Disclaimer: I do not own Sly Cooper or any of its characters. Sly Cooper is owned by Sucker Punch, Sony, and Sanzaru Games.
I recently got into the Sly Cooper franchise and decided to write my own fanfiction of his life after escaping Ancient Egypt. Hope you enjoy it. Rate and review.
Author's note: Sorry it took so long. I had a lot to do with family affairs. Also, episode 7 will take more time. In the meantime, you can read episodes 4-6 in any order, as they take place on the same day. I got that from Penultimate Peril from A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket. This is a preview for the next three episodes. Enjoy.
After the whole incident with Nicky Greyhound the clown, the gang decided to take the kids to Whoopie World for some rest and relaxation, plus they celebrated Carmelita's birthday. It wasn't her first choice, but it was fun, plus the girls had the time of their lives. They made sure they got to talk with a pediatric psychologist a number of times, which combined with the amusement park was enough to get over some of the trauma from that crazed child killer. For most of the time though, they refused to leave their parents' side, except one night after Carmelita's birthday when they slept in Bentley and Murray's room.
Funny thing is, Murray got kicked out of the all-you-can-eat buffets at the resort. He had to drive to a restaurant outside the park in order to not starve to death.
After two weeks, they headed back home. The twins were in slightly better shape to go back to school. Carmelita arranged to have Ape Mercenaries on guard there while Murray shadows the twins. While she's following a lead, Sly and Bentley will be working a job.
"So girls," said Sly. Feeling any better after our vacation?"
"Kinda," said Sylvia.
"But we could use one more week before going back to school," said Carmen.
Sly and Carmelita chuckled. "Unfortunately, I don't have enough vacation days." Carmelita said.
"But why did you have us spend the night with uncle Bentley and uncle Murray after your birthday, Mommy?" Sylvia asked.
Sly and Carmelita looked flustered.
"It's just something grownups do," said Carmen. "Sometimes moms and dads need 'alone' time."
"She's right, Sylvia," said Sly. "Mommy and I needed our 'own' night of 'Whoopie'." He smirked at that last statement.
Carmelita punched Sly in the arm to that comment.]
"Anyway," said Bentley. "My sources indicate that Sir Raleigh has escaped, and he's worth 600,000."
"That much?" Sly asked in shock. "I'd think he's worth 3."
"Joke all you want, but if we catch him, we can stay out of the business for a while." Bentley stated. "At least until we figure out who's trying to capture the kids."
"Agreed," said Carmelita. "Plus, you'll be glad to know that they found a lead on the middle man."
"Oh?" Murray asked.
"They found traces of algae on that fiend," said Carmelita. "According to forensic experts, it's an algae that can only be found in the Florida Everglades."
"The middle man couldn't just find a place in Miami?" Sly asked, teasingly.
"It's not a bad place to hide," said Bentley. "But why would they only find it on that clown? Seems like sloppy work."
"That mangy mutt likes the sewers, and you're asking why he left algae on his clothes?" Carmelita replied.
"Fair point," said Bentley.
"You guys should also know that a year after Sly came back from Ancient Egypt, a particular alligator lady we know was released for good behavior, and is now living there." Carmelita said.
"Mz Ruby?" Sly asked in shock.
"That's right, Ringtail," said Carmelita. "Now, Interpol policy states that all suspects are innocent until proven guilty, but the mother of my kids says they can shove that policy up -"
"Carm!" Sly cut her off. "The kids."
"Wait," said Bentley. "I thought bringing back the dead carried a life sentence."
"Occasionally, they'll make exceptions with good behavior and overcrowding." Carmelita said.
"Moving on," said Bentley. "I think we all know the plan. Murray, you stay with the kids at school. The Ape Mercenaries should provide sufficient support just in case. Carmelita, you see what you can find in the Everglades. Sly and I will take care of Raleigh."
"If all goes well, we'll find the culprit and pay off the penthouse." Sly said.
"That'd be nice," said Carmelita.
"And maybe, I can get a hold of the nanotechnology I've been saving up for." Bentley said.
"And more doughnuts!" Murray shouted.
"Don't forget fruit," teased Sly, causing everyone but Murray to laugh.
"How about some pants, uncle Murray?" Said Carmen.
"Or a dress," teased Sylvia.
Everyone laughed at that last comment, except Murray again.
They each had their assignments, and knew what to do. Murray would guard the kids with some assistance, Carmelita would follow a lead to get to the bottom of who was after their kids and why. Sly and Bentley would capture Raleigh and be set for a while until the mastermind behind the attacks was brought to justice.
