Hope everyone had a good forth of July weekend. I know I did, I got to see a lot of my family, but at the same time it was also kind of sad since it's the first 4th of July I've had without my grandma. I miss her a lot and I really wish I got to spend more time with her.
Still, my family loved the trifles I made this time, it's one of their favorite desserts to have at these family events/holidays. Shame that my brother, Earth Dragon Arnighte didn't attend, he's very ridged with his schedule and hates when something interferes with his schedule, like traffic or delays when it comes to getting home after a long day's work.
Anyway, I'm pretty sure many of you have been watching RWBY: Ice Queendom and I have to say, it's pretty good, but I still like the original RWBY. Speaking of RWBY, according to Rooster Teeth, volume 9 is scheduled to air sometime early next year. I hope for their sake, the volume actually gives us some answers to certain questions that many of us have had on our mind after the last two volumes, like if Salem was really telling the truth about killing Summer Rose.
Second, I have been having the notion to start watching Naruto after many years of ignorance. Don't get me wrong, I hear it's good and all that, but there are too many fanfictions regarding that series, many of which are harems and I'm not into harem stories that involve lemons, period. That and I prefer anime like Black Lagoon, Golgo 13, Gundam and Fairy Tale, but I might just watch it because I'm curious about what I've missed.
Third, I've been thinking about bringing in the girls from the Strike Witches anime and Brave Witches as pilots of Sicario PMC for a certain part before I reach volume 7, not sure how long that's going to take, but I'll be using them. Like I said way back, I want to give Remnant a fighting chance against the Empire, especially since they have a plan in the works for Remnant.
Alright, enough of that. Onto the reviews.
Silverfox3456: That is true, about abandoned mines and enemies that can turn invisible in video games, but you have to admit, it's cool when it comes to the Predator and the Elites from Halo, well when the Elites are on the players side.
Spartan-626: Yeah, Jacque will have a lot to answer for in Volume 7. As for Able, I figured I'd bring him in as a thanks to Jack Smith1.
Hamm1999: I guess you could say New Argus is a lot like Las Vegas, but it's a coastal city like Los Angeles as well as Las Vegas. I guess I could bring in the Courier from New Vegas, since that's one of my favorite Fallout Games, mostly because of the weapons and armor. Chris Pratt as his voice actor, interesting idea.
Luffy L Deathwalker: No, it's not Tyrian, you had one of your guesses right the first time, but I won't spoil who it is. Never heard of RWBY Arrowfront until now. As for Barriss and Mara, they'll appear in a few chapters.
SunPhoenix90: True, but Qrow is still drowning his sorrows due to his failure at the farm, so he won't be going to New Argus. Yeah, I agree with what you said about Yang, but then again she is only teasing her baby sister. Trust me, Able is going to be in for a shock when it comes to learning about what he missed. About the grenade/mine thing, you just reminded me about something one of my teachers told me about something that happened to a friend of hers when she was growing up. Let's just say, it's not something I want to talk about.
BlindFaunusGirl: Yes, well it's better than trying to sneak into Atlas and get a criminal record. Plus, this way Caroline won't be wasting that mech of her on something insignificant as a couple of kids trying to save the world. Glad you liked the mine battle and like I said to Spartan-626, Jacque will have a lot to answer for.
54godamora: Thanks, though I'm pretty sure I already said this, but it was the Clone Wars micro series that got me into characters like Fordo. Now as for the dress for Weiss, I think I'll be using the one that Cinder wore at the Beacon dance, but in her colors since someone else will be wearing Cinder's infiltration outfit/evening gown.

Alright onto another chapter and the return of another character from the Clone Wars. The one from Onderon.

Chapter 93: The General
An empty freight train sat on a siding just outside the Argus main station, it's crew impatient from the constant waiting. They were given orders by central to head to one of the settlements that lived along the coast to collect supplies needed to repair the damages from the Grimm attack in Mistral several weeks ago, now that the line to Mistral was finally repaired after only a day of closure. Their cargo was waiting for them at their destination, but they hadn't been given the signal to proceed considering the current situation regarding the missile strikes, Grimm and Battle Droids. The crew knew that they couldn't proceed with the danger ahead of them, but they didn't like all the waiting around and doing nothing.
They didn't have to wait long for further down the coastal route that ran to New Argus, Jaune, Ren, Nora and their team were engaging the enemy units at the very moment. A squad of Super Battle Droids equipped with rocket launchers opened up on Cody, Waxer, Boil and Alpha, keeping the clones pinned down as Engineer Battle Droids started to place explosives on a section of track that traveled over a deep ravine by a truss arch bridge. "We could use some assistance here! We're pinned down by droids!" Cody shouted as a shot from one of the enemy rocket launchers impacted the ground near them, sending up a cloud of snow and dirt. "We've got to stop them from blowing up the bridge!"
Nora heard his shouts as she smacked an Ursa down with her mighty hammer. She swung her hammer again and used a blast to propel herself over the Super Battle Droids, landing behind them before she smacked them away towards Lop who, with a green lightsaber in her hand carved the droids up like they were made of nothing. "Go get 'em, Commander! I've got more baddies to blast!" Nora shouted with enthusiasm as she switched her hammer to its launcher mode and fired off a couple of rounds at the droids on the other side of the bridge. Her rounds were lighting dust electrocuted the droid snipers on the other side of the bridge, shutting them down. "I can do this all day!" she cackled.
"You're the one with the grenade launcher! Of course, you would say that!" Lop pointed out as she carved through a couple of Ursa's with her families prized heirloom, a lightsaber. Her weapons green blade cleaved the arm off another Ursa before she reached out and sent a third one flying into the ravine where it died from the fall. "To think, that my abilities are not a semblance, but a power used by the warriors who have come from the stars, just like my father and sister." She said to herself letting her guard down long enough for a droid to get off a lucky shot that hit her in the leg. Her aura shimmered as she took damage and grunted in pain. "Great, I let my guard down again. I really need to be more focused." She grunted, leaping backwards in a series of flips before she landed on the tracks.
As she landed, several MSDF HMVs and APC's from the nearby base pulled to a stop as the soldiers piled out of the vehicles and began to open up on the hostiles. Now that they were no longer held down by the grip of corruption in the Mistral council, they could carry out their duties without all the roadblocks. Bullets from several machine gunners ripped through multiple Grimm as they crossed the bridge as Zett flipped over their heads and slashed through the droid engineers. "Get some men up here and disarm these charges!" he shouted, deflecting a shot from an enemy sniper back at the shooter.
As the charges were CIS based, Cody and his brothers were the only ones who could disarm the charges, so they wasted no time in rushing to the bridge. The demo charges were set to blow in only a matter of minutes so Waxer and Boil had to work fast in disarming the charges while Cody and Alpha kept the enemy pinned down with a concentrated barrage of blaster fire. "Hurry up you two! We've got tanks inbound!" Cody shouted as he spotted several incoming GAT's from the other side of the bridge.
Before the droids got into position, a pair of MSDAF F35's dived in for an attack run firing their 25mm cannons at the droids and Grimm, leaving a wake of destruction in their path and surprisingly left the train tracks intact. "Where did that air support come from!? We didn't call in an air strike!" one of the MSDF soldiers questioned before a swipe from a pair of claws slashed through their uniform, causing a great deal of bleeding from the wound. "Damn it! I'm hit!"
"Get them out of there!" Cody shouted, gunning down the Grimm that almost killed the soldier. Blue blaster bolts from his DC-15A vaporized the Grimm as Ren leapt over and slashed through the Grimm with the blade ends of his automatic pistols. "Ren! Lay down covering fire! We've got to get the wounded out of here!"
"Understood, Commander." Ren replied, pulling the triggers of his pistols and unleashing dozens of bullets at the hostiles crossing the bridge as Waxer and Boil continued to disarm the last of the charges. "How much longer until those charges are disarmed!?" he asked.
"We need another three minutes!" Waxer shouted before he took a hit in the shoulder from a droid's blaster fire. "AH! I'm hit! But I can still keep fighting! Numa wouldn't give up so neither will I!" he declared as he disarmed another charge. "Probably should hang onto these." He grunted in pain.
"Let's hope we don't need to blow up a bridge with them." Boil joked as he disarmed another charge himself, just as Jaune leapt over them and used his lightsaber and sword to slash through the Grimm and droids. A rocket from a Super Battle Droid would have detonated one of the remaining charges had Jaune not redirected it with the Force back towards the enemy, killing multiple Grimm. "Glad he's on our side." He said with relief.
Taking the lessons he learned from his trial in the cave, Jaune controlled his anger and channeled it into his attacks, cutting through Grimm and Droids as if they were nothing. The sight of Jaune's abilities caused both the MSDF soldiers to keep on fighting despite the number of wounded or dead soldiers while the Grimm soon started to back off and the droids began to retreat. "I have to have balance and control my anger. I won't become like Maul or any other Sith Lord. I am a Jedi." He said to himself before sheathing his weapons.
"Cease fire!" the MSDF Lieutenant ordered. The guns fell silent as the final charge was disarmed and placed in the backpack on Waxer's back. "Command, this is Bravo-12, we've cleared the hostiles from the bridge and disarmed the charges. Trains are cleared to proceed to New Argus. We lost a few soldiers and we've got wounded. We're enroute back to base now, I'll give a full report when we return." The Lieutenant reported into the radio of one of the APCs as the wounded and dead were loaded into the vehicles which then headed back to base, leaving Jaune and his group confused about the fighter jets that helped them.
"Where did those F35's come from? I thought you said it was too risky to drop ordinance on any hostiles that come near the bridge?" Nora questioned, scratching her head.
"I did, but it wasn't any of us who called in an air strike." Cody reminded the grenade launcher totting girl. "The MSDF didn't call in for those jets and neither did we. So, the question is, who sent them?"
"Maybe they were a couple of pilots from Sicario? I heard they recently created a squadron of all female Faunus pilots from around the planet, so maybe it was the two who flew those broadswords?" Lop suggested. "What? I like to keep informed about groups of Faunus who aren't part of the White Fang. Especially those who work alongside humanity." Lop protested in her defense.
"Just didn't peg you for the type for keeping tabs on a mercenary company." Alpha replied as the freight train that was waiting passed by and over the bridge. "I think someone might have hacked into their communications and sent those fighters our way. But why do that? That's the opposite of defeating an enemy."
Suddenly, Lop's scroll rang and she went to answer it. To her surprise and the surprise of the others, she had received a message from an unknown source. 'To the enemies of Salem, I have valuable information that you will find most helpful, I have sent you my coordinates. I strongly advise that you meet with me face to face so that we may discuss our alliance and my intelligence. The choice you make could determine the fate of all of Remnant.' She read as the coordinates were uploaded to her Scroll.
"This has got to be a trap." Cody surmised. "No one but us knows about Salem, so this has to be one of her followers trying to kill us."
"I say we ignore it and head back to the city." Nora said in agreement.
"I don't know. It didn't sound like a trap. They called us the enemies of Salem, so maybe they know something about Salem that we don't know. I mean, for all we know this could be the lead to figuring out what Salem's weakness really is." Jaune pointed out.
"Jaune makes a valid point, but we should proceed with caution." Zett agreed.
"It looks like the sender wants us to meet them at an abandoned settlement not far from here. It was a fishing village and the center of trade in the old days, but after Argus was constructed and the railroad bypassed the village, trade dried up and everyone left the village." Ren explained as he checked the coordinates on his own scroll. "My father told me about that village, and he said that it was the Grimm that forced the people of the village to abandon their homes."
"Let's hope it's not one of those Apathy like Ruby and the others found at the farm. I don't want to die facing something that can drain my will to fight without even trying to fight back." Lop said with concern. "I mean, I don't even want to think about what they would have done to Grogu if they killed him."
"Got that right. It be the same thing if it was Numa." Waxer agreed, his shoulder patched up from the wound. "It could be risky, but nothing ever comes without risks. I say we go and check it out."
"I'm with Waxer on this one." Boil said in agreement.
"Alright, that settles it. Let's check out that village. It's not far from here, but we better get moving before it gets dark. I don't want to fight the Grimm in the dark, especially considering those bug-based Grimm Salem's got in her army." Alpha reminded the group before they started off in the direction of the old fishing village, which was on the other side of the bridge.
The group followed the tracks for a about four hours before they started to follow an old road that headed towards the ocean. The snow crunched beneath their feet as they walked down the road towards the village, their weapons at the ready for any sign of trouble. "Doesn't it seem a little quiet to everyone? We haven't seen a single Grimm or droid in four hours. It's almost like they're waiting for something." Jaune pointed out.
"I got to agree with Jaune on this one. Something's wrong. I haven't sensed anything since we started walking." Zett confirmed. "Either the enemy is waiting for us or we're walking into a trap."
Suddenly, an ear-piercing scream echoed around them as emerging from the snow-covered trees were dozens of Apathy which were wandering around looking for victims. Waxer and Boil were able to fire off a few shots and took down a few of the Grimm but there was just too many of the creatures before they fell to the ground and lost consciousness. As the Apathy approached their victims, they were suddenly hit from behind by blaster fire.
Emerging from behind the Apathy and clutching an E5 blaster rifle was a droid with three orange sensor eyes, green and yellow marked armor plating open fired at the Grimm. The Apathy let out another scream, but the droid was unaffected by the screaming as it kept on shooting the Grimm until they were completely wiped out. "It appears that I did not calculate on the possibility of more Apathy in the area. Nonetheless, with the Grimm eliminated I can discuss the information I have gathered with these enemies of Salem. But it is logical to bring them to safety." The droid said as he pressed a button on his gauntlet and called vehicle to his location. The droid then loaded the unconscious group onto the transport and drove it towards the old fishing village.
The sun was starting to set when hours later, Cody awoke to the sight of a 2-1B medical droid tending to Waxer's wound, but the droid had the markings of the CIS. "Get away from him!" Cody shouted and threw a piece of wood at the droid.
"I'm afraid that is not advisable. I must tend to the patients wound. It has become infected and if I do not treat it immediately, I will be forced to preform surgery. Thankfully, the infection is still in the early stages and is treatable." The medical droid reported, ignoring the piece of wood that was thrown at him.
Before Cody could even respond, the droid that killed the Apathy entered the room. "CC-2224, nicknamed Cody. Clone Marshal and leader of the 7th Sky Corps which included the 212th Attack Battalion, Ghost Company, the 2nd Reconnaissance Squad, Parjai Squad and Squad Seven, led by General Obi-Wan Kenobi. According to Republic records, you and several clone Commando's were imprisoned for aiding the Jedi traitors when the Jedi betrayal began. According to the scans from the medical droids, you have not aged in years, as the other two of your brothers." The droid said.
"What are you doing here, Clanker?" Cody demanded.
"I am General Kalani of the former Confederacy of Independent Systems Droid army. I am far superior to the more common B1 and B2's you are familiar with in battle." Kalani answered before he pressed a button on his gauntlet and brought up a projection of statistics. "Near the end of the war, the Separatist Droid Army greatly outnumbered the republic units. I calculated a 23.6% probability of being defeated, but then the Jedi betrayal occurred and then the droid army was forced to shut down. I assumed it to be a republic trick and prevented the shutdown order on Agamar before my forces came under attack by the newly formed Galactic Empire. I escaped and came to this planet where I have discovered much about the so called 'Jedi betrayal', largely in part due to the information I recovered from the autopsy I discovered under Wat Tambor's supervision." The droid explained.
"What do you mean autopsy?" Cody demanded again.
"During the war, Wat Tambor and Sam Hill interrogated and killed captured republic soldiers, using their bodies as test subjects for a biological weapon that only targets clone troopers. A war crime conducted by the Confederacy that was not made public. In those autopsies, I discovered the existence of the inhibitor chips and their purpose. Neither the Confederacy or the Republic were meant to win the war, but the one controlling both sides of the war, the Supreme Chancellor, better known to only his most trusted followers as Darth Sidious. The war was orchestrated so that he could appoint himself as Emperor and destroy all his enemies who would oppose him." Kalani continued. "When the shutdown order came, I had learned the truth and was preparing to build a new droid army to destroy this newly formed Galactic Empire and expose the Emperor for the criminal he is, but I failed, and my army was destroyed."
"That still doesn't explain why you're here. Were you the one who sent that message to us? Were you the one who called in that airstrike?" Cody demanded once again.
"I am. After my ship crashed on Remnant, I came across this village and discovered a cult that worshiped the one called Salem as their god. This cult believed she was a true god and they were called upon to carry out her will by destroying her enemies. I eliminated the cult and have been hiding out in this old fishing village, gathering information on Salem and how to defeat her. In those years, I have discovered that she is immortal and cannot be killed by conventional means, then I heard of the appearance of the new Demon Lord, who based on all information I have acquired is a Jedi Knight who did not serve in the war. Then the Empire arrived and launched their assault on Beacon with the White Fang. The conclusion confirmed my theory that the Empire had formed an alliance with Salem and was supplying the White Fang with imperial weapons and equipment. The purpose of this alliance is unclear, but with her alliance with the Empire and the White Fang Salem has gathered more powerful allies."
"You know she has acquired her own droid army? Why don't you just go over to her side and work with her?" Cody questioned.
"Because it is the illogical course of action. Joining forces with Salem will result in Remnant's ultimate destruction. Her allies she has gathered over the years all have their own personal vendettas against the kingdoms and certain individuals, all except for Hazel Reinhart whose sister was killed by the Grimm which Salem controls. I will fight against Salem and her allies, because it is the logical course of action, because Salem's weakness is not as hidden as one would think." Kalani answered.
"Commander," Waxer said as he started to wake up. "I get you don't trust this… droid. But he saved our lives, twice. If he knows about Salem, then he might know where she is based and what her next plan is. For all we know, she might not be planning an attack on Atlas." The Arc Trooper explained.
"The Arc Trooper is correct. I have information about Salem that you do not know, but Atlas is indeed her next target. General Ironwood's closure of the borders and Dust embargo have only succeeded in giving Salem a newer target that she can exploit easily, considering her new Grimm. The General has no knowledge about these creatures." Kalani said in agreement. "For now, it is prudent that we ensure the rest of your group is alive."
Cody relented and agreed, finding it surprising that he was actually trusting a Super Tactical Droid, but he had no choice. He and Waxer followed Kalani out of the building and into the old village. The buildings were broken and rotting after years of neglect, as were the remaining trawlers that were still tied to the docks and lied at the bottom of the water. "For an old fishing village and cult hideout, this place has seen better days." Cody noted.
"After I cleared out the cult, I reinforced this village using whatever resources the cult had stolen or acquired through out the years and set up a defensive position." Kalani explained as he led the two clones into the mayors building, where a medium caliber machine gun was mounted in the top window. "I found it disturbing that this cult had managed to acquire military weapons, but I have concluded that they had several followers infiltrate the militaries of the kingdoms, allowing them to acquire these weapons. I have also learned they also conducted human and faunus sacrifices that they believed would appease Salem."
"Least they're all dead." Waxer said with relief as they entered the mayors office and found the others waiting for them. "Glad to see the rest of you aren't dead. I'd hate for Pyrrha to kill us because we failed to protect you guys." He joked.
"I don't think I've ever heard you tell a joke before, Waxer." Boil noted. "Guess you all had the same shock we did when we learned that it was an old enemy who saved us from the Grimm?"
"I almost bashed his head in! Not the way I'd want to thank the guy who saved our asses from those ugly Grimm." Nora chuckled.
"Your concern for my well being is not necessary, Miss Valkyrie, but I am afraid we have another problem to contend with. I have discovered that the Arachnid based Grimm are approaching out location, through the probe droid I dispatched after I brought all of you to my temporary base. They should arrive at our location in approximately fifteen minutes, leaving us very little time to prepare extra defenses." Kalani reported.
"Great, more of those bug-based Grimm. I thought the Centinals, Lancers and Rapier Wasps were bad, now we got newer Grimm based on alien bugs." Lop groaned. "I wonder if she knows about these Grimm?" she muttered to herself.
"I have to agree with the Lepi female. Salem's creation of these Grimm based on some of the dangerous species in the galaxy is troubling, however amongst the Grimm heading towards us are newer versions capable of spitting corrosive liquid similar to the Centinals and the Centaurs commonly found in Atlas. I calculate that we have only a forty-percent chance of survival." Kalani spoke.
"What about those charges we removed from the bridge?" Zett suggested. "If we can place charges on the load bearing walls of the buildings closest to the entrance to the village, it should increase our chances of survival long-enough to call for a pickup. Tech did give me another remote control for the Hellcats."
"If you are referring to the hovercraft that Ray Autumn had invented with the assistance of the clone army, then you won't have to call for the craft you have in Argus. I recently procured several craft that the White Fang was planning on using in their assault on Haven Academy. Unfortunately, they have no bombs loaded in their weapons bays." Kalani revealed.
"That's one thing we don't need to worry about." Cody said before he turned to Waxer and Boil. "You two slackers get those charges planted on the walls of those buildings ASAP. We don't have a lot of time before the Grimm arrive." He ordered.
"Still holding us for that time on Ryloth are you, Commander?" Boil shrugged before he and Waxer headed outside to the buildings Zett mentioned.
"As for the rest of you." Kalani said before he pulled up a crate which contained five DC-15A blaster rifles. "You should arm yourselves with these blasters. Your weapons, while effective against the Grimm will be useless if you try to get in close to the Arachnid based Grimm. Their powerful jaws will rip you in half."
"Not gonna let that happen!" Nora smirked as she grabbed one of the blaster rifles which was fully loaded, as did Jaune, Ren, Zett and Lop. "You sure you know how to use a blaster, Zetty?"
"When I was on the run from the Empire, I switched from using my lightsaber to a blaster. I can handle myself with one of these." Zett assured as he checked his rifle. "I'm guessing the cult had a few of these blasters?" he asked Kalani.
"They did. I assume they must have taken the weapons from a destroyed Republic vehicle that crashed on the planet. This planet has been the home for many crashed vessels over the course of history." Kalani answered as he manned the machine gun he set up in the window. "The Arc Troopers have finished planting the charges on the buildings, detonate the charges the moment the Grimm pass the buildings."
"That's a good plan. Alpha, check the Hellcats, make sure they're ready for take off the moment we need to leave." Cody instructed.
"Got it, Commander." Alpha replied and headed to the back of the building to check the Hellcats.
"So, does anyone have any suggestions for a girl who's never fired a ranged weapon before? I never really had to fire one until now." Lop admitted.
"Just hold it good and tight to your shoulders, aim and fire." Cody instructed, helping Lop position her hands on the weapon. "You've got five-hundred shots in the cartridge, make 'em count and don't waste shooting dead targets." He added as Waxer and Boil returned, taking positions in the windows.
"The enemy is approaching." Kalani announced as a cloud of snow was kicked up and trees were knocked down as the Grimm approached the old village. The Grimm capable of spitting acid that Kalani had mentioned appeared and appeared to have a glowing green sack around its jaws. "It appears that some of these Grimm have the same acid sack as the evolved Centinal form." Kalani observed.
The Grimm charged towards the abandoned village and passed the houses the charges were planted on. "Detonating now!" Cody shouted and pressed the button on the detonator that was hooked up to the charges. The explosive's detonated and the explosion ripped through dozens of Grimm, but those that made it past the buildings were still charging towards the mayors building where they were greeted by a barrage of bullets and blaster fire. "Let 'em have it!" the clone commander shouted.
"Already givin it to them!" Nora shouted with excitement, firing a burst of blaster fire that downed several Grimm, one of which spat acid towards one of its companions as it died turning the creature it spat on into a puddle. "Yuck, that is just nasty. Hey! Some of these guys spit acid, like the tin man said!"
"Gee, we didn't notice." Waxer pointed out as he fired a burst from his own DC-15A, downing several Grimm while Kalani opened up with the machine gun, riddling multiple hostiles with fire dust infused bullets. "I love the smell of burnt Grimm." he grinned before he threw a couple of grenades out the window and into the horde of Grimm, killing several of them.
Boil followed up with a shot from the grenade launcher mounted under his own rifle that blew apart several Grimm. "Focus on the smell later, we've got Widows inbound!" he shouted as multiple Widow's moved slowly behind their faster allies while launching several blasts of missiles towards the mayor's office which blew parts of the building into splinters. "I forgot how much I hate these guys." He groaned.
"Maybe it's because we haven't faced these damn things in a while!" Jaune reminded the Arc-Trooper as he downed another couple of the Arachnid based Grimm, which the MSDF had started to call Warriors. "These Warriors are tough to take on alone. General, can't you call in an air strike?"
"I'm afraid I cannot call in an air strike. There is great risk in the possibility that the MSADF fighters will overshoot the target and drop their weapons on us." Kalani stated, firing the last of the machine rounds at the Grimm before the weapon was empty. "I believe it would be best for us to leave the village immediately before we are overrun." He advised Cody.
"I'm actually inclined to agree with the Clanker here, sir. We've got to get the hell out of here before we get ripped to shreds!" Waxer agreed. "Besides, we've got these five to worry about."
"Can't argue with that. Alpha should have those Hellcats powered up! Let's get the hell out of here!" Cody shouted in agreement before another blast of missiles slammed into the mayors building that knocked Boil to the ground. "On your feet brother, we are leaving!"
Leaving the mayors building, the group found that Alpha had indeed finished powering up the four Hellcats and was sitting in the cockpit of one of the hovercraft. He didn't notice a Warrior charging towards his hovercraft, but Ren, Zett and Lop did. The three of them were quick to down the Grimm with a concentrated blast of weapons fire downed the Grimm before it could rip the ARC Trooper in half. "Thanks for the save, kids. Now let's get the hell out of here! General, You're carrying only one of us!" he shouted.
The group didn't waste time climbing aboard the Hellcats as the Grimm blew apart the old Mayor's office only to witness, their pray fleeing the scene in four Hellcats, before an explosion from beneath the remains of the old building engulfed much of the Grimm in a fiery explosion. "I take it you rigged a generator beneath the building as a makeshift bomb?" Cody questioned from the gunner's position of the Hellcat that Kalani was piloting.
"It was a logical choice to rig the generator below the mayor's office to explode in the event that I was forced to abandon this position. I hadn't concluded it would happen soon. However, I have calculated that the Rebel Alliance has a strong chance of defeating the Galactic Empire, with the destruction of the Death Star. I have gathered such information from several imperial soldiers who wandered into my encampment." Kalani explained. "Now, I will serve the Clone Army as a tactical advisor and strategist. It is the logical choice."
"Then I guess I'll say it first, welcome to the rebellion." Cody said with a smirk as the four Hellcats headed in the direction of Argus.

Yeah, I brought Kalani into the story, but more or less based on his legend's counterpart. Bet you all didn't know the guy who voiced him did Grimlock in various Transformers series?
Anyway, I think I'll focus the next chapter on Weiss, Arthur and Kara and then the next chapter will focus on Mara Jade. I'll give you all something to look forward to.
