Ok, so it seems that some people are questioning why I made Neo a Mandalorian. Well, I thought of this long before A Roman Holiday was published since no back story was established for Neo after she appeared in the series. I mean, she is or was a character shrouded in mystery and it got me thinking, 'what if she was half alien?' In fanfiction, not the actual series. Plus, I after remembering who she really is in my story, I think she is the best choice to wield the Dark Saber.
Now, it's time for one of my favorite parts of writing a Star Wars story, THE DOGFIGHTS AND SPACE BATTLES! I just love a good dogfight, don't you?
But first, onto the reviews.
Silverfox3456: I agree, Neo is way more worthy of wielding the Dark Saber than Gar or Maul. Now in regard to Commander Thorn, you never know what might happen in my story. I mean, Waxer, Hardcase, Fives and Hevy didn't die, so Thorn might actually appear in this story. In fact, he might actually appear this chapter. I agree with you, he is an awesome commander. Now about the clones who disobeyed Order 66, head back and read Chapter 11.
Chaotic Skunk Demon: It was that network that got me into Power Rangers, Digimon and Transformers. I used to watch that network every day before and after school. Now, I did read secret of the 327th, that one is my favorite. Speaking of favorites, nice list of favorite Digimon and I like Zen-Aku myself.
Spartan-626: Thanks. Though, to be honest I felt like I was forgetting about the Dark Saber, so I figured I'd make it Neo's birthright. Plus, I like those references you mentioned. They make me laugh.
Darth Cody: Thanks, and I fixed that misspelling you mentioned.
54godamora: Thanks for the words about the fight between Trigger and Vader. Now as for Neo, like I said, this was before A Roman Holiday, and I figured another Mandalorian on Remnant would be a good idea.
Luffy L Deathwalker: What makes you think I won't use Neo's real name?
Monster King: Thanks
Jack Smith1: Thanks. Still have to read your last chapter.
Alright, time to get started. Disclaimers are the same as before, please enjoy. Oh and you'll see a familiar pilot and their bomber this chapter.
Song's this chapter are 'Awake and Alive' by Skillet, 'Showdown' from Project Wingman and 'Dogfight' by MOVE.
Chapter 61: Ace's
Echoing around the temple, the sounds of a flute could be heard all around the rebel base. Many thought it was the local wildlife, but in truth it was a song being played by Trigger. His flute, which resemble a knife was crafted by his father shortly before his death at the hands of Adam Taurus and the song he was playing was a song taught to him by his sister.
As he played the song, his mind was flooded with the memories of him, Neo, Amber and their father. All of the times they spent together as a family, the good and the bad times caused him much pain in his heart as tears flowed from his eyes. Months had past since his sister was murdered and he missed her greatly. His thoughts of vengeance against Cinder may be gone, but he wanted to bring her to justice, as his sister meant more to him than anything he could ever want in the entire galaxy.
His flute playing attracted the attention of a certain Clone Commander, one who everyone thought had died on Scipio almost twenty-years ago but somehow managed to survive and was taken by the Separatists, kept in stasis for years like Thire, Jek, Rhys, Stone and many of his brothers.
Commander Thorn, a trooper of the Coruscant Guard listened as Trigger played his song. Having been found in the wreckage of a Separatist frigate that was transporting his body to the Techno Union, the commander was quickly debriefed about the current state of the galaxy, which took the commander for a complete loop. The republic he fought for had been replaced by a dictatorship and the Jedi were all but wiped out by his own brothers, all because of the damned chip that he had in his head which was promptly removed at his request.
His Phase II armor was still damaged from the battle on Scipio, but he was able to replace it with a spare set of Phase 1 armor with the same features as his older set of armor. His DC-17's in their holsters and helmet in his hand, he kept to the shadows as Trigger continued his song.
Ray played the last few notes of the song before he stopped and looked to the shadows. "I know you're there, Thorn. You don't need to hide from me. I'm not one of the Jedi you knew during the war. I hold no grudge against you or your brothers." He said aloud.
"Sorry about that, Commander. I just didn't want to disturb you as you were playing. That was quite a song. Mandalorian's played that song as a way to honor the fallen warriors and it's often played during a full moon." Thorn apologized and explained. "Where'd you learn that song anyways?"
"My sister. She taught me that song when I was old enough to play the flute. It's just been a while since I played a flute and played that song. She was special in more ways than one and I don't just mean those maiden powers she had. She was strong, beautiful, kind and always willing to help those in need. Not to mention she also had a mean right hook, especially for those that accidentally… grabbed the wrong area." Ray admitted with a sheepish look.
"You mean you?" Thorn began as Trigger nodded. Thorn then laughed loudly, as did Pyrrha and Neo who had arrived and heard the last part of Ray's sentence. "I'm sorry, I just didn't think you had it in you to grab your own sister's chest. It, it must have been pretty painful." Thorn laughed, also getting Neo and Pyrrha to laugh as well.
"It was. If there was one thing you never should have done, it's grabbing her chest. I wasn't the only one who got hit, a lot of other boys got hit as well, but they were trying to coop a feel, but they got hit in the one place no man wants to get hit." Ray agreed, laughing as well before he spotted Neo and Pyrrha. "Guess you were looking for me, huh Neo?"
"Yeah, General Dodonna and Commander Ackbar are waiting for us in the command center. Also, your S35 was retrieved from Remnant and the modifications you asked for have been installed. They just need to be tested." Neo replied after she stopped laughing
"I thought your name was Trivia Vanille?" Pyrrha questioned the moment she stopped laughing as well.
"Eh, that name just doesn't really sit with me. Neo is a lot better anyway, even if it was a nickname the bullies gave me at school." Neo shrugged.
"Well, let's not keep them waiting." Thorn said in agreement before he started down the temple stairs towards the interior of the base. "By the way, Trigger. Why did you want to equip that fighter of yours with a pair of plasma cannons?" Thorn asked.
"One can never have enough weapons when it comes to hitting heavily armored targets, like shield generators or a ships bridge. Plus, having them on that bird reminds me of a character from a show I used to watch with my sister when we were still kids, something about giant robots that can turn into vehicles or something like that. I can't remember." Ray answered, putting his flute away and quickly followed after the others.
After they descended from the temples roof, they walked into the hanger where the Remnant based aircraft and Hellcats were undergoing maintenance after their last encounter with the Empire. Among the fighters was the Scurrg H-6 Prototype Bomber known as the Havoc, along with the only known Freefall-class bomber still being used in the galaxy. There pilots, a Bith and a Feeorin were talking with Plo, Dodonna and Ackbar as they stood over a holo-table. "…I'm telling you; the Empire has established a production facility for their TIE fighters on Taris. My intel is solid, it's the largest of the Empire's hidden TIE production plants. If you take it out, the Empire won't be able to produce as many fighters or bombers as they are currently able to produce right now." The Feeorin said to the three Rebel leaders.
"Your work with Master Gallia has given you my trust, but why are you helping us now? You and your band of Revenants have always attacked the Empire when they came in close to your planet, what changed your mind, Nym?" Plo asked.
"You ever hear of the Taris massacre? It figured you wouldn't, the Empire kept it under wraps. Dozens of protesters were gunned down by the Empire after they executed a Jedi who was hiding on the planet without so much as even a trial. I may be a pirate, but I don't gun down civilians because they are protesting the unlawful execution of a so called 'Jedi traitor'." Nym replied, clenching his fists. "Besides, that factory is my target as well. I think it's time for me and my boys to start hitting the Empire hard and if that means helping you guys, then you got yourself a hero."
"So that's your bomber out in the hanger?" Ray asked as he walked into the briefing room. "Because that is nice ship you got there. Six laser cannons, a bomb chute, cruise missiles and proximity mines, that is one seriously armed ship. Bet it could take on a horde of airborne Grimm and keep on flying all the way to Atlas." He said impressively.
"The Havoc's gotten me and my crew through a lot of tough battles, during and before the times of the Empire." Nym answered, taking note of Ray and Neo's armor. "A couple of Mandalorian's huh? Well, that makes this a lot more interesting. Which one of you pilots that ship with the plasma cannons?"
"That would be me." Ray answered.
"That's good. Because you're going to need them." The pirate answered before he pressed a few buttons on the holo-table and brought up the TIE factory. "This trench that runs right along the factory pumps out waste into river that supplies one of the cities with water. Right at the end of the trench is a wall where the factories reactor is based. Hit that thing and the whole factory goes sky high, once the reactor has been exposed." Nym added.
"This factory isn't located near the city, right? I won't risk killing civilians just to take on the Empire." Neo asked.
"Trust me, miss. Our intel has confirmed that the factory is a great distance away from the city. Taking out the factory will not only cripple the Empire's fighter production but will also give the people of the city a chance to get their water back. I'd say that's a win-win in both our books." The Bith said.
"Jenkins, contact our boys on Lok and tell them to ready their fighters. Have them rendezvous with us near Ord Mantell, we'll surprise the Empire before they can detect us. Have those piloting the M3-A's, G1-M4's and M12's loaded up with their maximum loadout of missiles and torpedo's, we're going to be in one hell of a fight." Nym told the Bith, now identified as Jenkins.
"Right away, Nym." Jenkins replied and contacted the Lok Revenants who piloted said fighters.
"Working alongside pirates, I never saw this coming. Did you Neo?" Pyrrha asked the multicolored girl.
"Nope, never saw this coming either, Pyrrha. By the way, how's your saber training coming along? I heard you prefer Form II." Neo answered and replied.
"My training has been going swimmingly, but I still miss Jaune. I wish I could contact him and the others, at the very least I could I let them know I am alive and well." Pyrrha answered and admitted. "I know it's against protocol, and it will give away my location to Cinder and the Empire, but I just can't shake the feeling that Jaune is in great danger." Pyrrha admitted. Her words didn't go unnoticed by Plo.
Hours later, over the planet known as the 'Heart of the Bright Jewel', the F15's of the Galm Team, the S37's of Team SDOW, the S35, F15 and F14 of the Garuda Team, Bartlett's F14, the Havoc and Freefall dropped out of hyperspace over the planet and waited for the Lok Revenants to arrive at the RV point. They waited and waited before their reinforcements arrived in the form of the M3-A Scyk fighter, G1-M4-C Dunelizard fighter and M12-L-Kimogila heavy fighter.
The M3-A's top atmospheric speed was nine-hundred and fifty kilometers per hour and had a standard armament of twin light laser cannons, that could be swapped out for twin light Ion cannons. Along with it's guns, it was could also be armed with a proton torpedo or concussion missile launcher.
The G1-M4-C on the other hand, while it had the same speed as the M3-A was armed with a set of twin-medium laser cannons and a single warhead launcher. Much like the M3-A, could also have it's loadout swapped out for different weapons, making it a deadly opponent in battle.
As for the M12-L, it was a heavy starfighter was a slower atmospheric speed of eight-hundred and fifty kilometers per hour. It terms of firepower, it carried two heavy laser cannons, a concussion missile launcher and a single proton torpedo launcher, giving it the heaviest firepower out of all of the three Lok fighters and making it an exceptional bomber.
All three fighters were equipped with shielding, class 2 hyperdrives and an astromech droid slot for the M12 and G1. All of them were designed by Mandalmotors on Mandalore and were used by the Hutt's to protect their interests, often being employed by mercenary pilots who didn't have an issue with turning a blind eye to the Hutt's activities, especially if it meant a paycheck.
Though they were waging their own war against the Empire, the pilots of the Lok Revenants weren't above supplying the rebellion with supplies and intel on imperial targets, especially targets that they also planned on taking out themselves.
Much to the surprise of the pilots, a single F22 with a two-tone blue paint scheme dropped out of hyperspace directly behind the Garuda Team. A quick glance at the spear piercing a shield emblem on the tail confirmed, much to the surprise of the pilots that Pyrrha was piloting the aircraft and it was her personal fighter. "Guess this explains all that time you've been spending with Captain Bartlett back at the base. F22, that's a nice plane. Pyrrha, you loaded for air-to-air combat?" Ray asked.
"Affirmative, Trigger. I'm loaded with twenty XMAA's and twelve standard missiles. And before you ask, my callsign is Black Leader, though I don't have a squadron ready to lead yet." Pyrrha responded, her orange flight suit clearly visible from inside the cockpit of her fighter.
"Alright then." Trigger began before he contacted all of the pilots. "Garuda 1 to all craft, set coordinates for Taris and prepare to jump to hyperspace. Head for the target location and let's give the Empire a real big headache. It's time they pay for what they did to Remnant." He said to all members of the squadron. "Nym, you and your boys will get your payment once the job is complete."
"Forget about payment, this is vengeance, Ray. Pure and simple." Nym replied as every single fighter powered up their hyperdrives and made the jump to the hyperspace. Ray was the last one to jump into hyperspace as he sensed something nearby.
The massive coalition of pirate and rebel fighters soon dropped out over the outer rim planet and were quickly made their descent into the atmosphere, continuing to scan for any incoming imperial fighters. Once they broke through the atmosphere, the Remnant natives saw the ruins of a once great city. "Looks like Ironwood blew this city to hell with his air fleet. What the hell happened here?" Mickey questioned.
"Three thousand years ago, give or take a few decades, someone in the Sith Empire decided to raze the upper city to the ground to prevent a few Old Republic officers and a Jedi from making it off world. They killed not only the people of Taris, but their own troops as well. Since then, people have been trying to rebuild the upper city while the planet itself has recovered. The Empire hid this factory well, considering the rebuilding is still being undertaken, even without the assistance of the Republic or Empire." Jenkins answered.
"Talk about ground zero for the apocalypse." Pixy grimaced. His radar soon picked up multiple contacts approaching from the direction of the factory. "Looks like they sent out the welcoming committee, fighters inbound!"
A lethal swarm of at least three hundred TIE fighters roared over the wreckage of the upper city from the base factory. Their twin Ion-engines echoed all over the city and drew the eyes of many people who were working hard to repair the city. "Dude! That's a hell of a lot of fighters coming our way!" Wyn pointed out excitedly.
"Then it looks like we've got one hell of a dogfight coming up!" Sarah said in agreement.
"Alright, nuggets, let's give them our best. Anyone with bombs, flank right and hit the factory defenses, we need to soften up so Trigger can make his attack run!" Bartlett ordered.
"Copy that. Garuda Team, Pyrrha, Galm Team, Captain Bartlett, form up on my wing and arm all weapons. Team SDOW, go with Nym and his crew and give them some back up. Let's keep these guys occupied." Trigger instructed. The others acknowledged his orders and R5 notified him about the status of his planes plasma cannons. "Notify me the moment the cannons are ready. We'll make our run once their fully powered up." He told his astromech copilot who beeped in response.
(Dogfight starts)
All pilots of the coalition broke off before the Imperial pilots were within gun range as the aerial battle began. Several imperial pilots decided to focus on Pyrrha, broke off their intended attack on Trigger and dove after the rookie pilot. Pyrrha's astromech copilot, R6-N7 informed his companion of the four fighters on her tail, but Pyrrha wasn't worried in the slightest. Remembering her training, Pyrrha banked in the right or left to avoid the enemy fire. Green lasers flew past her cockpit as she banked hard left and got behind one of the enemy fighters. "Guns." She said to herself and pulled the trigger.
Her twin cannons erupted as red-hot lasers slammed into the fighter which spun down to the surface and exploded. The three remaining fighters executed a series of evasive maneuvers but flew right into her line of fire and ended up joining their comrade. "Nice shooting, Pyrrha. You got four fighters in one go! That's showing them!" Neo praised.
"I had a good teacher." Pyrrha said in regard to her luck. Another group of fighters were within missile range and the red-haired girl switched from guns to her XMAA's. "Fox 3!" she called out and launched her four missiles at the enemy fighters. The imperial fighters reacted too late to avoid being skewered by the missiles and exploded into bits of flaming metal.
Suddenly, her aircraft shuddered, and her shields were reduced by five percent. Turning around, Pyrrha noticed she had an enemy fighter on her tail. Executing a series of random and evasive maneuvers, Pyrrha zig-zagged in a series of tight turns until the enemy fighter was right in her gun sights. Switching back to her standard missiles, she got a lock and hit the fire button. A single missile slammed into the TIE's engine, causing the enemy fighter to explode in mid-air.
Pyrrha pushed her aircraft into a dive to avoid the wreckage of the imperial fighter. Already, she had nine kills to her name before she spotted a friendly M12 with a couple of fighters on its tails. The pilot called out that their shields were down, and they couldn't take any more damage. Sadly, the calls weren't fast enough as the pirate fighter caught fire and spun to the ground below. With a fire burning inside her, Pyrrha kicked in her planes twin-engines to full power and sped after the enemy fighters. Getting into firing range, she switched to her XMAA's and fired another volley, scoring four more kills.
As her four targets fell to the ground in fireballs, Pyrrha spotted a lone TIE fighter that was separated from its squad mates. Switching back to her guns, she switched from lasers to bullets and gave chase. This enemy pilot was different from the others. Clearly, this pilot had more experience than the previous pilots she had encountered, so it was obvious to Pyrrha that she needed to keep her guard up.
The moment she got into gun-range, the enemy pilot banked left and dived to the ground below. Pyrrha gave chase and saw that the pilot was diving towards the lower levels of the old city. Both she and her enemy pulled up to avoid slamming into the ground. At nearly ground level, one wrong move from either of them would result in their deaths. Pyrrha waited for the exact moment for the enemy pilot to make a critical mistake, a mistake that got the enemy right into her gunsights. A pull of the trigger sent dozens of non-dust infused 20mm cannon shells into the enemy fighter, clipping one of its wings before the rest of the fighter slammed into the structure of a wrecked building.
Pyrrha was quick to snap back on the stick to avoid slamming into the old building, before leveling out and found herself in the sights of several enemy fighters. Executing a sharp left turn, Pyrrha banked away from the enemy craft, but a few enemy fighters were about to go after her. Luckily for her, a salvo of XMAA's and XLAA's from the rest of Garuda team slammed into a dozen enemy fighters, saving her life. "Thanks for the save, Ray. I guess I got a little carried away in the adrenaline of battle." Pyrrha admitted sheepishly.
(End song)
"Don't worry about it, Pyrrha. It happened to me the first time I saw actual air-to-air combat. Just stick close to us and try not to get shot down. Jaune will have my ass if you die." Ray assured the new pilot, before opening up with his twin 30mm cannons that ripped a TIE fighter to shreds when it flew into his path. "Damn it! There's too many of these fighters. All teams, regroup and engage the enemy. Don't bite off more than you can chew." He shouted to his comrades.
(Showdown starts)
"Team SDOW copies!" Sarah acknowledged, forming up with her teammates as another squadron of TIE's came roaring in, firing their twin cannons at the rebel and pirate fighters. "Evasive maneuvers!" she ordered. Her teammates were quick to roll hard left and avoid the enemy fire, but several Revenant G-400's weren't so lucky and were blown out of the sky. "Damn it! We're taking too many loses! Dominique, Olivia, Wyn, arm all your XLAA's and follow me." She instructed.
"Roger!" the three girls replied and followed their team leader. Maintaining an element, the four S37's dived towards the ground at top speed before pulling up just in time to avoid slamming into the remains of the lower city. The four Mandalorian's flew nearly several hundred feet above the ground before they pulled a sharp one-hundred and eighty degree turn and sped after the enemy fighters as they climbed rapidly to reengage the enemy. Once in range, the four pilots fired four of their XLAA's at the imperial fighters before they broke off after group of four TIE fighters, gunning them down with their own 30mm cannons. Their missiles each scored them four kills each.
"Dude! We keep this up and we'll have the airspace locked down in no time!" Wyn stated, firing a pair of XLAA's at two enemy fighters, giving her another two kills. "These things don't have shields so we can take them down easy."
"I wouldn't be so sure about that. Sure, we've got hybrid cannons, but they outnumber us more that five to one. With this many fighters, so of us aren't going to be making it back alive." Neo said over the commlink as a pair of M3-A's went down in flames. "See what I mean? They gang up on a single craft like a bunch of bullies." She snarled.
"Then why don't we bully them instead?" Cipher suggested as he, Pixy and PJ dived down on the enemy formation and launched several missiles at the imperial fighters, scoring several kills. Several fighters broke off from the formation, but the Galm Team gave chase after the fighters, running them down with their guns.
Another formation of TIE's came directly at them from head-on, but they to were riddled with cannon fire and spiraled down to the ground in flames. "We still ow these guys some payback for Vale, let's show them why they used to call us a couple of unchained dogs." Cipher said with a smirk as he launched another salvo of XMAA's at several imperial fighters. Four imperial fighters exploded in mid-air, before peeling off and ran down several enemy fighters with his cannons.
"Following your lead, Galm 1." PJ called out and followed Cipher's lead as did Pixy. The three Dagger pilots cut a path through the Imperial fighters, downing a dozen fighters with their firepower and creating an opening for the pirate craft to make their attack run on the factories defenses. "A lot of people died because of these bastards. It's only fair that we pay them back with a black eye of their own." PJ said in agreement.
"Sounds good to me!" Mickey replied and unleashed a volley of his own XLAA's before banking hard left, getting on the flank of the enemy fighters and made pass with his guns downing seven fighters in a single pass. "This one's for Greg and Boris." He called out, banking around and made another pass at the enemy craft. This time, Captain Bartlett followed his lead and the two of them downed an astonishing fourteen fighters with a single pass.
Not wanting to be left out of the action, Nym opened up with the Havoc's six cannons, downing a squadron of enemy craft in one pass. "Eat plasma, you imperial slime!" he snarled before he saw the trench leading to the factory. "Revenant 1 to all craft, I've got eyes on the trench. Sol Sixxa, Jenkins, follow me in. Sixxa, arm your weapons and let's make that opening!"
"Copy that Nym." The two pirates replied as more pirate fighters headed for the factory and launched their missiles and torpedo's at the turbo laser towers, knocking them out of action.
"Nym, we need to drop those bombs now or else we won't be able to hit the reactor!" Jenkins reminded the pirate captain, downing an enemy fighter with his cannons.
"I know that, Jenkins!" Nym shouted to his Bith ally as the factory came into view. "Let's do this. All Revenants, ready your weapons and fire on my command." He ordered. Turbo laser fire bracketed the allied fighters, shooting many of them down but the pirates continued to press on. Once in range, the pirate fighters dropped their bombs and launched their missiles at the designated target location.
(End song)
The ordnance scored a direct hit on the factory wall, but it still held strong. "Blast it! The wall is more reinforced than we thought. We'll need to make another pass at the factory, but our firepower isn't strong enough. The only thing we have left are Triggers plasma cannons, but he'll need to get in close to the factory. We can't hold out much longer, Nym. We need to retreat!" Jenkins shouted.
Before anyone could even respond, Trigger broke formation and dived for the trench. "Kid! What the hell are you doing!?" Mickey exclaimed as the modified S35 entered the trench.
(Awake and Alive starts)
"Unless we shut this place down, the Empire's going to keep producing more and more fighters and we'll be outnumbered. We need to blow this place to hell. All pilots, retreat now! I'll take care of the factory!" Ray shouted, pulling up to avoid slamming into the trench and kicked in full after burner.
Turbo laser fire from the turrets in the trench flew past his cockpit as the Remnant pilot checked the status of his plasma cannons. They were fully powered up and ready to fire, but he needed to get within range of his target before he could fire. "R5, divert power from the cannons to the shields! We'll need all the protection we can get!" he shouted to his companion.
His droid did as they were instructed, but the enemy fire continued to bracket his plane, especially from the enemy fighters diving towards him from above. Weaving carefully through the trench, Ray fired his 30mm cannons at the turrets that he almost crashed into. He continued to race down the trench, but one of the turrets scored a lucky hit on his plane knocking his shields out for good, but he wasn't undaunted in the least. "Come on you bucket heads! Give me everything you've got." He goaded, though the imperials didn't hear him.
"Kid, you can't make that shot! It's impossible to break through that wall!" Cipher shouted over the commlink.
"I can make the impossible, possible. I'm not giving up! I'll destroy this factory, for my sister, my father and my family!" he proclaimed and kept his finger on the trigger. He used up all his cannon ammo destroying any turrets that got in his way, leaving him with only his missiles left. "Almost there."
Once he was within five-thousand meters, he made his move. "It's to finish this once and for all! Activate plasma cannons! FIRE!" he shouted and hit a switch on his console. The plasma cannons on top his plane sprung up and glowed bright before they fired. The blast blew a hole right were the pirate ordnance been dropped and hit the reactor at the same time. "Target hit!" he called out, pulling up from his run as a chain reaction erupted through the factory before it exploded in a brilliant fashion.
"HE DID IT!" Neo shouted as her adoptive brother rejoined the formation and headed for home.
(End song)
By the time they returned to Yavin 4, Ray's S35 was badly damaged. The use of his plasma cannons at full-power fried all of the electrical systems in the plane and critically damaged, meaning he would have to use his F14 until it was repaired.
"That was reckless, you that kid? You could have easily been killed if you made a mistake." Thorn berated. "But you got the job done, and that's what matters. Just try not to be too reckless in the future. I'd hate to hear you've died before we can finish that project you wanted to work on."
"I'll try to remember that, Commander." Ray replied before he turned to Pyrrha. "Hey, Pyrrha. Hold on a sec."
"What is it?" Pyrrha asked.
"You remember after Amber was murdered and I blamed you for not saving her. I just wanted to say I'm sorry. I was upset and I didn't handle my emotions the way I wanted to. I called you all sorts of names and I am really sorry for what I said. I just…" he began before Pyrrha cut him off.
"Just stop. You don't need to apologize for anything. I never hated you for what you said and I don't blame you for being upset. I would be too if it were my sister that was murdered. That being said, I hope we can continue working together as allies." Pyrrha answered.
"Cinder will pay for what she did to Amber, but that task falls to Ruby and Galen. They'll avenge my sister. I know it." Ray said in agreement, pulling out his flute and played the same song from the night before.
And after a bit of a writers block, I am finished with this chapter. Sorry it took so long.
First off, Thorn is back and alive. Thanks to Silverfox3456 for the idea. Hope you like it.
Second, Ray's S35 was given plasma cannons, much like a certain character who scanned the SU35 for his vehicle mode and had a pair of shoulder cannons. Anyone want to take a guess who I am referring to?
Third, Pyrrha has piloted an F22. I took the idea from a series, On Wings of RWBY which is basically the cast of RWBY being fighter pilots in our time, an alternate timeline where the Cold War took a turn for the worst.
Anyway, please read and review and I'll see you all next time when we return to Remnant.
