"if this reaper guy was after weiss then why is she not scratched off his list?" ren asked giving the cops his weapons an ammo.
Ruby looked at rayla and she shrugged, ciri ummed and said7 "maybe reaper is going against his orders, left her alive and in hopes of getting information or supplies for sparing her; everyone needs a friend on the inside"
"maybe he wants to kill her later or it could be anything. right now all that matters is that he didn't" ruby interjected shoving past them into the bullhead.
"I'm still right here you guys and I have to say I thinking I'm disappointed in how little you regard me" she huffed annoyed and looked at ciri with pleading eyes.
"I'm sorry little one, that's not something we should to fixated on when more important things are in front of us"
Weiss smiled a bit walking alongside her and sat down at the window Seay next to ciri and sighed 'I miss you cole'
The ride was devoid of life and conversation like their old days of taking missions so instead of actually 'talking' amongst themselves they were texting in a group chat that Ruby wasn't taking part in favor of staring out the window. Remembering the necklace and ring she tossed it at weiss's head calling out, "weiss heads up"
Ciri caught it and handed it off to weiss, "what's this" she asked looking at the ring.
"It was for you from cole; he loved you a lot more than we all realized but it was more a crush than anything" she answered
"well from your account his body was never found so, when I find him I'll kiss him then punch him in his beautiful marble carved face" she smiled putting the necklace on.
a few hours later they landed on the helipad near the parking lot "I think I'll stay in here for the time being" weiss said dejectedly watching the snow fall to the ground. her sleep on the ride there had been one filled with tears and struggling to keep quiet, so naturally she wanted to be alone with her thoughts for a while.
"well seeing as you and yang did the same thing to cole I think I'll do something else to break her down so that she knows how to not mess with my family" rayla replied patting her arm and walk out the doors towards the doors, snow crunched beneath their feet while the snow covering them slid down their hair and clothes. Thankfully the doors were close by.
"rayla you should know I can take you out with a flick of my hand so do keep that in mind before you threaten my students. Ciri said slipping a hand in her pocket taking the picture and pat her on the back in one motion.
Walking in the doors they were greeted to a prison waiting room and metal detectors.
"ah, rayla its good to see you"
"robin, just cut the pleasantries and scan us in so we can get ms.branwen's sister so we can leave"
"She's not my sister" Ruby said angrily
"as blunt as ever I see" he replied
They all were checked for weapons of any kind, so when nothing was found they were sent through a second screening, as they all went through security a guard grabbed Ruby and said turning her around "im sorry ms.branwen but im going to ask for that necklace"
She put a hand over it and backed away into ciri standing behind her and said "im afraid that's not going to happen sir" her voice was calm and polite but had a hint of cold anger that no one except for rayla and her classmates could hear.
"if that's the case then im going to ask that you stay here; I'd rather not have to search every prison cell for it" rayla looked at Ruby and held out her hand "do you trust me with it rubes?" she asked.
"its okay rayla, just go get yang so we can get this mission started" she said putting the necklace in her shirt. Jaune looked at everyone and sighed before following them in. He fought for both himself and hid place to stay in beacon to the point he'd been fighting to breathe so he wore a rebreather module for those with bad lungs and now that he'd earned his place it was like he'd been a first year again.
Two guards opened the doors and escorted them through two cell blocks and part of a courtyard they finally found the cells with those held in solitary confinement, four guards pointed their guns at the door while two more guards opened it prompting the others to back away.
"be on guard miss, this one is easily set off" he said handing her a strange key, ciri was a bit confused but assumed it was needed.
"thank you officer" she said walking into a room as large as cole's old room, ten to twenty soldiers stood at the ready as soon as ciri, rayla and the others entered the room.
in the center of it all was yang, bound tight in chains. she looked beaten and gave off a miserable feeling, as soon as the doors closed she looked up and saw professor rivia, jaune, Pyrrha, nora, and ren. she smiled with a glimmer of hope but that died when she saw a woman takethe key to her aura suppression collar that professor eiva had been holding.
she growled and lunged forward to attack but froze when twenty guns were trained on her.
"do you know about me yang?" rayla asked holding her hand up to tell them to hold fire. "cause I know plenty about you" she began walking around her cell playing with the key. "we'll start with your anger management issues"
Yang was about to argue when she saw rayla's eyes and completely froze not even able to say something, she stuck her hand into the shadow at her feet and pulled out a file and read over a few documents, unfortunately they crumbled to ashes as ciri held out the real documents and pushed rayla out of the cell then fixed her legs in place. "My student is not to be treated like this by you, listen closer or I'll have you in chains and leave you in here."
"cole gave all of you the cold shoulder when you met him, you tried to force his story out of him, blamed him for all the bad that befell you and everyone around you," she put the key in the cell door with her shadows and let ciri step in then closed the door before anyone could stop her.
"MA'AM, STEP AWAY FROM THE PRISONER" she turned to the soldier and said "stand down warden, im completely safe in here" and turned to yang and became black smoke when she tried to wrap a chain around her "see?" she said as she began to break down her life page by page. Ciri carried on for rayla after freezing her whole body and pushed her to jaune, whom dragged her from the cell.
"after you forced Ruby out of your life thinking she needed to break out of her shell and in the coming weeks, maked her far too nervous to talk to anyone until that bumbling baboon befriended her" she said pointing towards jaune.
"shut up" they said in unison with yang gritting her teeth and jaune just clenched his fists.
"you decimated an entire city district and half of a highway to fight Roman torchwich inside a prototype paladin"
"shut your mouth" she growled
"you again abandoned Ruby at a club to get some and left her to the mercy of a bunch of thugs"
"shut up before i-" she stopped when ciri slapped her with the back of her hand creating a bright red hand print on her left cheek and hit her head on the bars.
"-then cole came in" she continued like nothing had happened, "he began to garner your little sister's attention and affections, while on and off missions and he was like you…well, except he could separate from being a hunter and a student"
Yang said nothing but glared back at her teacher with tears streaming down her face. "every mission Ruby went on, you purposely asked for cole for back up to keep your team safe, but it was also to see if he was as slimy as you idiots perceived him to be"
She looked away in shame but rayla pulled her back to her attention with a key in her collar and opened it.
"but when those two began to grow close, you got way too protective of her and threatened him, but when you lost to him many times after-"
"shut your mouth you bitch" she glowered.
Ciri glared and kicked her in the stomach sending her into the bed, "then the worst happened when they came back late from a mission three years ago today." She pulled yang to her feet and pressed some ice dust against her cheek before sitting her down to calmly talk to her former student.
"now normally, one would keep in mind that cole was already a long since broken man with nothing to lose, nothing to restrain him and a cause to help you lot was fading quickly with each passing day, but when he failed to protect the one person he loved like a sister, he only got worse in the eyes of his peers" she unlocked her left wrist cuff but yang swung at her with fire in her eyes.
"Ruby was stabbed in the stomach completely destroying her liver and tore her intestines apart"
the right cuff fell "keep talking and I'll make sure you never speak again" she screamed tearing up trying for a back kick.
"your sister wouldn't have blamed him for what happened" she said grabbing her left leg and threw her into the bars "right as she was about to die cole healed her. though it left a scar she was grateful to him and said it happens to the best of hunters"
She picked her up and put her on the chair again and smiled just as the fire left her eyes.
"please stop" yang whimpered out.
Ciri pat her on the shoulder and heard rayla add to her misery "after your mommy left you and summer died; after a few years of fame and power trips over bad guys and grimm you used cole as a punching bag."
she got free or their grip, threw ciri to the side, stood over yang and stood her up holding her by the front of her prison garb "you told everyone that cole was a monster and an unhinged beast, destroying his reputation….but did you ever stop to think about how that made him feel in the long run"
She dragged her out of the cell and slammed her on the floor back first and ended it kneeling over her eclipsing the light above her "Ruby, Glynda, and some of the other students and teachers that still thought him to be good gave him a home at beacon, but you took it away from him that day in the training room he died a little each day and you idiots antagonized him; how can you call yourself a sister when you helped brake her heart"
Ciri used her magic to grab her sword and put the blade to raylas back and glared warningly, She stood up and let four guards escort rayla out the doors with the others following them close behind.
Seeing that the danger was now subdued the soldiers put their weapons down watching them leave.
No one spoke a word and thought it best to stay that way, when the ten of them got to the security desk yang was outfitted with a tracking bracelet and was told to stay out of trouble.
"your community service starts today ms.xaio long, give her any reason to send you here again and I'll personally see to it that you stay here for a long time" the warden said letting yang go through the metal detector. "and trust me, ms.rivia is the worst of the two of us"
"Flattery gets you nowhere jack, im not interested."
Yang sneered at them and walked through the doors to the waiting room, when she saw Ruby and how beautiful she turned out to be she froze mid step with a whirlwind of emotion. 'She's exactly what summer looked like.
Her hair was halfway down her back tied and braided, she still wore the usual boots and cloak but instead of what she wore when she watched yang get sent to prison Ruby wore black jeans, a red t-shirt with a rose on the front, and a beautiful ring hanging out of her shirt by a silver necklace. She was covering her mouth tears fell from her eyes and saw that she was hysterically laughing with a couple guards while one was telling a story and the other was holding his stomach trying to calm down but when the guard said "and tha….that isn't the best part, hahahahaha- so I told the detective that isn't from the crash, HE WAS BORN THAT WAY!"
they all burst out laughing at the story Ruby fell from her seat laughing harder and harder that she started snorting.
Unfortunately for her the fun had to end as rayla helped her up and had to calm down enough to tell the guards "well, i guess i gotta get going...it was good talking with you guys, and if you have anymore stories here's my huntress ID and number; request a job for me and I'll make sure to bring drinks and snacks next time"
"well, it was a pleasure ms.branwen, and thanks for talking with us, it was a good experience to laugh with the red reaper"
They went their separate ways and left the group to their own devices, rayla walked past Ruby smiling at her but when she turned around her smile and chuckling slowly died in her throat when she saw yang standing there waving nervously smiling sheepishly.
"oh yeah, your community service starts today huh?" she said in a monotone "whatever, just stay quiet and follow me" pointing to rayla and ciri she added, "obviously you've met them but I don't care" as she walked toward the doors.
Yang flinched at that and deflated following her out the doors to the ship where weiss sat inside singing "path to isolation" as beautifully as always, holding the ring solemnly rubbing it with her thumb she let her small 5 inch gigas use it as a belt making her giggle a little.
The doors opened blasting her with cold air making her voice crack as she screamed out loud and shivered running for her heavy coat and huddled in her seat with chattering teeth. "couldn't have given me a warning!?" she whined watching everyone board the ship and stood up shocked to see yang.
She ran over to her and hugged her as tightly as she could, but was surprised to see that she was pushed to the side for trying to sit next to Ruby but hesitated when Ruby put her scythe staff to yang's neck glaring.
Ruby's eyes were as cold as Atlas in a blizzard and devoid of the old warmth Ruby had and heard "take one more step and I'll make sure your community service ends with you Six. Feet. Under." she stood up and stared her down, silver bore into soft lilac and that's when it hit her: Ruby was taller and seemed more developed than yang remembered, she looked more ruthless and focused compared to the giggling redhead she used to be a minute ago.
Ciri sat in the pilot seat and went about her normal procedure of flying but faster since the blizzard was getting better to see through.
"I really lost her didn't i?" she thought when Ruby stepped to the side and took her staff apart putting them back on her hips then pointed to her seat next to weiss and jaune "sit and keep quiet" she sounded like summer when yang would get punished for startingfights in class.
"your starting to sound like summer" she said sitting down with a sad glare. But in hindsight it was expected seeing as she was the spitting image of summer and Qrow but a bit worse considering who Ruby was.
"good, then maybe you'll listen and do as your fucking told" she looked over at weiss and asked "can you come with me for a few minutes, its important"
She practically jumped out of her seat and followed her to the back of the bullhead. "anything you need to know I will do my best to accommodate" she replied respectfully.
Ruby stopped in front of a sink and washed her face with cold water then turned around dripping wet and made weiss blush at the very sight of her but forced it down when Ruby asked "why did the reaper leave you alive, he tied you up, put you in the sound booth and locked you in, then fought both of your parents and only chose to kill your dad" she looked down with a sigh and rubbed her face.
Ruby pressed in again but more sternly "you were at the top of his list yet he felt it best to leave you alone, why?"
weiss took a moment to think it over and remembered his questions, "well to clarify he also blindfolded and kissed me." She shivered in disgust and decided to take a drink of vacuian whiskey but continued.
"I think its because I told him my dad's wherabouts; before I came back to Atlas I remembered how cole had torn my reputation apart like parchment paper, so i decided that i would start anew with what he told me that day, I did everything he brought up and now that I did I own nearly thirty-eight percent of the SDC and opened a store called the Atlesian snow angel across remnat and my store sells to everyone, professorrivia even buys from me personally on occasion"
jaune choked on his drink while everyone else laughed at her.
"what?!" weiss shrieked blushing red as a cherry and hid her face behind a wall of ice.
Ciri smirked deviously and made a note of her embarrassed reaction as she sent getalt updates while putting it all on him to figure it out was his specialty. could go investigator for the council if he wanted but it wasn't his style.
Ruby calmed down enough and was staring at her for a while before she got her strength to speak she finally had something good to say "well for what its worth your trying to change for the better" she said giving her a pat on the shoulder with a small smile. "but seriously change the name"
"no, I actually like it!"
"Pyrrha, you were right, she is starting to forgive" jaune said holding her by her waist but she pushed herself up and replied "no she isn't jaune, at least not yet"
"Hey gossip train, cole loved weiss as a potential lover. I never needed reason to be angry with her" she said sitting near the cockpit door.
Yang smiled at the duo while thinking about how Ruby was still as kind as she used to be but that kindness was short lived when ren and nora walked over to weiss and filled her in on their mission and what was really going on.
"WHAT?!" weiss shrieked looking frantically at Ruby and yang before she ran over to her and hugged her head to her chest "im so sorry"
Before she could respond Ruby exclaimed "she doesn't know about her" and walked the others over to the seats and grabbed a small crate.
"know about who?" yang asked looking around at everyone's downcast expressions "what happened" everyone looked up and saw rayla walking over to the group.
"I need to refuel the ship" she said leaving the ship to do just that, but also to give them space to talk.
"We're still in the sky flying- aaaaand she's gone" jaune said holding a bottle of water out to give pyrrha.
"yang" Ruby said gently grabbing hers and everyone's attention, "the reaper is an international assassin killing everyone involved in Cole's pain and subsequent death…everyone except me, now weiss, and rayla, just to name a few. and he-" she struggled with her explanation so weiss took over. "yang, we think he might have killed Blake"
She looked at everyone with disbelief and horror "but, Blake told no one about where she went. She was a great fighter, but her fam- there's no way!" tears pooled in her eyes blurring her vison as her heart felt like it was being torn out.
"Yang, she tried taking the white fang back and make it a peaceful group again." Jaune said interrupting her, "at first we thought the white fang killed her but then we found this" he gave her his phone and showed her both pictures.
"who's The Reaper?" she asked standing up in anger hearing how bad the news was.
"we don't know, he's more or less a ghost story that has killed corrupt politicians and council members; instead of exposing their crimes he killed them and left it to remnant to find them for themselves, yang remnant is in discord on wether hes a blessing or blight since he's done this stuff" Weiss said reading off a file winter sent her. "but he was one bad answer away from killing me so I guess I was lucky"
"and considering how you treated him he's most likely coming for you next yang" ren said rubbing his hand that cole had broken once or twice.
"but…we have a chance to get crossed off his list without dying" nora said grabbing their attention in full.
"how do you mean?" ren asked giving her a inquisitive look.
"we appeal to his better nature of judge and jury without the executioner" she said beaming at them.
Right as she'd said that rayla came in the side door laughing "you have got to be kidding me" she laughed handing Ruby a package of small muffins and took deep breaths trying to calm down before weiss crossed her arms and asked "what's so funny, it worked for me"
"what are you talking about" she questioned taking a drink from a large Styrofoam cup "I was laughing at how cheap drinks and fuel are here in atlas; this is basically the kingdom of dust crystals and futuristic lifestyles."
"rayla your full of shit and are not as smart as you think!" Ciri hollered catching everyone off guard and shut rayla up but not for long though.
She and everyone else looked at her with shock and surprise, "o-oh, I thought you were laughing at our plans" rayla put her cup down and kicked her feet up sitting in a chair and smirked "what plans are you working out with those heads of yours?"
Ruby stood up from the crate and replied "the dolts over there think that just because weiss appealed to the reaper's merciful nature and let them live if he sees redemption in their efforts…but I doubt it" she sighed and took a drink from a flask and hummed in delight.
"RUBY BRANWEN!" yang roared standing up and stomped over to her and took the flask "is this really what Qrow would appreciate his daughter doing!?" she held the flask and was about to dump it out but Ruby punched her in the gut and swiped the flask from the air while yang fell to her knees holding her stomach.
"you may be my platonic sister but you have no business telling me what I can or cant drink" she replied taking a drink and gave it to rayla. "and besides I doubt that my dad would seriously punish me for drinking vacuian strawberry juice"
Weiss looked over to Ruby and scoffed with a smile slipping from her stoic frown. "you decked yang in the stomach because she tried to pour out some strawberry juice?" she asked trying not to laugh at the situation. "and here I thought you were the mature one."
Ruby glowered at the heiress and said after drinking from the flask, "do you know what I had to do to get my hands on this stuff?" she saw the look weiss wore disappear and answered the question for her when she shrugged "this stuff is almost twenty thousand lien a quart; im lucky to have a dealer in vacuo that gives me a crate at that price since everyone else turns it into wild berry ale"
Pyrrha chuckled and asked bumping her hip into Ruby 's butt "so who got you the dealer anyhow?"
"a lady has her secrets nikos" she said bumping her back, rayla raised an eyebrow and walked back to the controls and gasped throwing the others to the ground by accident when she hit full speed and flew low to the water. ciri knew about ruby's drink dealer cause she drank the same stuff but ciri and geralt mixed it with 200 year aged vodka and gave ruby a recommendation for said dealer.
"professor rivia, mind my vacuian, but what the fuck's goin on!?" jaune asked looking out the window seeing nothing but gravity dust crystals suspending small islands.
"we've found ourselves in the heart of a lancer wasp hive; shut up and let me focus on keeping us all alive!" rayla exclaimed sending shadow tendrils outside but quickly faded to the speeds and lack of shadows to cling to. "Damn it this thing is too fast"
Ciri heard this and called out to them, "if it gets bad out there I'll need you all to fight them off and mind your distance used those crystals are volatile and insanely unstable"
Rayla by this time groaned in frustration and said "jaune, ren and nora you're on aura watch" they nodded and got in the center of the cargo bay near rayla.
"yang, Ruby and pyrrha you three go out there and deal with any lancers getting too close" they nodded and went to the shadows that took them outside on the top and wings of the airship.
"I'll use my gravity glyphs on them" weiss said casting them on their boots and burned the glyphs into the bottom of them.
"Professor rivia I need you to slow down so we can fight these things" rayla called out and slicked towards jaune and put his hand on hers.
"You'll use your semblance to act as everyone's amplifier if they hit the yellow or orange range of aura" she instructed.
"What about us?" Nora asked cracking her knuckles.
"You and ren are emergencies in giving your auras to jaune if he runs out too fast"
both frowned but nodded all the same.
jaune went to work amplifying their aura till it had them glowing their respective colors.
Rayla aided them where she could but not much else since the ship was still moving too fast for her to fully help fight but this was the best she could do for now.
without warning one of the crystals exploded in a vicious boom and threw lancer chunks and earth falling from above and sides.
everything thundered and shook the area like a mixing bowl tossed into a beach ball then slowly went silent as the dead, nothing but the airship rumbling and the wind whipping around the three outside was heard. that was until jaune sighed and fell on his knees "oh man that was so close, hey professor, what caused that?"
"I told you all that dust is volatile out here"
"Good thing nothing came out of it"
Unfortunately their luck was just as bad as qrow's, it started off as quiet buzzing and scratching through the holes and soon enough a swarm the size of a mountain came out like a black and red cloud filling the world with a storm of sharp spears for stingers and mandibles like saw blades.
Weiss looked at jaune through the window and screamed "you just had to open you big mouth didn't you!"
"I'm sorry, I thought we were okay" jaune replied putting his hands through the shadow and pushed aura through the legs he'd grabbed and pulled back.
"Hang on everyone" ciri yelled speeding up and forcing weiss to cast glyphs on everyone to keep them from getting tossed around.
"Eyes up you two lancers incoming" Ruby yelled firing off shots with a gun she found. Lancers raged all around them as they shot and sliced through them as best they could but none were cut down but that didn't stop them from aiming differently.
Yang did as she always had and blew them back with her gauntlets keeping them back alongside weiss, both back to back keeping them safe.
Seeing what they did pyrrha went for ruby flipping and sliding away from them and practicallyslammed into ruby's back "try and aim for the underbelly and necks, armor is weakest there"
Hearing this Ruby got a sick grin spreading across her face and went towards pyrrha then yelled "you get their attention and I'll cut their heads off"
Having a plan, they went to work killing lancers and driving the rest away while weiss used her summons to clear a path from the other two and thankfully jaune had his amplifier going every few moments but even he was running low.
"Shit, hold on to something!" ciri exclaimed rolling the bullhead in a twisting fashion and made them all scream.
ruby slammed her scythes into the side scaring nora and ren and hoped they stayed in. Pyrrha stabbed her spear in halfway through and cut jaune's shoulder pauldron but nothing major, weiss was best off by having summon pin her to the hull to protect her from lancers.
leveling out ciri saw the opening in the islands and screamed "hurry inside you four, those aren't going to hold for long!" and sped towards it.
Ruby ripped her weapons out of the hull and threw yang into the hatch forcing the emergency lock to close before she could get in.
nora and Pyrrha ran over to yang and helped her up but had to hold her back when the hatch closed on her "Ruby, no!" she screamed as thy strapped her in.
"yang, she'll be fine" Pyrrha said reassuringly.
Everyone quickly froze when they all heard someone say, "so quick to try and earn her love when she could care less about you"
Weiss gasped and screamed in the ear piece "reaper, please leave my friends alone!"
"that's seriously all you have to say after I let you live?" he said snickering, "trust me little snow angel, im only here to talk"
"bullshit you are" yang exclaimed trying to get out of her restraints "your- nugh, here to kill- raahhh, Ruby aren't you?!"
reaper laughed and stabbed the bullhead with his mecha sword and began to cut a hole into it "don't sound so crass yang xaio long" he backed away from the hole and gestured to the hole for Ruby "as I just said im here to chat, now get back in and brace yourselves"
just as he stood up straight she quickly used her semblance to kick him off the bullhead and dove into the hole, just before she touched the floor rayla grabbed her and tried to use her shadows to protect them all but as soon as she did the bullhead crashed and hit water, tore through the dirt and ripped through a few streams then harshly smashing into a cliffside near a beachfront stopping them and knocked them all unconscious.
Reaper charged his lightning into his suit and roared dropping into the ground splitting it into a web like design in a fifty foot radius and accidentally spooked grimm away from him like scared pups in the woods.
In hindsight of scaring grimm into running away made him chuckle. "as entertaining as this is I can't let you take my hunt from me little grimm."
Grabbing his belt he fished out four bricks of dust and slipped them in his fore arms and calves before being noticed.
In a response to this challenge the bigger ones all lunged at him only for them to be struck down in a barrage of orange gold lightning bolts. for the first time, he took off his mask exposing his face but this was a special occasion.
"grimm blender is a better nickname" he said humming 'all eyes on me' as he ran over to everyone's crash site. Pretty soon he stumbled onto a few bandits closing in on his prize so he used his lightning to sprint like he did with Jacque and just as one bandit got into the hole that he made he activated the rest of his armor and stabbed one of them through the back with his entire forearm soaked in blood and inside the bullhead.
Ripping his arm out reaper punched him in the face and kicked the bandit aside.
his voice took on his more terrifying tone but the guttural rumbling and the hissing was still there. "you guys better leave before I shred you apart and feast on your aura" he exclaimed charging up his lightning up and fired at their feet. "you. Have. Been. Warned."
Reaper stood there watching them stand their ground not listening nor backing down so he decided he had to deal with all eight of them.
flicking his sword in a fluid circle they yelled and charged him so he couldn't comprehend the fight but they were so uncoordinated reaper almost laughed when he dodged two of them just in time to watch them hit each other and quickly went down, reaper rushed a woman with a whip sword and dressed scantily but that didn't matter to him cause his eyes were for looking at a different woman, he let her wrap her weapon around his left arm and hooked it into his fist.
"what word would you use to describe a sudden surprise change of events" he said keeping her in place as she tried to pull him in only to force his mask off his face.
Reaper let his mask fall in the sand they all got a good look at his face and slowly realized why he was so terrifying to say the least.
"I don't know what!?" she growled straining to pull him anywhere and saw him spark a bit then froze for a second

"a shocker" he grinned evilly and let all of his orange gold lightning go to her and watched her scream and burn on the sand. Within in seconds her body burst like a balloon and soaked the sand in her red matter.
The other five shook in terror and ran off.
"I thought that guy died two years ago" one of the men screamed "it doesn't matter Harrison, just keep running!"
For reaper, It was entertaining to watch his prey to run like headless chickens but even if the were going to be written off as crazy he couldn't take that chance showing he wasn't very merciful. Using his lightning bolts he shot all five men through the back and chest leaving smoking holes the size of baseballs burning through as they all went down, soon to be grimm chow.
With his back to the bullhead he latched the mask back over his face and ran back over to finish his personal mission, 'fuck what he wants, im not killing them if they can't help it' He thought as he got to the ship
"that's far enough demon!" a bandit exclaimed trying to sound intimidating if not for his voice cracking and only made it worse when reaper jumped on the bullhead seeing said bandit holding his target hostage.
"now that I have your attention-" he began only to stop seeing reaper laugh, "what's so funny demon, I could kill this chick and you can't do anything about it!"
instead of compliance he got hysterical laughter. he lost control of his laughing when the bandit got angrier, "I said shut up and back up or I'll kill her!" instead of listening he just kept laughing.
"dude seriously, stop laughing I don't want to die here!" yang yelled trying to break free but due to not having the strength to do so, but for a moment she broke free but the bandit quickly hit her in the face with the butt of his pistol and put her in a choke hold.
"you seriously don't get it do you?" reaper asked clutching his stomach laughing like a madman.
"what are you getting at?" he asked seeing the eyes from behind the protective glass lenses. He grabbed yang by the back of her neck to shield himself from her.
"you kill this girl and you'll be doing my job for me, but first, I need to judge her…if she's changed during her time in prison I'll kill you and leave, but if not I'll let you kill her then I'll kill you to protect the white one"
Yang stiffened at that and gasped 'the…white one?'
He let her go and was about to interrogate her when the
bandit stopped him. "what about her?"
Following his aim he saw weiss unconscious next to jaune and the others. smiling under his mask he replied "she's a changed woman, already judged and deemed fit to keep living….plus she's the most beautiful thing on remnant, so you see, I can't let her die"
"b-but you're the Reaper!" he hollered stretching out his arms "you're a cold blooded assassin accredited for dozens of kills in almost two years!"
Reaper snarled as he rushed them quickly shoving his needle blade into the pirate's forehead and ripped it out spraying blood all over the left side of his mask and said "I kill those who see change and refuse its call" falling to the ground yang tried to get away but was punched by what felt like a freight train to her head knocking her into the side of the bullhead.
