Ch.2 WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT!

The thunder sound &red light were all too familiar to the up-time citizens of Grantville.
Many downtime citizens were running around like it was the apocalypse. Then they saw the rocket.
That mildly brought them out of they're panic causing them to gawk & point in wonder. Among
those gawking were Frank Stone, his girlfriend Giovanna, Mackay, Lennox, Julie, Gretchen, & Jeff.
"Whut in the bluudy hell is that?" Said Lennox as he stared at the rocket. Jeff replied with "Holy
Crap, that's a fucking rocket!" "Like those Apollo behemoths that took men to the moon?" asked
Mackay "Yes". Mackay, like the other Scot Allies of the U.S.E. had brushed up on up-time history
& tech. "Should someone investigate?" asked Giovanna. Just then an unmarked truck stopped in
front of them and a guy with a shotgun rolled down the window and looked out at them. "Eddie
what are you guys doing?" said Jeff. "We've been assigned to figure out what the fuck caused that."
He pointed at the slowly disappearing but quickly ascending rocket. "Anyone with military
experience is welcome to come." He concluded. "That's about everyone here, except Giovanna."
Said Frank. "Go then, I will wait for you." Said Giovanna then slipped him some quick tongue.
Everyone else piled in the back of the truck after making fake gagging noises.
"Everyone please remain calm. We will determine what has happened." Said one of the technicians
of the launch site. After turning off the mike he quickly added "I have no fucking idea how we're
gonna do that." Another technician was looking at a computer screen & said " On a good note, the
Benju 1 has entered orbit without problem, we should receive surface telemetry…now." They
looked at what was being relayed back to them. "What the hell, that's not the coast, 70 of the
surface is covered in water, WHY THE HELL IS THE MOON GREY?" As they debated what
happened, the other Kelgians were undulating around trying to make sense of what happened and
Wert & his friends moved to the relatively peaceful city outskirts. Unbeknownst to them they would be the first Kelgians to contact alien life. TBC Ch. 3 Coming soon!
