Chapter 6

The Dark Pyramid always gave General Slythe chills, it was so hollow and just completely lifeless. Not a single swampy leak, or a bit of a smell of dank. Various animals, mostly made up of defective jackals and mokian roamed the place, trying to get the place back to full capacity. Once upon a time apparently this was a large and massive space vessel that roamed the universe and conquered various worlds in the name of Lord Mumm-Ra.

Nothing like his glorious marsh lands back home. Or what his glorious mash lands used to be like before the Cats destroyed everything he had ever loved. Oh how he remembered that day. The rage and anger. It would have destroyed him, if, if he hadn't let it consume in, and instead turn it into a blade worthy of revenge and power. Power that Lord Mumm-Ra had promised him.

For a while, things had been good, the lizard army, once the most backwards and disorganized in all Third Earth had been transformed into a mechanical monstrosity that could march across the entire planet. Mumm-Ra's pyramid building them weapons, modernizing them, organizing them, making them a force to be feared throughout the entire planet.

Of course as of late their recent defeats by the cats have lowered the view of the lizards in Lord Mumm-Ra's eyes. All Slythe needed was one victory, one victory to continue to prove his people's worth. However with other animals now coming into the fold as well Mumm-Ra's odd experiments, the lizards were becoming more and more marginalized by the day.

"Ah General, welcome back"

Speaking of new recruits.

"Vultair" Slythe sneered as the large vultureman came to him, that smug superior face on his beek, "Where is the master?"

"He is busy at the moment, insuring that we have better weapons and more importantly, better troops, to win the war " Vultaire replied, in that impressive accent of his, "I have been much of help in this endeavor, my scientific prowess is second only to him"

Slythe eyes narrowed. Ever since he had joined Mumm-Ra because Vultair had been one of the more annoying servants of the evil one. This vulture was a politician, not a general, although he was also a scientist as well. An annoying one at that.

For the last few months Mumm-Ra had been showing more and more disapproval among the animals he had been displeased by the lizard army, along with the dog and simion recruits. Going on how they lacked the vile killer instinct that would be the ultimate victory against the Thundercats. Since then he had been looking for something to better his forces to make them more to his specification. To make them Mutants.

"Running a war is hard work Slythe" Vultair continued much to Slythe annoyance, "Something you wouldn't know about"

Slythe glared at him, "I've been running this war long before any of you joined, I was the first one to join Mumm-Ra, my people were the ones who-"

"SILENCE!"

Suddenly they all went silent at the sound of the commanding voice coming from the top of the long stairway to the sarcophagus. There in his bandage and broken withired form, walked the most powerful benign in all of Third Earth. Mumm-Ra, The Ever Living.

The old one's appearance shouldn't be underestimated. While he came off as a withered looking soul, draped in a blood red cloak, covered in bandages, hunched over and moving slowly. This broken down husk was in turn the most powerful benign on Third Earth. Maybe even the universe. Someone who single handedly turned the lizard army from a beaten and broken force that easily got trampled over by all the other creatures of Third Earth into one of the most powerful in the world.

There were still things that Slyth himself did not know of his master.

Quickly the lizard general along with the others bowed, although Slythe saw a certain puma cat stand by his master's side, seeming quite smug about it.

"What is all this pattering?'' Slythe' Mumm-Ra growled as he approached him, "You better have good news for me, for once".

Slythe looked up, taking a deep breath, "Master, we have new developments, a spaceship crashed here not to long ago, my forces are securing it, even as we speak"

"A spaceship" Mumm-Ra eyes narrowed and glowed a bit, "Why is there a spaceship landing here on Third Earth"

"I do not know my lord, but we were attacked by the vessels owners, one of them seemed to be quite powerful"

"No good blonde" Kanar grumbled, "I would have had her too"

"Great, just what we need, more trouble" Pumayra scowled, "You should have eliminated when they had the chance"

Atticus hooted and howled, "Well it weren't for the Thundercats then maybe"

"Thundercats!" Mumm-Ra eyes widened in anger, "They are allied with the Thundercats! The last things they need are more followers opposing my evil reign over this world!"

Slythe tried to protest "My lord, we tried to to-"

"Don't bother Slythe" Mumm-Ra held out a hand, "I am done hearing your excuses, I keep you around only to keep the lizards in line, but know that the day I do not need you, you'll be done with. Do not forget that it was I Mumm-Ra who made you my general, and brought your people from out of the gutter".

Slythe's eyes lowered as he nodded, "Yes master, I will do better in the future".

"I grow tired of waiting for Slythe, which is why a new hierarchy will be imposed today" Mumm-Ra declared.

Slythe looked stunned, "N-New hierarchy"

"Why you will command all forces on the field, Supreme Command will now go directly to Pumyra!

The personal mission I have sent her on has shown me she is a capable warrior. It is to be expected after all...she is a cat"

Pumayra smirked and bowed, "A honor to serve you my lord"

"As it should be' Mumm-Ra chuckled darkly, turning to Slythe and the other generals, "I'm sure none of you disapprove of my command. "

"Nope, not me," Kanar cackled.

Atticus hissed, "Fine, I guess ho hoo"

"I'm a diplomat not a general so…" Vultair tapped his claws.

Slythe just glared at Pumayra, how was it that he was being outranked by a cat of all things, but he did not dair go against Mumm-Ra's will….for now.

"Of course master" Slythe merely said.

"Good. Never forget, we all have our place in the hierarchy, like my pyramid there are thoe who will be at the bottom, and those who will be near the top, and then finally the pinnacle of it all...Myself".

Mumm-Ra walked over to his portal mirror, summoning his dark powers to see just what exactly they had fought against. Looking in through the poul, he saw the images of his enemies, the strange bright warrior, along with the other ones who they had fought.

In shock Mumm-Ra stepped back, "By the ancients, I never thought I would see a She-Ra ever again?""

"A what?" Kanar asked.

"Something from a bygone age" Mumm-Ra declared, "Something once thought lost to the universe, something that was once prevalent in a time when my reign across the cosmo's was supreme, and only the foolish of hearts dared to challenge my evil might! ThoughtI had once thought this power was lost to the universe forever it appears, I was am mistaken, or that much has changed during my long absence"

"You know them master?" Pumayra asked.

Mumm-Ra shook his head, "Not personally, but I do know what they are, and even what one of their companions is as well. Though why She-Ra came to Third Earth is a mystery even to me. Perhaps we should go and ask them, hahahaha!"

"Shall I go after them Lord Mumm-Ra". Pumayra spoke with vigor in her voice.

"Not yet my dear, we have the bait we need to bring them to us!" Mumm-Ra smirked looking up at Slythe, "So long as you foolish Mutants, didn't negate the opportunity to steal there space craft vessel"

"Of course not my lord" Slythe hissed, lowering his head in fear "I still have a division of men in the area"

"Good, bring the ship to me, immediately!"

"I shall supervise the operation my lord" Pumyara bowed, much to Slythe's chagrin.

"Thank you my dear, you cats after all have had a reputation for efficiency, a trait that goes back as far as your ancestors, I am sure you will not fail. Now go do not fail me!"

With that Slythe bowed and he went, feeling once again humiliated, but he would make himself known once again. Everything he had lost, he would regain. The lizard people would be strong at the end. They would have their revenge.

So here Catra was stuck on another planet that was at war with an evil tyrannical force and they were taking sides. Great, just peachy. Oh sure it wasn't like she wanted to be helping the bad guys or anything. However this wasn't their war, they had to deal with Etheria, reconstruction, making amends, doing good. Not fighting, always fighting. Always with the chance of getting hurt, of Adora getting hurt.

Seriously, how many nut jobs did the universe have?

Apparently these Thundercats had been fighting some ancient evil force known as Mumm-Ra the Ever Living. Outside the dumb name, he sounded by like Horde Prime levels of bad. Thankfully he didn't have an interstellar Empire to deal with and instead was here on Third Earth. Which he would hopefully remain. Adora of course was gun ho to help, those She-Ra hero instincts kicking in. For some reason it angered Catra. She didn't need to do this, she didn't need to fight. It wasn't even a matter of helping so much as it was fear of what could be lost by fighting.

"We should join up with that Everliving guy"

Catra jumped to turn to the mirror in her room, it was her standing there but in her old Force Captain uniform, mask, with black leggings and glove that covered her entire right arm.

"Not again," Catra muttered.

Force Captain Catra smirked, "Look at you, you saw that army, it was amazing, why are we these losers".

"Because of Adora thats why"

"And she wants to go hero with them, always fighting lost causes, as her parents were the ones in charge on Eternia, these guys look like one battle and they're dead".

Catra sneered, "Shut it!"

"You just don't like to hear it because you know I'm right"

"That's-"

"Catra"

Catra jumped to see Adora pop her head inside, "You okay, I heard voices"

"Oh I uh-" Catra looked at the mirror to see her own reflection and not her past self, "I'm good, just you know, muttering to myself about stuff"

"Oh, okay" Adora walked up to Catra and sat down putting a soft hand on her own, it felt good, "Hey um, so...These are fellow cat people huh"
Catra blinked, "Oh yeah, guess I forgot because of all the battle"

"A whole planet of them" Adora took a deep breath as she looked around the room, "Kinda cool huh"

"Eh, it's whatever".

"Whatever!" Adora looked taken aback, "It's a whole planet of Cat people, people like you, I barley see any other cat people on Etheria''

"I'm sure they're, there Adora"

"Yeah but still…."

Catra rolled her eyes but smiled, Adora was always enthusiastic about these things, however she frowned as she remembered why she was nervous, "I don't like the idea of helping these Thundercats"

"What why?" Adora blinked.

"It's not that I don't think there bad, it's just, this isn't our fight"

"Well…" Adora tapped her fingers on her legs, "We can help them so long as we can get Darla back, I mean come on there rebels like we were fighting bad guys"

"We" Catra huffed looking down at the ground, "You're the rebel Adora, i'm the Force Captain who nearly conquered the planet"

"You became a rebel by the end" Adora said, putting a hand on her shoulder, "You fought against something far worse than anyone we knew in the Horde. Honestly the more I think about it outside of Shadow Weaver, no one in the Horde was THAT bad".

"Grizzlor was a bit of a grump" Catra said

Adora laughed, "Okay sure but I mean, nothing outside of Horde Prime and Shadow Weaver, heck even you said Hordak wasn't THAT bad"

"I guess that just leaves me, i was the one by the end pushing everyone to fight hard and conquer"

"Catra" Adora frowned, "You gotta stop pushing yourself like that-"

"Looks who talking" Catra smirked

Adora rolled her eyes, "I'm serious, your doing so well,

"Thanks"

Catra just leaned on Adora shoulder and rubbed her head against it as she started purring leaving her scent. Back in the Horde she repressed many of her feline instincts until she tried to be just as normal as any other cadet. However now and with her beloved she felt free to be herself, for the moment anyway.

Still, she didn't know just quite what they were going to do here on this Third Earth, or worse, how exactly.

"Knock knock"

Catra looked up to see that kid king Lion-O walking in, he had a bit of goofy grin and didn't look very kingly

"He reminds me of your brother," Catra whispered.

Adora nodded and whispered back, "He does, doesn't he"

"Hey!" Lion-O clapped his hands unsure what to say, "Just wanna say again, welcome to Cats Lair, just wanted to check in, your cat I'm kinda king of thats"

"Not my king," Catra smirked.

Lion-O blushed, "Oh, i'm not saying that I'm just-"

"I'm kidding" Catra held up a hand and got up looking at him for a moment, "So...Your the big cat in charge huh"

Lion-O gulped, Catra, small tiny skinny Catra was more intimidating than this large lion king, "G-Guess i am yeah"

"I see-" Catra circled around him like a predator had its prey, Adora couldn't help but giggle a bit although she seemed curious as to what she was doing. Finally she stood right in front of him and smiled, before frowning and saying, "Don't let it go to your head, last time I saw a cat in charge of things it didn't end well'

Turning back to the bed she sat down next to Adora.

Lion-O seemed to have no idea what happened, "Okay" he looked at the door, "If you need anything, let me know" with that he left.

"Um Catra-" Adora said, "Weren't you the cat in charge"

Catra rolled her eyes, "I was being dramatic Adora"

"Oh"

-000-

"Isn't this place amazing Hordak?" Entrapta bounced around the main computer room, "Roboto, Roboto, check it out"

"Analyzing" Robot scanned, "Fascinating, definitely highly advanced and yet ancient".

"Ancient" Hordak muttered, eyes squinting a bit.

Hordak was allowed to explore, as long as they didn't touch anything. The large one named Panthro was very clear on this. However the old lord of the Horde felt a sense of unease the whole time they were here. Something deep in the corner of his mind festered at him.

These Thundercats or Thunderians mentioned someone by the name of Mumm-Ra, the Ever Living. Something in his mind told him that it was a name he had known before. However, never on Etheria were there any records of a Mumm-Ra nor did he ever meet one personally. His mind began to wonder if this was part of the collected knowledge of the Hive Mind, and that this was all collected to Horde Prime. Part of him wanted to investigate further

However he did not want to deflate Entrapta's fun with worries of his mind. She always seemed very excited to see new technology at work. He remembered her earlier time in the Horde, and how at awe she was when she saw the technological achievements The Fright Zone had compared to the other Kingdoms.

Etheria was always a backward water world. That wasn't an insult but just a sheer fact, compared to the technological advancements of Prime the planet he found himself in was several centuries behind. While his memory was fuzzy after that he remembered some of the first few Etherians who came to him, asking him to help and give his technology. The rest was a blur, and why he did was also a blurr. Although he did know that by giving his technology and building more of it from whatever scraps of material who get from the planet he was able to build his army and thus create the Etheria branch of the Horde.

Never would it reach the technology heights of Prime, but it was far different from any other army Etheria would or ever would see again.

Though the days of wanting to please Prime through conquest were gone.

Now his scientific endeavours were to please whatever whims his lab partner Entrpta wished.

It made him feel...Pleasant.

Suddenly his tranquility as broken as a puff of smoke emerged and the one called Orko showed up, "Uh hi!"

"Oh Orko, what's up"

"Just seeing how everyone is doing...heh heh…."

"WHERE IS HE!"

The door burst open as the large lumbering one called Panthro came in and apparently his once mechanical hands had been replaced by two flowers.

Hordak looked at Orko with a raised eyebrow, "What happened"

"Um, I tried to restore his arms with magic and well...It failed"

Entrapta looked intriguing, "Fascinating, magic does have some interesting healing capabilities, and I wonder how science could enhance them. I'll have to ask Adora next time I see her about that"

"Change back my arms!" Panthro yelled.

"Oh right sorry," Orko waved his wands, "Larms, alarms, come back robot arms"

In a puff of smoke the robot arms that Panthro had, had returned to him.

"Sorry" Orko sighed.

"It's okay". Entrapta interjected, "Just try next time, if there is one thing magic in science seem to have in common is that trial and error is important"

"Well just don't try it on me" The lumbering cat just scowled at Orko before turning back to his other guest.

"Apologies," Panthro growled, "So, enjoying the technology?"

"Oh yes, very much so" Entrapta nodded, "It must have taken some time to build all of this"

"Well I didn't do it all by myself I had some help-"

The answer to who that help was came from the door as Hordak noticed several tiny robot bear-like creatures emerge from the door. All of them stopped to look up at Panthro and then suddenly at him.

"Greetings friend, I am Robear Bill, of the Robear Berbils" The bear said in a mechanical voice.

Entrapta squeed and her eyes widened, "OH MY GOSH ROBOT BEARS!"

"Yeah, the Berbils" Panthro groaned, "Good luck getting them to leave you alone"

Hordak nodded, "Greetings Robear Bill, I am Hordak and this Entrapta"

"Robot armor?" Robear Bill pointed to Hordak.

"Uh, y-yes, it is of my own design"

"Robear Bill and Berbils could help make you more"

Hordak blinked, "T-That will not be necessary, Entrapta is the one who handles all my armor needs"

"Rober Bill and Hordak...FRIENDS!"

"Ah, he wants to be your friend Hordak," Entrapta smiled.

"Well uh y-yes, thank you" Hordak didn't really know what to do in this situation, friendship was still a subject of which he had much study to do on the matter.

The Robear Berbills just cheered

"Good luck getting rid of them now," Panthro muttered.

Hordak sighed, "Our ship is still lost, we will require it back"

"We'll have to think of a plan, Mumm-Ra's forces love to patrol the outer areas, they have a lot of mobility" Panthro responded.

Hordak shivered at the mention of the name, "w-we still have to try"

Part of him wondered why he had such fear of this name, this Mumm-Ra.

"Hey Hordak!" Entrapta jumped up behind him.

"Yes Entrapta?"

"I think I have a idea to save Darla, but I'll need your help"

-000-

Scorpia didn't really know what to do first on a new planet, she hadn't really had much experience with new planets, her only real escapade was the Eternia escapade.

At least the room they gave her was nice.

Still, she wasn't quite sure what to do on this planet of Catra's as she was calling it. Although it was pretty cool, there were so many Catra-looking people. Oh wait, it was that rude to call them that. They were officially called Thunderians, best to stick to that name as not to be rude. Manners were important as she learned from an early age. Well actually no, she never really was, but she self-taught herself that, people seemed to like that stuff.

"Hope Perfuma is doing okay, too bad I can't call her, hope Glimmer told her was going out, it was so last minute" Scorpia took a deep breath.

Life back home wasn't going so well, oh sure Perfuma was great, greater than great, Perfuma was perfection. It was just the whole restoring the Fright Zone and ruling the old Scorpino Kingdom again that was the not great part. Honestly she didn't know why she was doing it in the first place outside of just being a Princess for Princess sake. Though honestly it seemed like no one wanted to follow her or set up shop in the new Kingdom

Scorpia barely knew anything about what her Grandpa's reign of the Fright Zone was like in all honesty. No one really told her. All she knew was that the other Princesses didn't really like her family, and that she knew from her moms before they eventually passed away. Though she was told that her Grandpa was loyal when he made the alliance with the Horde. Of course now she wasn't even sure if that was true.

As of late when she did try to ask former Horde folk that she meat on her travels they always gave her a strange and annoyed look when she asked about their Grandad if they were old enough to remember.

It was unfortunate Hordak memories were still bad, otherwise she'd ask him, for as strange as it sounded, she knew he wouldn't lie.

Still.

Scorpia then blinked and looked up to see two heads looking out from the door only to scatter away.

"Hey, it's okay" Scorpia sat up waving, "Hi"

Again the two heads appeared, they were.

They were.

"Um hi, I'm Wilykat and this my sister Wilykit"

Scorpia gasped, "Oh my gosh kittens!"

"Hey, we're not kittens," Wildkit huffed.

"Well i'm not, can't say the same for you Kat" Wilykit smirked.

"Hey"

Scorpia wanted to squee, and did, "You guys are so cute"

"So you're one of the new folks Lion-O took in, are you gonna help us fight Mumm-Ra?" Wilykat asked.

Scorpia blinked, "Well I uh, while I'm here I wanna help out anyone I can so uh...sure?"

The two kittens looked at each other and smiled.

"Wanna come on a tour of the town with us" Wilykit asked

Scorpia couldn't help but smile, they were too cute, "Sure!"

Adora took a bit of a walk through the so-called cat's lair while Catra took a bit of a cat nap.

Cats Lair was a bit like Brightmoon Castle, if a bit smaller.

Like Brightmoon though it too was one of the few safe bastions from the evils out there. This Mumm-Ra sounded a lot like Horde Prime. An evil tyrant who planned to destroy everything that was precious in this world, maybe even others. Etheria might be in trouble. Eternia as well. Something in Adora told her that she needed to stay, to fight, to help.

However sometimes that voice sounded a lot like Shadow Weaver saying it was her duty to make the sacrifice, and when that happened her ability to fight wavered.

Was Adora really to gung ho about things, it would be good to consume her.

No, she couldn't think like that, during some of her talks with Perfuma she learned about finding a balance. So she would find that balance between helping others and taking care of herself so Catra wouldn't get mad at her along with her other friends.

Balance, that's the key.

Still, what if this Mummy guy could get to Etheria.

What if he unleashed another war

What if everyone she knew turned evil.

"Everything alright Adora?"

"AH!" Adora turned around and saw Marlena behind her looking worried, "Oh Marl-Mom! H-How are yuh"

"Are you okay? She looked concerned,

Adora tried smiling to hide it, "Y-yeah, you know just a bit worried, finding Darla, getting off this place, and maybe looking for that First One tech that was here"

"It's odd, i've never heard of Third Earth in any of the old records from colony, but yet the energy reading i saw was very First One" Marlena said looking around the window, "But tales of Cats in space have been told by our people in the past"

"Yeah, cats, lots of cats-" Adora felt herself get a bit hot for a moment, good Etheria did she have a type?

"Strange, I do wonder how these cats go to this planet" Marlena replied, "The First One talked abou how the Cats were once space travelers"

Adora shrugged, "Hard to say guess we can ask Lion-O later"

Taking a deep breath, Adora looked outside wondering just what she was going to do, how they were gonna get out of this.

"HEY! MY TANK!"

Suddenly a large crash came from outside the cavern as the Thundertanks was being driven quite recklessly down the bridge, the one called Panthro cashing in it.

"What's going on out there?" Marlena asked.

Adora looked down to see a familiar looking pink haired princess driving the Thundertank while a skinny clone with blue hair held onto dear life.

"HANG ON DARLA, I'M COMING TO RESCUE YOU BABY!"

Adora sighed "Uh oh….We're in trouble"

-000-

Mumm-Ra, Ever Living Lord of Evil, Master of Third Earth, now was once again alone in his tomb.

Solitude was always his most preferred condition in life.

His war against the Thundercats had been wearing him thin. Mumm-Ra grew tired of fighting the descendants of the cats who had betrayed him so long ago. The reason he and every other animal was here on this miserable planet. Worse, his minions were an embarrassment, Slythe and his other mutant fiends were nothing more but failures. Morons at best.

At least he had Pumyra.

Pumayra had so far been his best general, proving that once again, so long as he had a cat by his side he would have a sharp tool to bring down any of his enemies. She had a third for conquest and violence. Vengeance was her only goal, vengeance against the young king Lion-O for leaving her behind. It would be a vengeance that Mumm-Ra was all so happy to fulfill for her.

The cats after all were his greatest tool of oppression and conquest in the ancient times, and one day perhaps they could be again. The ones he kept in places of power, for they were like him ,cunning, ruthless, and had a thirst for power. Sadly it seemed the latest seemed to lack that thirst. It would be lucky if he could find another cat who had that same thirst.

At least with the tech stone that would soon change. For its power will soon power his Pyramid, and once again he could return to the stars, to rebuild an Empire truly worthy of himself and more importantly worthy of his masters.

Going back to the mirror pool, he continued to look at the She-Ra and more interestingly the Clone. It had been many years since he had seen these enemies. Several millennia, when his own empire spread across the stars, and his name was known and feared by any who spoke it. Though seeing them here on Third Earth and more importantly, seeing them together, it made him just why they had come to this place.

Oh those were the days, when he and his armies marshaled against the universe. Horde Prime had been quite an opponent. A fellow conqueror, someone who was truly worthy of being a rival to his terrible power. He remembered the battles, as the fleets of ships both under their command bombarded one another. Massive space battles that would decimate stars. However Mumm-Ra was always able to push back. Besides, his thoughts were not just on conquest, but of obtaining the power stones.

"Why are they here?" Mumm-Ra muttered, "Why are my ancient enemies coming towards me again. Do they think that they can challenge my might and supremacy of this world? Even so, they shall learn to fear the power of...Mumm-Ra The Ever Living!"

With a wave of his hand an image of an old enemy, the self-proclaimed Emperor of the known Universe, Horde Prime appeared. It was a memory of a time long past.

"You were a worthy adversary Prime" Mumm-Ra smirked as he looked at the image, "One who came close to rivarling my own power. Do I consider you a sequel, no. No! No one can dare to equal the power of Mumm-Ra, but you've come close. But why is one of your so-called brothers here on this planet? Have you heard of my return? Do you fear me undoing your so-called light. As I came close to doing so many centuries past".

Mumm-Ra closed his eyes as he entered into memory

Millenia ago, when his Empire was in it's height, he remembered the war that broke out between him and the one called Horde Prime. Such a strange being, one who built his army from clones of his own self, instead of spreading his resources into creating all types of warriors, each with a specialized reason and hierarchy to exist. With him at the top of course.

Nevertheless Prime's forces proved most formidable, not only Clone but robot and other technological monstrosities .

Their two fleets had fought in massive battles, thousands of ships against thousands of ships. The Dark Pyramid and the Velvet Glove serve as their respective command stations as well as the flagship of their armadas. Mumm-Ra couldn't help but be impressed. Yet he realized that Prime himself hardly went into direct battle against any of his armies but remained cooped up on that space station of his. Thus it was imperative to find the station and besiege it.

Eventually they did, Mumm-Ra Pyramid along with the rest of his fleet decimated Prime's armies one by one. This is what having a bit more of a mix of forces allowed for in terms of an advantage in warfare. Each animal and peon, perfectly placed to serve a purpose.

"The clones are a fascinating species are they not Commander Leo?"

Leo looked to his master with confusion, "Uh…"

Mumm-Ra smirked, "You misunderstand, it is not one of respect I show, but of usefulness, if I could get my hands on just one of those clones I could perhaps use there genetic template to create something new, something that could win my war against all who oppose me...A new type of soldier, one that would be the key that I need to help me win my war against the universe".

"Ah, and what would this new soldier be like my Lord" Leo asked.

Mumm-Ra smirked, "I'll let your imagination fill in the gaps"

A alarm began to go off

"We are about to assault the Velvet Glove Lord Mumm-Ra" Commander Leon replied.

Mumm-Ra merely smirked, "No commander, I will go there ...Myself"

That was a battle for the ages.

In the present day Mumm-Ra opened his eyes and sighed.

"Do you seek revenge Prime" Mumm-Ra whispered to himself, "Do you once again think you can best me. Perhaps I will be able to take one of your clones and make my warrior that I longed for".

Suddenly the Dark Pyramid darkened as the eyes on the massive status glowed a bright red.

"Mumm-Ra, do you hear us Mumm-Ra

Mumm-Ra kneeled, "Yes, oh Ancient Spirits of Evil"

Very rarely did the Ancient Spirits of Evil come to him, they normally let him operate on his own accord. Only when great shifts in the balance of good or evil occured did the ancient ones intervene or directly partake in events. When they did it meant something.

"Horde Prime has long since gone, his Empire has fallen, destroyed, by the newest incarnation of a She-Ra"

"Then-" Mumm-Ra looked up in shock until he smirked, "Then there will be no one to oppose me, when I return to the stars" he let out a loud cackle that echoed through the chamber, once again the power of Mumm-Ra triumphed!

"Yes, but the She-Ra may be a threat to us, thus we will bring in someone who can aid you in this fight"

Mumm-Ra seemed taken aback, "Aid me? Masters, I do not require aid I will destroy her myself and-"

"SILENCE! You will heed our warning and we will bring you the aid you will need, a chance to defeat all our enemies in one swift stroke! Do you understand!"

"I-" Mumm-Ra clenched his fist and nodded, "I understand, ancient ones"

The idea of aid infuriated him, but he could not disobey the whims of the Ancient Spirits of Evil. However Mumm-Ra could not allow for another champion of evil to take his rightful place as the bringing of the evil ones will. He was destined to rule the universe, and no one else.

Mumm-Ra the Ever Living, answered to no one.

Except of course, the Ancient Spirits of Evil.
