Huh, not many reviews for my last chapter. Wasn't expecting that. Oh well, you all probably have something else going on so you aren't able to review right away. No biggie.
Now, onto the reviews.
Mr. Shades42: I won't spoil anything about Juno.
Luffy L Deathwalker: I'm sure I haven't watched Inuyasha, but I might check it out.
Spartan-626: Yes, it did go rather well. In regards to Ruby being in the dumpster, not going to happen. As for the person Robyn and Rick are meeting, you'll fine out who it is.
Ok, reviews done let's get on with the story.
Disclaimers are the same as before. Please enjoy.
Chapter 18: Painting the Town Red
"Penny, I-I don't understand…" Ruby said, confused as to why Penny had metal underneath her skin.
"I think I do, she's a type of machine built by Atlas. Am I right?" Galen asked.
"Mr. Marek is correct. Most are girls are born, but I was made. I'm the worlds first synthetic person capable of generating an Aura." Penny answered, turning her head to the side sadly. "I'm not real…"
'She's like one of those Human replica droids the Empire and Black Sun have been using lately.' Galen thought to himself. 'But compared to them, she's not being used as a weapon, there's something more about Penny. But what is it?'
His thoughts were ended when he watched Ruby take Penny's hands. "Of course, you are. You think just because you've got nuts and bolts instead of squishy guts makes you any less real than me?" Ruby said to Penny, getting the girl to be a little confused at how well Ruby was taking this revelation. "You're not like those things we saw back there. You've got a heart, and a soul; I can feel it!" Ruby added, tapping Penny's chest.
"I have to agree with Ruby. I know people that are similar. They were also made, but made for war and would follow any order without question. One of them told me that he used to believe that being a good soldier meant doing everything he was told to do. That's how the engineered him and his brothers, but there not machines. They're no programmed. They learned to make their own decisions and that's what kept a lot of them alive." Galen said in agreement, remembering what Rex told him.
After hearing what Ruby and Galen said to her, Penny grabbed Ruby and Galen into a hug, shaking them back and forth. "Oh Ruby, Galen! You're the best friends anyone could have!" She exclaimed.
"I can see why your father would want to protect see want to protect such a delicate flower!" Ruby groaned before Penny released the two of them.
"Oh, he's very sweet! My father's the one that built me! I'm sure you would love him!" Penny stated, finally back to her old self. "And I am sure he would love to meet you as well, Galen." She added.
"Wow. He built you all by himself?" Ruby asked with a giggle.
"Something tells me that its not that simple." Galen noted.
"Well, almost! He had some help from Mr. Ironwood." Penny answered.
"The General?! Wait… Is that why those soldiers were after you?" Ruby asked.
"They like to protect me, too!" Penny said happily.
Ruby let out a scoff. "They don't think you can protect yourself?"
"We've seen you in action. I think its safe to say that you can handle yourself pretty well without any extra protection." Galen added. 'But why would the General help Penny's father build her? What's Ironwoods game? This doesn't make any sense; does he know something that we don't?' he thought.
"They're not sure if I'm ready yet… One day, it will be my job to save the world, but I still have a lot left to learn. That's why my father let me come to the Vytal Festival. I want to see what it's like in the rest of the world, and test myself n the Tournament." Penny explained.
"Penny, what are you talking about? Save the world from what? We're in a time of peace!" Ruby asked.
"That's not what Mr. Ironwood said, especially after Mr. X destroyed one of his bases…" Penny said.
"Mr. X?" Both Ruby and Galen asked in confusion.
"Oh. I wasn't supposed to tell anyone about it." Penny gasped. "Well, I might as well tell you. Just after the your little 'adventure' an unknown fighter attacked and destroyed almost all of Mobius Squadron single-handedly. They then wiped out an entire military base, destroyed the prototype aircraft that were stored at the base and left no survivors, all of the soldiers were killed, along with the AK-130s that were guarding the base. No one knows who did it, but many of the bodies had the marks of a bladed weapon much like Mr. Marek's." Penny explained. "After that, the attacker just vanished." She added.
Before Ruby or Galen could ask any questions, the soldiers that were chasing them had managed to catch up with them and immediately, Penny told the two to hide and made them promise not to tell anyone about her 'secret.' Both teen's promised but rather than hide in a nearby dumpster, Galen grabbed Ruby's hand and leapt up to the roof of a nearby building and waited for Penny to leave with the soldiers. "Say, Galen. Do you think this Mr. X is related to the Empire?" Ruby asked.
"I don't know. What I do know is that we managed to destroy all of the Star Destroyers when they captured you and from what Jesden told us about had their hyperdrives sabotaged and if I remember, their long-range communications relays were being repaired as well. Its possible that someone must have tracked their position and came to Remnant. Question is, who could it have been?" he answered. Inside, Galen had a theory that it was Vader, but he didn't have any proof.
Sometime later, nighttime had fallen over Vale as Yang brought her motorcycle to a stop followed by Rose on her fathers' old motorcycle which was fully fixed up with help from Yang. Taking her helmet off, Yang gestured to a nearby building with music playing. "Come on, my friends right in here!" she said to dizzy Neptune whose hair and goggles were messed up and a petrified look of terror on his face.
"Cool." The blue haired boy said dizzily, shaking his head and somehow fixing his appearance before he looked around with a worried look. "And where exactly is… here?" he asked.
"I can tell you it's a place that Ruby shouldn't be." Rose answered before she spotted a familiar looking vehicle nearby. "Wonder which trooper left the keys in the ignition?" she asked before following after Yang and Neptune.
Inside the building, Hei Xiong better known as Junior stood behind the bar of his club, adjusting his cuffs as his henchmen stock bottles, carried boxes or just stood around the dance floor while Rick and Robyn sat at the bar. Before the two could start asking Junior any questions, two of his henchman ran through the doors.
"Hurry, close the door- she's coming!" one of them shouted and closed the doors quickly with their bodies.
"What are you two idiots doing?!" Junior demanded. As his henchmen started to shout incoherently, an explosion knocks them to the ground forcing the doors open and through the smoke came Yang.
"Guess who's back!" she shouted with a smile and pose as eight guns were pointed at her face with an equal number of angry henchmen behind them, but it didn't faze her. All it did was got her to glare in the direction of the recording studio where a certain tommy-gun bear-headed owner took the needle off the record playing and ducked down back under the table.
"Yeah, so could you define 'friend' for me?" Neptune asked from behind Yang while Rose just put her hand to her face, surprised by how Yang made her entrance and thinking that they were going to be leaving this place in a body bag.
Thankfully, that wasn't the case. "Stop, stop! Nobody shoot." Junior said, pushing his way through the crowd of goons and straightening his tie. "Blondie, you're here! … Why?" he asked.
"You still owe me a drink." Yang answered, grabbing Junior by the arm and dragging him away from the hired guns towards the bar where much to her surprise, Rick and Robyn were waiting there. "What are you doing here? And who's the old lady?" she asked.
"The 'old lady' happens to be my aunt. As for why I am here, I assume it's the same reason you're here for; information." Rick answered, taking a drink from his can of diet orange soda. "What? I'm still a minor." He added before he watched the Malachite sisters walk away from Neptune who he assumed weren't impressed by his attempts to flirt with them. "Don't know who that guy is, but he seems to be a Casanova." He said to himself.
Meanwhile in another part of Vale, Blake traced her fingers across three scratch marks on the nearby wall before peaking around the corner and saw a pair of horned Faunus being ushered into the building by a bearded man before she turned to Sun and March. "This is it."
"You sure?" Sun asked. All he got was a glare from Blake. "Y'know, I'm justing gonna take your word for it." He answered as Blake started to unfasten her bow. The trio then walked inside the building to a hallway filled with cases while another man gestured for the young pair ahead of them to follow. "I don't get it. If you believe what you're doing is right, why hide who you are?" Sun asked, holding up a half mask in his hand.
"The masks are a symbol. Humanity wanted to make monsters out of us, so we chose to don the faces of monsters." Blake answered.
"Grimm masks… That's kind of dark." Sun stated.
"So was the guy who started it." She answered, putting on her own mask.
"Always sunshine and rainbows with you…" Sun stated and put his own mask on. March on the other hand didn't.
"Uh, you know what… why don't I just stay out here and you guys just fill me in on what you find out." March said, tapping his left foot nervously. Sun and Blake just glared at him and reluctantly, the rabbit faunus put on his own mask. Neither of them noticed a figure in ninja gear had spotted them and silently followed them into building.
Once Blake, March and Sun entered the building, they found the new recruits standing by the side of a stage while numerous White Fang soldiers stood at the left and on the balconies above them. The trio soon came to a stop while a fully-masked White Fang soldier with tattoos came up on the stage with large sheets emblazoned with the bloody wolf and claw marks covered some large objects and some crates.
As for the figure who followed them in, they were perched on a support beam out of the sight of guards on the balcony and kept their eyes trained on the fully masked soldier. "Thank you all for coming. For those of you joining us for the first time tonight, allow me to introduce a very special comrade of ours! I can assure you, he is the key to obtaining what we have fought for, for so long!" the soldier said as Roman walked out onto the stage, smiling confidently despite the protests from the crowd.
"Thank you, thank you! Please, hold your applause." Roman said with a mocking wave as his associate, a girl in brown, white and pink clothing walked out from underneath the sheet. The figure on the support beam eyed the girl with curiosity and surprise.
"What's a human doing here?!" one of the new recruits asked, pointing at Roman.
"I'm glad you asked, 'Deerie'! Now, I'll be the first to admit, humans… are the worst. Case in point. So, I understand why you would like to see us all locked away, or, better yet, killed!" Roman began.
"So, is he going somewhere with this?" Sun asked Blake while March just shrugged his shoulders.
"But, before the claws come out, I'd like to mention the fact that you and I all have a common enemy: the ones in control, the people pulling the strings, the dirty, rotten humans that run our kingdoms!" he continued, getting the crowd to change their tune and agree with Roman. "Government, military, even the schools; they're all to blame for your lot in life! And they're all pests that need to be dealt with! Fortunately, I'm the best exterminator around… No offense to any rodents in the room."
A snap of his fingers, the curtains fall to the ground and everyone aside from Blake, March, Sun and the mysterious figure applaud as appearing behind Roman with the mark of the White Fang logo painted on its shoulder was an Atlesian Paladin-290 which had a container attached to its back, several rows of activated B1 battle droids and two All-Terrain-Scout Transports while the tarps on the crates revealed to be the belonging to the Empire. "Whoa, that's a big robot…" Sun gulped.
"How did he get that?" Blake asked.
"What about what's in those crates?" March asked.
"As some of you may have heard, this right here is Atlas's newest defense against all the scary things in the world. And thanks to my 'employer', we've managed to snag a few before they, uh, 'hit the shelves'." He said, tapping the foot of the giant mech before he moved to one of the crates, opened it and pulled out an E-11 blaster. "And these lovely beauties, come from a very generous person who wishes to support your cause, the same can be said for these fine machines and vehicles. Now, many of your brothers have already moved down to our new operation in the southeast. If you'd rather stay within the city, that's fine… But if you're truly ready to fight for what you believe in; this is the arsenal I can provide you. Any questions?" he finished, getting a roaring applause which told him all he needed.
Having gotten the information they needed, Blake, Sun and March were about to leave when the White Fang soldier who introduced Roman earlier had just called for all new recruits to step forwards. As for the figure watching from above, they continued to watch waiting for the right moment to intervene if necessary.
Back at the club, Yang's interrogation of Junior wasn't having the same results as the investigation the three Faunus students were finding. "I don't know!" Junior told the blonde-haired girl, putting down the glass he was holding.
"How can you not know?" Yang questioned.
"I haven't talked to him! I haven't even seen him since the night you first came in here." Junior answered, leaning and pointing his finger in Yang's face. "He paid up front, I lent him my men, and none of them ever. Came. Back." he added.
"So where did they go?" Neptune asked, rushing to Yang's side only to get a two-finger slap to the head from Rick.
"What kind of stupid question is that? They never came back!" he shouted to Neptune before turning to Yang. "Who is this guy?" he asked the blonde girl.
"Probably someone who thinks he's trying to act cool for the ladies." Rose interjected. "If someone says they haven't come back, then its safe to assume that they are either hurt really badly, dead or left to find a new line of work that doesn't involve them getting their asses kicked."
"Thanks for that." Yang said to rick before pushing Neptune out of the way. "And you don't need to worry about him; worry about me if I don't find out what I want!" Yang growled.
"I already told you everything! Torchwick hired my boys, and I guess he wasn't happy with them, which is something I can relate to!" Junior answered, shouting the last part to his men who just grumbled and walked away in response.
"Come on, Neptune." Yang told the blue haired boy and both started to walk away.
"Wait." Junior called out, getting the two students to turn around. "There is something I think you might find interesting." He said, getting both students to go back to the bar. "A few days ago, someone came in here looking for bounty hunter work or something. Guy had some weird looking armor, looked like he'd been through hell and back." he added.
"Go on." Yang told the club owner, Robyn and Rick listened in as well.
"I told him I didn't have any bounty hunter jobs, but he decided to stay around for a while, see if anything came up. As for his armor, it was dented and scorched all over. Don't think it was done by the Grimm or any weapon I have seen before." He added, throwing a picture taken by one of the camera's in the club to Yang. "Here, figure you might make better sense of it then I will."
"Thanks." Yang said, catching the picture and walked away with Neptune.
"We get everything we need?" Neptune asked.
"Well, we got everything we can. Hopefully the rest of the team is having better luck." Yang answered.
Once Yang and Neptune left, Junior turned his attention to Rick and Robyn. "Now then, as I was saying before that explosive entrance. I believe you were asking about getting you in contact with a certain someone?" Junior asked the two.
"That's right." Robyn said, producing several Lien cards from her vest pocket. "I think this should be more then enough to cover the fee for the job and repair the damages done to the club." She said.
"Yeah, it will do." Junior said, taking the money. "I've heard rumors about a mysterious looking ninja in Vale lately. Before you even ask, it's a girl and she's been here a few times, asking me the same things those two were asking me. I told her I didn't have anything, but she told me to give you two a message. She wanted you two to meet them at the railyard sometime later tonight." Junior explained.
"Thanks." Rick said, throwing his empty soda can into the nearby recycling can. "So, what do I ow you this time?" he asked.
"Nothing. After all those favors you did for me long ago, we're even now. But if I ever need your help again, I'll know who to call." Junior answered.
"Thanks." Rick said and left with his aunt.
Meanwhile, back at the warehouse the White Fang continued to cheer loudly as the recruits marched towards the stage while Blake, Sun and March having no other choice but to follow along. Blake was coming up with a plan when Torchwick zeroed the three out, before frowning. March's foot began to tap as the droids walked towards the crowd heading right towards the trio with their weapons primed and ready.
Before they even got close to them, Blake spotted a nearby junction box unsheathed her sword which she then transformed into its pistol mode and shot the box, causing the lights to go out and giving the three of them the chance to escape. The figure from above then dropped down from the ceiling and unsheathed a familiar looking hilt and waited in the shadows.
As for Blake, Sun and March the three of them crashed through the window and started to run as fast they could as a mechanized sound from behind them crashed through the wall of the building, indicating the Paladin and Walkers had been activated and started to follow them. The three students managed to get to the roof top but both the walkers and Paladin continued to pursue them. "So, you wouldn't happen to have… oh, I don't know… some form of backup?!" Sun asked amidst the twirls he made in the air.
"On it!" Blake answered, grabbing her Scroll and putting it to her ear as she continued to jump.
As Weiss and Arthur left the CCT tower, the Schnee heiress pulled out her Scroll and listened to Blake's message. "Everyone! If you can hear me, we need back-" Blake began before Sun interrupted her and shouted 'Help!' in the background.
"It appears our friends need some help." Arthur said to Weiss, who simply rolled her eyes and started to run out the door with a little smile on her face as Arthur followed after her.
Ruby and Galen who had finally gotten down from the roof, heard the call as well. "Big robot! And its big! Really big! And they got some kind of metal chickens with them!" Sun shouted.
"Oh, I am not missing this!" Ruby said excitedly, running off to join the fight. Galen followed after her, hoping that what Sun had called 'metal chicken's' were not what he thought they were.
Back outside the club, Yang was back on her motorcycle with her helmet and sunglasses on while Neptune looked at his partners scroll over her shoulder while Rose hopped on her own bike. "That Torchwick guy is in the robot! But not, like, it didn't eat him; he's, like controlling it or something! And those chickens, their being operated by the White Fang!" Sun shouted over the Scroll as Robyn and Rick exited.
"Where are you guys?" Yang asked. As if on cue Blake, Sun and March ran through the street behind them, Sun shouting 'Hurry!' at the top of his lungs as the Paladin and Walkers continued after them.
"I think that was them." Neptune stated.
"Yeah, I got it." Yang answered, putting her scroll away and quickly circled Bumblebee around, much to Neptune's surprise and drove after them.
"You thinking they might need some back up?" Robyn asked her nephew. Before Rick could answer, several trailers from a couple of parked trucks opened up and coming out of the trailers were numerous tanks of unknown origin. In truth, these tanks were the Ground Armored Tank or GAT, a light tank droid used by the Separatists in the early days of the Clone Wars. The tanks then followed after Yang and Neptune who had no idea about what as on their tail.
"I think its safe to say that they will need some backup." Rick answered and hoped into the drivers seat while his aunt hoped into the passenger seat and grabbed his rifle which shifted into its machine gun mode. "Seatbelts please!" he joked and gave the buggy some gas before giving chase.
As the two went after surprise guests, Blake, Sun and March made it to the highway, jumped down into a very busy street and began to hop from car to car as Torchwick followed after them with the two walkers close behind, pushing vehicles out of his way and causing a massive traffic jam behind him as the numerous light tanks landed on the road and started to follow after them. Roman grinned in anger as the three kids jumped onto more cars as a blue holographic screen surrounded his face.
"If you guys want to start shooting, be my guest." Roman said to the White Fang soldiers in the two walkers who then quickly opened up with their twin chin mounted blaster cannons. Blake, Sun and March jumped from car to car, avoiding the rounds from the cannons.
Yang and Neptune soon arrived, driving right beside the mech suit. "We've got to slow it down!" Yang shouted to Neptune who reached for his gun, but Roman quickly noticed the two of them and crashed into a multitude of cars with the Paladins strong frame, sending them flying towards the two chasers and forcing Yang to swerve to the wide in order to avoid the flying debris while Neptune flailed in a panic.
Rose then came up behind on her own bike at full speed, firing her shotgun in one hand while keeping the other hand on the accelerator. Her rounds slammed into one of the walkers, which then turned around and opened up on her, forcing her to zig-zag between the shots. "You bastards are going to pay for any damages done to my pa's bike!" she shouted.
Yang was quick in bringing her bike back on two wheels again, allowing Neptune unslung his weapon, took aim and fired several bolts of blue electricity at the Paladin, forcing Roman to grimace from the force of the attacks. Seeing that his shots weren't doing much damage, Neptune flipped his gun into a staff with an energy blade at the end before jumping from Yang's bike while the blade of his staff split into three blades which he then drove into the top of the Paladin, forcing Blake, Sun and March to look back.
"Neptune, hang on!" Sun shouted, but his efforts were in vain for the Mech continued bucking and threatened to make him fall. Seeing his teammate in trouble, Sun smashed his palms together and two golden-glowing outlines of himself appeared, leaping off and going over numerous vehicles before colliding with the Paladins front before they exploded and created a blinding light, allowing Sun to leap forward with his Nunchucks held high, but sadly Roman turned just enough to send Neptune flying off the mech and slammed right into his leader, sending both of them off the highway as the Imperial Walkers caught up with the group.
Blake could only watch helplessly as Sun and Neptune went flying, before Weiss called over her Scroll letting Blake know where she was before the Heiress and Arthur landed in the middle of the road. Holding Myrtenaster, Weiss waited as Roman charged towards her before spinning and plunged her blade into ground, summoning a circle of ice across the pavement, causing both the Paladin and Walkers to slip and crash, the Paladin flying over the young Huntress and falling off the ramp while the Walkers slipped off the ramp and landed feet first, much to the surprise of a waiting Ruby and Galen.
The tanks on the other hand had no problems with traversing the ice, same thing went for the buggy that Rick and Robyn were driving. Lining up the sights of his vehicles machine guns on one of the enemy tanks, Rick pulled the trigger sending a three second burst of high-velocity dust rounds towards the tank which then exploded. "They don't call me a 'gunner' for nothing." Rick joked. A few seconds later, the pair soon started to take fire from behind.
"Heads up, we got several flies on our tail!" Robyn called out. Taking aim with her nephew's machine gun, Robyn opened up with a burst gunfire taking down one of the incoming Viper Probe Droids, which were typically used by the Empire. "Whatever these things are, they don't look like any of the tin-cans Ironwood's been using!" she shouted, firing another burst of gunfire taking out two more Probe droids. "We need to give those kids a hand!"
"Hang on!" Rick said and shifted the vehicle to third gear and sped up after the droid tanks which continued towards the next off ramp.
Back with Galen and Ruby, the rest of their teams fell in line beside up their leaders, taking up positions while Roman chuckled and pressed a button on his controls before he moved slowly to the teens. The container on the Paladins back opened up and emerging from the container were numerous IG-100 Magnaguards who's staffs crackled with electricity. "You three take care of the droids. I'll deal with the walkers, Ruby you take care of that care of that horrible excuse for a walker!" Galen shouted, igniting his lightsabers and charged towards the walkers.
The two walkers were then quick to open up with their grenade launchers, sending numerous concussion grenades towards the young jedi who used the force to send the grenades back towards the walkers, causing them to stagger back before Galen sliced the grenade launchers off with his sabers. The walkers then opened up with their chin-cannons firing rapidly and forcing Galen to backflip several times to avoid the blasts.
Meanwhile, his teammates began to engage the Magnaguards. Bringing Excalibur up to counter the staff of a Magnaguard, Arthur parried the staff of the droid and thrusted his sword into the chest of his opponent, destroying the droid before he ducked the blow from another droid and cut the droid in half. "I despise machines programed for fighting." he spat before he charged at two more droids.
Firing her sabers gun mode at the head of two droids, Rose parried the attack of a Magnaguard before firing another few shots at the droid's head, her shots were infused with lightning Dust so the droid's systems short-circuited leaving it vulnerable to a slash from March's own sword and blowing the droids head off. A usage of March's semblance allowed the Rabbit too eliminate a few other droids with precise slashes across the torso. "Nice teamwork." Rose said to March before she holstered her swords and fired her shotgun with one hand.
"I love to take people's heads off." March said, getting Rose to look a little concerned at the Rabbit Faunus before she kept firing her shotgun at the remaining Magnaguards, taking out two more of them before one of the walkers exploded as it crashed down onto the last of the droids. "Take cover!" March shouted.
Arthur quickly shifted Excalibur into its ranged mode and fired off several rounds which slammed into the Walkers armor, doing no damage but managed to get its attention towards Team GARM instead of Team RWBY who had their hands full with Roman's Paladin. The rest of Team GARM quickly opened up with their ranged modes of their weapons at the scout walker, but the rounds didn't even damage it.
Blast after blast from the walker's cannons forced the group to dodge each of the blasts as the walker kept moving closer and closer to them. Another blast from the walker's cannons knocked Rose, Arthur and March back but their aura held but it was dangerously low. "I've always wanted to kill a couple of huntsmen." The pilot of the walker said before they pushed the walker towards the group of students intending on crushing them.
Suddenly, the walker stopped moving as if it was held in place. Looking behind the walker, the other members of Team GARM looked to see Galen using the Force to hold the walker in place before he brought it crashing down backwards. The crash caused the walkers energy cell to go critical and then exploded taking the walker and its crew with it.
"I hate those things." Galen muttered before he watched as Roman swung the Paladins arm and knocked Ruby back. "RUBY!" he shouted and dashed towards Ruby, slicing apart the bullets from the Paladins gun.
"You want to die, kid? Fine I'll kill you first before I kill Little Red here." Roman gloated through the mech's loudspeakers before firing a series of missiles at Galen, forcing Galen to dodge the missiles. He managed to dodge almost of the missiles before the last missile slammed into the ground in front of him, knocking him back and making him drop his sabers. "Time to pay you back for the humiliation you handed me the first time we met!" Roman shouted and was about punch Galen before Yang pushed him out of the way, taking the hit which sent her flying into a nearby column.
"Yang!" Blake shouted.
"Don't worry! With each hit she gets stronger, and she uses that energy to fight back! That's what makes her special." Ruby assured Blake.
(Die starts)
True to her word, Yang slowly got back to her feet with her hair burning a brilliant white as she clenches her fists. Roman, thinking he was victorious threw another punch, but much to his surprise Yang caught the punch with her own hand and with eyes filled with rage smashed her knuckles into the second arm, obliterating it while Galen called his sabers back to him.
A desperate Roman then kicked Yang to the side, but passed her sister and teammates as Ruby shouted 'Bumblebee'. Blake threw her weapon out to Yang who caught it and swung around for another hit, but Roman stepped out of the way.
"We have to slow it down!" Ruby shouted.
"And how do you propose we do that?" Weiss asked.
Before they could come up with a plan, Roman's machine came to a sudden stop thanks to Galen's use of the force, leaving machine vulnerable to a strong punch from Yang who swung around in a circle with the help of Blake, increasing her speed which then impacted the Mech. The power of Yang's attack shattered the mech into tiny pieces while its pilot got up and dusted themselves off. "Just got this thing cleaned…" Roman groaned in annoyance before he turned to see Robyn and Rick arrive as the last droid tank exploded behind him.
"Freeze!" Robyn shouted, aiming her nephews' weapon at the criminal as Yang fired a single shot at the thief before they were saved at the last second by Roman's partner who opened up an umbrella.
"It can't be." Rick said in shock.
"Ladies, gentlemen, Ice Queen…" Roman began, getting a 'Hey!' from an annoyed Weiss. "Always a pleasure! Neo if you would…"
Said girl then looked in Ricks direction with an evil grin before curtsying her enemies with a bow before Yang lunged at them with her fists raised. "NO WAIT!" Rick shouted as Yang's punch hit the outlaws, only for their image to shatter if it were a mirror.
(End song)
All of them soon turned see the two escape in a Bullhead while the two teams ran up to Yang side who had now cooled off. "NEO!" Rick shouted in agony, getting surprised looks from the two teams.
"You know that girl?" Weiss asked.
"Yes. She was my friend, but I thought she died. Why is she working with a scumbag like Torchwick?" Rick growled.
"We'll get our answers later. Right now, we need to get out of here before the police arrive and arrest us for something we didn't do. As for me and my nephew, we have a meeting to attend to." Robyn said before hoping back into the buggy with her nephew taking one last look at the fleeing bullheads with a saddened look.
Back at the warehouse, the White Fang recruits had cleared out with most of the items that Roman had brought them while the battle droids remained behind to make sure the rest of the items were ready for transport. "Make sure not to leave anything behind. The boss said that if we leave anything that can be traced back to him, we'll be melted into scrap metal." One of the droids said.
"Roger, Roger." Another droid said before a metal chain whip wrapped around the droid's torso. "What the AHAHAHAHAHA!" The droid screamed as it was pulled into the shadows before the light of a green blade sliced it into pieces. The other droids noticed this, stopped what they were doing and opened fire at the shadows but when they stopped firing, the figure and the light were nowhere to be seen.
"Where'd they go?" the droid commander asked before they soon had their answer as the sound of a blaster firing echoed through the warehouse and the droids turned to see their attacker. "Hey, you're not authorized to be here!" the droid said to the unknown figure who said nothing and ignited their lightsaber. "It's a Jedi! Fire!"
(One for the Money starts)
Blocking blaster fire, the unknown figure moved towards the droids and proceeded to cut them down without any hesitation. Slicing apart the blaster of another droid, the mysterious person jumped out of the way as blaster fire from several droids behind them which slammed into their own allies. "Watch where you're shooting!" one of the droids shouted only to be pushed down by a mysterious force.
The attacker, gripping their saber with both hands, continued to deflect blaster fire away from them and back to the shooters who were destroyed before they threw their whip towards one of the droids. "GET OVER HERE!" the figure shouted, their whip wrapping around one of the droids which they then pulled towards them and sliced in half.
Their amber eyes narrowed while a grin appeared underneath their facemask and charged towards the droids, leaping and dodging weapons fire and dispatching numerous droids with ease before two dozen or so super battle droids appeared and trained their blasters at the figure. Just seconds before one of the droids could fire, a barrage of blue blaster bolts struck some of the droids from behind and charging into the building was Rex, Echo, Waxer, Boil and Fives, who unknown to anyone were keeping eyes on the building, even the White Fang. "Take these Clankers down boys, do it for Hevy!" Rex shouted, firing his signature twin DC-17s at the droids, while his brothers fired their DC-15S at the droids while maintaining cover.
Rex proceeded forwards and downed a few of the remaining B1's with ease before he started to fight alongside the mysterious individual. "I don't know who you are, but know that we're not ones to shoot an ally in the back, especially since we have those damned chips out of our heads! Rex saber wielder, firing another burst of blaster fire from his blasters. "Besides, if you have a Lightsaber, then that means you're a Jedi and ally in my book." He added.
"I am by far no means a Jedi, but as for my possession of a lightsaber I can assure you I didn't steal it if that's what you were implying." The figure replied, identifying herself as a woman. "If you must know, I found this weapon many years ago and have learned to use it. Much like the one who saved my life." The woman answered.
"Well, if you're giving it to the clankers, that makes you an ally in my book." Rex answered back, firing his pistols at several more droids while the mysterious woman slashed a few more with her lightsaber. A few remaining super battle droids charged towards the woman, but the woman slashed apart one across the torso, ducked underneath another and destroyed its legs before she swung her blade, cleaving the arms of the droid before thrusting her blade into the droid's torso.
(End song)
The last of the droids fell as more clone troopers arrived to secure whatever was left behind by the White Fang in hopes of finding any leads as to where they were getting these supplies. "I appreciate the assistance soldiers, I admit, I would have had a tough time dealing with these machines by myself without your firepower." The woman said, deactivating her lightsaber and clipping it to her belt.
"Its nothing, ma'am. But I do have to ask, who exactly are you? You don't look like a Jedi or Huntress." Rex stated.
"All you need to know is that I am an ally, to both you, your men, the Jedi and humanity." The woman answered. "That is all I can tell you about who I am, but if you must call me something, call me; Fulcrum." The woman answered before leaving the warehouse.
Once the woman was clear of the warehouse, she quickly made her way to the railyard several miles away from the warehouse where Rick and Robyn were waiting for her. "It appears that you got my message." The woman said, lowering her mask to reveal her mouth. "I knew that Junior would deliver."
"So, what do you have for us? Where's my niece?" Robyn asked while Rick just sat quietly in the drivers seat of the buggy, still trying to wrap his head around the fact that his old friend was now working for Torchwick.
"All I know is that your niece is somewhere in Vale. As for her status, I'm don't know. But if she is in Vale, you'll find her. What I do know is that she was attacked, but by who I don't know. All I can do is keep on looking for more information which I will deliver to you both when I find it." The woman explained.
A few police bullheads flew overhead some miles away from their location. "It appears that you and your friends have caused quite a ruckus. We'll need to keep this short." The woman said, raising her mask back above her mouth before she dashed towards a departing freight train. "I'll be sure to keep you both informed of anything that I might believe to be useful to you both." She called out before leaping onto a hopper car while Robyn and Rick watched as the train vanished in the distance.
"Well, at least we know she's alive." Robyn assured Rick. "But the question is, what is going on with the rest of Vale?" she asked.
And done. So, this was quite a bit different then the original canon so I hope you all like it.
Now first off, I really need some ideas for Galen's semblance. I'm kind of at a loss for it.
Second, I'll explain Ricks weapon. It's a ranged weapon whose basis is a bullpup assault rifle but transforms into a battle rifle, a marksmen rifle and a light machine gun. For appearances the assault rifle mode is the MA5C, the BR55 for the battle rifle mode, M392 for the marksmen rifle and the M739 for the LMG all of which are weapons used in Halo. His sidearms are the M7 submachine gun
As for his connection with Neo, like he said, he and Neo were once friends. But more on that will come later.
Third, it appears that someone is working against the White Fang and has a lightsaber. Who could it be? I know who it is, but I won't tell anyone.
Anyway, please read and review and leave your ideas for Galen's semblance, I really need ideas for a semblance for him so please give me a hand and I will see you all next time. Also, a happy late Thanksgiving to all of you. I'll see you all next time.
