"Critter, what is it" Jason said pointing to a IED that was blocking their path, they were tracking a weapons dealer who specialised in the explosive kind, there was no doubt that there was going to be at least one booby trap they'd have to deal with
"Something I could really use Tinkerbell's help with" Critter said after examining the device for a few minutes
"Well, you're going to have to do this without her cause she ain't here, thought you were supposed to be good" Sonny said annoyed at having to stop
"I can't make heads or tails of this device for definite, I start screwing around then we could all end up blown to pieces, can't we get a secure line to her, so she can confirm what we've got on our hands, I'm 80% sure what we're dealing with, but I'd like to be more confident before I continue, save us going home in body bags, or at least part of us anyway" Critter said quickly shutting the Texan down
"It's worth a shot Jase, if we do a video chat, Jess can confirm the device from the hospital" Metal said supporting Critter in his suggestion
"HAVOC this is Bravo 1 come in on channel 2" Jason said after hesitating for a bit, channel 2 was the private channel that had been preselected for the mission, meaning that anything said would be of the official record
"Bravo 1 this is HAVOC, we read you Lima Charlie, what's your status" came Lisa's voice over the radio
"We've come across an IED that's armed and deadly, we can't proceed till it's rendered safe and Alpha 7 is apprehensive about proceeding with the render safe procedure without a visual confirmation from Bravo 7 on what we're dealing with, he's requesting permission to do a private link up with Bravo 7" Jason said explaining the situation they were in
"You have a way to do the link up Bravo 1" came Eric's voice over the radio, they were running low visibility with scrambled radio signals to avoid detection, Critter nodded that he had a way to contact Jess without alerting anyone to the fact they were there
"Confirmed HAVOC, we have a way to contact Bravo 7" Jason said
"Proceed Bravo 1, you know the rules with this communication" Eric said giving the all clear to proceed with the communication
"Yes sir, okay Critter, we can't disclose any information on where we are, and you need to mask your signal, this communication remains of all official reports" Jason said reinforcing that this needed to be kept strictly confidential and of record
"Got it" Critter said pulling out his phone, he could bounce his call of so many cell towers that no one would be able to track their location

"Critter, what's going on" Jay asked surprised to see the young man calling via video chat in full camouflage uniform at a late hour, Jay had been looking after Jess's phone and answering her calls and messages all day why she slept
"Jay, where's Tinkerbell, I need her advice" Critter asked keeping the communication straight to the point
"She's in the head freshening up, what do you need" Jay said
"You alone" Critter asked, knowing that the conversation couldn't continue if there was anyone else in the room
"I am" Jay said suddenly realising that Critter was most likely in the middle of a mission and needed help with something
"I need this identified" Critter said moving the camera so Jay could see the device
"Show me the underneath, now go left, stop, that's a relic you've got there in design, haven't seen anything like that since Ghazni in 06, looks like modern materials used in construction however" Jay said directing Critter to show him what he needed to make an assessment
"You know what it is" Critter asked hopefully, Jay had trained Jess after all, and if he hadn't seen one of them since 2006, and he retired in 2013, Jay might have just had a bit more of an idea then what Jess would have
"A Lion's snare mark 3, you should have my notes on it, just make sure you stay clear of the second trip, it's not as obvious as the other one" Jay said providing a last minute warning, he'd seen a few EOD's stuff up by missing the second trip wire
"Thanks Jay, any chance you can delete this call from Tinkerbell's phone" Critter said thanking Jay for his assistance, of Jay could delete the call on his end Jess would be none the wiser of it taking place
"Easy done, see you when you get here" Jay said quickly before hanging up the phone

"You sure that you're not receiving any indication of a transmission from their location Davis" Eric asked eager to be certain that the team remained undetected
"No sir, they're still clear, however they've made the call it's not obvious to our technology" Lisa said impressed, if they couldn't detect a call they knew was happening, the chances of someone else detecting the signal was extremely remote
"Bravo 1 to HAVOC, IED is now rendered safe, we're proceeding with the mission" came Jason's call over the radio
"Copy Bravo 1, you are clear to Charlie Mike" Lisa said responding to Jason's update
"Thank heavens for that" Eric muttered, they'd pulled it of without detection
