Ladies and Gentlemen, fanfiction readers of all types! I, CT7567Rules and proud to present the moment you have all been waiting for in Remnant Unleashed. We now move onto the events of Star Wars: Episode IV: A New Hope.

Before we begin, I would like to mention that the events of the movie will stay the same for the most part, but there will be some changes in the chapters I will publish especially since I have several characters from RWBY involved with the rebellion and of course, Galen Marek himself.

Now, onto the reviews.

All Hail Lord Megatron: Good to hear from you again. I was wondering if you had been keeping up with my story.

Luffy L Deathwalker: Volume 6 is a couple of chapters away, but you have given me several ideas for Volume 6. Yang's lightsaber will be getting an upgrade, but that doesn't mean she's force sensitive. Now, Miss Malachite will be telling someone about Ruby's group, but it isn't Cinder since she is dead. No, it's someone who many of us have not forgotten.

Guest Reviewer Reader: Thanks.

Silverfox3456: First, I haven't fully decided about including the events of the Empire Strikes Back or Return of the Jedi. Depending on what Rooster Teeth does with RWBY, I'll consider the possibility. The Battle of Haven may be over, but like you said, Salem still has her droid army and of course she has allies such as Maul, Watts and Tyrian. As for Galen helping the rebellion, I gave you the names of the other two that are going with him.

Guest: Thanks.

Spartan-626: Thank you. Yang knows better to mess around with a lightsaber, but it won't be a Sith Lightsaber for long. It will become a true lightsaber. I figured that I would have Bane kill Lionheart since, being the bounty hunter, he is he doesn't like loose ends.

A fan of PF: The Phineas and Ferb Star Wars special? That one's good, it's the Family Guy ones I hate the most.

Cloudrush: You have a lot of questions, so I'll answer a few of them. First off, the Fall Maiden powers were sent to Kara because Cinder planned on killing and torturing her once she acquired the Spring Maiden Powers. Second, Pyrrha didn't receive any of the Fall Maiden powers when she was in the pod. Cinder was able to get all of the power before the transfer could fully begin. She just choose to try kill Pyrrha for sport.

54godamora: Yep! And it's going to be epic. Or at least as epic as I can write it.

BlindFaunusgirl: Glad you enjoyed it and I am glad you agree with me about giving the Maiden powers to Kara. I've been trying to make sure that I don't make any characters in my stories OP, since I think that was a big issue in my Lone Wolf stories. Obi-Wan will be certainly take notice of Ruby's progress when next they meet.

Monster King: Thanks.

Sorarocks531: Yes, I did say I hate serial killers, but I love killing them off because it's what they deserve. The anime version of Akame Ga Kill actually didn't follow the manga because the manga was not completed in time, from what I have heard. You hate guys like him to, I agree completely, especially psycho's like a certain drug dealing, weapons smuggling and aggressive character that operates out of a Blaine County trailer park. Anyway, I hope you like my other chapters.

Alright, reviews are finished, let's get on with the show.

Disclaimers are the same as always. Please enjoy.

Chapter 77: A New Hope: Part 1

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away…

Star Wars: Remnant Unleashed

A New Hope

It it's a period of civil war. Rebel Spaceships, striking from a hidden base have won their first victory against the evil Galactic Empire.

During the battle, Rebel spies managed to steal secret plans to the Empire's ultimate weapon, the Death Star, an armored space station with the fire power to destroy an entire planet.

Pursued by the Empire's sinister agents, Princess Leia and her bodyguard race home aboard her starship, custodian of the stolen plans that can save her people and restore peace and freedom to the galaxy, with the help of one of the most powerful warriors in the galaxy…

Nineteen years ago, the Empire came into power from the ashes of the Clone War. The newly proclaimed Emperor declared the Jedi Knights, the guardians of peace and justice in the galaxy traitors. With the Republic under his control, the Jedi have been all but eliminated from the face of the galaxy.

Ruling with an iron fist, the Empire crushed any hopes of freedom the people of the galaxy desired, but small bands of rebels continued to attack the Empire, some with the help of several Jedi who came out of hiding.

These bands of rebels came together, vowing to defeat the Empire, restore the Republic and restore peace to the galaxy. Originally, they were brought together by the individual known as Starkiller, the secret apprentice of the Emperors right hand so that they would be wiped out. They only succeeded in creating the rebellion, thanks to the 'sacrifice' of Starkiller.

For months, the rebellion continued to build up their strength and scored only small victories against the Empire, but that changed when their founder returned from the planet Remnant, deep within the unknown regions along with the remains of the clone army and several Jedi. Major victories against the Empire boosted the moral of the Rebellion and gave the oppressed people of the galaxy hope.

Now, within the reaches of the Outer Rim, a skirmish was taking place between the rebellion and the Empire. The planet Tatooine emerged from a total eclipse as a CR90 Corvette sped towards the planet firing back as a massive Imperial-I class Star Destroyer pursued it, firing back at one another with their turbo lasers.

Green and red turbo laser flew back and forth between the two ships, but a shot from the Imperial ships weapons scored a hit on rebel ship, directly near the main reactor causing the entire ship to shutter and shake. Inside the ship, R2-D2 and C-3P0 struggled through the shaking ship as Rebel soldiers rushed about. Another explosion shook the ship once more as the two droids continued down the corridor.

"Did you hear that?" Threepio asked his counterpart who beeped in response. "They've shut down the main reactor! We'll be destroyed for sure. This is madness!" the droid continued as more rebel soldiers took up defensive positions by the entrance, aiming their DH-17's. "We're doomed." Threepio stated, while Artoo beeped. "They'll be no escape for the princess this time."

Tensions began to mount as a loud clank was heard throughout the ship. "What's that?" Threepio asked. The clanking was from the sound of the Star Destroyers tractor beam as it pulled the corvette into the underside hanger of the ship and extended its portable access way for the boarding party.

Sparks flew from the door as the Rebel soldiers kept their focus on it before it was blown up by a tremendous blast as Stormtroopers of the 501st Legion made their way into the smoke-filled corridors, firing their E11's at the rebels who fired back in retaliation, lighting up the entire passageway. The imperial forces continued to move through out the ship, as the brave rebel soldiers continued to fight back against the imperial forces who moved about and cleared the ship.

As the firefight continued, Darth Vader himself entered the ship and took part in the battle, destroying the security terminals on the bridge and further disabling the ship while memories of his former life as Anakin Skywalker flooded his mind, specifically the death of his mother.

During the confusion, Artoo and Threepio took advantage of the confusion, slipping away until they were separated. Artoo however managed to find his way to Princess Leia who gave the blue and silver astromech the stolen plans for safe keeping.

Threepio was soon reunited with Artoo who panicked about their fate if they were captured, but Artoo headed in the direction of the escape pods while Leia stayed behind to hold off the imperial soldiers.

At the same time, in the cargo hold of the ship a single Stormtrooper searched for rebel soldiers that were possibly hiding amongst the cargo but found nothing, or so they thought. From high on the catwalk, Pyrrha Nikos leapt down onto the imperial soldier and knocked their blaster rifle away before she punched the trooper several times, knocking their helmet off allowing her to snap the troopers neck. Pulling the body into one of the service ducts, she stripped the body of its armor and put it on her body, before she swallowed a vocal emulator. "Ugh, this will take some getting used to… but at least I can still protect the princess, even if I am disguised as the enemy. I just have to play the part of an imperial soldier well enough so no one will figure out I'm a rebel soldier." She said to herself, gagging briefly as the emulator affixed to her larynx, making her sound like a Stormtrooper. She quickly picked up 'her' rifle and joined up with several other troopers who came to investigate her lack of communications.

By this time, the remaining rebel soldiers had surrendered and were being escorted onto the imperial cruiser as imperial droids scoured the ships computers for any signs of the missing plans, only to find nothing. "The Death Star plans are not in the main computer." The commander of the boarding party reported to Vader who was holding Captain Raymus Antilles by the neck.

"Where are those transmissions you intercepted? What have you done with those plans?" Vader demanded, lifting the rebel captain up higher into the air.

"We intercepted no transmissions. This is a consular ship. We're on a diplomatic mission." Antilles answered weakly as Vader's grip tightened around his neck.

"If this is a consular ship, where is the ambassador?" Vader questioned but Antilles refused to answer, so he crushed his neck and tossed the body aside. "Commander, tear this ship apart until you have found those plans and bring me the passengers! I want them alive!" Vader angrily ordered.

The troops of the 501st carried out his orders to the letter and began to scour the ship for any of the passengers and the plans. This brought them into contact with Leia who killed one of the troopers searching the ship, only to end up getting captured by the boarding party after she was stunned. When she came too, she was brought before Vader himself. "Darth Vader. Only you could be so bold." Leia commented. "The Imperial Senate will not sit still for this. When they hear you attacked a diplomatic ship-"

"Don't ask so surprised, your highness." Vader interrupted. "You weren't on any mercy mission. Several transmissions were beamed up by rebel spies. I want to know what happened to the plans they sent you."

"I don't know what you're talking about. I'm a member of the Imperial Senate on a diplomatic mission to Alderaan." Leia replied.

"You are part of the Rebel Alliance and a traitor! Take her away!" Vader snapped, leaving him alone with Commander Daine Jir.

"Holding her is dangerous. If word if this gets out, it could generate sympathy for the rebellion in the senate." The commander voiced in concern.

"I have traced the rebel spies to her. Now she is my only link to finding their secret base." Vader stated.

"She'll die before she'll tell you anything." Jir admitted.

"Leave that to me. Send a distress signal and then inform the senate that all aboard were killed." Vader replied, passing a disguised Pyrrha who managed to keep her thoughts and feelings hidden thanks to the special training she was given by Plo Koon in order to mask herself from those connected to the force.

As the two passed each other, Commander Nahdonnis Praji stepped in. "Lord Vader. The battle station plans are not aboard this ship and no transmissions were made. An escape pod was jettisoned during the battle, but no lifeforms were aboard." He reported.

"She must have hidden the plans in the escape pod." Vader said impressed by the Princesses deception before he turned to Praji. "Send a detachment down to retrieve them. See to it personally, commander. There'll be no one to stop us this time." Vader ordered.

"Yes sir." Praji replied as the massive imperial ship and it's captured cargo while assigning the local garrison on the planet below to conduct the search for the escape pod, before making the jump to Hyperspace, seconds before the Rogue Shadow dropped out of hyperspace.

Inside the modified imperial transport, Galen Marek the former apprentice of Darth Vader and now Jedi Knight, his girlfriend Ruby Rose, the leader of Team RWBY from Beacon Academy, Jaune Arc, leader of Team JNPR and Clone Marshall Commander Cody, a clone trooper, veteran of the Clone Wars and leader of the 212th attack battalion scanned the planet for any signs of their allies. "I don't know if I'm reading the scanners right, but it doesn't look like we're picking up the Tantive IV." Jaune called out.

"I don't sense Pyrrha either, but she was here." Ruby added.

"They must have run into trouble. The Empire must have tracked them and intercepted them, probably captured the entire ship and crew. My guess, they'll probably cover it up and say the ship was destroyed by pirates or other means." Cody theorized.

"I am detecting movement from the local imperial garrison stationed on the planet." Proxy reported. "It appears that they are tracking an escape pod that was jettisoned during the encounter with the rebel ship and believe that it is carrying the stolen Death Star plans."

"I knew it. The finished building that space station. I can't believe they would actually build something like that. It must have cost a lot of credits to build, unless the Empire taxed its citizens and used the funds to build it." Galen realized, remembering when he fought his way through numerous imperial forces to save the lives of Bail, Kota and other rebel supporters two years ago.

"So, what do we do? We were supposed to rendezvous with that corvette but if it's not here, then we need to do something." Ruby asked.

"We complete the second part of our mission. We find General Kenobi and bring him to Alderaan. Senator Organa will want to debrief him in person." Cody suggested. The others agreed and figured it would be best to land at the Mos Espa spaceport. "Proxy, once we've landed head back to base, we'll find our own way off planet once we find the general."

"Understood, Commander." Proxy replied as Galen took the ship into the atmosphere in the direction of Mos Espa.

After landing in the space port and sending the Rogue Shadow back to base, the four headed into town wearing ponchos to keep themselves from being noticed by any Imperial sympathizers or the local imperial garrison which they noticed was far more active then usual and actively checking the credentials of everyone in town, forcing them to find another way out of the settlement.

Luckily for them, they found a way out with two XP-38 landspeeders they bought for thirty-five hundred credits and managed to bypass the checkpoints without the imperials noticing, but that was the only luck they had.

The speeders were used and in very poor condition when their engines finally died out, stranding them in the middle of the Jundland Wastes, roughly sixty-eight kilometers away from Mos Espa. By now, dusk was starting to come down and soon the Sand People would be out looking for lost travelers and anything they could bring back to the tribes. "Not how I expected this day to turn out." Jaune groaned, drinking some water from his canteen. "Stranded in the desert, no transport and possibly about to die with hostile wanderers about to take a pot shot at us."

"Be glad the General didn't hide on Umbara. The native fauna are extremely deadly." Cody said, remembering when several troopers were eaten by several plants. "Why the General decided to hide out here is beyond me, but I'm sure he has his reasons."

"Whatever those reasons are, we need to get moving. The Sand People will be out soon, and I think the Empire might have caused them to become restless, or someone's taking trains out into their territory and hunting them for sport." Galen stated, grabbing what little supplies they bought before leaving the settlement, loading them into his backpack before starting off in the direction he felt Obi-Wans presence through the force. Ruby, Jaune and Cody followed after him, leaving the landspeeders behind, where shortly after they left several Tusken Raiders stripped the speeders for anything that could be useful for their tribe.

By the time darkness fell over the desert, the group had set up camp in a cave amongst the Hubba heights region of the Jundland wastes. Jaune had started fire while Ruby prepared some rations that they had brought with them. "It's a lot different than trekking all across Anima to Mistral." Jaune commented. "We had to deal with Grimm, bandits, droids and of course Salem's followers."

"I still can't believe that Lionheart sold out his students, teachers, even the kingdom for Salem. I don't understand how anyone could work for her." Ruby said in agreement. "At least Hazel decided to change sides and help us. I don't understand why Salem murdered his sister, what did she have to gain from it all? There's still a lot we don't understand or even know about her. You think Ozpin is telling us everything he knows about her?" she asked.

"If Ozpin has anything else to tell us, he'll tell us when we need to know." Galen spoke, taking a seat by the fire. "I sensed he was keeping some things hidden from us, but there's no reason to pry him for those answers. If there's something else, we'll handle in when the time is right."

"The kids right. Right now, our focus should be on contacting General Kenobi and recovering the plans before the Empire does. We'll focus on Salem and her followers when we get back to Remnant." Cody agreed, his helmet removed and by his side. "Kenobi and I have been through some of the toughest battles during the Clone War and I learned a lot from him, Skywalker and Tano. They were true friends and comrades, those I was proud to fight alongside during the war."

"You must have seen a lot during the war." Jaune noted.

"I saw a lot during the war, Jaune. Both the good and bad, but the one thing I learned through it all is that trust is key to fighting a war. A soldier has to trust in his allies and leaders, that's the key to leading an army." He admitted.

"Wise words were never spoken, old friend." A new voice said from the cave entrance and startled everyone. "Its good to see you again, Cody."

"It's been a long time, General." Cody said with a smile.

"General?" Jaune questioned as the individual walked into the cave and their tattered robes were illuminated by the fire before they removed their hood, showing the face of an old Obi-Wan Kenobi. "Wait, you're Obi-Wan?"

"That I am, Jaune Arc." Obi-Wan answered. "I believe we should discuss things back at my abode. The Sand People are out and about right now, and they will no doubt be drawn to the fire." he offered. The group wasn't about to turn down Obi-Wans offer and followed him back to his home, deciding it would be best to discuss matters in the morning.

When morning came, Obi-Wan was told about everything that happened since the last time he saw Ruby and Galen. The return of the Malevolence, Galen earning the title of The Demon Lord, the Vytal Festival and Imperial invasion, Salem, the new Grimm she created, Maul, the journey to Mistral and the defense of the city, Cinder's death, Lionhearts betrayal and everything else that had transpired. "It appears that you've all have been through a lot the last time I saw any of you. It troubles me that Maul has returned and has given this Salem women new Grimm based on some of the dangerous lifeforms in the galaxy. I am surprised to here that there are several other Jedi who survived the Purge." Obi-Wan stated.

"Master Kenobi," Ruby began. "Ahsoka knows about Vader and Anakin."

"I know. I sensed it through the force. I should have told her the truth when I last saw her." Obi-Wan said, disappointed in his own actions. "Now then, I have sensed that you've become stronger in the force, young Ruby and you Mr. Arc still have much to learn about the ways of the force."

"I haven't really had a lot of time to learn the ways of the force, considering all that's happened." Jaune admitted sheepishly, rubbing the back of his head. "I've been trying to learn on my own, but…"

"Perhaps the advice of an old Jedi Master would be of assistance. The Sand People and Empire are still combing the desert and if you were spotted now, it would cause a great deal of problems for your mission. The best thing to do now, is to wait." Obi-Wan suggested.

"Well, it's better than wandering aimlessly around the wastes." Galen agreed.

"Not going to argue with that order, General." Cody also agreed.

"Now then, Ruby, Jaune. Why don't the two of you head down to the basement and activate the remotes, I would like to talk with Galen about something." Obi-Wan told the two Jedi from Remnant. Both Jaune and Ruby did as Obi-Wan instructed, leaving Galen and Cody alone with Obi-Wan. "I assume you have questions for me?"

"More like a hundred, General." Cody clarified. "Why are you hiding on this planet? What's so important that Senator Organa reported you killed during the purge? Is there something else that we don't know about?"

"I'm hiding here, Cody, because I am ensuring the safety of the hope that the galaxy needs." Obi-Wan answered. "You may not know this, but Anakin had a son before he turned to evil. A son who he has no knowledge of, even as Vader."

"You're protecting a kid?" Galen questioned.

"He was hidden after birth to keep the Emperor from turning him to the dark side, like his father. He doesn't know about his father, but he is much like Anakin in many ways. He is strong in the force and a skilled pilot, however his uncle has tried to keep his isolated and hasn't told him about his true heritage. One day, he will learn of his heritage." Obi-Wan explained.

Galen understood Obi-Wans point, in a way, Anakin's son was a lot like him when he was kept in the dark about his own heritage when he was Vader's apprentice.

"Come now, let's see your friends and their training." Obi-Wan urged and led them to the basement.

For the rest of the day, Obi-Wan observed Jaune and Ruby's progress and was quite impressed with their skills, especially with Ruby having created her own lightsaber using one of the sabers that Galen once wielded. Jaune on the other hand, still had much to learn but was showing great improvement when it came to his knowledge of the Force, his skills with a lightsaber on the other hand were on a skill that rivaled Yoda or Mace Windu.

The following day, Obi-Wan sensed something was wrong and headed towards the Hubba Heights with the other four following him. What they found was a group of Tusken Raiders ransacking a XP-34 Landspeeder for parts and supplies while the owner of speeder, a blonde-haired boy wearing farm clothing was unconscious on the ground.

Too the surprise of Galen, Ruby, Jaune and Cody, Obi-Wan pulled back his hood and walked towards the Sand People, imitating the roar of a mighty Krayt Dragon a creature that lived on Tatooine and scared the Sand People, scarring them away. "That's why he's a Jedi Master." Galen smirked as he and his comrades followed after Obi-Wan.

From a hidden alcove, Artoo watched as Obi-Wan knelt down to check the boy's pulse, beeping in concern which Obi-Wan noticed. "Hello there. Come here my little friend, don't be afraid." Obi-Wan greeted the astromech who waddled over to where the boy was. "Don't worry, he'll be alright." Obi-Wan assured.

The boy soon started to stir as he woke up, opening his blue eyes. "Rest easy, son. You've had a busy day. You're fortunate you're still in one piece." Obi-Wan told the boy.

"Ben? Ben Kenobi! Boy, am I glad to see you." The boy remarked with relief as he stood up. He then noticed the others with him.

"The Jundland wastes are not to be traveled lightly." Obi-Wan commented. "Tell me young Luke, what brings you out this far?"

"Oh, this little droid. I think he's searching for his former master. I've never seen such devotion in a droid before." Luke responded. "He claims to be the property of an Obi-Wan Kenobi. Is he a relative of yours? Do you know who he's talking about.

"Obi-Wan Kenobi. Obi-Wan? Now that's a name I've not heard of in a long time. A long time." Obi-Wan said.

"I think my uncle knows him. He say's he dead." Luke replied.

"Oh, he's not dead… not yet." Obi-Wan admitted.

"So, you know him?" Luke asked.

"Well of course he knows him. He is Obi-Wan Kenobi." Galen revealed.

"Young Galen is correct. I haven't gone by the name Obi-Wan since the day you were born." Obi-Wan replied.

"Then the droid does belong to you." Luke theorized, gesturing to Artoo.

"Don't seem to remember ever owning a droid before. Very interesting." Obi-Wan commented, casting a glance at the faithful droid.

Luke then turned to Galen and his companions. "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't introduce myself. I'm Luke Skywalker." Luke introduced.

Galen, Ruby, Jaune and Cody stood silent for moment, confusing Luke before Ruby cleared her throat. "Oh, sorry about that. Ah, my name's Ruby Rose. This is Jaune Arc, Cody and my boyfriend, Galen Marek." Ruby introduced.

"Nice to meet you all." Luke replied before he glanced at Cody. "Are you a Mandalorian?" he asked.

"In a manner of speaking, yes." Cody answered, knowing that this wasn't the place to talk about who he really was.

"What are you all doing way out here? You're not chasing after a droid too, are you?" he asked. Before anyone could answer, Obi-Wan looked at the overhanging cliffs, hearing the cries of several individuals.

"I think we better get indoors. The Sand People are easily startled, but they'll soon be back and in greater numbers." Obi-Wan suggested. The others agreed, but before they could leave, Artoo let out a beep, reminding Luke about someone else who was with him.

"Threepio!" Luke exclaimed.

"He's here too?" Ruby questioned silently, following after Luke who found the golden protocol droid lying half buried in the sand and with one of his arms broken off his body. Luke flipped a switch and turned the droids' systems back on.

"Where am I? I must have taken a bad step…" the droid theorized.

"Can you stand up? We've got to get moving before the Sand People return." Luke asked.

"I don't think I can make it. You go on without me, Master Luke. There's no sense of you risking yourself on my account. I'm done for." Threepio responded, but Luke wasn't having it and loaded the damaged droid onto his speeder and followed Obi-Wans directions back to his hut, with Galen, Ruby, Jaune and Cody following them.

And that's the first part of A New Hope completed.

Please keep in mind that, I won't be including everything from the movie. Just the important parts of the movie, which includes the Battle of Yavin 4 with extra players. Speaking of which, should I have Biggs survive and become a part of Rogue Squadron, or have him die like in canon?

Anyway, Pyrrha has disguised herself as a Stormtrooper and infiltrated the Imperial ranks, while Leia has been captured. Galen, Ruby, Cody and Jaune have met up with Obi-Wan again, gave him a rundown about what has happened on Remnant since their last visit and have met up with Luke.

Until next time, please read and review. Oh and if you all have anything like clothing, food and such, find it in your hearts to send it to the Ukrainian Refugees who have lost so much because of the Russian invasion.
