang assured.

"Great! We'll meet up tonight near Yang to go over what we found. Let's do this!" Ruby exclaimed, pumping her fist, ready to begin the investigation.

Or would have had they not heard a 'Yeah!' coming from the window where hanging upside down by his tail in the open window was Sun Wukong, causing both teams to be taken aback.

"Sun!" Blake said in surprise and alarm.

"How did you get up there?" Yang asked.

"Ah, its easy; I do it all the time." Sun answered.

"You do what?!" Weiss asked with a scowl.

"I climb trees all the time!" Sun answered before he flipped into the dorm room, not even reacting to Weiss's scowl.

"And I thought he might be part Kowakian monkey lizard or Wookie." Galen muttered to himself.

"So, are we finally getting back at that Torchwick guy?" Sun asked.

"We are going to investigate the situation… as a team." Blake said, stepping forward.

"Sorry, Sun. We don't want to get friends involved if we don't have to." Ruby added.

"There's a lot more going on then any of us even know. The last thing we want is for more people to get caught in the crossfire." Galen said in agreement.

Sun just scoffed at the idea. "That's dumb! We should always get friends involved! That's why I brough Neptune!" Sun said gesturing out the window where both teams found the aforementioned teammate of Suns standing outside, cool as can be.

"How did you even get up here?" Ruby asked.

"I have my ways." Neptune said before the two teams noticed that he was standing the ledge circling the building. "Seriously, though, can I come in? We're like, really high up right now." He added nervously.

Before long, Neptune was inside the dorm room, but this meant that several alterations to the original plan. "Alright, I'll go with Weiss, Arthur and Galen; Sun, you can go with Blake and March. And Neptune, you can go with Yang and Rose. Everyone good?" Ruby said, pushing Neptune past Weiss who winked at her while Weiss looks mildly shocked before coming to her senses.

"Actually Ruby, why don't you go with Yang? After all she is your sister." Weiss said, trying to make an excuse.

"But, Weiss, who would go with you, Arthur and Galen, then?" Ruby asked. She didn't notice Neptune was rocking back and forth, after she had finished pushing him and looking very nervously before Yang stopped him from rocking.

"Well… I guess Neptune could come with me." Weiss suggested.

"Something tells me that where Yang and Rose are going it isn't a place for Ruby to be around." Galen said, noticing Neptune's attempt to put on a suave look and pointed to Weiss, before Ruby cracked up while Weiss was less than amused, yet completely powerless to stop Ruby from pulling her out the door, much to her dismay. "Be honest with me, Yang. Is the place you're going to the kind of place Ruby should be around?" Galen asked.

"Nope." Yang answered.

"Thought so." Galen said before following Ruby, Weiss and Arthur.

Meanwhile, at the Airbase where the Galm team was stationed, Rick had finished helping the ground crews tune up his S35 and put on a leather jacket much like those word by bikers and found Robyn waiting for him by one of the Shark buggy's that were produced by the former White Fang members. "You really don't need to accompany me. I can take care of myself." Rick said to his aunt.

"I know you can handle yourself. But you aren't the only one looking for your sister and while this isn't the actual Aunt/Nephew quality time I had in mind, but you can't do everything on your own." Robyn answered.

"Fair enough." Rick replied and hopped in the driver's seat of the buggy while Robyn got in the passenger side. Once they were buckled up, the buggy was powered up and the two of them headed for the city.

Back at Beacon, Galen, Arthur, Weiss and Ruby stood outside a monumental tower that to Galen paled in comparison to the towers and skyscrapers he had seen on Coruscant, but to Ruby she was simply amazed by the sight. "Wow! I forget how big the Transmit tower looks up close!" she said in awe.

"You should see the one in Atlas." Weiss said.

"That was the first one, right?" Ruby asked her teammate.

"Correct. Atlas developed the Cross Continental Transmit System to allow the four kingdoms to communicate with one another. It was their gift to the world after the Great War." Weiss explained.

"Oooh, look at me! My name's Weiss! I know facts! I'm rich!" Ruby teased, snorting after acting high and mighty, much to Weiss's annoyance.

"Don't be a pest! Besides, the only reason we're here is because you like the tower so much! We could have easily made a call from the library!" Weiss retorted.

"I know, but it's so cool! Ooh, I'm going to take a picture!" Ruby squealed.

"Ok, so this thing was developed by Atlas and given to the people after the end of the Great War. It's a grand gesture and all, but you think that they would improve on the relationship between the Human's and Faunus." Galen remarked.

"Most people tend to ignore a problem like that focus on what they believe to be the more important issue." Arthur said in agreement.

Ruby didn't hear them and excitedly grabbed her scroll from her pocket, only to drop the device in her excitement which then launched from her hands, bounced along the pavement until it landed at someone's feet. That someone was Penny.

"Oh! You dropped this." Penny said, picking up the scroll and handed it back to Ruby.

"Penny?!" Ruby asked in a shocked tone. "Where have you been? We haven't seen you since that night at the docks!"

"S-Sorry. I think you're confused." Penny answered. She soon hiccupped, throwing the Scroll into Ruby's hands before quickly turning and walking away.

"What was that about?" Weiss asked.

"Clearly that is the same girl we met before. But she seemed to act like she didn't even know us. Did she lose her memory or is it something else?" Arthur noted.

"I don't know, but I'm going to find out. You go make your call! I'll meet up with you later!" Ruby said to Weiss and headed after Penny, leaving Weiss, Galen and Arthur behind her.

"Wait!" Weiss called out, before she saw the futility in trying to stop her teammate. "Please make sure she doesn't get into any trouble." Weiss said, turning to Galen.

"Trust me, I already planned to go after her and keep her out of any trouble." Galen admitted and headed after Ruby who had already caught up to Penny. "Ruby, wait up!" he called to the red head girl who quickly got in front of Penny who still acted like she didn't even know her.

"Penny… Is everything ok?" She asked. Penny didn't answer and kept on walking past Ruby until Ruby grabbed her hand. "Penny, please stop! Look, I don't know what's wrong, but you must listen to me! Those guys we fought at the docks; we think they're up to something big, something bad! I need you to tell me what happened to you that night! Please… As a friend." Ruby begged.

"You know for someone who liked the idea of being Ruby's friend, your being really rude to her." Galen added.

Penny sighed before glancing to her sides swiftly, walked over to Ruby and leaned in close to the young leader. "It isn't safe to talk her." she said, making both Ruby and Galen look a little confused as she looked around again.

While Ruby and Galen walked away with Penny, Weiss and Arthur entered the glowing lobby of the CCT, avoiding the central terminal and heading straight for the elevator doors, which slid open and close once the two of them were inside. "Hello. Welcome to the CCT. How may I help you?' the AI of the CCT tower asked them.

"We'd like to go to the communications room, please." Weiss said to the AI.

'Absolutely. Could you please place your Scrolls on the terminal to verify your identities?' The AI instructed the two. Both did so and they were granted access to the communications room. 'Perfect! Thank you, Miss Schnee. Mr. Penwolf.'

As the elevator ascended to the floor they requested, Weiss's expression changed from a pleasant one to a serious one. One that Arthur took notice of. "You look nervous." Arthur noted. Weiss tried to tell him that she wasn't, but she gave up and admitted that she was nervous. Since she and her father weren't on the best of terms, she was concerned that he would prevent them from getting the files they needed. "All you need too do is relax and hope for the best." Arthur assured the young heiress just as the elevator stopped for their floor.

Upon entering the room, the symbols of the four kingdoms appeared on the nearby computer as they waked up to the front desk where a holographic secretary appeared in the seat. 'Welcome to the Beacon Cross Continental Transmit center. How can I help you?' The secretary asked.

"I need to make a call to Schnee Company World Headquarters in Atlas." Weiss answered.

'Absolutely. If you could head over to Terminal 3, I'll patch you through.' The secretary replied, allowing Weiss and Arthur to head over to their assigned computer, passing several students from Beacon who were talking with family. Taking a seat, Weiss took a deep, unhappy breath preparing for the call. A short time later, the face of a short-haired brunette appeared on the monitor with the Schnee snowflake rotating behind her.

"Thank you for calling the Atlas-" the operator began before she noticed who she was talking to. "Oh! Miss Schnee! Good afternoon! Would you like me to patch you through to your father? I think your sister Winter might be here as well."

"No, thank you! I was wondering if you could find some files for me. I've compiled a short list." Weiss said pleasantly, before placing her Scroll in a slot next to the keyboard. Having seen the data on her side, the Operator questioned what Weiss needed these files for, but Weiss assured her that it was for a school project. The operator nervously mentioned that some of the files Weiss asked for were sensitive, but Weiss assured the operator that she would take care of the files. Once the files were transferred to Weiss's scroll, the operator again asked if she would like to see her father, but Weiss said that she didn't before finally concluding her call. "That was hard." Weiss said, finally dropping her happy act.

"At least we got what we needed. Lets just hope the information we acquired is what we need." Arthur said as the two of them left the CCT.

Meanwhile, Penny, Ruby and Galen had walked into the city and after explaining the situation to Penny started to stroll down the street. "I wish I could help you, Ruby, Galen, but I don't know anything about those men." Penny said.

"Well, what happened to you that night. We were all together, and then you just disappeared! Were you kidnapped?" Ruby asked in concern.

"Oh, no! Nothing like that!" Penny answered.

"Then where did you go?" Ruby asked.

"I've never been to another kingdom before. My father asked me not to venture out too far, but… You must understand, my father loves me very much; he just worries a lot." Penny explained.

"Believe me, I know the feeling." Ruby said with a grin which Penny returned with a grin of her own. Galen on the other hand sensed something off about Penny, but he couldn't place his finger on it. "But why not let us know you were okay?" Ruby asked.

"I… was asked not to talk to you. Or Weiss. Or Blake. Or Yang. Anybody, really. Galen and his team included." Penny admitted.

"Was your dad that upset?" Ruby asked.

"No, it wasn't my father…" Penny began.

"Well, if it wasn't your father that told you not to talk to any of us, then who the hell was it?" Galen asked.

Before Penny could continue, the three of them turned to a platform in the center of the plaza where a holographic image of general Ironwood was standing before six AK-130 Androids, standing in front of two large metal storage cases, each with a spear and shield emblem on the doors. 'The AK-130 has been the standard security model or Remnant for several years, and they have done a fine job. Wouldn't you agree? Wouldn't you agree?' the hologram of Ironwood asked and said to the gathered audience who clapped. 'But… the kingdom of Atlas is a kingdom of innovation, and 'fine'… Well, that's just not good enough, is it? Presenting… the Atlesian Knight 200!' the holographic form of the general continued as the doors to cases rolled up and six new, bulkier and shinier automatons stand at attention, knocking over their obsolete predecessors down to the applause of the audience. 'Smarter, sleeker, and admittedly, a little less scary.' The hologram joked as the machines did several flexes and poses as a demonstration. 'These models will be active later this year, but they won't be alone! Now, the Atlesian Military has always supported the idea of removing men from the dangers of the battlefield. However, there are still some situations that will undoubtedly require… a human touch.' The hologram added, the last part drawing Ruby's attention.

"Don't tell me that Ironwood traveled halfway across the world just to show off a punch of cheap battle droid knocks offs?" Galen muttered to himself, while Penny looked nervously towards the scene.

'So, our kingdom's greatest minds, in cooperation with the Schnee Dust Company are proud to introduce… the Atlesian Paladin!' The hologram proclaimed as the general's hologram vanished and was replaced with a white robotic behemoth featuring hinged piston legs, large guns for hands, rectangular head and standing twice as tall as the knights. 'Now, we couldn't have them here for you today, but these mechanized battle suits will be seen defending the borders of our kingdom within a year!' The generals voice said.

Ruby was in awe, but Galen had his doubts about the units the general was showcasing. 'Didn't I see these things in my visions attacking the city?' he thought to himself. Just then the two armored soldiers nearby pointed at Penny and called for backup, forcing Penny to run from the scene and snapping Ruby out of her weapon-awe-induced stupor.

"Penny! Wait! Where are you going?" Ruby shouted before noticing the soldiers chasing after her friend. Realizing the situation Penny was in, Ruby swiftly followed her to catch up with her with Galen following her.

"Down here! She went this way!" one of the soldiers said, gesturing to his partner. Just seconds later, both of them were slammed into the wall by a force push from Galen, knocking the wind out of them for a few seconds. "What the hell just happened?"

Ruby continued after Penny just as Galen caught up to them after using his lightsaber to cut a support holding up a stack of crates and stalling the soldiers. "This way!" Ruby grimaced, using her semblance and causing the both of them to disappear in a flash of red and rose petals. However, the strain proved to be too great for her and both Ruby and Penny crashed to the ground shortly later with Ruby falling in the middle of the street.

Slowly getting up and dazed, Ruby didn't notice a large truck coming towards her until the honking horn got her attention. "RUBY!" Galen shouted and was about to use the force to stop the truck when much to her surprise, Penny pushed Ruby out of the way and stopped the truck with her bare hands. "What in the hell?" Galen asked himself.

Once Penny knew that the person driving the truck was alright, she ran off again after spotting the Atlas soldiers from before, bumping into Ruby and knocking the girl out of her stupor and once again getting the red haired girl to chase after Penny with Galen right behind her. "Penny! Please! What is going on?! Why are you running? How did you do that?!" Ruby asked.

Again, Penny became nervous and tried to assure Ruby and Galen that everything was fine, but her hiccups told Galen that something was off. "Penny, if you can just tell me what's wrong, I can help you!" Ruby said to her friend, but Penny just told Ruby that she wouldn't understand.

"Ruby is one of the most trustworthy people I know of and I trust her. You can trust her, Penny. We'll listen to whatever you have to say!" Galen said. Finally, Penny relented and showed that underneath her hands was gray metal, confirming what Galen had suspected all along.

"I'm not a real girl." Penny said.

Meanwhile, Rick and Robyn had arrived at a certain place in Vale and walked over to the person that they had called earlier and was waiting for them. "We need to talk." Robyn said.

And done.

Now, next chapter will be the Mech fight between Teams RWBY, GARM and Torchwick with a twist. What the twist is, well that's a secret.

Before I end the chapter, I am sorry to say that Canadian voice actor Kirby Morrow, the man who voiced Cyclops in X-Men Evolution, Trowa Barton in Gundam Wing, Rey Za Burrel in Gundam Seed Destiny, Billy Katagiri in Gundam 00, Elec Man in Mega Man NT Warrior and Axess, Goku in the Ocean dub of Dragon Ball Z, Rad White and Hot Shot in the Unicron Trilogy of Transformers, Redline in Nascar Racers, Shirako Takamoto in Hot Wheels: AcceleRacers and many other anime and cartoons has passed away at the age of forty-seven. I'll never forget when he told us about the Transformers. He was a good voice actor.

Second, I will be posting a new poll of which Remnant fighter plane you all want Galen to pilot.

Please, read, review and offer a prayer to Kirby Morrow and if you can, watch one the series he did a role in. I'll see you all next time. Oh, and a happy Thanksgiving to you all.
