John Potter and Harry Sheppard
Rodney McKay was looking at Lt. Colonel John Sheppard head military commander of Atlantis. It was remarkable how much John reminded him of Harry Potter. It was true that there was a significant age difference between the two, but the Colonel represented the older version of Harry, or the adult version as some would put it.
The similarities between the two ranged from the physical to the behavioural and particularly to their history.
They both had that prince charming quality, brooding from their astonishing green eyes. And that head of hair, Jet black and untameable (yes, can you believe it! Both have black hair that sticks up like they have been electrocuted strand by strand)! They both love to fly. Yes, there is a slight difference between a broom stick and a puddle jumper but that is beside the point. They were both outsiders in their world. They never belonged or had family until they left home. They are the saviours of their new world. Both have this undying loyalty to their friends, to the point they would risk their own lives to save the other. And both have a love hate relationship with authority.
McKay shook his head at the Lt. Colonel who was now flat on his back trying to get out of Teyla's vice like grip. Teyla screamed as John grabbed her by the hip and flipped her over. McKay laughed as Teyla wrenched the stave from John's hand and whacked him over the head. He does have the most adorable pout expression.
McKay sighed as he left his friends in the gym. He stole a glimpse of Teyla as John bent down to kiss her. And there's his Ginny, he thought as the door swished behind him.
