Before I begin, I would like to clarify that this chapter occurs a week after the Grimm attack on Mistral, hope that clears things up.
Second, Blake is going to be getting a new outfit at the end of this chapter, an outfit that is focused on a certain type of warrior that is known for being covert agents and mercenaries during the 15th century in the land of the rising sun.
Third, it's time for the surprise with Ilia I have planned for you all. Hope you all enjoy it.

SunPhoenix90: Family Guy is a dumb show, in my opinion. Only thing that makes it funny is when the fat man gets hurt or hit in the nuts, he may be fictional, but he's a bad father figure. I grew up with some of those anime myself, but I do like some of the newer stuff they are coming out with, especially if it includes action and such.
54godamora: Yang will forgive Blake, like she did in canon. But as for Weiss getting impaled, that is not going to happen. But someone else will be impaled and won't die.
Hamm1999: I'm just going to use the original opening crawl with mentions of RWBY and the Star Wars Opening Theme, but I might change my mind. Never saw the Peanut's movie.

Chapter 72: Battle on Menagerie
Nighttime had fallen over Menagerie as Blake leaned against the railing on the balcony of her home. For weeks, she continued her training with Hanzo, Kasumi and Ryu while she, Sun, Rose and Zett continued to try and recruit the Faunus of the island to help them defend Haven from Adam's impending attack.
As expected, almost every single person on the island were willing to leave and fight against the White Fang for a place that the Human's built, save for a few people who joined up despite the words of their loved ones and friends.
Sienna's whereabouts to the White Fang members on the island was still a closely guarded secret and because of their appearance, Katooni and Gungi were able to walk around the island freely claiming that they were a rare type of Faunus that wasn't known to the rest of the world. The Gelb Team remained at the Menagerie Guard air base, assisting the pilots of the air guard with combat air patrols and scouting missions over the islands desert.
Fives, Jesse and Gregor maintained a constant watch for any signs of the White Fang members on the island, having been made aware by an unknown source that they were planning something big especially when it became clear that Ghira's messenger hadn't returned from Mistral.
Blake knew that the Albain brothers had something to do with the messenger's disappearance, but without concrete proof they couldn't bring them in. Luckily for Blake, Kasumi and Ryu were keeping a close eye on them and were on the lookout for the slightest hint ill intentions.
"Ilia… is this what you really wanted when you joined the White Fang? To be a terrorist instead of an activist? You always agreed with my father about living with humans, but now you claim that humans are the enemy. What made you change?" she asked herself, starring at the night sky.
"Hey Blake! You ready to go?" Sun called from inside her home.
"Be right there!" Blake called back before she felt a note taped to the wooden railing of the balcony. She grabbed it and read the message written down on it.

Blake looked around a bit before the door slide open, allowing Sun, Rose and Zett to walk through. "We going recruiting or what? We've got the entire nocturnal section to hit up!" Sun exclaimed. Blake didn't say anything, still having a concerned expression on her face, which the others noticed.
"Blake? You, okay?" Rose asked.
"Yeah, I'll meet you there. I need to take care of something first." Blake said and walked away dropping the note in the process. Zett picked it up and showed it to Rose and Sun. The three of them looked at each other before Zett and Sun went after Blake while Rose stayed behind, noticing a rustling in the trees behind them.
In darkened alleyway in Kuo Kuana, Blake called out for Ilia and cautiously drew her weapon. "I'm here." Ilia called out from the darkness and walked out with her hands up and dropped her camouflage. Blake tried to assure her old friend that she and her family would be able to protect her and stop the Albain twins, but just seconds after she made her promise that Yuma flew down from the rooftop behind her, knocking her to the ground and dropped her weapon.
She struggled to get back up as Yuma pressed his foot against her back, but to Blake's surprise the bat Faunus got off her only for spider silk to wrap itself around Blake as another Faunus, one with spider traits joined them. "I've got her." The faunus said.
"Well done, Sister Trifa- and you too, Ilia." Yuma praised, tossing Ilia her weapon back as several BX-Series Commando Droids emerged from the darkness, all bearing the mark of the White Fang. Yuma then turned to Blake. "It's a shame it had to turn out this way, Blake. But you and your family are holding the Faunus back. You claim to be protecting innocent people, but there is no such thing as innocent." He gloated to a struggling Blake.
Ilia watched the scene unfold before she spotted something out of the corner of her eye on the roof. "There are humans that still hate and abuse the Faunus and there are those who stand by and let the hate happen. You know what snuffs out hate? Fear and it's gotten us results." Yuma continued, not noticing Ilia's change in body language.
"And look where it's gotten our people! Everyone fears us! Humans! Even our own people! They fear us as nothing more than terrorists and those who crave war! All that's done is made things worse!" Blake shouted, struggling against her bindings.
"We all have to make sacrifices for the greater good, no matter how much it hurts us." Trifa said without any care. "Killing you isn't our goal but killing your family is. You'll be sent to Mistral. To Adam." She added, forcing Blake's expression to change to an afraid one on the verge of tears.
"I won't let you!" she shouted and turned to Ilia. "Ilia, please! You don't have to do this. This isn't you!" she begged.
"You're right. It's not me and it never will be." She declared before she turned her head to the roof. "Ryu! Now!" she shouted, surprising Yuma, Trifa and Blake along with the droids as Ryu leapt down from the roof and slashed at Blake's bonds, setting her free.
"Sister! What are you..." Trifa began before an unseen force pushed her back into the wall. Emerging from the shadows was Zett who ignited his lightsaber and dashed towards the commando droids, who opened fire on the young Jedi with Sun joining in, bashing the droids with his trusty staff. Yuma was still fazed by the revelation before Ilia and a free Blake punched him in the face.
"Traitor!" Yuma spat as he shrugged off the punch.
"I was never a part of Adam's group. My loyalty is too Sienna Khan and the beliefs of the Belladonna family!" Ilia declared.
"But your parents were killed in a Dust Mine accident! An accident the SDC did nothing to help those trapped inside! Are you saying that you forgive those damn human!?" Yuma snarled.
"My parents may have been left for dead by the Schnee Dust Company and the mine foreman! But at least there was one human who did all they could to save my parents. They may have died, but that human didn't just leave them to their fate!" Ilia countered, swinging her weapon at Yuma electrocuting him until he was out cold. "Grimm are one thing, but innocent people cross the line, and I will never cross that line." She stated.
"Anyone mind telling me what's going on? Are you telling me that Lizard Girl here is a double agent?" Sun asked, picking up a fallen blaster from one of the commando droids.
"We can talk later; we need to get to Blake's house now! Corsac and Fennec are leading the assault to kill her parents!" Ilia shouted, looking to Blake who nodded and followed after her old friend. Ryu, Zett and Sun followed after them.
At Blakes home, gunfire and blaster fire echoed through out the house as a table was knocked to the side as Kali, Rose, Fives, Jesse and two Menagerie Guardsmen took cover. "Get down!" the guard shouted, getting back up and fired back at the White Fang and droid forces, taking out one of the White Fang soldiers but was downed by a blaster shot. Their pistol was knocked to the side, which Kali picked up and started to fire back.
"Get out of my house!" she shouted, taking out a few of the attackers. "Ghira!" she called out in worry for her husband.
Her husband, along with Gungi, Gregor, Katooni and Sienna along with several other Menagerie Guardsmen were fending off more White Fang soldiers and droids in the entry hall. Gregor fired back with his DC-17 rifle taking down a few droids as did Sienna with her assault rifle. Katooni slashed the weapons of the White Fang soldiers in half while Gungi lifted one of them up and tossed them into their allies.
A pair of White Fang soldiers were about to fire at Ghira when one of them was struck by a Kunai in the back. "GET OVER HERE!" Hanzo roared and pulled the soldier over to him while Kasumi kicked the other soldier in the stomach, knocking them back into one of the pillars.
Another White Fang soldier tried to kick Ghira, but the large Faunus grabbed their foot and slammed them into a wall. He then dodged a sword slash from another trooper before that soldier was knocked out by Kasumi who then threw a series of shuriken at the weapons of several other White Fang soldier before she drew her own sword and slashed at the droids.
Ghira knocked out a third soldier that attacked him, hitting them in the diaphragm and slammed their head into the ground. "Go find my wife!" Ghira shouted to Katooni who dashed through the enemy droids slashing them apart. As another White Fang soldier approached the large Faunus, Ghira grabbed their wrist and the knife in their hand before tossing them aside. Another one of his guards was shot and killed. Ghira caught the guard's body and dropped it to the ground, wincing at his fallen comrade before growling as Corsac and Fennec arrived, their weapons drawn.
"I believe it's time our dear chieftain stepped down, brother." Corsac said.
"Yes brother, I'm afraid I'm inclined to agree." Fennec stated.
Gungi roared as he ignited his lightsaber as did Sienna while Ghira lets his claws out and ripped his coat off, bearing his fangs and made a feral growl at the two brothers, letting out a mighty roar. "You two are just as evil as Adam." Sienna growled, as Hanzo landed by her side.
"You lack honor and that will be your downfall." The ninja master added.
Ghira then began to leap around the entry hall, using his claws to hang from one of the pillars before he pounced on a White Fang soldier, clawing them down to the ground while a pair of droids charged at them with their vibroswords, but Ghira grabbed the blades lifting the two droids off the ground and tossed them into Fennec. Corsac's weapon began to glow red as the chieftain prepared launch one of the swords at Corsac, only for a fireball to be launched from fox Faunus's weapon just as Ghira threw one of the swords.
Both attacks hit their targets. Ghira's aura shimmered while Corsac was pinned to the wall by the hood. "Brother!" Fennec called out, activating his weapon which glowed white as a wind gust conjured from it was sent towards Ghira, who blocked the attack despite his feet dragging himself backwards a couple of feet.
A White Fang soldier with an assault rifle hiding behind a pillar took the opportunity to attack Ghira, only to be stopped when Sun burst through the window and knocked them down, followed by a series of throwing stars that knocked a droids aim off before Ilia blasted it with her borrowed blaster. "Traitor!" Fennec shouted.
"I was never loyal to you or Adam." Ilia clarified. She casted a glance to Sienna and smiled at the former High-Leader. Fennec and his brother growled before discarded their hoods and launched a combination attack of fire and wind towards Ilia, only for the attack to be blocked by Sun's staff. "Blake, go!" Ilia shouted.
"Hurry!" Sun called out.
Having loaded a fresh clip into her weapon, Blake jumped down from the terrace above the Albain twins dodging a fireball and wind attack, performing a three-point landing in front of them. Both brothers attempted to stab at her, but her ice Dust-enhanced semblance trapped their hands and weapons, leaping away from them to join her father, Sun and the others. "Dad! Where's mom?" she asked with urgency.
"I'm not sure, Sienna and I got ambushed right away. We didn't expect them to bring droids with them." Ghira answered.
"Once we take down Corsac and Fennec—" Blake started to say before Gregor interrupted her.
"There's no time for all of us to focus on these two. Ilia, Blake, myself, Ryu, Zett, Katooni, Gungi and Kasumi can go look for your mother. We'll leave these two for your father and the rest of us handle these assholes!" The Clone Commando spoke.
"But—" Blake began to protest.
"You keep assuring me your friend isn't a complete waste of space! Let's see him prove it." Ghira told his daughter.
"We got this, Blake. I've wanted to sock these creeps since the day we met!" Sun added in agreement as the two Albain twins freed themselves from the ice that held them down just as Blake and her group left the room. "I won't let you down, sir." Sun said to Ghira.
"Shut up." Ghira said bluntly to Sun.
"You got it!" Sun said in his usual tone.
"Today the two of you answer for the crimes you have committed, not just against humanity but against your own people." Sienna stated, holding her lightsaber tightly in her hands.
"The only destiny you have forged for your people is a destiny of hatred and bloodshed. All that ends today. I let go of my rage and it saved me long ago, but you two… your rage continues to burn. You must be stopped." Hanzo added, drawing his sword from his back. Both groups looked at each other before charging towards one another.
As her father and his allies began their battle, Blake and the others split up in different directions to search for Kali after a piece of the building came down in front of them, splitting the group in half. "Go and find Blake's mother, we'll find another way!" Kasumi shouted from the other side of the debris that separated them.
"Be careful." Gregor shouted back.
Blake and her group, which consisted of Kasumi, Zett, Ryu and Ilia made their way through a forked hallway, hearing the sounds of fighting to their right and proceeded down the left hallway into a large room. From above them, several dozen MagnaGuards dropped from above their staffs cracking with electricity and surrounded the group. The group was backed into a circle as the droids circled them, cutting off all possible means of escape, but they looked to each other and nodded before they leapt towards the droids that were once the bodyguard of the most fearsome Jedi Hunter the galaxy had ever known.
As this was going on, in the now darkened tea room, Kali and the others continued to fire back at their unseen attackers. Fives and Jesse were able to down their attackers with their night vision mode on their visors and called out enemies in the darkness, one of which Rose nailed with blast from her shotgun. "Bet 'cha you all thought I was just some dumb farm girl, didn't cha yeah?" she mocked to the White Fang soldiers as Kali's pistol ran out of ammo. Throwing the empty pistol down in annoyance, Kali picked up a tea tray to block another shot, which a wounded guard just stared at, dumbfounded.
"Do you have a better idea?" Kali asked the guard just as Yuma flew in and knocked the other guard down, wrapping his hands around the guard's throat and began to choke him out. His guard was let down when Kali, screaming a loud battle cry slammed the tray against Yuma's head, knocking him out just as Gregor and Katooni group arrived.
"Wow." Gregor said in amazement.
"That's why you never mess with a mother in her own home." Rose said impressively.
Back with Blake and her group, the MagnaGuards continued to circle around them before five of them dashed in separate directions luring several Magna Guards towards each of them. Ryu drew his sword and raised it to block the staffs of several droids, maintaining a defensive stance before he blocked another attack and kicked off one of the pillars and with a downward attack, slashed one droid right down the middle.
"If these droids are the best the White Fang can throw at us, then it appears they are more heavily armed than initially thought." Ryu observed as Kasumi skidded beside her cousin, thrusting her own sword into the center of another Magna Guard.
"Or more likely that Corsac and Fennec have something else up their sleeves." Kasumi added, slashing down another droid. "They probably cooked up some kind of story where it involves us humans being the ones attacking Blake's parents, saying that this was our plan all along and with Sienna among us, it makes it easier for them to take out both their targets."
"Very few people would believe that sort of story. They would ask questions and many of them would make the connection that they were responsible for the attack." Zett agreed, blocking a staff strike with his lightsaber, severing the arms of the droid holding the weapon reaching out with the force, grabbing the severed arms and launched them as improvised projectiles towards two other droids.
Blake and Ilia ran alongside each other with Ilia firing her blaster rifle while Blake blocked and kicked the droids away from her old friend. "This feels just like old times, Blake. You and me against the Grimm and the occasional Atlas and Schnee forces. Remember, Blake?" Ilia asked.
"Really? You mean aside from all the betrayal, lies and what not? I thought you actually believed in everything that Adam said about humanity needing to be destroyed and that the Faunus are superior to them." Blake shot back.
"That was all just a ruse. I needed Adam to believe that I was on his side so I could get close to him and figure out his plans. I had no intention on ever trying to destroy humanity. If you've already forgotten, it was a human who stepped in and brought my parents bodies out of the mine when it collapsed. I may hate the SDC, but I don't hate every single human." Ilia countered, firing a blast at one droid.
"I still don't know why you didn't tell me, Ilia." Blake asked, blocking a staff from another droid.
"I wanted to, Blake. Believe me, I wanted to. But I couldn't jeopardize my mission. Sienna was the one who gave me and Gregor the mission to investigate the base in the Round Table, so even if I wanted to tell you, I had my orders." Ilia relented, blasting down another droid with her blaster before it ran dry.
"I understand, Ilia. I would do the same thing." Blake answered, switching her sword to its pistol mode and fired several lighting shots at the droids. A majority of her shots slammed into the droids, short-circuiting them for few seconds before she slashed them apart. One MagnaGuard fired off a shot from its weapon which wasn't an E5 blaster rifle as many thought, but one of the rare Bulldog Rocket Launching Rifle's used during the war. The rocket exploded above the shrubbery at the top corner of the room, the flames spreading and starting to light up the room.
"Adam was right about one thing." Ilia stated and readied her own weapon, Lighting Lash. "When fighting against those who won't listen to us, the only choice left is to attack back! But not when it comes to civilians." She clarified, swinging her weapon and struck one of the droids, slicing it in half. "But there are always lines you should never cross."
"Then let's make sure that Adam doesn't succeed." Blake said in agreement, slashing three droids apart before she heard a rumble. Corsac was thrown through the wall, dropping his dagger as Ghira and Hanzo jumped into the room, the latter of who growled at the downed Albain twin before he noticed that Blake and her companions were surrounded.
"Blake!" he shouted only to cry out in pain and slumped towards the ground when Fennec stabbed him in the back.
"Dad!" Blake cried out, distracting her long enough for a droid to jab its staff into her back, shattering her aura. Ghira noticed this after he got Fennec off his back and tossed him towards his twin.
"Blake! Catch!" Ghira shouted and tossed a familiar object he had attached to his back the whole time towards his daughter before he pulled the dagger/wand out of his back and started to clash fists with Corsac.
Blake caught the lightsaber that her father had tossed her and stood tall and proud before she ignited its aqua blade, illuminating the room as her aura recharged. "It's about time I got to use one of these." Blake said to herself before she charged towards the droids.
Fennec charged at Ghira, but the chieftain managed to push off Corsac and dodged Fennec's swipes, beginning to fight both of them at once before Hanzo intervened and took on Corsac. Fennec dodged a swing then leapt at Ghira as Hanzo drove Corsac back, who's skills were no match for the ninja master. As Ghira defended himself, Fennec recovered from a recent blow and began to charge his weapon while the two of them continued to exchange blows. Ghira noticed this, grabbed his wrist holding the weapon and pointed it at Corsac who was blown back several feet and was knocked out. "Brother!" Fennec shouted before he charged at Ghira again, only for Sun to jump in and knock him away.
"Go help Blake!" Ghira shouted to Sun and Sienna who just arrived. Both Sun and Sienna pulled out their weapons and moved to engage the droids. Sienna, Zett, Katooni and Blake raised their lightsabers, blocking the enemy staffs using both their lightsaber training and sword training, waiting for an opening before they turned the droids into scrap metal.
Ryu and Kasumi continued to deflect enemy attacks while Sun split his staff into its nunchuck mode, twirling them around and unleashing a flurry of attacks that overwhelmed several droids allowing the two students of Scorpion to destroy them. "A ninja must always be at their best when facing the enemy." Ryu said before he spotted Ilia who was being overwhelmed by several droids, pushing her against a pillar which started to crack.
Fennec ducked under Ghira's claws before he blocked with his left arm, only to be punched back through the hole by Ghira's other hand while Hanzo blocked each of Corsac's punches, countering with a series of jabs and kicks towards the Fox faunus ribs.
Blake saw her friend's aura shatter and moved in between the droids and Ilia, blocking their attacks before taking out the droids with her lightsaber. She slashed at their heads, their arms, their torsos and their legs before they were reduced to scrap metal. Her victory was short lived when the pillar behind them started to crack even more and the balcony above her began to give way. Ilia was quick to push Blake out of the way, but she wasn't quick enough move out of the way herself, but that's when Ghira leapt in and lifted the broken part of the balcony with all his strength, but it was too much even for him.
As Ghira was forced down onto one knee, Sun activated his semblance and created two light clones which went and helped Ghira. None of them realized that Fennec had gotten back to his feet, grabbed both daggers and ran towards Ghira. Blake saw this and quickly tossed her weapon in its kusarigama form, wrapping the ribbon around her father's torso and pulled him out of the way as Fennec landed below the balcony, crushed to death and the Dust in the wands exploding from the impact.
Kali then entered with an unconscious Yuma, who had his hands tied behind his back with Rose, Katooni, Gungi, Gregor, Fives and Jesse with her. Dropping the unconscious Yuma, she gave her daughter a hug, but their embrace was interrupted when Corsac who finally managed to come around and saw his dead brother. "What have you done? You ruined everything… EVERYTHING!" he shouted darkly. Enraged by his brother's death, he grabbed a discarded electrostaff and turned his attention to Ilia. The older Albain charged towards the 'traitor' and was about to jab her with the staff when a blade pierced through his chest.
"GET OVER HERE!" Hanzo shouted and pulled the older Albain to him, who died from the lose of blood. "This is for all the lives you have killed in your damn crusade, human and Faunus!" Hanzo said to the dead Albain before the battle was finally over.
Outside the Belladonna home, a large crowd of Faunus had gathered outside noticing the smoke coming from the building. The guards were keeping everybody back while other guards entered the building looking for stragglers.
Emerging from the smoky doorway, Ghira walked out with carrying the motionless bodies of a White Fang soldier and a Menagerie guard on each of his shoulders. He handed the bodies to two other guards as Saber Rodentia arrived. "Get in there! Search for any stragglers!" he ordered as more guards walked out with the dead body of Corsac, followed by Blake, Rose, Ilia, Sun, Kali, Katooni, Gungi, Zett, Sienna and the three clones. "We came as soon as we got the call." Saber said to Ghira before he looked for Fennec. "And Fennec?"
Ghira sadly shook his head while Saber looked to the dead body of Corsac. "Was it worth it?" Saber snarkily asked the corpse.
As the commotion continued, Blake took a deep breath and walked down the steps, her father concerned for what she was about to do, only to be stopped by his wife. "Humans didn't do this. We did this: Faunus." She said pointing to the smoke coming from her home. "We did this to ourselves. We are just as capable of hate and violence as the humans, but I don't think any of us would jump at the chance to point that out. So why are we letting Adam do it for us?!" she added.
Sienna than took the turn to speak. "By doing nothing and staying silent, we let the others speak and act in our place. And if we're not proud of the choices they make, then we have no one to blame but ourselves. This is the message that Adam Taurus will bring to the world if no one stops him. But we can stop him! You have to understand that all of you are looking for simple answers to a very complicated problem. And we can't give that to you. I understand that to ask you and leave your homes and protect Haven Academy is asking you to put your lives at risk. But that's what at stake. So, we're going, and we'll stand by ourselves if we have to." The former high leader added.
"I'll stand with you!" Ilia voiced. "I won't allow Adam to start a war between our group and the humans when there is a bigger threat, we all have to face." She added.
Many of the crowd were murmuring amongst themselves before the man called Mata said he would go as well, followed by several other Faunus. Blake, her parents, Sun and the other worldly visitors smiled at each other before Sun mentioned that they had their work cut out for them and playfully pinching Ilia on her arm for stabbing him. "We have about a month before Adam's attack on Haven. We're going to need shields, training, whatever we can do to protect as many people as possible." Ghira pointed out.
"We'll need transportation too. For everyone." Kali added.
"I think I know a ship captain who owes us a favor." Blake said with a smile. Sun just grinned and nodded in agreement.
A few days later, at Hanzo's dojo, Sun, Rose, Ilia, Ryu, Kasumi and Zett waited outside the building as Hanzo had something to give Blake. The doors to the dojo slid open and out stepped Blake in her new combat attire.
She wore a purple and black shinobi shozoku with a fishnet shirt underneath the shozoku, a set of black armored tabi-styled boots, metal headband with a mask and hood along with a magnetic strap for her weapon. "Lookin good, Blake. You really look like a ninja now, especially considering your fighting style is a lot like them." Sun complimented.
Blake blushed under her hood at Sun's compliment, Ilia also nodded in agreement with a smile.
"You are now one of us." Ryu said with a bow, as did Kasumi.
"She has passed her final test and has earned the right to be a member of our clan, but her path lies elsewhere. With her friends and teammates. We all walk different paths in life, but our paths will always cross with one another at some point in time or another." Hanzo said.
"Adam better be prepared for a fight. We won't allow him to get away with blowin up Haven." Rose said in agreement.
"That is something else I wanted to talk about." Hanzo pointed out. "For many years, I have suspected that someone is giving the information and location of Huntsmen and Huntresses on jobs, many of whom have not returned."
"That means someone was waiting for them and laid an ambush." Zett hypothesized.
"The only one who has that information are the members of the council and I have a name. Leonardo Lionheart, the Headmaster of Haven." Hanzo said.
And chapter is finished.
For those of you who are wondering, Ilia was working as Sienna's spy in Adam's faction. She does still hate the Schnee Dust Company because of the mining accident that killed her parents, but she does not hate all of humanity. This is largely in part due to a random Jedi who made their way to Remnant prior to Order 66. They were also the one who brought the bodies of Ilia's parents out of the mine after it collapsed when no one else would, showing her that all humans are not as heartless and cruel as those in the SDC.
Blake's new attire is the ninja outfit worn by Lisa Hamilton in Dead Or Alive 5. Figured I'd give her an outfit based on her combat style and this was the result.
Corsac and Fennec are dead, and Hanzo has named Lionheart as an enemy.
