This is a poem I wrote just today, as an assignment in English class. We had to pick something we saw in the classroom and write about it, letting our minds wander. When we copied them down onto construction paper, I wrote the last word in different colors, with the letters trailing down the page. Anyways, here's a poem on my three favorite Sandman characters.
The Ankh
I stare at the ankh
the symbol worn by
ever cheery Death;
she who brings eternal sleep,
somewhat like her brother, Dream,
the Sandman,
the protagonist of my favorite
comic book
with its myriad of colors
putting into mind
the youngest Delirium.
