Another poem. This one was just kind of floating around in my mind and doesn't exactly follow any specific style. This one is also from Erik's point of view, and I guess it's his reflections on the hold Christine has over his heart and mind. It also shows how Erik considers himself Christine's guardian, as he watches over her while she sleeps.

Love it, hate it, but leave a review!

A Ghost's Insanity

I love thee… I need thee…

Now and for eternity.

Angel, come to me.

Come to the voice that calls to thee.

This ghost that wants to be free.

Alone, I watched you silently,

Hoped for what could never be.

I knew you'd come, I knew you'd see,

The unbearable monstrosity.

Please come… Set me free…

See, I beg on bended knee.

You're my hope, my only key.

Yet you won't listen to my plea.

I turn around and watch you flee.

It's your fault this darkness is me!

Cause of my insanity.

Cold eyes, dead heart,

A ghost gone on a killing spree.

Forgotten my humanity,

Now I lie here needing thee.

You're the only one who can pay the fee,

The only one who can see.

Sleep tight, Angel… be free…

I'll be waiting here for thee,

Beneath the cold, black sea,

Until I see you in your dreams…
