So, it looks to be a three-way tie between the Strike Wyvern, Wyvern and Rapier Wasp MK2. That being said, I think I'll give Galen the Rapier Wasp MK2 as his plane. It will give me a great reason to use the opening to a certain anime I like.

Now I will admit, the F15 and F15E have a greater range and weapons payload then the F-20, but after watching the anime where the main character flies the plane it's become a personal favorite of mine. But that doesn't mean Galen will only be flying the Remnant version of the real F-20. Oh, Nitro Zeus, that plane you mentioned will be Galen's back up plane since it's a two-seater and can be modified to use an astromech copilot.

Anyway, it's time for the return of one of the deadliest weapons the Separatists had developed during the Clone Wars, a weapon that only Plo, Wolfe, Sinker and Boost survived. For those who guess right, you'll be surprised as to how its destroyed.

Now before I get onto reviews, I recently started thinking about the video game, Defender: Saving the Human Race from the early 2000's and I think I'll be taking another que from that game in terms of a new type of Grimm and vehicles. The new Grimm and the species they are based on will be appearing/mentioned in this chapter.

Now onto the reviews/PM.

Darth Cody: Thanks man, but please do leave a review instead of sending me a PM. Now in regard to the moment that Alice and March reunite, I think the right time will be when I reach a certain event of Volume 3 that everyone is looking forwards too.

Monster King: Thanks, but please tell me what it is you like about my story. I really want to hear what you think about it.

Luffy L Deathwalker: I really hope that isn't the case. If it is, I'm going to rectify that for my story. In my opinion, no child shouldn't be without their mother. Besides, in Mobile Suit RWBY, I already had Ruby and Yang reunite with Summer, but that story is going to be undergoing a rewrite when I get the chance.

Galen Marek, the guest: No, Galen's semblance doesn't revive the dead, its replenishing a person's Aura using part of his own. Like the Trans-am feature of the GN-Drives from Gundam OO it's a double-edged sword. Since he transfers part of his to whoever he says, it reduces Galen's strength. It's nothing like Darth Plaguis. Now in regard to the clones telling Galen about his parents, you never know that might happen.

Spartan-626: Thanks, but Ruby and Galen kissing won't be for a while. You're going to be surprised by the relationship between the Female Nite-Owl and March. You and me both, that hound was one ugly motherfucker, especially with what was inside it. I think I might have Galen be the one to kill it. I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks that Salem was playing Ruby about the fate of her mother.

Chaotic Skunk Demon: Thanks. In regard to the spelling errors, no one is perfect, but I always like to go back, ready the chapters I have posted and see what I need to fix. Now if you are going to read my upcoming Gundam Seed story, I'm still working on the details in regard to the OC and his mobile suit. I agree with you, the Scorpion shout out is something I love using and Sub-Zero is one of the coolest characters in MK, as for Cinder getting that blade, you'll see who gave it to her.

Operation Meteor: Thanks. I figured if Galen were to meet someone native to Remnant, it would probably be best if it was Qrow. I hope I don't take any time away from you writing your own stories. If you can offer me some pointers, I'd be very grateful.

Finally, Jack Smith1: I look forwards to your Resident Evil/Star Wars story. Here's a suggestion, have a clone or two pick up a Remington 870, MP5, Benelli M3 Super 90, Colt 727 and whatever weapons that are found on the bodies of dead USS members. One more thing, maybe have Captain Fordo/ ARC-77 and his unit assist the legions you are having as part of the story. Also, not so sure about the clones recovering the DNA of Jango Fett, but we'll see. And thanks for the support.

Alright it's for Galen to earn the title that Cipher earned for all the planes he shot down in the Round Table. Disclaimers are the same as before, please enjoy.

Chapter 30: Birth of the Demon Lord

Several miles off the coast of Vacuo, a lone Atlas Airship patrolled their sector while its complement of Sentinel and Sabre fighters conducted combat air-patrols. Increased Grimm activity after what the world was calling 'the second breach' had put the other kingdoms on high-alert and while Vacuo didn't have a military of its own, the Kingdom of Atlas sent an airship to patrol the coast of Vacuo.

The Sentinel series of fighters was developed years before the great war, starting with the original MG-21. The versions being used by the airship were the MG-29M and MG-31H, the primary aircraft of the Atlas air-fleet.

The MG-29M is a single seater, twin-engine aircraft and designed to combating enemy aircraft and aerial based Grimm, but the aircraft could also carry bombs if needed if they came across a Grimm nest. The top speed of the 29M was Mach 2.25, several times faster than the original Sentinel fighter. In terms of firepower the MG-29M was armed with two 30mm cannons carrying eight-hundred rounds per gun and had a total of seven hard points, six underwing for missiles and one fuselage for an external drop tank of Combustion Dust fuel.

The MG-31H on the hand was also a twin-engine aircraft but was a double seater much faster with a top speed of Mach 2.83 due to its airframe, making it faster than the Dagger and Scimitar used by Vale and had the latest avionics developed by Atlas. Built for interceptor missions and attacking enemy air or naval fleets, the 31H had a total of eight under-wing pylons for air-to-air and air-to-surface missiles along with two 23mm cannons holding a thousand rounds each. Its effective range was between three thousand to five-thousand and four hundred kilometers, far greater than that of the Wyvern.

The fighters of the ship belonged to the 252nd fighter squadron, better known as Hammer Squadron of the Atlas air force, but these pilots were born in Mantle instead of Atlas. As a result, they didn't carry the same human superiority as other pilots who were born in Atlas, especially since quite a few of their pilots were Faunus, but this did limit their options for available aircraft, but they didn't care so long as they could serve their kingdom.

"Echo 1 to carrier, we've finished our sweep of the area. No sign of Grimm or hostile aircraft, returning home now." The lead pilot said over the radio. A response was quick to be given by the command ship, but the transmission was soon cut-off. "Echo 1 to carrier, do you copy?" Echo 1 called out, but there was no replay.

Just seconds before they tried again, the radars of every pilot picked up multiple targets approaching from over the ocean. Multiple vulture droid starfighters accompanied by Scarab and Tri-Fighters streaked over the ocean with their missiles armed and at the ready. A flight of missiles from the enemy fighters streaked towards the Hammer Squadron fighters, forcing them to break formation and avoid the missiles, but some of the Sentinels were destroyed. As a result, a dogfight broke out between the planes and droids. Bullets and lasers flew through the air as the command ship prepared to fire its laser batteries at the enemy craft when a large battleship came into view and forced the carrier to turn its attention towards the new ship.

Before the ship could even fire its own weapons, the battleship turned to port before a massive purple sphere surged towards the ship, passing through it and shutting down every single one of the systems before the enemy ship opened up with its massive array of turrets opened up and peppered the enemy ship with cannon fire, destroying the ship much to the shock of the pilots who were quick to try and launch an attack on the enemy vessel, only to be shot down by the droid fighters and the battleships turrets.

The droid fighters were called back to the ship with only minimal casualties as onboard the battleships bridge, a tactical droid activated the holoprojector and made their report to Maul. "Lord Maul, the final checks on the primary weapon have been completed. We encountered an Atlas patrol but have destroyed all survivors." The droid reported.

"Continue with your present course and head toward the staging area. Once you have arrived, begin assembling the assault force. We must be ready to launch our attack." Maul instructed the droid. The tactical assured Maul that the forces would be ready for the attack before the hologram of Maul vanished as the massive warship made its way towards the deserts of Vacuo.

Several hours later, Warwolf Squadron along with Dante arrived at the last known location of ship and Hammer Squadron and only found the wreckage of the airship, fighters and several droid fighters. "Warwolf 1 to base, we've found the wreckage of the airship and fighters. No survivors, but there's a lot whole lot of wrecked droid fighters on the ground. Something wiped them out and I don't think it was just a squadron of droid fighters, General." Bishop reported to Ironwood over the radio.

"Is there any sign of what attacked them or where they went?" Ironwood asked.

"That's a negative, General. Whatever did this must have bugged out of here quickly. I don't think that…" Bishop continued before Dante cut in.

"Sorry to interrupt you, colonel. But R8 is picking up multiple contacts on radar heading due west towards the middle of the Vacuo desert. I think it might be our culprit. Requesting permission to investigate and assess the enemy strength." Dante requested.

"Permission granted. Warwolf Squadron, you are to intercept those contacts. Find out what attacked our forces and eliminate it. The Vytal festival is still a week away and the last thing we need is to have the visitors and participants in a panic." Ironwood replied.

"General, I recommend you dispatch the Galm and Garuda Teams, have them check out the Round Table. I have a feeling that area is going to be the sight of a battle in the near future." Bishop suggested. Ironwood agreed as the five F-22's turned towards the direction of unknown contacts.

Passing over the vast reaches of the desert, all five F-22 pilots kept their eyes glued to their radar, looking for the unknown contacts. It felt like hours before finally they found what they were looking for. A large scale base of unknown origin and make came into view with multiple frigates measuring eight-hundred and forty-five meters in length, cruisers measuring one-thousand, one hundred and eighty-seven meters in length, battleships measuring one-thousand and eighty-eight meters in length, landing ships with four wings, measuring three-hundred and seventy meters in length and supply ships that looked like magic eight balls cut in half with a large slab or something in the middle measuring nine-hundred and eight point seventy-eight meters in length.

As for the base itself, the five pilots observed multiple tanks, troop transports, walkers, fighters, bombers, interceptors, gunships and thousands of infantry units loading a large ship measuring almost five-thousand meters in length and armed to the teeth with hundreds of guns. "Colonel, are you seeing what I'm seeing?" Guts asked, shocked beyond belief.

"I am, Guts. And I think it's best that we bug out of here before the enemy spots us. We need to report this." Bishop replied and veered away from the base with the others following his lead. They didn't get very far before Warwolf's Three and Four picked up several contacts coming from ground level before they started to take fire from incoming contacts. Both pilots were killed when a projectile from the new contacts slammed directly into their cockpits.

"Warwolf's 3 and 4 are down! They're both dead!" Jose shouted.

"I know, Guts, I know." William replied as the killers of their squad mates were revealed to be Grimm, but a type of they had never seen before. The Grimm was insectoid in appearance with a hard carapace, a medium-sized red eye and a bioluminescent red glow, but what surprised the three remaining pilots was the presence of four robotic like arms on the bottom while the other four arms where organic. "Warwolf 1 to base, Warwolfs 3 and 4 are down, no sign of chutes. We've encountered a type of Grimm that appears to be insect based, it's not a Rapier Wasp or Lancer! I say again, it's not a Rapier Wasp or Lancer. It appears to be part machine and has some kind of weapon embedded into it!" the colonel announced.

"A new type of Grimm! Tell me you aren't serious Colonel?" Ironwood asked.

"It is, General. Send the Galm and Garuda Teams to back us up, we can't shake them and be advised, we found a large droid base in the desert and whoever's controlling them has amassed a large-scale attack force." Bishop confirmed before he checked his radar and saw that he had one of the new Grimm on his tail. "Warwolf 2, Mobius 1, engage bandits! Hold them off until back up arrives." The colonel ordered his remaining squad mates.

(Dogfight, Ace Combat Assault Horizon OST starts)

Attacking like a pack of Beowolfs, four of the new Grimm went after Guts firing lasers from their body. "Shit! They got lasers!" Guts announced, breaking left and forcing these new Grimm to overshoot him. "Since when are Grimm able to use weapons? This has to be the work of Merlot!"

"It's not Merlot, this is something else! Only someone with advanced tech could have done this and Merlot, he only experimented with Grimm not turn them into Grimm/machine hybrids! I want to say its Atlas tech, but crap like this is illegal!" Dante shouted, banking right and circling around another group of the new Grimm and launched his XMAA's. Four missiles launched from his weapons bay and streaked towards the Grimm, making contact and exploding into chucks of body and machine parts. "At least these things don't have shields!" he sighed.

"Stay focused! Hit them hard and don't let your guard down! They maybe part Grimm, but there also machines and that means they can shoot us!" Bishop advised from his own cockpit as several of the Grimm picked him out and streaked after him. "Bastards are fast as hell," he said before raising his nose to the vertical level and get behind his pursuers and opened up with his twin cannons. His cannons screamed to life as an eight second burst tore the Grimm to shreds, one of which spiraled out of control like a fighter into the ground below. "But they don't have any shields, so it makes it easy for us to eliminate them!" he added.

"Glad to hear that, Colonel! Cause I could use some help right about now! I've got bastards on my tail, and I can't shake them!" Dante shouted over the radio. Craning his neck, Bishop spotted Dante with six of the Grimm on his tail, firing their cannons at him. Enemy fire slammed into Dante's plane, but his shield held. "Good thing I got some upgrades for my bird; otherwise I would be dead already!" Dante said with a bit of humor.

Guts on the other hand was having a bit of trouble of his own. After launching four XMAA's, Jose started to take enemy fire from both the right, left and center as six Grimm attempted a pincer. "Are these things suicidal!?" he asked aloud before diving down for the deck to avoid his foes. To his surprise the Grimm didn't even attempt to avoid one another and slammed into one another. "Ok, these things have to be some kind of Grimm/droid hybrid or something. These things move like there droids and not beasts." He surmised.

"He's right, but who in their right mind would try and turn the Grimm into cyborgs and where did they get the tech to do it?" Dante asked.

"Don't know. But I do know one thing, if these things get through the Round Table, then they'll have a straight path to Vale. Attacking the kingdom will cause a panic and bring the rest of the Grimm closer to the city. Ironwood's men won't be able to hold off an attack of that magnitude, not even with the clone's and Jedi to assist them." Bishop surmised, downing another two of the new Grimm with his cannons. "We've got to warn the kingdom." he stated.

"How can we do that if we're dead!?" Guts asked aloud. No sooner had he spoke, more of the new Grimm arrived, coming from the same direction as the enemy base. "Damn it! This isn't good!" he cursed.

"Warwolf Squadron, Mobius 1! Dive for the deck now!" a familiar voice said over the radio as the two Dagger's of the Galm Team along with the S35 of Trigger and the Strike Dagger of Neo arrived, followed by multiple ARC-170's and Z-95s along with an ETA-2 Actis and Delta-7B Jedi Starfighters followed them. A volley of Proton-Torpedoes' and missiles streaked towards the incoming Grimm like a wall, killing many of them before the remainder scattered. "Wolf-Leader to all pilots, engage the Grimm. All pilots form pairs of two and stick together to take them down. We still don't know the full capabilities of these creatures so remain cautious. Warwolf 1 and 2, Mobius 1, if your craft aren't badly damaged continue to support the other pilots as best you can." Plo said over the commlink that all three Nevermore pilots had.

"Warwolf 1 copies, Master Jedi." Bishop replied, launching one of his standard missiles at another Grimm, killing it in a fireball. "Warwolf 2, Mobius 1. What's your fuel status?" he asked.

"Still got plenty of fuel left. Ammo's good too." Dante replied.

"Same with me, but I took a pretty bad hit in the left wing. It's not too bad, but some of my instruments aren't responding. I'm heading back to base, sorry colonel!" Guts said sadly.

"Don't push your luck on a damaged aircraft, Guts. We'll be fine. Just get out of here." Bishop said to his wingman who immediately headed back to the safety of the Kingdom while he and the others stayed behind to finish off the Grimm.

In the cockpit of his Dagger, Pixy grinned before he and Cipher pitched over and rained a hail of bullets down on two of the Grimm, destroying them in mid-air. "Hey colonel, this is going to cost you extra. Coming in to save your asses means we get paid a little more." Larry joked, firing one of his QAAM's at a hostile, killing it. "That's another one down for me."

"This isn't a competition. We need to kill these things before they get close to the edge of the Round Table." Cipher reminded his number two, firing two of his own QAAM's at two of his own targets, scoring two kills.

The clone pilots followed the orders of their General and broke off into pairs of two, leaving Ahsoka and Plo on their own. Both Jedi picked out two pairs of the new Grimm and unleashed a barrage of laser fire, downing the Grimm. "Ahsoka, do these creatures look familiar?" Plo asked the young Togruta.

"They do. In fact, they look almost like… the Manti." Ahsoka said with a shock. Her thoughts were broken when two of the 'Manti' as she called them got on her tail and attacked her. Cannon fire zipped past her cockpit as she zig-zagged to avoid getting hit. Thankfully, her fighter was equipped with shielding, but she couldn't take the risk and lose her shields.

Lucky for her, Trigger and Countess arrived and unleashed a barrage of 20mm and 30mm bullets at her attackers, killing them in an explosion of blood and machinery. "Thanks, Rick. I owe you and Neo one." Ahsoka said with relief.

"Thank us later. We've still got plenty of…" Neo began before the new Grimm after suffering many loses suddenly retreated. "Did the Grimm just retreat?" Neo asked.

(End song)

"It looks like they did, and they weren't just ordinary Grimm, they were a mix of machinery and organic components. Like Cyborgs, only deadlier." Trigger said, before he said anything else, he noticed that half a-dozen of the new Grimm hadn't retreated and were heading straight towards the rail line below them, where a freight train was transporting much needed Dust from a Schnee company ship that docked in Vacuo to avoid being robbed and loaded onto the train. "Looks like we got a few stragglers, I'll deal with them!" he called out and dived after the Grimm.

The flying insect/droid hybrid creatures were heading directly towards the engine, ready to destroy it. Just before they could fire, Trigger managed to get behind them and unleashed a barrage of cannon fire, shredding the creatures into mincemeat before he quickly pulled up to avoid slamming into the locomotive as the train entered the tunnel. "I've never seen a Grimm like those before, they looked to be part machine and organic. The only insect Grimm recorder are the Lancers and Rapier Wasps. These things look to be alien." He stated.

"That's because they are based on an extinct alien species called the Manti." Ahsoka stated. During her studies before she became Anakin's padawan, she learned about an ancient insectoid alien species that came from another dimension and attacked the galaxy three thousand years ago. It was said that the Manti lived in another dimension, the dimension that one traveled through when in hyperspace. Hundreds of people across the galaxy were killed and eaten when the Manti attacked without warning.

At first, the Republic thought it was a Sith weapon, but after their first encounter with the Manti they learned it wasn't the Sith, but a new species all together. A species that nearly wiped out the known galaxy until they were finally wiped out. The Swarm War as it was called, lasted for fifty-years until the Republic was able to break into the Manti's home dimension and destroy the Manti for good. However, the war saw the destruction of many planets which were became infected when Manti Queen's laid their eggs at the very core of the planets. Millions of people were killed or eaten, turning many Manti into rabid mutant versions of the basic Lander or ground soldiers called Infectors.

A dark moment in the history of the galaxy if there ever was one, as Anakin called it. Still, the scars of that war were studied to better understand the Manti, in the event they ever returned. Thankfully, the Manti were gone for good, but the basis of their air and ground units were the basis for many fighters and walkers.

"Sounds like those things aren't something we want to encounter. Those Manti sound like real pains in the ass." Pixy commented as he and the rescue party headed back to base.

"They were, indeed, Lieutenant. Had the war ended differently, none of us would be here today. The Manti had no desire for peace, only conquest and were dangerous in space, the air and ground. Especially to those who were eaten by them." Plo added.

"They ate them? Ewe, that's gross. Now it's going to keep up at night." Neo said with disgust. "At least they are gone." She said with relief.

"Not to break up the history lesson, but Master Jedi, you're going to want to take a look at what we found. I think it might be something you are familiar with." Bishop interrupted as the formation of fighters landed at airbase of the Galm team.

Several days later, in the Rogue Shadows meditation chamber/training room, Galen was instructing Ruby in using a lightsaber properly. Though her crash course in using such a weapon when she was captured by the Empire showed that could handle such a weapon and her test on Dantooine proved that she was strong in the force, the young silver eyed girl had a long way to go before she could call herself a Jedi or a Jedi Huntress as she called it.

"Remember, keep a firm grip on your weapon so you don't go and lose it in battle." Galen instructed as Ruby drew her new weapon and ignited its blue blade. Holographic versions of imperial stormtroopers soon appeared and started to open fire at her, before she was even ready. "The enemy won't give you any chance to prepare yourself. You have to be ready at a moment's notice."

"Now you tell me!" Ruby groaned before she began to deflect the blaster fire back at her opponents. A few shots did manage to hit her, but they were only stun shots, so they weren't life threating. Standing her ground, Ruby continued to deflect blaster fire back at her opponents, getting better and better as she continued, but still had a long way to go. "This isn't so tough." She said with confidence, using her semblance to get in close to the troopers and cut them down.

"Don't rely too much on the lightsaber." Galen instructed the young girl, who looked back at him before taking a stun bolt to the leg. "You have another weapon, the Force." He added.

Ruby understood what Galen meant and reached out with the force. Extending her hand outwards, she pushed back several 'troopers' back with the force, knocking them down before pulling one of the 'troopers' towards her and slashed apart their weapon.

"Impressive work." Galen said, getting Ruby to smile. "You're good when it comes to dealing with enemies armed with blasters, but against those with a weapon like a Force Pike or lightsaber, you still have plenty of work to do in that area." He admitted.

"I thought I did pretty well when I sparred against you." Ruby stated, referring to her first sparring match with Galen after she recovered from the poison.

"If by 'pretty well' you mean 'you landed on your ass hard multiple times'." Galen reminded, getting a grumble from Ruby. "Look, Ruby. I only want you to be safe. Your father threatened me when you captured by the Empire and when you fought against that inquisitor, I almost thought you were going to die. Grimm are one thing, but against the Empire and droids, you can't afford to become overconfident. I made a promise to your mother that I would keep you safe." He added, putting a hand on Ruby's shoulder.

"I still can't believe that you had me bring you to my mom's grave so you could make that promise. It's almost like you know her." Ruby said with a raised eyebrow.

"I just felt like it was something I had to do." Galen replied. "I never really knew my parents. My mother died when she protected the Wookie's from Trandoshan slavers and my father was killed by Vader, right in front of my eyes. I've never known what it's like to have parents, so I envy you." He admitted.

"You don't strike me as the jealous type." Ruby pointed out.

Galen chuckled. "No, I'm not jealous. In fact, quite the opposite. I don't want to think about what would have happened if your parents were killed and you ended in the same position that I was in." he replied, tossing Ruby a bottle of water. Ruby caught the bottle and drank some of its contents before Galen continued. "All my life, I was raised by Vader, who trained me in daily in the ways of the dark side which bordered on the lines of torture and were downright brutal. I barely remember my parents and I probably killed some of their fellow Jedi. That's not a life I want someone like you to experience, the Dark Side brings nothing but pain, suffering, fear and anger. Never let yourself become blinded by power."

"Trust me, the last thing I care about is power. I want to protect as many people as I can, just like my parents. If I can learn all I can about the force and use it with my training to be a huntress, then I can do a lot more for the people." Ruby assured.

Just then, Proxy walked into the training room. "Pardon me, Master, but it's close to twelve hundred hours and you have flight training with your Rapier Wasp MK2." The droid told the young Jedi. "Oh, and Miss Rose, Miss Adel wanted me to tell you that she'd like to meet with you at this address in Vale, alone." He added.

"Guess that's all for training today." Ruby said, clipping the lightsaber to her belt and finishing her water bottle and turned to Galen "I'll see you when you get back from the base. Good luck on your flight training, who knows you might even earn a title only the best pilots can earn." She added happily, getting Galen to smile.

"I just want to learn to fly a fighter. Plane or Starfighter, I don't care so long as I can protect the planet." Galen said before leaving his ship and headed over to where his personal Shark was kept, turned the key and headed for the base.

It took him about half an hour to reach the base, but when he arrived, he sensed something off about the Galm and Garuda teams but didn't pry into the matter while he changed out of his usual attire and into the flight attire similarly worn by rebel pilots such as the newcomer, Wedge Antilles who like many of the pilots in the rebellion had a vendetta against the Empire.

His flight suit was blue with had the same flight helmet and visor which had his families crest painted in red on the top. A flak vest with a life support box could be strapped on if he ever flew his craft into space, but for the moment he opted not to put them on. "Kid looks the part, now all he needs is the plane." Rick said as he and Neo walked towards him, both dressed in Remnant flight suits, Ricks being red and white like his plane and Neo's being pink, white and brown. "Come on, let's get in the air."

A couple of minutes later, Rick and Neo taxied off the runway while Galen taxied his F-20 onto the runway. His plane was white and blue striped and like his helmet, featured his families crest on the tail end of the plane. "This is Galen Marek, callsign Starkiller to control tower. Requesting permission to take off." Galen said into his plane's radio.

"Starkiller, this the control tower. You're cleared to launch. Pass your tests with flying colors and we can celebrate." A female voice said on the other side of the radio who he assumed was the air traffic control officer.

"Copy that. I'm taking off now." Galen responded, pushing gently on his planes controls until he reached take-off speed and ascended to a high enough altitude before retracting his landing gear. "I'm in the air. Trigger, Countess, I'll follow your lead." He called out to the two pilots before joining up with them and headed for the designated train area.

Meanwhile, Ruby met up with Coco in the city by one of the many clothing stores that Coco frequented, this one being one of the fancier ones and Ruby's face was practically as red as her hood. "No way no how am I going to be wearing heels. I can't even walk in those!" she protested.

"Oh, come on, Ruby. It's no big secret that you have a crush on Galen. Everybody in Beacon knows it, especially considering that you asked him to the dance." Coco teased, getting the young girl to blush redder than before, muttering that she had a pretty good idea of who told Coco about her crush on Galen.

"I don't have a crush on Galen! He's a friend and mentor to me. Plus, he's like the older brother I never had." Ruby stated, flatly trying to cover her blush with her hood, only to have Coco pull it back. "Ok, maybe I do like him, but not 'like' like." She semi-admitted.

"I thought so." Coco observed. "Hey, you know that new restaurant that opened up while you and the others were gone. Well, it seems the owner is one of the people you saved when the Grimm broke through the defenses of the city and he told me that he wanted to repay you so…" she began, reaching into her handbag and pulled out two reservations which she handed to Ruby. "They wanted me to give you this as a token of appreciation and since its one of those high-class Atlas like restaurant's, you're going to need a new dress and that's where I come in." she added.

"Why do I have a feeling Yang put you up to this?" Ruby groaned before the second-year team leader pulled her into the store, despite her protests. She didn't know that Yang, Weiss, Blake and Velvet were watching from nearby.

"You are so evil, Yang." Blake stated bluntly.

"Hey come on! We all heard Ruby taking in her sleep about how much she liked Galen, so why not have both of them admit their feelings in a restaurant." Yang said in defense. "Besides, I've got this weird feeling that there's something else about Galen taking an interest in my younger sister." She added.

"At least we didn't bring the boys with us. They would have probably done something stupid, in March's case." Weiss bluntly said, blushing a bit at the thought of her and Arthur going on a date with her in a new dress. "Speaking of which, where is Rose?" she asked.

"Heard she was off with Domino Squad, Jesse, Kix, Hardcase and Rex. Said something about tracking down a lead in Mountain Glenn." Velvet answered.

"Well, whatever it is, I wonder what she'll think about all of this." Yang asked herself.

While the four girls were discussing Ruby and Galen's possible interest in one another, in the skies on the outskirts of the Round Table, Galen took his aircraft into a dive, locking one of his missiles on one of the training bullheads used in mock dogfights. The missile tone crackled in his headset before Galen pulled the trigger, firing a missile at the bullhead which upon contact exploded into a fireball.

Another training bullhead came in from behind him, firing its machine gun at Galen. The Bullheads gun was loaded with paint rounds, but Galen who was treating this as an actual dogfight, banked left to avoid the gunfire, got on the bullheads six and fired his planes own guns. A three second burst of 20mm bullets turned the bullhead into scrap-metal. "Nice work, Galen. You downed those things in no time at all. I got to say, I'm impressed." Rick said over the radio.

"I learned a lot from you guys before this. Being trained by someone who was trained by the Galm team is quite an…" Galen began before he sensed something. "Trigger! Countess! Check your radar!" he shouted.

"Why, what's up?" Neo asked.

"Just do it!" Galen shouted.

Both pilots did so, but found that there wasn't anything on radar, but Galen knew that something wasn't right and turned his plane towards the Round Table, much to the surprise of the Garuda pilots who followed after him especially after he entered the Round Table, getting some distance from the two pilots who managed to catch up with Galen in seven minutes. "You mind telling us what's going on?" Rick demanded.

"We've got fighters coming our way!" Galen answered.

"Are you sure? My radar isn't picking up anything." Neo questioned. Before anyone could respond, R5 and KT confirmed Galen's suspicions, a large formation of droid fighters was heading towards the Vale border of the Round Table on a direct path towards several military bases. The formation included Vulture, Tri and Scarab droid starfighters, followed by Trade Federation and Hyena bombers. "Never mind."

"If you two have something you want to tell me, now would be a very good time. But right now, we got a job to do!" Galen said to the two pilots and hit the button, dropping his planes fuel tank. "Rick, get on the radio and contact the base. Get the Galm Team here right now, we're going to need all the help we can get!" he suggested.

"You read my mine." Rick agreed and tuned his radio to the bases radio frequency. "Garuda 1 to base, we've encountered a large droid attack force in the round table heading towards multiple military bases. Requesting reinforcements." He urgently said, but there was no replay. "Garuda 1 to base, does anyone copy! We have a large-scale droid force heading towards several military bases! Requesting reinforcements! Galm Team, Wolf-Pack, Blue Squadron, does anyone copy!" he shouted but again there was no reply. "Damn it! I'm not getting through to base!"

"Galm 1 to Garuda 1, could you possibly yell any louder? We heard you the first time! Galm Team is in route, we'll be there in five minutes. Just hold out as long as you can." Cipher said over the radio.

"Starkiller to Cipher, thanks for the backup, Aaron. Just make sure you get here as quick as you can!" Galen said, checking his remaining ammo for his cannons and how many missiles he had left. Five missiles and one thousand, one hundred and fifty-five bullets along with the laser cannon feature. "Garuda Team, I'll follow your lead."

"Prioritize the bombers and don't let the fighters distract you." Neo reminded as the three planes formed up around Trigger and dived into the fireworks.

(Glacial Skies starts)

Picking out a formation of enemy bombers, Trigger switched from his bullets to lasers and pulled the trigger, sending a five second burst of red lasers towards the lead TF bomber whose shields flickered before it started to trail smoke and crashed into the ground below. Pushing his engines to maximum power, Trigger flew past the remaining bombers before he pulled his plane up into a steep climb. His aircrafts frame strained from the climb before he reduced his speed, pulling a sharp 180 degree turn and dived down on the other bombers. Two missiles flew from his hardpoints, slamming into two of the bombers before another was downed by a barrage of laser fire. "Splash four bombers!" he confirmed.

Neo picked out a single bomber and turned her aircraft sharply to get on its six o'clock. Her headset crackled as she acquired a missile lock and was about to pull the trigger when KT beeped loudly as three Tri-fighters streaked in from the left, their cannons powered up and ready to blast her out of the sky. A smirk appeared on Neo's face as she fired a missile at the bomber she had targeted, blowing it out of the sky before the three Tri-fighters fired at her.

Her plane took several hits and shattered into multiple pieces, much to the surprise of Galen who watched as Neo raked the three droid fighters with her twin 20mm cannons, turning the fighters into scrap-metal. "Since when could you use your semblance to create an illusion like that?" Galen asked.

"Oh, just after we got back from helping your rebellion." Neo replied playfully before she turned towards another pair of bombers and fired a missile at one of the bombers before downing another with her laser cannons. "Jeez, these bombers aren't even making an effort to outrun us. It's like they are begging to be shot down. This is getting to be boring." She complained.

"Take it up with committee! We need to hold out until back up arrives!" Galen shouted, firing his second missile at a Hyena bomber, only to have his missile intercepted by a Vulture droid that took the hit instead of the bomber! "Damn clankers! I'm beginning to see why Rex and his brothers hate these things!" he snarled, before he pulled the trigger and destroy the bomber with a burst of gunfire. "Bomber down!" he announced before he got on the tail of a pair of Scarabs, switched to lasers and opened up. Red hot lasers slammed into the fighters, draining their shields before one exploded in mid-air and the other spiraled to the ground, crashing into the ground where it exploded.

The enemy craft continued to engage the three fighters, keeping them busy long enough for a formation of Hyena's to break through on a direct course to the city only to be riddled with laser fire from the arriving Galm Team and Mobius 1. "Sorry we're late, but we got another transmission from the same voice that told us the Grimm attack a while ago was a glitch in the kingdom's defenses. Base command ordered us back, but we just said to hell with it and came to your rescue." Pixy explained.

"No complaints here, but even with six planes we don't want to get overconfident and get our asses shot down!" Rick answered, watching as Dante launched a salvo of XMAA's which turned four Hyena's into fireballs. "Tell me you guys picked up something on your radar? Or at the very least did your copilots pick up something?" he asked.

"R3, R8 and R12 haven't picked up anything on scopes. I don't want to alarm anyone, but I think that…" Dante began before he noticed as the enemy fighters suddenly broke off their attack and turned back towards the Round Table. "Did these things just retreat? Why are they retreating? They outnumber us!" he questioned.

"Then let's find out!" Neo suggested and headed after the retreating fighters with the others following her.

(End song)

"Wait! We should head back to base and report this! I think we might be walking into a trap!" Galen called out as he got on the tail of another fighter and fired his third missile at the craft, turning it into a fireball. Another missile left his planes hardpoint and slammed into a retreating bomber, exploding in mid-air and sending several bits of wreckage into several other retreating craft, bring his total up too seven destroyed enemy fighters.

"Starkiller's right, we need to pull back!" Cipher advised. "They'll take us right to their base and we'll be in range of their anti-aircraft weaponry!" he added.

"Wait, base? The droids have a base in the Round Table?" Galen questioned.

"Yeah! And a hell of a lot of firepower. Tanks, infantry, walkers, fighters, close-air-support craft and various other ships, including one big-ass looking ship with a lot of guns! Its classified, but to hell with orders, we need to retreat!" he admitted.

"Well, let's get out of…" Galen began before the enemy base came into view and he saw it. The massive warship that nearly gave the droid army supremacy in space. "It's the Malevolence! All craft, break off and head back to base! Ironwood has no idea what he's up against!" he shouted, slamming on his aircrafts brakes and breaking hard right, turning around. The other aircraft followed suit, but this gave multiple enemy fighters the chance to do the chasing. "We got bogies on our tail!" he called out.

"Garuda Team, Starkiller. Listen up, we'll…" Larry began before he watched as Galen slowed his aircraft down just enough to have several enemy fighters overshoot him before he opened up with his plane's cannons. One fighter, a Vulture spiraled out of control and slammed into another Vulture. A Tri-Fighter prepared to launch a discord missile at the retreating planes, but Galen turned sharply to the left and opened up with his cannons, destroying the enemy fighter. The remaining droid fighters soon quickly backed off and headed back to their base while the six planes headed back to their own base, but not without scratches.

Galen's plane took some damage, and it would need repairs, but Galen needed to speak with Ironwood as soon as he landed and somehow, he had a feeling that Ironwood was having a hard time believing the claims about the danger of the Malevolence from their experience in the war.

Galen was proven right about the Atlas General having a difficult time in believing what Plo and Commander Wolfe were telling him. The moment he landed at the base; he made his way to the command room where he found both 104th battalion members were having no luck in convincing Ironwood that the general's plan of attack would result in massive casualties. "I understand your concern, Master Jedi. But my military is the best in Remnant, if this Malevolence is as dangerous as you say it is, then a swift and precise attack on the enemy base is needed in order to eliminate the threat before it can leave." Ironwood assured for what Galen assumed to be the fifth or seventh time.

"You do not know what you are up against, General. The Malevolence is a heavy cruiser designed with the goal of completely annihilating anyone that tries to attack it. It has far greater firepower and shielding than anything your Kingdom, but its most devastating weapon is its Ion Cannon. Once the weapon fires, the Ion field expands and everything caught in its path is disabled, regardless to how advanced it is." Plo said, speaking from past experiences.

"Then attacking the base while the ship is still on the ground is our best course of action. I can send up a squadron of Sabre-Fs equipped with air-to-ground missiles and bombs to destroy it before it takes off. Without their command ship, the droids won't launch their attack." Ironwood explained, inputting a set of commands on the bases holographic table, showing the enemy base and several dots which stood in for the Sabre's.

"So, you just plan to throw the lives of your men away in a single blow!?" Galen demanded, making his presence known to all those present. "Those droids have more than just the single ship, they have dozens of other separatist navy ships, fighters, bombers, infantry and armor. Not to mention that there is a massive anti-aircraft screen that will shot down your fighter-bombers the second they get in range!" he shouted.

"Mr. Marek, this is a military concern and not one that warrants the concern of a huntsmen in training, even if they are a Jedi." Ironwood insisted. "My men are…." He began before one of his soldiers entered the command center and informed the General that the enemy forces were on the move along with the new Grimm that were being called Mutants. "It appears that sending my men to attack the base is now out of the question. Droid ground and air forces are on the move and if this report is right, we have less then forty-eight hours before they breach our defenses." He explained.

"Then mobilize your forces and we will do the same with our forces. Those droids must not make it through the Round Table. We may also need the assistance of Teams RWBY, CFVY, JNPR and GARM, since they have faced the droids before and its best that another pair of teams know about our existence." Plo suggested.

"That will only cause…" Ironwood began before Rick arrived.

"Master Plo is right, we can't launch a full-frontal assault against the droids and those Grimm, but if we can eliminate as much of the enemy forces as possible before that massive ship arrives, we can eliminate a substantial threat to the kingdom. Plus, we are down a couple of pilots, so it would be a good plan to reach out to Fulcrum and ask for her assistance." He added.

Ironwood protested, saying that they still couldn't trust Fulcrum who he only just started to believe that they and the Gelb Team were actually working for the White Fang, but without evidence to confirm his suspicions, he couldn't issue a warrant for her arrest. "Get in contact with Fulcrum and the Gelb Team. Ask them if they are willing to provide us support. I'll speak to Ozpin about lending us some of his students to assist us against the droids." he ordered Rick before he turned to Plo. "Mobilize your forces at the Vale border of the Round Table and the tunnels, we need to fortify those positions so that nothing gets past us. I want recon flights keeping safe distance from the enemy force, so we don't force the droids to quicken their pace."

"Copy that." Rick said with a salute while Plo nodded and spoke into his commlink, informing Aayla and the others of the situation. "Hey, Galen. Your plane's pretty beat up, so it might not be ready in time. Looks like you're going to be fighting on the ground until it's fixed up. But, for your first taste of combat nice work." He said to the young Jedi.

Galen smiled and once he finished changing out of his flight suit, he took his Shark and headed back to the city and Beacon. When he arrived, Galen, his team, Teams RWBY, CFVY and JNPR were brought into one of the empty classrooms where Ozpin explained the situation developing in the Round Table. Needless to say, Nora found it to be crazy and Coco didn't know if it was true. That is until Galen told them about his past, what he did and what he was made to do before he arrived on Remnant. It also helped further his claims when Ahsoka walked into the classroom, revealing to them that she was an alien and R7 showed them the various types of droids the two encountered during the Clone War, along with the new Grimm they encountered.

"You sure you guys aren't pulling our legs? This is seeming like one of Cardin's pranks." Nora suggested.

"Nora, those looked real to me. This would explain all those 'droids' that attacked Vale after the Torchwick crashed that train through the subway barrier. Not to mention it would explain all the stories about the Jedi we were told about as kids, even if we didn't know that they were called Jedi." Ren clarified.

"I still can't believe that there is life outside of Remnant." Velvet said in awe.

"Look, you can believe me or not, but right now. A powerful weapon that someone managed to come back from the Clone Wars is on its way towards the Kingdom with who knows how many enemy forces and if they get past the Round Table, the kingdom will be destroyed." Galen reminded the teams before he turned to Coco and Jaune. "Jaune, Coco. I know I kept a big secret from the two of you and I'll understand if you don't trust me, but right now I'm asking you, please help us stop this attack." Galen begged.

"Well, I guess this explains how you were able to get Cardin and his team to leave Velvet alone. Count me in, same goes for the rest of my team. We're second years and we can't let a couple of first year teams show us up. Plus, I do ow you and your team for pulling our asses out of the fire in time for the dance." Coco stated, her teammates agreeing with her.

"My team and I will help too. I mean, I'm still not one to believe what you said until I've seen it for myself, but I trust you, Galen. Guess it's time I return the favor for when you helped me with my studies." Jaune admitted. Pyrrha, Nora and Ren agreed and once everything was arranged, the two teams were sent to the Round Table, where Cody, Waxer and Boil instructed the two teams on the usage of blasters, since they were going to facing a lot of droids.

Meanwhile, Rick had managed to make contact with Fulcrum who agreed to hear him out on the condition that he meet with them and the Gelb Team, along with one Jedi in a remote location away from the kingdom. Rick agreed and several hours later, he and Ahsoka were waiting in the forest of Forever Fall by a train bridge with Neo, along with a briefcase that Rick was carrying. "You sure this is a good idea? Fulcrum instructed you to bring only a Jedi with you, so wouldn't my being here be violating the terms of your deal?" Neo asked.

"I already lost you once, Neo, I'm not going to lose you again. Besides, we're a team now so we stick together no matter what." Rick assured his adoptive sister. "Besides, between the three of us, we got four lightsabers so if we run into the Grimm, we can manage them along with my guns." He added before they spotted Fulcrum and two others who they assumed to be the Gelb Team walking towards them. "Right on time." he said with a smile.

"Your weapons, put them on the ground, slowly." Fulcrum demanded. Neo was about to protest, but Rick looked at her and did as he was told. Their weapons were placed on the ground followed by the weapons of Fulcrum and the Gelb pilots. "Now, what is it you wish to ask of me?" Fulcrum demanded.

"A large-scale attack force of battle droids is heading towards Vale. Among the droid is a powerful battleship with very menacing weapon and a new type of Grimm that is part machine. Warwolf Squadron lost two of its pilots and several of our aircraft have been sabotaged by who we are assuming were supporters of Adam Taurus." Rick began, walking slowly forwards towards Fulcrum. "I'm requesting… no I am asking if Fulcrum and the Gelb Team will assist us in air-to-air combat against the enemy assault." He begged, slowly placing the briefcase on the ground and opened it, revealing multiple Lien cards. "This is three-million Lien, all of which I saved up for years since I first started getting an allowance." He explained.

"We are not mercenaries or bounty hunters." Orbert said as if he was insulted.

"You misunderstand, this is for the people of Menagerie. I've been told by an acquaintance that the people have not been able to purchase supplies from the kingdoms. This money is a gift to the people of the island so that they can continue to survive until the day when both our people, Human and Faunus can get past our simple-minded views of each other and live together in peace." Rick explained.

"He speaks the truth. He has a friend in Menagerie who he's been keeping in contact with for years. He's not trying to insult the Faunus; he's trying to help them!" Neo exclaimed before smacking herself in the head for speaking out loud and revealing her presence.

"It seems that you brought another person with you." Fulcrum said with surprise before she looked at the briefcase of money. "How did you acquire this amount of money?" she asked.

"I did a lot of odd jobs before I became a pilot and the pay for a pilot isn't too bad. It's not stolen, if that is what you are asking." Rick answered.

"All of this was your money?" Fulcrum questioned curiously. "Well then, it appears that the chieftain will be pleased with this donation. Very well, I promise you, my support." She answered. "After all, it's not often that I get to fly with someone who is like a brother to me." She added and left with the Gelb Team.

Ahsoka was puzzled by what Fulcrum meant. "What did she mean by brother?" she asked.

"That's a story for another day. But all you need to know is that Fulcrum is someone I know personally and helped when they needed help the most." Rick answered before walking away and climbed into the cockpit of a large, heavy-duty, delta-shaped fighter-like airship with two seats in front, a large engine bed in the back and a dual-barreled turret protected by a windshield, which Ahsoka climbed into while Neo climbed into the other seat by the pilot's side. "Can't believe I actually found someone who could actually build this thing I came up with. Small world." He said with a chuckle before he powered up the new craft and headed back to the base.

Fulcrum watched as the three individuals left the forest in the new craft before turning around to the Gelb pilots. "We have a job to do. Make sure your aircraft are fully armed and fueled, Vale will need all the help they can get." She instructed. The pilots nodded and were quick to get on their motorcycles, leaving Fulcrum alone. "As for you, continue with your mission. I want to know what Adam is up too. I promised you that you'd get the justice you desire for your parents, and I will keep that promise, but even you know that war isn't the answer, much like the Jedi who saved you those years ago told you." She said to the one person she didn't want anyone to know was keeping watch. Said person nodded before dashing towards the forest. "What are you planning, Adam? Is this part of your plan?" she asked herself.

A few days later, at the airbase closest to the Round Table, multiple A-10 Rattler and S34 Sabre-Fs were being fueled and loaded for combat. A single-seat, twin-turbofan engine, straight wing aircraft, the A-10 is the primary close-air support and attack aircraft of the Vale Air Force. Its airframe was constructed with titanium allowing it to survive armor-piercing and high-explosive projectiles from up too twenty-three meters away. In the event that its damaged in battle, the A-10 could return to base with one engine, half a tail or half a missing wing.

As a close-air support aircraft, the Rattler was not designed to dogfight and was built to attack enemy ground forces, such as tanks and other vehicles. As such, the aircraft carried a total of eleven hard points for rocket pods, air-to-ground missiles and bombs. However, the plane carried only two air-to-air missiles if it came into contact with another close-air-support craft or a bullhead. The key feature of the Rattler was its heavy hitting seven-barreled 30mm gatling gun which carried a total of two-thousand rounds.

Due to its effective combat range being almost five-hundred kilometers and its top speed being seven-hundred kilometers per hour, the Rattler was normally stationed at air-bases close to the frontlines for resupply.

The S34 on the other hand was a medium ranged, twin-engine, double seater fighter bomber developed by Atlas with an armored cockpit with side-by-side seating for the crew. Compared to the Rattler, the Sabre-F's top speed was Mach 1.8 and had a greater combat range of one-thousand kilometers, making it superior to the Rattler in terms of range and speed.

In terms of firepower, the S34 had two 30mm cannons with a total of eight-hundred rounds per gun giving the pilots a total of sixteen hundred rounds to use for either ground attacks or close-range dogfighting. Twelve hardpoints on the plane's wings and fuselage gave the plane the option of rocket pods, air-to-ground missiles and bombs alongside four air-to-air missiles. Both the Rattler and Sabre-F were equal in terms of firepower when it came to their cannons, but when it came to dogfighting the capabilities, the Sabre-F had the advantage with speed.

In charge of the close-air-support was Captain Justin Suzuki, callsign Stingray-1 of the Vale 3rd Air-Division, 5th Fighter Squadron, better known as Stingray Squadron. A man of thirty-years old and one of the many Vale pilots that saw the potential of Faunus pilots, Suzuki was more than willing to fight for his kingdom especially alongside those like the Galm Team and Jedi, the latter of who he heard many stories about when he was a boy. His wingmen, Whipray, Sawfish and Bolter along with the Avalanche and Windhover squadrons finished the checks on their own Rattlers while clone forces finished the final checks on their own aircraft. While the clones and Sabre-Fs were to attack enemy ground forces further away from the border, these three squadrons were assigned to provide close-air-support for the ground forces.

As the pilots continued to check their planes, both Cipher and Pixy checked the recon data sent to them by ARF-Clone troopers, Razor, Stak, Boomer and other ARF-Clones confirmed that the enemy was moving rapidly towards them but the Malevolence II as it was being called was nowhere to be seen, but multiple Lupus-Class missile frigates, Munificent-class frigates, one supply ship, three Providence-class destroyers and a single supply ship were heading their way with multiple tanks, walkers, troop transports and artillery.

However, there was some good news. The incoming hostile forces would pass through several canyons and gorges, wide enough to hide a great amount of TX-130s and buggies for use in hit and run attacks by the 332nd troopers. The downside was that they couldn't risk any of the AT-TE's or AT-PT's. However, Sedyn assured the ground forces that his men would take out as many of the enemy armor as they could with their attacks.

The biggest problem was another new type of Grimm, a type that wiped out almost all of the ARF recon unit and barred another resemblance to the Manti ground unit called the Widow. A four-legged spider like creature that looked a lot like the Acklay, but where able to spit mortar-like venom and were heavily armored, but at the cost of speed. The ones reported by the recon unit were one-hundred percent pure Grimm but had two missile launchers attached to the armor along with a set of anti-personal blasters.

"Something tells me these new Grimm are going to be a real pain in the ass for those of us in the air and on the ground." Pixy observed, his eyes fixated on the image of the newly dubbed Widows. "Tanks can handle them pretty ease, but fighters are another story. I think it might take a fighter two or four shots to down a fighter if it gets in range."

"Lucky for us, we're handling the fighters. But that doesn't mean we should get overconfident. Our Daggers are designed for air-to-air, not like the Strike Daggers or Broadswords. Not to mention that we're dealing with a lot more hostiles than we're used to." Cipher reminded his wingman. "Still, with us, the Garuda Team, Mobius 1 and Warwolf Squadron, we should be able to hold out until the enemy ship comes into range. From there, we take out the weapon and bridge and the droids should stop their advance." He added.

"Let us hope it's that simple." Trigger said as the airship-fighter he designed landed right by his S35, which was damaged by a Buzz-Droid that somehow managed to cling on his aircrafts lower body and cut into the hydraulic system, knocking it out of the fight. "My Scimitar is the only aircraft I have available and while the Hellcat is good, I haven't tested it in combat yet. Not to mention that Galen's Rapier Wasp MK2 is still being repaired. His piloting is the key in taking that ship down, so until it's fixed up, he's on the ground." He stated.

Speaking of Galen, the leader of Team GARM peered through his binoculars from the first of many trenches that were dug out years ago from previous battles. Clones had set up EWHB-12 heavy repeating blasters turrets in several pillboxes and laid hundreds of mines along the railroad and highway, while AV-7 anti-vehicle cannons and SPHA walkers, along with their smaller counterpart the RX-200 and Stompers were placed in key positions for dealing with enemy aircraft and armor. Gunships were at the ready along with the fighters and bombers at the airbase.

Until his fighter was repaired, Galen would be fighting on the front lines with the rest of his fellow students who were armed with EMP launchers, pistols, blaster rifles, Rotary cannons and other weapons used by the clones along with their own weapons, but he was a bit concerned about Nora who decided she would use her Warhammer which she loaded with lighting Dust ammo.

"The droids haven't shown up yet. Neither have the Grimm." He observed, lowering his binoculars before he turned to Fives. "Fives, I need you to make sure all the trenches are at the ready. The droids could arrive at any moment, last thing we need is too be caught unprepared when they do arrive." He instructed the trooper.

"Got it!" Fives responded and ran back towards the other trenches, passing Ruby who was once again dressed in the clothing she wore when she and her team were helping the rebellion. Cradled in her arms, was Crescent Rose 2.0.

"You think we can beat back this many droids? I mean, you've fought through dozens of Stormtroopers at once, maybe hundreds when you were getting the cure for the poison, but with all those forces and the Grimm they have with them, it seems like a bit much." She pointed out.

"Rex and his brothers can't deal with the Grimm like we can, especially those ones based off the Manti. If you're nervous then just say it, Ruby. A lot of pilots and soldiers are nervous as well, but we need to stop them. If those forces get by us and the Round Table, Vale… no all of Remnant won't stand a chance. We stop them here and keep them from getting anywhere near the kingdom." Galen assured. "My father told me that I am in control of my own destiny, and this is the path I'm taking. I won't let the people suffer." He added.

"Guess that's one of the reasons you decided to become a huntsman." Ruby said with a smile. Galen on the other hand was growing tired of lying to Ruby about why he was here and decided it was now the time to tell her the truth.

"Actually, Ruby. There's something I need to tell you. It's about your…" he began before he sensed something approaching. "GET DOWN!" he shouted and tackled Ruby to the ground as dozens of Hyena bombers arrived and dropped their payloads on allied positions, but surprisingly no one was killed. The bombers however were soon brought down by several F5's. "Looks like the wait is over, everyone get ready. Here they come!" Galen shouted as the droid army came into view.

(Trade Federation March starts)

The MTT transports stopped behind the AAT's as opened up, allowing their deployment racks to exit and deploy their battle droid cargo. Basic B1's and B2 Super Battle Droids quickly unfolded and began to march towards their foes as Beowolves, Ursa's, Creeps, Beringels, Boarbatusks and Death Stalkers charged past them as droid fighters and aerial based Grimm along with the newer Mutant Grimm swooped in and began to engage allied air forces and providing cover for the droid ships.

Enemy artillery kept their distance ten to twenty kilometers away along several Octuptarra magna-tri droid walkers provided artillery support with the assistance of several spotter droids. Widows moved slowly towards the battle ground. "All units, open fire!" Rex shouted over the commlink as the battle for the Round Table had begun.

(End song)

In one of the many canyons that the enemy forces had passed, Sedyn in one the drives seat of one of the many Dozers, waited as the first wave of enemy air units passed the locations he and his men were lying in wait before they sprung their ambush. "Ghost division, attack!" he ordered, putting his foot to the gas petal as his vehicle charged ahead.

(Ghost Division starts)

Catching the droids and Grimm completely by surprise, the men of the 332nd armored legion unleashed a barrage of blaster and machine gun fire at the enemy forces, jamming their communications with the advanced forces. The dozers slammed into the enemy vehicles destroying them as if they were barriers, a sight that warmed the hearts of all the clones who lost brothers to enemy armor.

A pull of the trigger and the heavy machine gun of Sedyn's dozer roared to life, sending hundreds of bullets into a GAT droid which exploded. "All Sharks, Demons, Hoppers, Seekers and Screamers, attack the enemy from behind! All Dozers and TX-130's, take point and lead the charge! Our target is the enemy artillery units at point zero-seven! Watch out for those Widows, remember to hit them from range!" he shouted into the commlink before he hit a button on his vehicles stick shift, activating his boosters and leading the charge.

Ace and Stagger in their own Dozers followed suit, plowing through tanks, infantry and Grimm like they were roadblocks. The sound of crushed droids underneath the heavy-duty tires was something that the clones loved hearing. The sound of dozens of twin-jet engines filled the air as Strike Daggers soared overhead, dropping their payloads on several armored units ahead of them before they pulled up and went in for another attack run.

Just seconds after they turned around, several Mutants arrived and downed four of the allied aircraft, forcing some of them to break off from their attack run and focus on the Grimm/Droid hybrids while the others continued their attack run. "Press the attack! Dozers, charge straight into the enemy! Everyone else, commence hit and run attacks on the enemy forces! Air-support is on its way!" he shouted. Just seconds later, the three S37's of the Gelb Team and Fulcrum arrived, each of them firing their cannons at multiple airborne hostiles, saving several pilots. "Forward brothers! For Mandalore!" he shouted.

"For Mandalore!" the clones shouted and pressed the attack. Machine gun, laser cannon and plasma grenade fire destroyed dozens of enemy units as the 332nd forces continued to press forwards until they came to a stop.

"We'll hold the line here and cut off the enemies retreat! Prepare for combat, ready your blasters men!" Sedyn shouted, keeping his finger on the trigger as weapons fire continued to tear apart both droid and Grimm and his foot on the gas pedal. Slamming his vehicle into one of the Widows, he fired off hundreds of rounds at the creature, killing it but his vehicle was destroyed. Just seconds before his vehicle exploded, he leapt out of his buggy and ignited his lightsabers as dozens of Grimm charged towards them. "Have at thee, monsters!"

(End song)

From the cockpit of her S37, Fulcrum smiled under her helmet as she and the Gelb Team pushed their aircraft engines to maximum before turning around sharply and again opened up with their cannons, riddling a formation of Mutants with bullets before several LAAT's from the nearby canyon emerged to provide close air-support for Sedyn and his men. "Fulcrum to Gelb 1 and Gelb 2, proceed to the Garuda Team's location, we're to attack on of the enemy airships. Switch to lasers and conserve your ammo for the moment, ready your missiles. It is time to see if these missiles can target up to four aircraft at once." She instructed.

Both Gelb Team pilots followed after their flight lead, despite Fulcrums uneasy feeling about leaving them without fighter cover, but she could tell that the Gunships would be able to do the job that they were leaving them to do.

While the three S37's continued towards the edge of the Round Table, a volley of artillery fire from multiple HAG-Ms rained down on the clones and students, killing several troopers and destroying two AT-TE's, even killing a few Grimm. Just as the dust cleared a horde of Grimm charged towards them every intention on killing the brave defenders, ignoring the landmines that were detonating all around the creatures of darkness and droids.

"Open fire!" Commander Bly shouted, raising his rifle and killing his first Grimm. The rest of the troopers followed suit as Aayla, Ahsoka, Zett and Serra ignited their lightsabers, ready for battle.

(Droid Battle starts)

The exchange of blaster fire quickly exchanged as the incoming horde drew nearer and nearer towards the defenders as Coco, Hevy, Hardcase and Jek opened up with their Z-6's unleashing a barrage of blaster fire that mowed down dozens of droids while Velvet, Rys and Jesse laid down covering fire for Kix and several other medics to rescue several wounded troopers and bring them to safety as Zett and Serra engaged the enemies' closet to their forces.

Zetts blue blade sliced through the black bodies of Grimm as the seventeen-year-old former Padawan sliced Ursa's and Beowolf's. Having been only ten years old when Order 66 was issued, Zett lived in the underworld for seven long years before he was captured by the Empire, who planned to use his body as a trap for any other surviving Jedi. "To think I survived seven years in the underbelly of the Republic capital, got myself captured by the Empire after someone saw my lightsaber and then spent ten years in stasis after that transport crashed on Remnant." He thought to himself, blasting several Grimm and droids back with a strong blast of Force energy. "It's time I put my training to good use."

Aayla and Serra stood side-by side as they covered the retreat of several clones as the next set of defenses fell to several Widows and enemy tanks. Troopers who were trying to retreat were gunned down without mercy by the droids while the Grimm slashed at the retreating forces, many of which were quickly avenged as Aayla's blue and green blades and Serre's duel green blades slashed through the enemy. "This reminds me of the Battle of Maridun. Only we didn't have to deal with Grimm and Separatist battleships." Aayla reminisced, throwing her blue blade towards several droids, cutting them into bits of scrap metal.

"Exactly which part of this reminds you of that particular battle, General? Fighting to protect the people or against a hundred to one odds?" Bly asked as he joined with his general.

"Both, Bly. But there are more clones and Jedi then there at that time." Aayla answered with a smirk.

Jaune raised his borrowed carbine and squeezed off a burst of blaster fire that downed quite a few droids and a creature of Grimm as Pyrrha, Ren and Nora fired their own weapons. Nora fired a full magazine of grenades before quickly shifting her weapon into its hammer and swung it at the Grimm and droids with her full might. "Come and get it boys!" she cackled, grabbing a thermal detonator and tossed it towards a couple of enemies who were killed when the grenade exploded. "Wow! That had a bigger blast than I thought it would." Nora quipped with a giggle.

"Careful, Nora! These things are dangerous!" Ren reminded the orange haired girl, firing his DH-17 blaster pistols, pistols that Ruby brought back from their trip off planet as souvenirs along with several power packs which could fire up too five-hundred shots. "Get back here!" Ren said, dashing between multiple Grimm and droids, killing them before leaping back before a droid could hit him.

"Incoming!" a nearby clone shouted before they took a blaster bolt to the head from a sniper several meters away from them. Horrified at the sight, Pyrrha fired several shots from her DC-15A, destroying the droid sniper just as numerous Rattlers dived in, ranging deadly 30mm rounds and rockets on multiple droid and Grimm positions, even taking out a few of the Widows that were slowly advancing towards them.

Another wave of Hyena and TF bombers arrived, this time with escorts that managed to shoot down several of the Rattlers before they could make for another pass, one of which spiraled out of control and crashed into an advancing TX-130 attempting a pincer maneuver on a Widow. "Fall back!" Pyrrha shouted, laying down covering fire with several other troopers as her teammates headed for the next trench.

March fired off his DLT-19 in short-controlled bursts at the incoming horde while Rose and Arthur carried a wounded Trooper to safety. "Eat laser, bastards!" he shouted firing a longer burst of blaster fire than before Team RWBY backed him up with blaster fire of their own.

"We got Spider Droids inbound! Hold the line!" Rex shouted, picking up a fallen rocket launcher and fired the last of its magazine at Widow and a Dwarf Spider, destroying both of them. Discarding the spent launcher, he pulled out his pistols and began to fire as more and more droids and Grimm arrived, with the many clanker ships that were reported with the attack group. "We need support!" he shouted into his commlink.

(End song)

Rex's request was answered as several Puma's sped towards several approaching Widows, firing their machine guns and heavy-duty cannons at the spider creatures as the Gelb Team and Fulcrum formed up with the Garuda and Galm Teams along with Warwolf Squadron.

The Widows and enemy tanks soon turned their attention towards the battle cars, firing everything they had at the cars destroying many of them while the others past by and quickly pulled a one-hundred-eighty-degree right turn and went in for another attack run as gunships and Rattlers came in for another attack run.

As unguided rockets exploded all around him, Galen slashed multiple droids apart before he caught several rockets from a Widow and sent them back towards the Grimm. When the attack came, Galen threw himself towards the enemy in hopes of eliminating as many of the new Grimm as he could, only to realize he was greatly outnumbered more than fifty-to-one. Nevertheless, Galen had a fire in his eyes once again as he gripped his lightsabers tightly and unleashed his full power, a power that was sensed by all other Jedi and Sith across the galaxy as a powerful telekinetic explosion disintegrated everything surrounding him.

One of the droid frigates exploded in a fireball above him as a Sedyn called over the commlink that he and his men had to fall back as the Malevolence II was approaching. Knowing that he needed to get into the air, Galen requested a pickup. As he continued to stand his ground, the vehicle that Trigger had constructed arrived with Fordo in the pilot's seat as Galen hoped into the seat beside Fordo who quickly flew the aircraft back to the base where his Rapier Wasp MK2 was waiting for him.

When he landed, he found the Galm, Garuda and Gelb along with Fulcrum and Warwolf Squadron being rearmed, the F22's being loaded with newer XMAA's, which could lock onto six-targets at once while the other planes were loaded with long-range and medium-range missiles while Galen's plane was loaded up with two short-range missiles and four long-range missiles. He didn't have time to change into his flight suit and quickly jumped into the cockpit and taxied onto the runway as calls for backup erupted over the radio.

The Galm Team was the first to take off, followed by the Garuda Team, then the Gelb Team, then Fulcrum followed by Warwolf Squadron and finally, Galen himself. "This is Starkiller, I'm airborne." He announced over the radio.

(Mission Fuga, starts)

Quickly climbing to five-thousand feet, Galen pushed his planes engine to full-power and quickly gave chase after three Hyena bombers diving towards the ground forces. Switching to lasers, he pulled the trigger and unleashed a volley of red lasers, destroying the bombers with a five-second burst before he pulled up and formed up with the Garuda Team who along with the Galm and Gelb Teams went after a Providence-class carrier that lost its shields.

His fingers pulled the trigger again, sending a much longer burst of cannon fire directly into the ships bridge. The bridge was engulfed in flames as a chain reaction spread throughout the ship before it was ripped in two from the following explosion. "Hot Damn! Starkiller is really on fire today!" Neo said in awe.

"You said it, sister." Rick added in agreement, launching a pair of long-range missiles that slammed into two Vultures going after the returning Sabre-F's. Both Vultures exploded into fireballs, just as Rick banked hard-left narrowly avoiding the lasers from a pair of Tri-fighters that were gunning for him. "I've got two on my tail, I could use some help!" he shouted.

Neo was quick to answer his request for help, downing the droids with her guns. As the droids crashed down into the ground below, a literal wall of bombers was coming in from the east, heading directly for the ground forces. "Galm 1 to all craft, form up and prepare to launch long-range and medium-range missiles! We'll down them before they get within striking distance!" Aaron shouted over the radio. Everyone but Galen quickly formed up and switched to their secondary missiles and waited until the bombers were in range. "Fox 3!" he shouted as medium and long-range missiles detached from their hardpoints and rocketed towards the incoming bombers.

The Hyena bombers weren't quick enough to avoid the missiles and all of them exploded in mid-air along with their payloads, but this left the pilots with only four short-range missiles each. Just as Fulcrum was about to radio the other pilots, another group of bombers arrived, this time close to ground level and also heading towards the ground forces.

Before anyone could act, Galen dived from six-thousand feet, got behind the bombers and launched his own long-range missiles. His four missiles slammed into the bombers, turning them into flaming bits of scrap-metal before he banked into a hard-right turn, getting on the bombers 3 o'clock and fired his cannons. The remaining five bombers soon joined the others that were shot down, as Galen turned around and headed for a straight for supply ship.

"He can't be human!" Orbert said in awe as Galen weaved through the enemy fire and once again cut lose with his laser cannons, destroying the ships bridge, sending a chain reaction throughout the ship as it exploded in a fireball.

"He's like a demon… I've never seen anything like it." Rainer agreed as once again, Galen unleashed a barrage of cannon fire, destroying five Mutants.

"That kind of pilot…. They call a Demon Lord. Like the legend of the Round Table." Rick added.

"The demon born of the Round Table. It used to apply only with warriors on the ground, now it applies to the those in the air." Pixy said impressively.

Galen heard their words and chuckled. "Demon Lord of the Round Table, huh? I like the sound of that." he said with a chuckle as the Malevolence came into view. "Starkiller to all pilots, target is in sight. Galm Team, Garuda Team, Gelb Team, Fulcrum and Warwolf squadron, provide cover for the bombers as they make their way towards the main weapon." He instructed his fellow pilots over the radio as Shadow Squadron, Wolf-Pack, Blue and Green Squadrons flew towards the massive warship.

As the four clone squadrons headed for the primary weapon, the Remnant pilots broke off into pairs of two, engaging the enemy fighters that were still going after the Y-Wings and ARC-170s. Pixy and Cipher dived from the left and right flanks, downing four Vultures each with their remaining missiles before they circled around and began to use their guns.

The Gelb team quickly avenged a pair of bombers that were blown out of the air by a pair of Mutants with a burst of gun fire before getting behind several Tri-Fighters and downed them as well with their guns.

Dante and Fulcrum strafed multiple enemy fighters with their guns, sending several of them spiraling down to the ground, their engines smoking. Both pilots glanced towards each other and nodded their heads before going in for another attack run.

Bishop and Guts launched their final missiles, as Scarab fighters managed to get on their tails and began to fire their cannons at them. Both pilots took a few hits before they both performed a high-g barrel roll, got on their opponents' tails and fired their cannons, riddling them with bullets before they had to head back for base due to the damage sustained to their planes.

As for the Garuda Team, both Trigger and Countess formed up wingtip to wingtip, fired their remaining missiles before they came around with their guns, downing several droid fighters as the bombers and their escorts fired their torpedoes at the ships massive Ion Cannon as Galen went directly for the bridge, firing his last two missiles.

(End song)

Massive explosions ripped through the warships superstructure as a chain reaction spread throughout the ship, sending bits of the mighty ship slamming into other ships before it finally exploded and crashed to the ground below. The remaining droid forces were quick to retreat, but the airborne droid/Grimm hybrids weren't finished fighting yet. "Starkiller to all pilots, return to base! I'll deal with these things." Galen said, pitching his aircraft over into a dive before he switched from lasers to bullets.

(The Round Table starts)

Firing his twin-nose mounted 20mm cannons at the new hostiles, Galen riddled one of them with bullets before he pulled up from his run, almost slamming into the ground at the last second as he soared over the trenches and friendly forces. "GO GALEN!" Ruby shouted as the hybrid creatures continued to give chase.

Whether he heard Ruby or not, Galen zig-zagged between enemy fire before he climbed into the vertical, got behind the four mutants that were chasing him and fired a six-second burst at the creatures which exploded into chucks of bone and droid components.

"That's now twelve droid fighters, ten of those new Grimm and three droid ships." Eagle Eye confirmed over the radio as Galen checked his six. Of the hundreds of Mutants that were a part of the battle, only thirty of them were still present, five of which he shot down leaving only twenty-five left. "Eagle Eye to all pilots, once you are refueled and rearmed, get back in the air and assist Starkiller. Eliminate the remaining hostiles."

"Eagle Eye, this is Starkiller. Don't send any backup. I can handle this myself." Galen told the AWACS plane, amidst the protests of the other pilots before he turned his radio off and headed towards a nearby canyon.

The canyon was narrower than many of the other canyons located throughout the Round Table, but Galen had a plan. As he dived into the canyon, half of the remaining Grimm flew directly over the canyon while the other half began to chase him through the canyon. With barely enough room to execute evasive maneuvers of any kind, Galen reached out with the force, ripping several lose rocks from the canyon wall which crushed many of the Grimm that were on his tail. "A pilot doesn't always need to rely on his weapons to survive." He said to himself, remembering one of the many lessons he was taught.

Of the thirteen Mutants that followed him through the canyon, seven of them were crushed by the rocks leaving only six behind him. A much narrower part of the canyon lay ahead as Galen carefully lowered his aircraft to about two-hundred and fifty feet off the ground as three more of the pursuing Grimm slammed into the canyon wall. Again, he maneuvered carefully through the canyon as the Grimm continued to pursue him.

"Time, I lose this tail!" Galen shouted and slammed on his breaks, allowing the mutant droids to overtake him before he treated them to a burst of cannon fire. All three of the pursuing Grimm/droids were killed as the end of the canyon came into view, along with the remaining twelve Grimm/droids. Pushing his planes engine to full power, he drew nearer and nearer to the incoming formation just as they began to open fire. Several enemy shots scorched his planes frame as Galen pulled the trigger, firing his own cannons at the creatures.

Hundreds of 20mm bullets shredded six of the airborne Grimm like they were made of tissue paper as he shot past the last six, which much to his surprise quickly turned around and gave chase once more. Unfazed, Galen used the force to pull several more lose rocks from the wall, crushing four of his pursuers as he shot out of the canyon before turning sharply turning one-hundred and eighty degrees and gunned down the last of the Grimm/droid hybrids. "Starkiller to all points, the last of the Grimm have been eliminated. My total kill-count is ten droids, thirty-five of those Mutants and three droid ships." He said into the radio after he turned it back on.

(End song)

It didn't take long for Galen to return to the airbase and when he landed, a chorus of cheers from pilots and troopers was waiting for him as the Demon Lord stepped out of his plane, tired but triumphant. Before he could say anything, Ruby dashed in with her semblance and gave Galen a big hug. "I knew you'd make it back alive!" she exclaimed.

"I told you, Ruby. I am in control of my own destiny and I'm not going anywhere for a long time." Galen said with a smile, ruffling her hair a bit.

But while the forces of Vale, Atlas and the Jedi celebrated their victory, Maul had returned to the sight of the destroyed base and let out a chuckle. "Let them have their victory," he began, pulling out a scroll given to him by Watts and opened it. "This is only the beginning of the end for the kingdom." he said before he left what was left of the base and headed back to Salem, his mission accomplished.

And finally done! I'm sorry I took so long with this chapter, but I really wanted to make it as interesting as I could with Galen earning the title of Demon Lord of the Round Table.

Other than that, I was quarantined for ten days cause my little brother tested positive for COVID and let me say, being in quarantine can really make a person feel kind of crazy. I tested negative, but I couldn't go to work.

Anyway, lets clarify a few things. The MG-29 and MG-31 are the MIG-29A Fulcrum and MIG-31B Foxhound, Russian aircraft. I had the Manti from the Defender games exist in this universe and now two of them are used as Grimm/droid hybrids with weapons, bet you all can guess who equipped them with weapons.

The new aircraft that Rick had built is basically the Hellcat fighter from Jak 3, one of my favorite series for the PlayStation 2. I was going to bring in the Rhommel Tank from Mech Assault 2: Lone Wolf, but I'll save that for later.

The droid attack on the Kingdom has been repelled but it looks like Maul and Salem have completed their objective. What is this objective of theirs? Well, that's a secret.

Galen has told Jaune, Coco and their teams about his origins and hold no ill will to him for keeping such a secret. Speaking of said leader of Team CFVY, seems that she took Ruby to get a new dress as part of Yang's plan to play matchmaker for Ruby and Galen. More on that will be revealed next chapter.

Anyway, before I sign off, I want to get the opinion of my readers, should I make all of the current and future volumes of RWBY one single story or make separate stories for Volumes one through three, four through six and such? Please tell me in a review or PM and I will see you all next time.
